That is strange because the diabetic dieticain told me and my DH that 15gms was a Carb???

Perhaps it has something to do with an insulin dosage. 1 carb is 1 carb gram. Maybe she means 1 unit of sliding scale insulin per 15 carbs eaten.

That is it! I went to the diabetics classes. Amy usually needs 1 unit of insulin for every 15 grams of carbs. Sometimes more or less, but that is what we go by most of the time.

Jeanette--we can talk JUDDD here. Won't bother me. Oh, and Berta too!! I have done JUDDD, will do JUDDD in the future and C'Marie even has done it, so we can chat about that here. No worries. I love this little group! Oh, and I forgot that we can incorporate JUDDD into a P4 phase. That would make it so you can all stay aboard!!!

I am not sure what I am doing right now or what I will be doing this week. I am just taking it day by day. I DO know I am off hcg, not really following P3, not really following anything right now. Eating what I want and when. And it is NOT good for me. I don't like how I look, so I have to do something real soon. But do not feel motivated. And too burned out on diets and being too obsessive about it all. I have to work tomorrow so it will be easy to fast until dinner. I work from 8 til 2 so I will be busy and occuppied for most of the day. We shall see.

So even I should not be here LOL. I am not even doing hcg or JUDDD.

{{{Dawn}}} some days the whole dieting "thang" gets very, very old! I feel your pain! Take a break, and do something different. For example instead of fasting (your standby), eat some LC foods every few hours. It may be a surprise to you and your body. I've noticed on my DD I'm become a little grumpy because I feel somehow deprived. Emotionally, maybe having some good fatty foods will make you feel better. I think taking JUDDD LC style has been really nice for me, and the scale seems to be liking it so far, but of course I'm only my 4th day.

I bought a bunch of generic laughing cow cheese wedges from Aldi today for the cabbage recipe and they are only 25 calories each. I have my 3rd DD tomorrow.

Thanks for all your help, and know that I'm praying for you tonight!

of course I wanna hang here too, with you Berta and all the girls!! You all are my peeps! LOL! you ladies! Besides we are learning how to manage DD calories (about the same as hcg) so I think they do go hand-in-hand. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, "hand-in-hand, together we can!"

I always expect that when I wake up in the mornings after a Down Day (DD) I will be STARVING, but I always wake up feeling the same. So interesting!

Buttah, C'Marie and Dawn, I lurked the JUDDD forum last night for several hours. I got some great ideas, thanks for directing me there.

152 this morning. YIPPEE! I just looked on my tracker to see if this was my low, because I thought I got down to 151 something, but I can't find any record of it. This may be a new low, maybe??? to you all, and hopes for the whoosh fairy to drop some pounds!
WTG!!! I'm so glad it's working for you!! You can do it!! YAY!!

Nice!! A new low in th past year!! You're doing great!!

Dawn-hang in there! I know how that feels!!

I'm moving on from JUDDD. I am up 2lbs in the past 2 weeks. Not sure it's just JUDDD, but I hate the DDs and feel terribly hungry and deprived those days, then to be not rewarded on the scale? Not working for me . I have been working out pretty faithfully the past 4 weeks, and I do gain from exercise, but you would think by the 4th week the "new workout" gains would be over. Sigh. I'm up too high to keep messing w. it for now. So, back to LC Monday. I'll keep the workouts in and love having a more consistent exercise routine. Hopefully the weight will come back down w. LC and time. I'm trying to keep it all in perspective. It's 10lbs. Not the end of the world, but I don't want to let it get out of hand.

Anyway, I'll be around still. We're all fighting the fight!

WOE: hCG Rx shots/JUDDD maintain
Start Date: 1/4/2010 Now R9 P2
I'm down UNDER last round's LIW now. I have 2 weeks or so left.

My SIL is getting married 2/22 and I want to be in P3 when she does, since I am on Rx I have to stop 72 hours prior to that Friday, or more. I will probably "cheat" with a bite or two of gluten-free cake (yes, I know, I know) on that day, but will be doing JUDDD rotations for P3 regardless so I will have built-in CD's every other day. If I decide NOT to have any GF cake at the wedding, then so much the better. This event was unannounced until after I started my round or I wouldn't have scheduled things this way. This would be the first time I have ever deviated from Simeons' instructions in P3. I feel kinda weird about it, and yes, I know, I could pass on the cake altogether. And I might. No one would probably notice or care. I often eat completely differently from the rest of the family since early 2010 when I started taking care of myself and losing weight; everyone's used to it. I doubt they'll have alcohol there, so at least it won't be a double-whammy. Should I count it as an interrupt and jump back on, since a little starch is allowed on P2 but not P3? I also have observed that some JUDDDers go from P2 to JUDDD and do not observe P3 no starch no sugar rules, they just do JUDDD and do fine, because they maintain regardless of what they eat if they track the calories.

