On the diet soda - Yes, I do drink it, just not very often. Maybe, once or twice a week at most? I agree that there isn't much in there that I want to be putting in my body on a regular basis. But if I want one, I don't even hesitate. It's just not my drink of choice--water is. But I'm kind of weird that way!
I actually really like the Blue Sky soda made with Stevia which they have started to carry at Ralphs/Kroger more frequently. It beats Zevia by a mile, IMHO. Hi everyone! Just trucking along here, getting ready for the holidays. I was down another poundish today to land me below where I was last Saturday. I'm telling you, my body sure does like that lowish protein, highish fat, low carb thing. I've laid off the fruit entirely for the last two days and am down almost 2 pounds in 2 days. I love my fruit though so I WILL have my apple tomorrow, dangit! But, I'm completely out of HWC so it's off to the grocery for me this evening. I'm hoping to pick up some gluten-free, sugar-free goodies to take to my aunt's house for the Christmas weekend. The bakery at this place isn't getting back to me though so that's keeping me wondering. Worse comes to worst, I will MAKE some! ![]() Work is calming down a bit as everyone starts departing for the holidays. We've still got 6pm (Asia), 1am (London), and 5am (East Coast) calls scheduled up through next week but thinking about Mexico is going to get me through it! Hugs to all! ![]()

Morning All ! R3P4D10 & down -.04 to 130.2 which is my ldw. Did my 2nd day of Jillian Michaels Shred & Shed & I ache everywhere but I worked every muscle in my body. Really want to do this everyday since I am adamant on getting toned & getting rid of the flab around my thighs, butt & stomach area.
Still eating essentially healthy fat/ protein with a little more carb. In that I'm having small veggie servings with lunch and dinner & I've added back in strawberries for breakfast. I have nuts and dairy everyday so I'm not planning on adding back anything else for now. Happy Friday ![]() |

Hi Ladies--Second day of P3 and I was down even more to 171.2 today! I truly can't believe that! I have NEVER lost any weight after my last day of drops on P2---if anything I gain like crazy from the first day of P3 and can never stabilize.
And I ate a decent amount of dairy yesterday (I had cut out all dairy due to having some tummy problems) and I ate my "dinner" of 2 hardboiled eggs, two pieces of bacon and a cheese stick at 11pm since I was at a birth (as a doula) until 10:30pm. Hope everyone else is having a wonderful winter solstice today

Hi all
![]() Checking in this Friday morning. I am finally on VACATION until Jan 8th!!!!!!! So thrilled to see that many are doing so well maintaining around LDW/LIW's. Those that are still struggling...lots of hugs to you Get through the holidays first, then work on YOU!!!I am doing okay...173.0 this morning...-2.8 below LDW! I have been working on adding a few carbs in here & there...had a 2-3 lb. bounce-up, but it's working it's way down...so it seems like it's starting to stabilize a bit. I have noticed that artificial sweeteners affect me more that plain ole' sugar I get bloating/water retention, headaches, BM issues, etc. if I consume more than a few packets a day. So, I 'm trying to cut them out.I have 5 more lbs. I would like to lose(or technically allowed to lose per TOPS)...so in Jan. I will be adjusting my cals. on JUDDD...not really enough to lose to warrant another round of hHCG. Have a great weekend everyone! Keep on truckin'!!!!!!!

Hey all! It's like an echo chamber in the P2 thread (other than Dawn and maybe one other person), so I hope you don't mind me popping in here!
It's R2 VLCD5 for me. Was down 3.1 (not including loading) yesterday morning. Haven't weighed yet today, but it's going just a bit slower than last time. I have a sinking feeling I'll be at my last three weeks' 1.9 lb loss a week rate pretty soon. Doesn't seem fair when I still have this much weight I could lose (my goal weight is very conservative - the top of the weight charts for my height/age). I'm a slow loser even on HCG. It would make sense if I had a thyroid issue, but I don't seem to. Oh well.BUT the good news? I'm not starving. A bit hungry, yes, but nothing like last time. I have a feeling the P2 threads will be flooded with peeps after the 1st!

