new to HCG
Hello all. I am new to this forum and started my first loading day yesterday (Thanksgiving). I am feeling like I have to force myself to eat and not feeling really good. Has anyone experienced this? I am doing the 40 day plan and using injections. I am working with a naturopathic doctor. My hope is I will lose 40 lbs but I am afraid I may have set my goal too high. I am feeling depressed that even if I lose 40 I have gained 15 since my last loss on another program. It upsets me that I am just having to lose the weight again and not really going to be much less than I was several months ago. I still will need to lose more than 40 unfortunately. 80 lbs is my goal. I would love to connect with people, offer support, get support and get tips and recipe ideas. Tomorrow I will be starting the 500 calories.

So today is my first day of the VLCD. I took a long nap just to avoid wanting to eat. I couldn't resist the last piece of cheese cake though. I don't know how I am going to do this. I hope it gets easier. I don't think I ate enough on my loading days. I kept seeing the scales go up so I was trying not to do it over. My last meal on the second day of loading was at about 5 pm so by midnight my stomach was growling. When I woke up this morning I could not wait for lunch time. I gulped down 40 oz of water just to really feel full. Leftover stuffing is calling my name now. But I so do not want to fail. Esp with the money I spent on my first round and my husbands expectation. I know work and school and cooking for my family is going to be a challenge. I am trying to plan and have meats weighed out and bagged for convenience, but I am a full time student and several days I eat lunch at school so I have to plan accordingly for that. I work many nights and don't usually take a dinner break but I am going to have to pack it in- that means making more time to cook ahead. Then the nights I am home and weekends I am cooking for 5 kids and my husband. The bacon and blueberry muffins were tough to avoid this morning when I was starving. Anyway- I am so impressed with those of you who have had success bcuz I see how tough it is going to be.

Thanks Raquel. I lost 5.4 lbs after my first VLCD day. I am sure most of it was water! I have been doing teas. I will try fruits in between meals. I usually like to have a big breakfast in the morning and then I have smaller meals through the day so this is a big change. Tomorrow will be my first day back to school and trying to stay focused on classes and hopefully not a growling tummy! Today was easier though. It has been more issues of desire than hunger. I tracked down Shirataki noodles so I am having that now with cabbage, chicken, ginger and garlic with a little bit of non fat broth for dinner. I will save my fruit as a snack in a few hours. I am making my husband fix dinner for the kids!

207.4 today
Emjay29 hello, I understand how hard it is to see all the Yummy food the kids and the husband get to eat. You just have to tell yourself that you have your own special food. And plan plan plan your days, know what you going to eat for that day. Each day you resist you gain self control and will power. Hi Raquel, welcome |

Shirataki/miracle noodles
Raquel- I bought Shirataki noodles today. They are the same as miracle noodles and a third of the price. I bought them at a local asian market. They are pretty good and take on the taste of whatever you have them with. Just be sure to not get the ones made from tofu.

Those noodles are Soo good... I made a yummy dish with the herb and garlic pasta sauce from Walden farms, sauteed shrimp and miracle noodles. So good!

Shirtaki Noodles and weight gain?
Quote:
. I follow P&I religiously! Could the shirataki noodles have done this....or is it just "one of those things" during the diet? I'm on R2P2VLCD17 and this is the first day I've gained. Yesterday was also the first time I had the noodles. I hope it's not the noodles....I packed them again for lunch and I am truly looking forward to them. |

Nope (though beef and tomatos are my absolute favorite). Could it be onions? I doubt if it's my orange...I have had an orange nearly every day and have had steady losses.
Here's my menu from yesterday: B: Green Tea L: Shrimp, asparagus, miracle noodles S: Apple D: Diced chicken and onions S: Orange |

You may need skip the noodles today and see if you lose tomorrow. That looks like perfect p2 day. Any new seasoning or oils yesterday?

No new seasonings or oils. Didn't even use my CO which I normally use every day. I also didn't have any melba toast or grissini.
Yes...perhaps I'll pick the noodles out of my shrimp and asparagus today...Sigh. And I'll up my water intake. I usually have 8 cups/day plus a few cups of hot tea. |

Raquel- what is CO?
One pound can simply be water but I know its disappointing to see. Let us know how you are doing. I hope it Kant the noodles. I had some yesterday for the first time and really like them. I am down two pounds today. Today is day 3 of blvd. That's a total of 7 lbs so far. Im sure that is a lot of water weight. Is anyone using zevia in P2? Pros? Cons? Dos? Don'ts? |

Thanks for the encouragement, Mommy! I plan on doing 23 days. I think my last day will be Sat or Sun, then I'll do 2 days with no HCG before going back into P3. I'll do one more round after the holidays sometime in late Jan and I'll likely order the intermountain drops this time.
Emjay, 7 lbs in 3 days is EXCELLENT! And CO is coconut oil. It's probably geared more toward P3, but I use a little to saute foods sometime. I also use it on my skin for moisturization! |

Zevia is a zero calorie "soda" sweetened w stevia. I'm not a huge fan but I had a few sips of on this morning. I use to be a soda drinker in the morning rather than coffee or twa so i thought i would try it. It sure filled me up with just a few sips. I typically use coconut oil for cooking and skin. It is a great eye make up remover! I was told not even to use that so I haven't been. You had good results with it so far even om p2?

I didn't even think to use it as eye make up remover...thanks! And yes...my losses have been pretty good with CO. I didn't use it the first round, but I've been using it regularly this time. I only use about a teaspoon a few times a week to sauté my chicken or veggies.
Where did you buy the Zevia? I'm so curious! |
