C'Marie do a search for a dijon chicken/cabbage recipe (I also do a curry version) I've posted a couple of times. That and P2 chili plus 96% ground beef burgers plumped up with parsley, garlic and onions w/ steamed asparagus are my "filling" go to's.

You ladies are doing amazing! WTG C'Marie! Berta, I
you sweet lady! Hope you're weekend shaped up better. It is true the longer you "diet" the harder it becomes. I am struggling in Induction. I do great maintenance wise, but losing, now that's a different story. I am up 2 pounds from last Monday, for a total of 3 pounds in 2 weeks. (sigh....)So technically, out of my window this morning. 156.0 I'm determined to get two weeks induction in and then check my results. I had to start over several times, so I'm on Day 2, 12 days to go... Miracle noodles sound good, I will have to look for those. I have a cart full of goodies at Netrition, just waiting on payday. ![]() Julie and Angela, I'm thinking of JUDDD again. Maybe a LC version. After I give Induction a fair shot, I'm going to review the information again. You ladies are SPECTACULAR! Dawn, I totally get the BALANCE attempts. I'm right there with you. Love to you all, and to the new peeps and others I might have missed along the way. Trying to get this in before work starts in 9 minutes.

a word of caution about Miracle noodles. They smell horribly fishy out of the bag and must be rinsed in water FOR A REALLY LONG TIME to get rid of that smell. Then they absorb the flavors of what you cook them with. They are essentially flavorless and seem to work better with "Asian" seasonings than with "Italian" ones. Lots of recipes around here. Check the JUDDD and other forums.

Julie--I think you will do amazing on JUDDD. I loved doing it!!!
I am back on P2. I hopped off when it was my son's birthday and wanted to break until my mom's visit was over on Weds. But she cancelled on me, so why not hop in sooner? I am done with my first VLCD and onto Day #2. Going great so far!!! Have a few more weeks to go. Hoping to get as low as I can before leaving so not sure how long I will be on P2. Just one day at a time right now. Happy Monday to everyone!!!

Thanks ladies!! You're so sweet!
JUDDD is a livable plan, to be sure. It's like P2 every other day, which beats every day . But, I'm not losing anything. I'm sticking to the DD's really faithfully, which is the hardest part! I'm not doing strict LC on my UDs, I've had some froyo and choc raisins. But, always at or under my 1800cals the calculator recommends. It'll be a full week tomorrow, but I'm up today (after an UD, so I know not to count it). I'm also working out, but it's been 3 weeks so the initial water retention should be gone by now. I'm doing 2 full weeks w/ strict cals and see where I land. I know it's slow losses (compared w. hcg) but I'd really like there to be losses. I can maintain w. LC every day. But since I feel like the DDs are a sacrifice, I expect a reward on the scale. The added benefits of the Sirt1 gene, arthritis etc. aren't a big draw for me. Not bashing that, but not really why I'm trying it. A definite bonus though Marie-you're doing great!! Jeanette-that's the downside to LC/Atkins induction. Cheating will really mess up the scale Dawn-good luck! you're quite a trooper!! I may need to resort to another round eventually. I don't want to, but I want to be "done". Sigh. I may need to really commit to the P3/P4 phase w.o. any trips. That's been my downfall each stabilization lately. Buttah, Angela, Berta, et. al-hope you're all doing well and having a fabulous week!!

I'm only down .6 for VLCD2 loss, so not even where my strict JUDDD would take me so a bit discouraging. BUT in the interest of full disclosure, even while I completely stuck UNDER 500 calories, I did have more protein and less fruit. So today I'm backing off a bit from the protein, and drinking more water. I did better on water yesterday so I expected to see a *whoosh* but by the way the rings and my middle are feeling I can tell I'm retaining. OH and I forgot - I had some of the konjac noodles so I may be plumped up internally from that. So we carry on! ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!

@julie, IMHO 2 weeks isn't enough of a fair trial for JUDDD, it seems to be a longer-term plan. You can't activate the SIRT1 that quickly, from what I understand. I definitely used it for the arthritis/anti-inflammatory benefits and not sure of my results but it seemed to help the pain overall.
@Berta, keep doing what you know to do and it'll come off @re: the shirataki, I agree, I wouldn't use the ones with soy for many reasons - BUT some people do use soy for protein and that's why I said what I did. There are vegetarians who use the protocol. IF someone did that, in order to not mix proteins, if they used the soy/konjac blend noodles, they should add more soy to the meal to get the protein requirement in. Otherwise, it's not protocol. @Dawn, glad you're back at it, go get 'em! @Jeanette, nice to "see" you! LOL @Buttah, I bet you're sticking P3 wonderously! @Angela! you rock! I am trying to get to the 120 pounds lost but I doubt I will make it! How did your last "official" weigh-in go for your award? @Cindy! yay for giving up cream. I cry a little when I have my coffee black LOL. Last edited by C'Marie; 01-28-2013 at 11:24 AM.. |

Julie--you have to give JUDDD a long time to get results. Nothing like hcg, huh?!!! I lost the first week I did it, then gained a tad on the 2nd. So you have to hang in there. I would give it an honest month's trial at least!! And dieting every other day---sure beats 21 full days of hcg any time. You might just want to lay of the scale for a bit. Best of luck!!

I had miracle noodles yesterday and made p2 spaghetti. The noodles were the best part of the meal. I used almost all of the package and I was still down 1.3 today so no bad effect from it. I take that back, I can't be sure because the spaghetti was all I had yesterday. No fruit, no dinner, no Melba's, so that might account for the loss, not sure.