Sometimes I hate that my life is so complicated where food is concerned. Why do I give it so much control? Either I'm so "in control" that I'm rigid, or I'm afraid somehow to eat or to eat a something, or I'm self-righteous about not eating the something.... how do so-called "normal" people deal with special occasions?

Sorry, just venting. Maybe by then I won't give a d@mn what there is to eat because I'll look so HOT

I know EXACTLY how you feel. It's so stinkin' frustrating! Whatever you decide, just own it, and make it a choice. It's not cheating if it's a planned choice in my opinion. I would do a PI, and jump right back on it. Prayers and hugs for you my friend!

We are all still in the battle ROYALE!

So much of what we deal learning this "art of maintenance" as well as losing is the emotional aspect. Sending you love and prayers.

Berta, hope you're doing well!

Weigh in for me was 151, but it was later in the morning, so I have a hard time trusting it until official WI tomorrow at 5:30 a.m.

Hi Everyone
Tomorrow is my first DD. My PC isn't working(Have a man coming tues evening to fix it) so I am using DH.
I have been thinking I would be ok with the 500 cal since I have been doing them with the RXHCG.Then it hit me. I may be hungry as the HCG kept me from being hungry. But I will just have to keep in mind tomorrow I can eat!And if Iam hungry I will drink, drink, drink, water of course

I am up to 248 I knew I was starting JUDDD so I have been having a carb fest yesterday an today I didn't even miss them when doing HCG.So what's up with that I wonder?

@berta, you will get over the carb fest thingy eventually if you allow yourself some carbs on JUDDD. At least that's what happened to me. After I was in P4 last time with JUDDD, I worked my way through a few bites of my favs and then calmed down
Unless you decided to do Atkins with JUDDD, and maybe that's why you carb-fested while anticipating it.

I went to get some more SF Torani syrups today. I never really ventured into these kinds of things before, I have only used stevia previously, but recently got into erythritol, xylitol etc. I have been using SF Torani all this round and so far have been fine, at least I think so. Torani has sucralose and not aspartame. But Once or twice I have even had a diet pepsi. Trying to not be so hard on myself this time around, but not lose all common sense

So I had SF english toffee and salted caramel to start with, and today I got sf french vanilla and almond roca. I plan on having a bit of the almond roca in my last protein tonight before bed, which will be a very small serving of nonfat greek yogurt (allowed on protocol if you consider milk protein ok as per Simeons).

@Jeanette, sounds like induction is doing good for you. How long are you going to do it? Did you decide no more hcg for you?

Dawn, are you back on P2?

Julie, you too? I thought I read on another thread you were considering it.

Good morning everyone. Well being extremely good (not eating anything) at the church "souper" bowl party last night has brought me to my lowest so far, 150! And there were a million temptations of some of my favorites!!!

Woot! Woot!

I'm *this close* to a new decade! And only 6 more days of Induction levels and I can have nuts and berries. Really, I can live in Rung 2 of Atkins (I think).

I hope the whoosh fairy is kind to all you ladies!

Berta, I think you will like JUDDD, but the hardest part for me is counting every calorie.

C'Marie, I won't say I'll never do it again, but I've got to let my hair grow back! LOL! I'm less than 20 pounds from goal, so I don't think I will, not if JUDDD/Atkins Style continues to work for me.

Today is an Up Day so 1913 calories for me (yippee skippee). I will say doing hcg makes the Down Days (383 calories for me) pretty easy.

My plan is to finish this week with INDUCTION level JUDDD and then re-introduce nuts and berries (the biggest thing I miss) and continue JUDDD until I hit my 90 pounds lost (143.5), then take a break like I do in hcg and maintain with daily weigh-ins and correction days.

