P2 Simeon's Protocol Month of Dec
Anyone following Dr Simeon's protocol is welcome here. This is for our P2 folks.
Hi there!! I was thinking of reviving our weekly P2 thread. Then I thought maybe not too many people are on P2 right now with the holidays and all. So why not do it monthly, like our P3/P4 thread? If I am the only one on P2 right now, then I will post for my own benefit ![]() I started the VLCDs today, so today is my Day 1. I loaded this weekend and boy was I ready to pop last night. I hate loading for that reason. Love it because of the food with no guilt thing, but am now ready to get to losing. Happy Monday everyone!!!

This seams like a lonely thread. I'm leaving for my trip tomorrow morning. Just hanging out in Florida waiting for my ship! I'm using last 2 days of my trip to load. I was POP yesterday and have 3 lbs lost to show for it. That is exciting!!! But I am still well above my LDW from last round. I feel much better already so that is a major plus!!! I am ready for more losses!!! Happy Tuesday!!! |

Hi, can i join---i loaded on dec 2 & 3----i am starting my second week today---am down 6# my first week, i know things will slow down a little----i had to start before christmas, so i am going to do a small interruption on christmas day, i want to do at least a 40 day one this time around, this is my 5th round-----i didn't want to wait until January, i would have been awful in the eating department if i did so-----ii am protocol, the only change i am doing this time is a teaspoon of half & half in my morning tea---i haven't had any hunger, that i can't cope with---i am doing the intermountain pellets

sunny--welcome!! I don't even want to say what # round I am in LOL. I couldn't wait til after Christmas either. I had to stop the gain. I have enough to get off as it is. I don't want to have to take even more off! I am doing coffee with a tad bit of cream too. Good luck to us all!!!

Hello. I'd like to join too. I stumbled across this forum and already read quite a bit of interesting and helpful information. Glad to find such good support.
Some background on me... I am constantly having to watch my weight and see it going up when I'm not paying attention...feel like I'm constantly yo-yo'ing as far back as junior high. I've tried so many diets, and most of them do work to some degree (if you can manage to stick with it is the hard part sometimes.) My lightest adult weight was 115, when I was eating only healthy fats (like EVOO, avocados, etc.), lean meats, and lots of whole grains and exercising 5/6 days a week...I just don't have time for that any more. About a year ago I took on a 3rd part time job and started a new relationship about the same time. That on top of having 2 children keeps me very busy, and I don't always make the time for myself to work out and eat healthy. I'm sure you can all relate. Well, now we're talking marriage and I'd like to be back to the weight I was when we met. I hate having all those size 2's in my closet that I can't wear. This is my first time on hcg...my mom introduced me to it and she has had some success (also a "lifetime yo-yo dieter" - I guess that's where I learned it from). My load days were Nov. 29 & 30. I didn't have a scale, but I bought one and finally weighed myself on 12/3 and was 142. Today I weighed in at 136.2. |

Dawn is it ok on p2 to have any flavored tea....
i am not weighing in every morning like before, i get somewhat discouraged when i am up some instead of down, so i weigh in every few days------my next weigh in will be Friday.... |

I should so this! But my brain/body just doesn't compute. My body is almost on autopilot in the morning and goes to the scale quickly! I have to jump on the scale in the AM. Anyway, any tea is fine on protocol. Any flavored is good. I have tried all kinds of tea and enjoy most I have tried. I am following Dr Oz's guidelines as to the teas. I am drinking a cup of pu-erh tea in the AM and 2 cups of white tea after lunch. Has worked well, but I would do whatever you have/like.

I have not even been posting in my own thread LOL!!! Whoops!!! I am down a good bit this week. Down 2 lbs overnight!!! I am firmly into the 120s now. With less than a week at being on the VLCDs. I am amazed, but also know it could have to do with my weighing in 2 hours later than normal. I love the weekends! This will now be my normal weigh in time for the next few weeks since the kids are now home from school and on vacation. So no more early weigh ins!!! Yay!!!
I thawed some shrimp so I can have a bit of variety, cooked a bunch of onions so I can have veggies that are heat and eat. I have also bought a bunch of chicken on sale $1.88/lb. I am good to go for a while now!!!! Just have to stick to the plan. Have a great weekend y'all!! |

Loading today and tomorrow for my second (and hopefully final) round.
Just eating protein and high fat, no carbs and sugar. I'm hoping to gain the bare minimum so I can start losing existing fat and not load weight. Per my coaching with Robin W (and my clinic kind of agreed after how bad the last round was), I'm supposed to load three days, rather than two, but we'll see how I feel after two. Perhaps I'll just have cream in my coffee and an egg for breakfast on the third day, then be on VLCD protocol by lunch. Split the difference and give myself a little "bridge." Can't wait to get to goal. I hope I make it.

Dawn, I'm SO ready. I had 9 week break of P3/P4, eating plenty of fat the whole time, so I think I'll be much better off (hunger-wise) than when I went straight from months and months of regular ole dieting, then a month of JUDDD (w/ a DD right before Load Day 1) to HCG. Fingers crossed!
If it weren't for this trip, I would've started sooner. Now I'm kinda glad I waited. |

