Looks like everyone is doing so well! Yay, US! Good news all around, and what fantastic dedication we all have!

As for me, I'm down another 1.8 lbs, despite not sleeping much at all last night. That hCG "you might not sleep as much as you're used to" thing that Dr. S talks about seems to be starting early with me this time. But I'll take the 1.8 lbs this morning - that makes a total of 3.8 lbs so far in two VLCDs!

Are we allowed to link to outside sources? (And, if so, how do we do that?) I saw an article online yesterday that I think everyone will get a little kick out of......

TIA

Exactly why i am afraid to double check! I did have a five lb gain from a couple parties a few days before loading. I guess i was experiencing inflammation and now it is working itself out. I am happy though.
It is wonderful to see how well everyone is doing, especially those that are close to goal. I appreciate your checking in with your losses. I hope everyone keeps up the good work.
A new short term goal is to work on becoming more forum savvy.

Stop the presses! I weighed too early! I knew I should've waited to post.

I'm down to 147.5!!!!! I will correct in my journal and going forward.

Thank you, Dawn. I hope this works. If anyone thinks this violates the TOS here, please let me know right away so I can take it down.

This is "The 'Perfect Woman' in 1912." She weighed 171 lbs and "loved beefsteaks." Shows how distorted our vision of "perfect" is today compared to years ago. I don't know how long the link will be good for.

Great article. Elsie comes off sturdy in character and confident. There's the recipe for "The Perfect Woman." Thanks!

It is wonderful to see all the losses! Yay, everyone!
I am on VLCD4, -2.8! I am still a few pounds above my LDW. Between the holidays and loading, my weight shot up over 10 lbs over the five days before the VLCD started. You could have knocked me off my scale with a feather. It was a shock.
Being back in my window will boost my spirits. I was edgy and irritable last night. I got the feeling my husband and I were thinking the same thing...it's going to be a long P2 -- even though I am doing the shorter 23 day round.
I am off to Costco to stock up on shrimp and flounder. I'd love to get scallops and mahi mahi, but they are not always on the approved lists. Does anyone have any thoughts on scallops, in particular?

I love seeing all these losses. Just what I needed to inspire me. I am so looking forward to starting my protocol soon. I wish it was happening now. Unfortunately I have to wait until mid January due to some scheduled surgery. I just don't want to have anything go wrong with my next round, so I must wait. Oh well, time is going faster...I must be patient. Happy to see so many getting off to a good start.

up .5 today. Was perfect yesterday, again. Not happy. It seems like I go up to go down. Last time I usually just stalled for two days, but none of this going up for no reason nonsense. Hopefully the bathroom fairy is the reason.

Loading day one... its good to be here. I'm not going to make myself eat tons until new years day but I will eat anything I want today.

Buttah... up to go down makes sense with the fat cells filling with water then bursting.... drink lots of water to cleans that fat out of your system!!

Yup, I went down quite a bit today. Waiting a bit to post my final number, since it's only 6am here, and I usually weigh a bit later (after my morning "routine"). So it must have been those fat cells filling up with water!

pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale)
12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load)
12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load)
12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.5 from pre-load)
12/20 - VLCD4 151.9 -.6 (down 3.1 lb from pre-load)
12/21 - VLCD5 152.5 +.5
12/22 - VLCD6 151.1 -1.4 (better!)
12/23 - VLCD7 150.6 -.5 (down 5.3 from pre-load)
12/24 - VLCD8 150.9 +.3
12/25 - VLCD9 150.7 -.2
12/26 - VLCD10 149.9 -.8
12/27 - VLCD11 149.1 -.8 (down about 5.9 from pre-load)
12/28 - VLCD12 148.5 -.6 (-6.5 from pre-load, but I think pre-load was more like 155.5!)
12/29 - VLCD13 147.5 -1 (corrected from earlier weigh in)
12/30 - VLCD14 148 +.5
12/31 - VLCD15 146.6 -1.4

Two notes:

Had I not "corrected" my weight with my later weigh-in number two days ago, I would have seen no gains, just a smaller loss.

Losses by week, WAY better second week this round, even better than week 1!

week one - 4.1 lbs (DOES NOT INCLUDE LOAD WEIGHT)
week two - 4.3!

And I am just a pound above my original goal weight - 145ish! (Since lowered to 140ish)

Just popping in. Considering another round, but I must admit, I HATE P2!!! I love the losses (and you guys are so inspiring!) but I'm not sure I'm mentally prepared to do a round.

I'll likely start one in Feb if vim not down where I want to be by then.

Congrats to you guys!! WTG!!

Another drop, - 1lb. P2 isn't easy, that's for sure. I have a feeling today is going to be a long one. It will be worth it in the end.

Newbie

So glad I found this page! I'm totally new to all of this. I started my loading phase on Christmas Day and now on day 5 of P2. The clinic that I went to for my hcg (nasal spray) closed about a week b4 I started this diet so I have no one to talk to about the do's and don'ts. My weight Christmas morning was 175.5. Today, I weighed in at 169.5. I'm not sure if that's average or what Any advice or moral support would be AWESOME!!

Hopping in to say I haven't weighed since my last report on...what was that, Saturday, I think? Yeah. Went out with friends Sat night - did the best I could but not perfect. I'm going to a party tonight as well. Will also do the best I can - I expect not perfect. Tomorrow I AM (!) having collard greens! Will probably also have a bite of black-eyed peas. Skipping ham, though. I'm southern, so this is like a religion for New Year's Day. I'll weigh in on Weds am and go from there. May have started my P2 a little early, but wasn't expecting these invitations. Anyway, whatever it is, I own it and will go from there from that point on.

I did measure waist and hips this morning, though, after coffee, and I'm down 1 inch on hips and 3/4 inch on waist, so it doesn't look THAT bad at this point!

Happy and safe New Year's, everyone!

Didn't get to post this morning as I was running out the door to work.

Great job everyone! Awesome losses and places in your losses!

Down .8 today

So happy I have a new scale because this smaller loss might have been discouraging before

Happy and safe New Year's, everyone!

Good job, remembering to get the measuring tape out. Social invites are a sticky subject. I go into a panic mode when i sense one coming on.
I stayed in last night, but I almost lost it due to hunger. I haven't been doing the grissini because I have a reaction to wheat, but last night I found these coco pops in my pantry. Is anyone familiar? They are the airy circular disks they make in the supermarket that make that jarring "POP!" when they are processed. I tried to research them, in terms of protocol, on the forums, but nothing really came up. The only thing I found was an experienced HCGer say something like, as long as the substitution mimics the nutritional values as the grissini, you are fine.
Well, I am not a rogue HCGer, but I went for it. I probably won't make it a habit. I am down a pound today and feel better.
Good Luck, Everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

BTW, is there a way to spell check our posts?