Hi buttah, what are you eating everyday. I've learned that some foods that didn't slow down my loss in one round can slow me down in the next round. I'll be joining you soon. I'll be on vlcd on 1/2/13.

I like chicken breast but you could use any chicken meat. I throw in about 3 chicken breasts, 1 small onion, 1 package of frozen brocoili, 1 cup of chedder cheese, some sour cream, half a cup of chicken broth (I use the low sodium) and season to taste. I usually add cumin, paprika, curry, salt/pepper and garlic. I eye the liquid level so it's barely covering the meat and if needed I'll add water. I have skipped the chicken broth when I run out. Makes about 4 to 5 meals. You can also change the veggies.

I do the exact same thing. I usually cook up a huge package of chicken thighs on Sunday night (10-12 thighs) then nosh on them throughout the week. I also like to have some on hand in case I need an emergency cd...

You never know on the weight loss. All my rounds have been different as far as that goes. Keep in mind you didn't gain much from loading so that may be why your average is down a little. As far as your thyroid goes, I am firmly convinced that 99% of doctors wouldn't know a malfunctioning thyroid from their own right foot! I won't go into details here (again ) but if you ever want some links to some good info or some more details, feel free to PM me. Suffice it to say I would be on permanent disability or worse if I had listened to what "they" had to say about my thyroid! And yes, after the first, we won't be able to keep up with all the newbies! Hiya to everyone else!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, last night I came down with the 'flu. I had been feeling seriously weird and very cold all day long for a couple of days but I figured it was the usual stress, mid-winter SAD blues (it's been raining a LOT in LA), etc. But last night I knew. I woke up at 5am this morning and I knew there was no way I was dragging myself into the garage for my workout much less dragging myself to work. I'm sure my boss wasn't thrilled (although there is really not much going on right now as staffing trickles off before the holiday) but I figured we are ALL better off if I don't go into the office and breathe on everyone and spreads this junk around! Today, I went back to sleep until about 9am and probably due to the 20mg EXTRA of HC I took, 1500mg EXTRA of vitamin C, and about 100mg of zinc spread throughout the evening and day today, I'm feeling about 75% better. I am just hoping I can kick this to the curb before Sunday when I leave for my aunt's place out in the desert. There will be babies around and I just don't want to get anyone else sick!Anyway, after I woke up, I fiddled around a bit, then decided to get on the scale... All I can think of is that I am hella dehyrated even though I drank 2 gallons+ of water yesterday...because I was down almost 2.5 pounds to 142.8! Holy moly! I haven't really seen below 145 for the last month and I haven't seen below 143 for much longer--probably October sometime! Is removing the fruit from my diet making THAT much difference??? I just can't see it but maybe. Is it the admittedly close to NK at ~2700 calories doing this? Keep in mind on Monday, I was at 150.2. Granted after an indulgent weekend but 7.6 pounds in 4 days??? Anyway, merry freakin' Christmas to me! ![]() Happy holidays to all! Keep it real ladies!!! ![]() |

Again, because the P2 thread is dead:
Not a good morning. Gained back what I "lost" yesterday: 12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load) 12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load) 12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.5 from pre-load) 12/20 - VLCD4 151.9 -.6 (down 3.1 lb from pre-load) 12/21 - VLCD5 152.5 +.6 (great) I did not have one thing off plan, and even skipped the melba, as always. Even deducted my morning bit of egg (33 calories worth) from my lunch protein grams. I hope tomorrow makes up for it. Shelby, I didn't gain much on my load, but I loaded REALLY well with fats. That's why I didn't gain. And both times I lost my gain in the first day. As for my thyroid, I have no thyroid symptoms that you read about. I sleep. I'm not cold or hot or any of the stuff that's always listed. I'm not tired or grumpy. I'm me. I'm not going to go looking for problems when, if anything, my other numbers would be in the direction of hyPERthyroid, and we know damn well that's not happening. All I know is I'm 55 and I'm not losing fast. Last edited by buttah; 12-21-2012 at 03:06 PM.. |