You're right about the vegetarian P2 and the soy shirataki noodles, C'Marie! I hadn't thought of that.
But they can stick in the system for a bit (if you don't go, you know they're in there), and either way, your second day losses seem pretty fine to me, considering your losses (even if they were load weight) yesterday. I'm sure you're going to go very well! |

Good morning ladies! Well, I wish I had good news, but at least I don't have bad news!
I stayed the same. Considering I ate at 10:00 last night, and didn't sleep well, and feel a little backed up, I'm okay with it. I probably ate more than I should because of hunger. My Monday night class makes Mondays super challenging. I'm definitely in ketosis. I think there will be a loss tomorrow.Dawn, C'Marie and Julie, I'm thinking of JUDDD with this. I'm going to look at the calculator today and see what pops up. Do you think I could do it with Induction? Seems like it might work. I think the calorie "confusion" has to be helpful somehow. You ladies are doing great! Yeah, Angela, what C'Marie said, how did it/is it going for TOPS??? So excited for you!!! Berta, sending you some whooshies and everyone else too! Lots of hugs! I am back on P2 and have dropped almost 3 lbs!! I am wowed!! hcg is still good to me, thank goodness.
Jeanette--there are plenty of people doing a low carb JUDDD. Here read this: Ouestion- faster WL with LC? and this: Getting back off carbs and one last one: Anybody hittin' it hard, low-carb? :) This should keep you busy LOL. And my answer to if you could do this along with induction----a big fat yes!!! |

Well I wasn't even going to post today as I have not even had my HCG Sunday or Monday as we were out of town and RXHCG has to be kept refrigerated..But I did take it this a.m. I was up to 249 today. So I gained 5 lbs in 2 days.
I just fixed up a new vial of RXHCG so I am going to go until it is gone, then I am thinking of trying JUDDD for a awhile to see. I know the losses will slow down but I am gaining anyway so slower would be better than gaining. I am back on track today so we will see what happens in the a.m. Jeannette hang in there you will make it! Dawn CONGRATULATONS on the losses. KUTGW. Julie I hope you keep doing what you are doing you have doen so great. You girls so good in my eyes.If I ever get that small I will faint ![]() ![]() AngelaI have the Johnsons Alternate Day Diet book. I tsays to use Meal replacement shakes for the first 2 weeks evry ohter day. ut oly 500 cal. Not sure I can handle that. But I may try it after this vial is gone.I would have to buy Glucerna because of my diabetes, but I am think that would work ![]() How are you liking or disliking JUDDD? Is it working for you? It sure sounds good to me. Hi Marie,Buttah, Felina, Dooy and everyone else. Hang in there ladies!!!! We have to conqueor(spelling) this fat! ![]()

Berta, you too "hang in there..." you are so sweet!
I don't think you HAVE TO do the shakes and stuff, they just want to make sure you stay within the calories. It's like Julie said, just do the 500 you're used to doing with hcg. If nothing else, we all know EXACTLY what 500 calories looks like! I'm going to try JUDDD/INDUCTION starting tomorrow. I plan on having a INDUCTION level carbs with JUDDD DD calories (for me the DD is 383 calories and the UD is 1913). Here's my menu for tomorrow: B: 2 cups of coffee with liquid splenda and 2 T of half and half 49 calories L: 2 cups of salad with calorie free dressing and my Low fat/LC pizza crust and 1 ounce shredded part-skim mozz. cheese 168 calories D: 4 oz. of Swai fish and 200 grams of cabbage 108 calories Snack: 2 egg white omlette 32 calories Total: 382 calories Here's my recipe for the single serve Low Fat/Low Carb Pizza Crust (adapted from Ginny's Low Carb Kitchen). Dry Ingredients: 2 Tablespoons of parmesan cheese (canned) 1 Tablespoon of ground flax meal 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1 teaspoon of psyllium husk powder 1 teaspoon of Nutritional Yeast Flakes Seasoning: Italian, onion, garlic, fennel Wet Ingredients: 1 egg white 1/2 tablespoon of cream 1 tablespoon of water Mix dry ingredients, add wet ingredients. Batter will be thick. Pat into a pancake shape in a skillet (sprayed with Pam) and cook for about 5 minutes. Turn over and finish cooking. Add toppings. |

Oh, and there are no substitutes for the Nutritional Yeast Flakes (it's not Brewer's yeast or active dry yeast). You can make it without but it's not as good.

So I thought I'd ask on this thread for opinions please! I'm in R2P2VLCD 34. I want to keep going for bit longer but I have the 2 week trip coming up. Nicaragua. Might be sketchy in the food area there. So my question is should I keep going and maybe do 2 week interruption ( while away) and back on pellets for 2 weeks after or should I give up this round? I've read that many keep going on their plan when not rx and don't risk immunity. I really don't feel like stopping and want this weight gone!
Any thoughts? |

Thanks that recipe sounds yummy. The JUDDDD book says we can have like mon, ewed ,fri for dd and sat & sun UD. Did you know that? It talks of alternate day also. I have been thinking I would do UD Sun & Friday as that is when I cheat the most, then DD mon, wed, thurs and Sat an alternate day.Would that work? Also I am honestly math illiterate so I don't know how to figure my UD calories.I am not going to gorge but I am so looking forward to some potatoes and fried chicken! ![]() Last edited by Berta48; 01-29-2013 at 12:44 PM.. |

@berta, I can tell you with JUDDD, doing strict rotations will help. If you switch days or have a "medium" day or stick with days of the week where you don't strictly alternate every other day, you will either not lose much or just maintain for awhile. Better to do strict every other day no matter the day of the week. JMHO.
re: me - I was down more than a lb this morning but I'm hoping it speeds up - why? Because I was at this exact weight 2 weeks ago doing strict JUDDD..... with LC. So yes, Jeanette, I was doing strict LC with JUDDD and it was rockin. I want another 15 pounds off and I wanted to do a short round. But I will just do what I can do! |
