I have a pack (1 lb) of bacon thru the day coffee with cream and splenda. Bacon sounds good right now.
I'm down 1lb or so this am... but this is my fault I had too much salt yesterday. So I've been thinking... if I can loose a pound a day low carbing, why would I want to go back to p2? I'm trying to think of a good reason.. I'm going to try to keep this up and see, but I cant afford to eat normal on the weekends (the sweets are what is making me gain) and I know that xmas and nye are coming ... I need to do this the right way. The thing I would miss the most is Rum, lol. Going to do this carefully and see what happens.

R3P4D7 & up +1.6 to 131 but still only +.08 over ldw so I'm ok. I was losing 5 days in a row but oh well still well within my window. I think I overdid it not calorie wise but just ate too much pepperoni/cheese. Not really going to stress today & eat what I had planned anyway. I'm also almost out of pepperoni anyway
![]() @laraSuzz I had been wondering the same thing myself when I was losing 5 days in a row when I really just want to lose 10 or so pounds, why put myself through another P2 ? I really haven't researched low carbing or any other diet. But a part of me likes hcg & that I know I can lose for sure and it's so laid out for me. |

Hey Girls!!
Good to see you're all plugging away!! I'm up, but have been baking and eating too much!! I am going to LC today. I just wanted to check in. I'm trying to stay offline more. I've been spending too much time on the computer and not enough with my real life responsibilities. I know you guys understand. I'm not super motivated to lose or even maintain my losses just now. I think I'm in a season of coast and enjoy and will return to a more strict eating style after Christmas. I'm feeling a bit better but still not 100%. I'm walking and trying to work out more and hope that'll help. On the temp. metabolism update- all the carbs are helping my thyroid some. My temps were up to 97.6 this morning!! The scale is solidly in the 150's though, so I'm going to have to choose here . Sigh. Back to LC I go, but will keep some fruit as well. Off for a walk. TTYL!!

I am down 2.0 this morning 126.8 which is .6 below my LDW. I was considering another round in January but I am only 6.8 from my goal, I think I will try to do it through low carb eating instead.

Hi guys.
![]() Another quick one from me, I'm afraid! So much to do, so little time! Had a fun weekend with the girls and spent Saturday drinking and eating, although mostly low carb, then Sunday snacking snacking snacking around the house. Between the whipped cream vodka Saturday (wow, yum! but LOTS of carbs!) and the sweet potato chips Sunday, I was up a whopping 4.3 pounds yesterday. I'll own it though--I had a great time and got some much-needed steam release. Had a high fat/low carb day yesterday with 1 fruit and 1 veg and was down 3.3 of that this morning. I've found that if I leave off the fruit/veg at night, I seem to have better losses on my high fat days. It still puts me at LDW+6 and out of my window by 4 but I'm trying to be happy at <150 at this point. <145 may not be realistic or doable for me to hang onto and that's ok. Work-wise, my computer program is still crashing sporadically so we're keeping an eye on that and our fingers crossed that over the holidays we don't see too much trouble. I'm going back to Mexico at the end of January for another quick 5 day visit so I'm looking forward to that. It's also a great motivator for keeping myself on track over the holidays. I CAN'T gain weight--I'm going to be in a bikini again in a little more than a month! Keep it real, ladies!!!

Morning All ! R3P4D8 & down -.06 to 130.4 so only +.02 over ldw. So far so good. Today having our work potluck but planning on sticking to protein/salad. I made turtle brownies last night & not tempted at all. So far sweets are not a big temptation. Haven't added anything if I'm not craving it. I feel if I stick to my current eating high fat/protein/low carb I am pretty satisified. So why shake things up

Good to see you all fighting the fight. Great job on sticking the window ladies!!
Shelby- you're in my boat!! I too am now struggling to stick the 140's!! I would love to be comfy at this weight (today I'm 152!!) but I'm just not. I am ready to stick to LC until I'm back down. I had froyo twice yesterday and GY twice and dropped the 3 extra lbs I picked up over the weekend. But I'm still up from my adjusted "acceptable weight" of 147. I am 5lbs from there and if I don't take this seriously I will be stuck here and not able to lose back down. I am just not into making sacrifices. I am in a good time of the week, no dining out or temptations aside form the cookies I'm making. I must tell myslef they'll be here next week, and I can have them .Be strong ladies!! |

I weighed in this morning still at my ldw, which is good I plan to load on Jan 4th and 5th, cant wait to get started again, hoping to get super close to my goal, I do the 40 day rounds, this will be number 2! Keep up the great work Kelly |

I'm back from my finishing school graduating and being overly busy tryin to catch up everywhere. Not to mention, my wonderful MIL made me a gluten-free chocolate cake for my graduation and all the food that I could eat.... plus she sent me home with leftovers. So last week I was doing good, keeping pretty clean maintenance-level JUDDD rotations, but completely LOST IT Sat/Sun two UUAD,.... UP UP and AWAY DAYS! Yep, I finished that cake completely by myself.
I am not even weighing. NOT GONNA DO IT! WOULDN'T BE PRUDENT! LOL Did a good maintenance-level DD Monday, probably more calories than I should have but after eating so much sugar and carbs even though gluten-free I was hungry. Then I did another UUAD yesterday. I found myself standing over the sink eating taco chips, salsa, and cream cheese! WTH!?! Not really THAT many calories but I wasn't even really HUNGRY! I was BORED, STRESSED, <insert another lame excuse here> !!! So did a good pretty low calorie DD today. Not sure what tomorrow will bring, IF I do an UD it may be an all protein/fat day. Gotta run, it's 2 am where I am and I gotta work tomorrow. HUGS TO ALL!