I think I was anticipting a new plan and just went nutsI stayed the same this morning though and we ate out Sund. But i ordered baked tilapia and baked tater and a salad I ate 1/2 of the tater and that was not like me at all

Today has gone fairly well I have been hungry, but I wll make it, as tomorrow I can eat!!!I ate over my calories a bit 417 is what I am to have and ate 423.But I am not worrying about it, I am still under 500!

Jeannette you are so close.I am so proud of you!!!KUTGW
I sure hope I can do this JUDDDD right. It seems ok so far but then this is my frst day too!

I put my food on Spark People they add it up fo me!IT'S FREE TOO!
I'd rather count the calories than the carbs.I still don't understand how to count them

I'm down again ! WOOP! so I have about 8- 9 pounds to go this round if I make it to get back to my lowest before menohell. big smiles here today.

@berta I think you'll get the hang of it! I just hate counting calories but it seems to work for me pretty good. And eventually I figured out "some" calories worked better than others, or better that some calories were not with others - like I could do starches but by themselves.... not starch and fat together! (just like Dr. S said! imagine that!)

@Jeanette, so you're doing induction-Atkins at the same time doing induction-JUDDD? good for you! I understand about being burnt out on hcg or having other issues restarting. I'm doing this round and then we'll see how JUDDD does for me in the 6 weeks - I probably will do pretty strict Atkins with it as well - maybe even like you - and then we'll see if I go back to hcg for another or not. I may be asking to pick your brain because I suspect I've never actually *done* Atkins right before from some of your comments on fb.

Have a lot of work at the office so I better get back to it!

(((HUGS))) all around!

Berta, that happened to me all the time on JUDDD! Often I was down after an UD! Proof that the weight of any given morning is not an accurate reflection of results from what you ate the previous day (and why I often got so frustrated with "hCG daily scale mentality").

You might want to consider only weighing (GASP) ONCE a week? The thing is... in the long run... it really does work.

Proof that calories in does NOT equal calories out Our bodies are much more complicated than that.

Berta, if you were to weigh tomorrow or the morning after the next DD, you'd probably (but not definitely) see the loss you're "due." That said, weighing once a week is probably a good idea! Best of luck to you!

@Berta, why are you going so low in your DD numbers? You can just do 500 for the first two weeks and then if you want to go lower to the calculated numbers you can. What are your numbers supposed to be?

Berta, YOU CAN DO IT! I think weighing once a week is a great idea! Wow!

Buttah, thanks for all your help!

Dawn, amen, we are definitely complicated creatures.

C'Marie, yes I'm doing JUDDD 1913/383 calories and ATKINS INDUCTION at the same time. So far, so good!

Lots of love and hugs girlies!

Berta, sometimes that calculator is wonky, too. Be sure when you put it on lbs (for USA) that it stayed there when it calculated and didn't bounce back to kilos (or whatever they are). But C'Marie is correct - you can do 500 calories the first two weeks, per the book's "induction," or even after that, and still lose weight. And please know that the UD number is just a guideline, per Dr. Johnson (via many members who contacted him). You don't HAVE to eat that much. You just don't want to eat more than that. For me, I had to eat a bit less than my UD calculator number in order to lose.

But I am doing the 414 DD so I don't have to reduce the number,I may later go to 500 and see how I do. But this first week I want to keep it low as possible. But if I do happen to go over a few calories on DD it won't matter.
Today UD I was 2053 and my numbers were 2072.But it was my first UD I don't have any intentions of doing that every UD. Just enjoying it today

Berta: I lost weight on 500 DD calories on JUDDD - I only weighed once a week, because after over a year and a few rounds of HCG - I was so used to weighing daily that I knew I would panic if I weighed after every Down Day and was "up" - so I weighed once a week and was always down even after I added carbs back into my diet. Worked great until I went on vacation and came back afraid to weigh - that snowballed and I didn't weigh from June until January - learned my lesson on that.

Give it two weeks without altering the rotation and see what happens. I have decided I am going to combine JUDDD with my last 4 days of P3 - not to lose those last few days, but to get the Sirt1 gene working. After about a week, I didn't have a problem on down days, I couldn't believe I really wasn't that hungry. They actually became easier to follow than the up days.

Yes I beleive I will be okay on JUDDD it will just take me a little bit to get my body use to eating differently after nearly a year (In April)of HCG.It just got to the point I was cheating on RX HCG all the time and not getting anywhere.I may go back to it later, as I still have enough in the fridge for about four or five more rounds and I don't want to waste it considering it was $30.00 a vial
