That prednisone can be nasty. So nice to meet you! GL on your VLCD1!

My DH and DS take it for their allergies. My DH can tell when my DS hasn't had it for a few days because his eyes get really red. It is so good for many things. My DD has acid reflux and I wish she could take it--it makes her gag so she cannot get it down. I would prefer her take that than the Prevacid the doc has her on. I am sure when she is older she will be able to do it though!
This.

I've decided to call this round "Round 2013-1", lol. I think that looks nicer than "Round 549" or something, lol. I've been away from Biz's site since my last failed round. I don't object to her, or to her site. I just haven't been back there in a while.

Me too, don't object to the site, just haven't been there in forever. Might have to do bootcamp this time around, since I don't want to do this again. And what a wonderful idea--round 2013-1. I like it

Bootcamp is what finally got me to stabilize. I learned a ton back then. You should go for it! If I ever get to the point where I only need a reshaping round, I'm definitely going to sign up for coaching for that. But, as of right now, I need probably 3 or 4 rounds to even think about getting to that point! (Big sigh.....)

Off to go maybe have a cup of hot tea or decaf coffee and then get the chili started for supper tonight. I'll check back in later.

The loading has been good to me, though. I have energy and no hunger. I want to go to bed soon so I can wake up lighter. I think I'll reward myself with a detox bath, first.

Sounds like you had an awesome day today! You'll drop that load weight fast, probably in just a couple of days!

I cycled between nausea and hunger all day, and I was also exhausted and sleepy most of the day. For me, that's the sign of a good round ahead of me, believe it or not, lol.

I was just over 600 cals today. I didn't have the 93/7 ground beef I thought I had. So I just used some higher fat (and higher cal) ground beef I had in the freezer. It usually is OK for me at the beginning of a round if I'm a bit over on calories. I'm hoping I'll have a nice drop in the morning. But if not, due to the beef I had to use, then I'm OK with that and take responsibility for it. I'm going to the store tomorrow, and Winn Dixie has 93/7 ground beef on sale for $3.99/lb. I'll get 4 or 5 pounds tomorrow.

I sure do love my lower grocery bill when I'm on P2!

G'nite, y'all. Here's hoping for nice drops in the morning!

Well my loading must have been a success! I had tons of energy and didn't eat all 500 calories. I had 2 peices of fish and a few bites of cucumber and an apple. Tea and coffee. Water of course

Looking forward to some amazing drops! In the back of my mind something keeps saying, "it's too good to be true". Sort of feeling like I'm not going to lose this time. I must shake that feeling! Of course I'll drop! This stuff is great!

Time for chamomile tea, good night!

P2D2. I dropped 2.0 of my 2.8 lbs of load weight! Only have 0.8 of that left to go! Right on track!

Watch my caboose chugging down the track!

I am down 3.3 lbs, too! I slept great.
I am going out for the day to visit with family so I will bring my lunch. I'll say I am doing a cleanse. Dealing with protocol and social activities, nights out, parties, that is the tricky part for me. I guess I will just deal with one event at a time.

You are wise to take lunch with you. I did a 60 day round and attended 2 weddings during that time. I packed my own food in a beautiful sequin backpack that could pass for a flashy purse and didn't take any chances. You'll do great!

My little 'secret' is just that, still a secret for the most part. So of course it's the time of year people are looking to start a new health plan and the girls at work are talking about cabbage soup diet and vegetable cleanses, etc.. The girls at work know about my plan. They've seen the results. I encourage them to give it a try and tell them it's super easy. I offer coaching for free!!! I offer any kind of help they think they would need. I'll even order it for them ( I don't go as far as paying for it, haha!). They simply don't want to try it because 500 calories isn't safe. So frustrating. These are young ladies in their 20's. I'd have given anything to know about this 20 years ago. I feel bad for them, but really they do have to figure things out for themselves. It's tough to watch. That's my vent for today. I'll just make a resolve to be there when the next diet fails and remind them to think about my plan. Of course by then I'll be considerably lighter, hoping for 20lbs lighter!