Morning ! R3P4D9 & up +0.2 to +.04 over ldw. Very happy about that because yesterday I did 30 min of Jillian Michael's shred exercise video & I have never sweated so much in my life
I was sure I was going to have a big gain today but surprisingly no.Going to try and do her 30 min work out everyday and even take it with me on vacation and see if I can tone up some this flab before I start my next round. So far I'm talking myself into being good on vacation so I can do a 23 day round. But I'm hoping that if I am diligent on the exercise front that I may lose some weight and not have to do another round. |

Jumping in here since today is my first day of P3!!! I lost 13 lbs in 23 days which is really good for me!
P3 is usually hell for me because I have a horrid time stabilizing and the CDs don't work for me. Steak days will net me a 3-5 lb loss but then it comes right back on within 2 days. This time I'm going to try Fat Fasts for correction days and see how that goes. SO happy to be here while I drink my coffee with grass-fed heavy cream, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of bacon

Nicole-good job!! I wish you quick easy stabilization!!
Pandora-that's wonderful!! Good for you!! Sounds like the exercise may be all you need!! MOM-nice!! froyo. I only had 16oz of GY and 16 oz of froyo that whole day, coming off lots of baked goodies over the weekend. i think that's what worked. I'm still up out of my range, but havne't been working on CDlike eating at all! Marie (Crz)-good to hear from you!! Good advice and example on the vacation! !You're so inspiring!! Heah-good job too!! Hope your next round is smooth and successful! Marie- I'm still out of range, but considering how many choc covered almonds and cashews I enjoyed last night, I'm thrilled to not be up this morning! I STS, which means if I keep it light and LC (my daily goal which I haven't done successfully lately!!) I will be down tomorrow. Usually I work my way down to the 140's again, then party through the weekend, then work it back off during the week. Not ideal, and I'd love to be working this "range" 5 lbs lower, but I'll take it for now. The holidays won't be forever, and Jan looks a bit quieter. If I can get back to "normal" eating and do the week/weekend thing, I may be able to stick the lower numbers. Also plan to up the exercise from walking 3 times a week to more intense exercise. I'm hopeful once our Christmas tree is gone I'll be back to 100%. This constant sinus stuff is getting old!! ![]() That's my update and plan. hope you're all finding what works for you!! ![]() |

Yes, mommy, I do sometimes. I try to stick to just a few times a week though as the artificial sweeteners in them do a big number on me. It flares up my joints and because of that it makes me wonder what *else* it's doing. I know lots of people say they feel no different but since that means inflammation for me I have to think the low-level inflammation can't be good for us on an ongoing basis. Also early in P3 any artificial sweetener made my weight jump a bit. Make sure you don't replace your water with a diet drink, continue to get plenty of water.

Hello all,
I have been ill for the last 3 days, I think I'm on the mend now. Something positive (in my mind) from being sick...when I got on the scale this morning I was just 1lb over my LDW!! I haven't been that close to my LDW in over a month. I had a sugar free protein shake Tuesday and some other items later in the evening and yesterday I ate a bit of meatloaf at supper, I was keeping fluids going but I really just wasn't hungry. Today is the first day I feel like I'm getting better and I've had my coffee with HWC and a hard boiled egg and now I'm snacking on some mixed nuts (the good kinds.) I've also made sure to keep up my vitamins and I'm taking Oil of Oregano to fight off the cold...that stuff is nasty but I think it's really working! So I'm hoping my drop in weight won't bounce back too much or that my body is lacking nutrients because I tried really hard to keep some amounts of good things going into my body even though I had no appetite. I have a question about popcorn, I know we shouldn't eat it but I actually have good results with it, maybe it's the high fibre but I can eat it and not gain... I currently have an air popper but I think my BF is getting me a theatre style oil popper model, it's so cute and round and the dome that converts into the serving bowl....OK maybe I'm way too excited about this but hey...I'm easy to please. Anyway, of course there's things on the internet saying air popped is way better because it's less calories and non of the fat from the oil... but here we love oil right?? certain kinds anyway. Coconut oil was the oil culprit they were saying, I would think that would be great lol so I'm hoping you gals can give me your opinion, air vs. oil??? I've been off the microwave popcorn for years after learning about the chemically stuff they use to 'create' that butter stuff in the bag... I've been happy with the air popper for now but it does make the popcorn kinda sticky almost when you're chewing it. thanks in advance everyone! |

Bitsky, I can't really answer your question, but I know that Simeons said that it's the combination of starches and fats where we get into trouble (I've read P&I a million times, and that always jumps out at me because it seems true with my body.) But I'm really just shooting in the dark on that one.
As for a few years ago when everyone came down on popcorn popped in coconut oil? If you do some googling, you'll find that was bad intel from before we knew how good CO is for you. And possibly propaganda for the canola people, I don't know. I do know that coconut oil is one of the healthiest oils there is. So my uneducated guess is that if you're going to have it popped in oil, use CO! And btw, popcorn is my favorite food in the whole world, and the thing I miss the most! I bought some 100 calorie white cheddar packets to keep me "in control" but they came just as I started another P2. So I've got them stashed away. Oh, I have the cheaper "whirley" style popper, like the theater mechanism, that you use on the stove. It only takes a teeny bit of oil and makes the best popcorn. It's silver, and you grind it while the corn is popping. Don't think I can post a link. About $35.
