Anybody else weight once a week vs every day?

Hi all--I'm back for a quick "get back in control" round before Christmas to get rid of some 40th birthday, Thanksgiving, eat-and-drink-pretty-much-whatever-you-want weight gain

I am usually pretty obsessive about weighing every day while on HCG but I'm contemplating only weighing once a week for a few reasons--the main one being that I hopefully won't get as discouraged with the 2-3 day stalls we sometimes get and will be able to see the "big picture" at the end of the week.

God knows I have been able to stay off the scale for the past two months (hence why I'm back here! LOL) but I'm hoping I can avoid it until Fridays now that I'm on HCG again

Good luck Nicole!!!! I have been off the scale for a few week's now too. But once I start a round, I have to weigh in daily. I cannot get off that freakin' thing. I should be able to since I don't get on it when NOT on plan--you are so right about that one LOL. I am in the eat whatever you want camp too. I have to get it back to control. Otherwise my next round will have to be longer than I was hoping.

I had re-gained quite a few pounds after my last round (could not stabilize at ALL) that I decided not to weigh myself everyday this round. I feel like for me, it creates to much of emotional roller coaster. I however weighed this morning and am now 7lbs away from goal! I am staying positive that I can accomplish this within the next 30 days!!

I weigh in every Friday and again on Monday to keep some control on the weekends. The daily fluctuations were to much for me mentally. The scale would cause me to be in a bad mood and also eat off plan. So now I'm much happier with Monday Friday. Good luck with your new round.

I think it's just a personal preference and you should try the weekly weigh in. For me, I love to weigh every day because it keeps me encouraged.. I love to see the daily drop, even if it's just a few tenths. I think it keeps me on plan because I really want to see some drop every day and know if I cheat even a little I will blow my weigh in the next day. But that's just me.

Oh don't get me wrong 2bfit--I, too, love seeing the losses every day...in the first week. And then what I don't like is seeing my weight stay the same for 2-3 days in a row even though I haven't changed a thing. And logically I understand that that is just your body's way of "catching up" with the losses and you realistically can't expect to lose EVERY day of the cycle (unless you're a man of course lol).

I just know what it does to my entire day when I feel like I'm depriving myself and I don't have a loss--it can seriously ruin my whole day! Well, not ruin it but it starts it off with me being pi$$ed off and that's never a good way to start the day

So I'm hoping by only weighing on Fridays I will see the overall picture, not get caught up in the day to day, and start my weekend off in a great mood! We'll see how it goes. I had no problem avoiding the scale this morning so that's a good sign. I am also MUCH busier now in the mornings than I was with all my other rounds (I used to homeschool my 3 boys and now 2 of the 3 are going to school so I have to get up at 6:30am and get my oldest out the door by 7:00am). This certainly helped me not to even think about it this morning as I was fumbling around in the dark looking for something warm to put on and trying to brainstorm what the heck I was going to make them for lunch

Nicole I can so relate to the scale and my mood. Silly I know but the scale does have a hold on me. Good luck with you new round and decision about weighing in.

I was thinking the same thing. I was even thinking I would only weigh in when I was done with the round. I'm not sure I could handle that, though! But in my thinking if I'm not going to change the way I'm doing this (if I'm eating the same foods and staying on plan) then why go through the frustration of seeing the scale stay the same. I've had rounds where I STS for 4-5 days in a row!
I'm not starting my round until Jan. but might just weigh in once a week, too. Let us know how it works for you,Nicole!

i am starting P2R5 tomorrow, i am finishing loading today, i was thinking the same about staying off the scale and not weighing in everyday, its to upsetting to me, when the darn thing goes up a few tenths instead of the other way, so i am going to try and stay off and weigh in once or twice a week

Good luck! So far, I have NOT even been close to tempted to weigh every day and it's been SO freeing! I weighed on Friday and I'll weigh again this coming Friday. I guess I figure it's not like I'd do anything different from what I'm already doing so why drive myself crazy? It is what it is and me weighing every day and driving myself crazy won't change if I stall or not (and I cannot do an apple day--tried it once and had such a severe blood sugar crash that I got a migraine that lasted for the rest of the day!). My body NEEDS protein!

i don't think i will be tempted either to weigh in every day--- i don't need that to see progress, i can feel it in my clothes----i am really nervous for tomorrow, day 1---i have got my meats weighed out, and all my fruits and veggies that i need---just need to remember to take the hcg when i am supposed to----until i get into the swing of things again---

I tend to weigh every day for the first week and the 1-2 times a week after that. Too easy to get discouraged by the small fluctuations which can lead to unnecessary tweaking.

When I did my 6 week round, I weighed once at the beginning, once at the 3-week mark, and once at the end. I lost 20 lbs and went from a size 12 to an 8.

So I considered that round very successful without all the crazy stress of daily weighing.