Yes this! We were at a christmas party and a girl that was very heavy was talking to me abouut diet. She brought up I lost alot of weight and how did I do it. She's going to the gym but not losing and eating what she calls watching her carbs. She's eating regular carbs just not as often. She hasn't lost much weight. So I told her about it and right away she's like thats unhealthy.. and I mentioned I couldn't work ut on p2 since my job is already strenuous and I didn't want to mess up my losses. She's like oh nice, a diet you can't exercise on. Really sarcastically. And hostile. I am 37 and she's like 5 years younger and has a 2 year old. I would have been thrilled to know about this earlier.

Just a hop on (I have to go into a meeting in a minute). I don't tell people it's a 500 calorie diet. I tell them it's a 2000 calorie diet, and that about 1500 calories comes from your fat stores.

I'll come back and post more later....

buttah - regular table salt or even bleached sea salt is very different from the kind of salt the body actually needs. If you like salt, have you ever tried switching to Celtic (grey) Sea salt or Himilayan Pink? They have natural minerals that balance out the impact of the sodium which is really essential, especially on rx potassium (me too!). Just a thought. Plus it is darn yummy! Once you go Celtic, you'll never go back...

Tea - I have a stockpile. It's more than a little embarrassing!

ACV - 0.5-1T in a 32oz glass of water, morning and night, actually DE-acidifies stomach acid and akalinizes blood and urine ph. Weird but true.

Thanks for all the tips, you guys. If someone can remind me how to multi-quote, I'll try it again.

Shelby, I think already use all that exotic salt. I will check.

Meanwhile... another "good enough" day:
pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale)
12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load)
12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load)
12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.5 from pre-load)

Oops, correction. Please humor me to fix it, so it doesn't become permanent:

Meanwhile... another "good enough" day:
pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale)
12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load)
12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load)
12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.5 from pre-load)
12/20 - VLCD4 151.9 -.6 (down 3.1 lb from pre-load)
12/21 - VLCD5 152.5 +.5
12/22 - VLCD6 151.1 -1.4 (better!)
12/23 - VLCD7 150.6 -.5 (down 5.3 from pre-load)
12/24 - VLCD8 150.9 +.3
12/25 - VLCD9 150.7 -.2
12/26 - VLCD10 149.9 -.8
12/27 - VLCD11 149.1 -.8 (down about 5.9 from pre-load)
12/28 - VLCD12 148.5 -.6 (down 6.5 from pre-load, but I actually believe my pre-load weight was more like 155.5!)

I was a little uncomfortable last night. My stomach felt empty and i had sleep issues. I feel great so far today. I woke up to a 3.7 loss! With that kind of loss, I am afraid to double check the scale. I am happy the loading weight is gone.
I hope all the other VLCD P2ers are having big losses!

That's awesome, five!

I have noticed that my hunger is finally truly "manageable," starting right about where it happened my first round (day 11-ish?). So all that dose tinkering I did my first round at the end of week one? Never again! (Not that there will be an "again," although we'll see if I get to goal. It's looking like I may be a few pounds shy.)

pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale)
12/28 - VLCD12 148.5 -.6 (-6.5 from pre-load, but I think pre-load was more like 155.5!)
12/29 - VLCD13 148.1 -.4

Interesting fact. My first week was better Round 1, but my second week is better this round, making my net losses to date about the same!

This time I feel like I may end up with a better per day average at the end. Hope so!!!

OMG, I left off the best part. Yesterday I hit and went over the 40 pound mark on my WL journey since February! (If only I'd decided to try HCG sooner - those first few months were SO SLOW!). But 40 lbs!!!

Isn't just all about the jeans, when it comes down to it. I just fit my butt into a pair of size 29 Citizens of Humanity skinny jeans (and they run smaller than my other brands!) Woo hoo indeed.