Today is VLCD1!! Here is my report on loading:
We were out of town without a scale the day before I started loading, so I don't have my exact weight, but I had stabilized from R1 at around 155 (LDW was 152.7, so I considered that in my "window.") So I'm going to call my starting weight for this round 155, although it could've been slightly more or less. Load gain was a shockingly small .9 lb. I think I loaded well. I was stuffed nearly every minute, and I ate low carb, high fat and protein. Things like full fat GY, cream in my coffee, avocados (can people please learn to spell that word?), lots of nuts, tons of bacon, cheese, chicken with all the skin, cheeseburgers (protein style - no bun). Last night I had a protein 3 x 3 from In n Out. I didn't even know those existed (thank you, DS). Calories were around 2700 on Load Day 1 and 3000 on Load Day 2. That's not even double what I've been eating, but it contained NO empty calories whatsoever. Everything I ate was fat or protein. Robin W. had wanted me to load three days, but I honestly don't think I can do it. Perhaps because I have Simeons words in my OCD head, and he clearly said to begin VLC on the day of the third injection. (For those who needed to load longer, he never really said when those extra loading days should be, but my interpretation is that they should be BEFORE the first two injections - otherwise you're overeating with HCG in your system. I dunno.) Perhaps I'm just too excited to get started, and as I've said, I hate loading. God I hope I'm not hungry! So today we begin. I may have some egg whites for breakfast since I'm not doing the 3 day load, or cream in my coffee, but by lunch I'm doing the protocol! Last edited by buttah; 12-17-2012 at 09:29 AM.. |

Hi there, would love to join you ladies for on going support! Awesome losses everyone. I find eating p2 during the holidays has really kept me in check. I would normally gain not lose during this time of year! I am on the tail end of P2. Started mid November. Still deciding if I should go another 10 days for a solid 40 day round. I did do a 3 day FF last week, which did not really help me with losses (down then up). Hoping the the FF does not affect stabilizing in P3, so I have been strict P2 protocol for the last 5 days. I am currently at 114lbs and would like to get between 105lbs and 108lbs for wiggle room. 110 lbs is an ideal weight for me.. All of my clothes fit and I feel comfortable in my own skin. My first round I got down to 104lbs, but could not stabilize for the life of me. Come to find out the drops I used were probably fake. Lost a lot of muscle and I looked drawn in the face with a lot of loose skin. I am now using HUCOG injections Sub Q. What a world of difference. No loose skin and I don't look drawn, plus I have energy and very little hunger.

Very HAPPY!!!
Well today is day 17, and I'm down 16lbs. The things I am having trouble with is making myself eat the fruit, I just don't care for it. I am also finding that I don't have as much energy as before. I feel a little worn out easy. I hope this is just a temp. thing. I'm anemic so without the beef every day I think I need to up my Iron supplements. Does anyone know the symptoms of loss of muscle mass? I just want to keep my eyes open for this.

Sumeto, why are you making yourself eat the fruit? No where did Dr. Simeons ever say we had to eat everything. It's a maximum, not a minimum. If you are not hungry, don't eat it!

If anyone is wondering what losses can look like the first day IF you hardly gained anything during load...
preload weight 155 (I think, didn't have a scale with me that day). Just a hair out of my "window," but that is where I had stabilized. 12/18 VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 loading!) 12/19 VLCD2 154 So I lost my load weight plus one lb. In my first round, I had gained 3.3 during load, and lost exactly that my first day. So I guess I'm one pound ahead of that! And soon I'll be at my LIW from R1. So far, hunger is much better that the beginning of R1. I pray that continues. It's like a graveyard around here!!! |

I have a feeling it will be empty around here until after Jan. 1. At which point, you and I will be feeling great and skinny. Don't know about you, but I am SO GLAD I'm doing this now. The only bummer for me is NY eve. We always order stone crab from Joe's in Florida with another couple and have a really wonderful dinner. Sure, I could eat the crab, on Protocol, but not the yummy sauce or anything else, and I know I'd want MORE crab. So we're each doing dinner on our own and meeting up afterward. Kind of a sad break in tradition. But not worth waiting two more weeks to start this round! |

It's actually not butter - it's this amazing dijon sauce. I'm sure it has mayo or cream or something in it. And I really don't feel like being the one who has to crack the crab and then go weigh it. But who knows. Maybe we'll reconsider. It's good plain, too. Or I can make my own sauce.

Hi. I'd like to join this thread.
I will be starting my next hcg round in mid January. I'd start on the first but I have some surgery scheduled for the 10th, so I must wait until the 15th to start. Wish it was sooner, but I want this to be my last round (or next to last) ...here's hoping. I've been doing the JUDDD since May and my weight hasn't moved at all. At least I am only up 5 lbs from my LDW which is where it was when I started JUDDD. I feel good about that. I always seem to go up 5 lbs from my LDW after each round. I have 20 lbs to go to goal. I have found that JUDDD helps me maintain, so I now have a plan for my life once these last 20 lbs come off. I do love hcg and the protocol, so I am excited to be going back on it. In the meantime, I'd like to join in here and keep some good company. |

Welcome beadart! There's not much besides a couple of us and some crickets in here right now, so the more the merrier.
It's day 3 of my VLCDs for my goal round. So far I'm doing SO MUCH better than last time hunger-wise! (Fingers crossed, don't jinx, don't jinx). Anyway, here is this morning's report: pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale), just a hair out of my "window" and where I had stabilized after round one. Note to beadart: according to Robin Woodall of Weight Loss Apocalypse, with whom I have skype sessions, MOST people stabilize 1-3 pounds above their window due to regaining some lean mass after a round) 12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load) 12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load) 12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.4 from pre-load) I'm now .2 below last round's LDW of 153.7 and actually a bit ahead of where I was last round on this day (that time I had gained 3.3 pounds loading and lost exactly that after VLCD1). My body fat percentage is lower than it was at this weight before, proving Robin's theory correct, at least in my case. Just so happy I'm not weak, starving, shaking and feeling normal already. I hope the other shoe doesn't drop. meanwhile, having trouble updating my ticker and WL chart with new goals, etc. Stay tuned. Last edited by buttah; 12-19-2012 at 08:08 AM.. |
