interruption

Can someone explain this to me, i wouild like to get started now, but do not want to be on p2 for Christmas, but if i don't start now, i will have put more on by then, i would like to do a 40-45 day plan, or more if i can stand it--- and just interrupt for a day or 2 at christmas, then get back on track for the rest of it----i have done rounds in the past, but never did a interruption

do you still take the drops at interruption, i have heard that you do not need to gorge for the 2 days when you restart

Thanks

Basically, you stop the drops as you would if you were ending your round by stopping the drops and eating VLC for 2 days for homeopathic and 3 days for rx. You then eat P3 for 1-14 days (or at least TRY to keep it to no sugar/no starch rule to minimize gain) then start the drops again, no loading. Here is the appropriate passage from P&I...

Unforeseen Interruptions of Treatment
If an interruption of treatment lasting more than four days is necessary, the patient must increase his diet to at least 800 Calories by adding meat, eggs, cheese, and milk to his diet after the third day, as otherwise he will find himself so hungry and weak that he is unable to go about his usual occupation. If the interval lasts less than two weeks the patient can directly resume doses and the 500-Calorie diet, but if the interruption lasts longer he must again eat normally until he has had his third dose.
When a patient knows beforehand that he will have to travel and be absent for more than four days, it is always better to stop doses three days before he is due to leave so that he can have the three days of strict dieting which are necessary after the last dose at home. This saves him from the almost impossible task of having to arrange the 500 Calorie diet while en route, and he can thus enjoy a much greater dietary freedom from the day of his departure. Interruptions occurring before 20 effective doses have been given are most undesirable, because with less than that number of doses some weight is liable to be regained. After the 20th dose an unavoidable interruption is merely a loss of time.

Thanks Shelby, sounds doable to me----

But what about an interruption of only 2 days? Since he mentions 4 days and up, do you still keep taking the drops for a shorter amount of time?

No, you still stop the drops. I've done a 2-day interruption. The 4 days is referring to the whole time, including the 2 days without drops if you are doing homeopathic and still doing 500 calories to phase off for the interrupt. That means any interruption back in that day would take 4 days, minimum, because in that day and age, everyone was doing shots, which meant 72 hours or 3 days without dosage prior to the one-day interrupt.