Morning ! R3P4D11 & down -.06 to 129.6 which puts me -.06 under ldw
I've done 3 days of the shred & shed exercise video & it's kicking my butt literally but going to stick to it. My goal is to do it everyday with a break on Christmas Eve (because I'll have people over & I have to work so no time). I ate yesterday P3 but did have 3 small bites of an Amish cinnamon roll. I have added back again small veggie/salad portions with my full fat dressing & nuts. Today just going to relax before the holidays and watch movies with my son. I am done shopping so may go out later to Starbucks for a grande breve latte with sugar free vanilla syrup ![]() |

Here are a few ideas for 200 calorie "meals" to eat throughout the day to add up to 1,000 total.
What CAN you eat on the Fat Fast for your 200-calorie "meals": - 1 ounce macadamia nuts - Macadamia nut butter with 2 ounces cream cheese - 1 ounce of tuna or chicken with 2 teaspoons mayonnaise - 2 ounces sour cream with 2 tablespoons black or red caviar - Half ounce heavy whipping cream with DaVinci syrup - 2 ounces pâté - 2 egg yolks hard-boiled with one tablespoon of mayonnaise |

Hi everyone
I am currently on Day 15 of P4 and 4 lbs under LDW. I am still amazed at how much I am eating and staying within my window. In fact, I have never been over LDW in this entire time. That being said, that could happen Christmas Day... when I intend to enjoy myself |

Well, the loss from yesterday stuck--down to 142.7 today. Still not feeling 100% but I went skating today because dangit it was sunny outside and I wanted to be by the beach! It was gorgeous but the 15 miles kicked my butt. Extra HC and a hot shower. Then I have a highly questionable date with a completely age inappropriate guy. I'm bored though so maybe he will amuse me for an hour or so...
Just coffee but we'll see what we see. |

Well, the actual items vary on a given day, of course... but
- coffee with HWC as previously mentioned, usually 2-3 a day at least one with 1/4 serving of ISOWhey to help up protein, - - sometimes steel cut oatmeal also with 1/2 serving of ISOWhey for the same reason, - sometimes 2 eggs and 2 pcs of low sodium bacon - 2 fruits: usually frozen organic wild blueberries and an orange or apple or 1 cup fresh pineapple or a pear or frozen peaches or frozen strawberries (sometimes in a shake with spinach), cantaloupe... The frozen fruit I normally have with about 1.5 fl oz of hwc, sometimes more depending where fat % is for the day at that point (usually do the berries as a late night snack). - protein in different amounts: beef, pork, chicken both with and without skin, shrimp, fish (tilapia, haddock, salmon, tuna), even had lamb chops the other day (wow, are they ever high in calories!!) - healthy fats: hwc, butter, olive oil, coconut oil - veggies: salad, spinach, brussel sprouts, cabbage, red peppers, tomato, mushrooms, onion, green beans, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower rice or mashed with cream cheese, fennel - dairy is mostly the hwc but I do have 1 oz of good cheddar from time to time or grated cheese on a casserole or cream cheese I've had SF cheesecake with pecan crust, the basic mug cake often, full sugar cheesecake "pops", Mission LC tortillas, Grissini breadsticks cos I like them, other LC bread, flourless peanut butter cookies... I do post my menus every day on the other low carb forum, where I have a journal.. and always with calories and nutrient breakdown. I run normally around 1900 calories a day, fat between 55% and 70%, protein around 100 grams. Net carbs vary quite a bit, but have been as high as 81 grams.. which was yesterday (20%). I hope this helps. If you'd like a link to my journal, just ask (I'm not sure about posting a link to that forum in this one... ). Happy to help if I can. Now I have only done 1 round of HCG so far and lost about 22 lbs and still have a long way to go. I'll be starting a new round on January 2nd and will continue posting my menus (and recipes from time to time). |
