Dude! That's so not fun! Oh well. You probably enjoyed it at the time??? I think you and I may have to try the laser thing with pasta. Every time I think about doing that, it totally cracks me up. Now I am actually thinking about the two of us doing it together...which is even funnier!
Step 1: suck on cottonball.
Step 2: stick slightly damp cotton ball in belly button.
Step 3: hold lasagne noodle in front of belly button.
Step 4: have friend shine laser light into belly button through lasagne noodle for 2 minutes while shooing cats away and trying to hold the light steady while cracking up at the same time...

Ok. Update from me... This week has been crazy crazy busy with work and social stuff so my exercise has been off--one cardio session Tuesday, yoga tonight, hopefully more cardio tomorrow. My Monday tiredness was apparently from skipping my meds Monday morning ( ) but I think I may be burning the candle a wee bit too much on both ends. My usual weekend gain is still hanging around more than I would like but hoping for a couple of pounds off in the next few days to get me back to fighting (weekend) weight. I can still seem to eat enormous amounts of calories and not gain as long as they are primarily fat. I am still sitting in the mid-140's and my pants all still fit so I am ok with where I am right now.

No one is lasering anymore. I thought it was hilarious when it was all the rage a while back. I don't know what to laser because nothing is giving me trouble. Maybe I should maybe laser my mind---it wants what it wants, when it wants LOL. No rhyme or reason, just want the bad foods. All of them nothing specific!

Shelby -- ... That sounds like a total party!! LASER PARTY! A party that only we would have..lolol. I'll just casually hold a bunch of cooked (not raw, right? who wants to eat raw..hehe) gnocchi in front of my stomach. That's not weird. And you know your devious cat is going to see the light and jump at our bare stomachs, right? Can we drink?? It would be amazing if it actually worked despite all of that!

hi... well I stuck the loss from Thursday it but didnt loose today.. got into some salami... and I put too much salt on some chicken. need to stick to my pork roast and eggs. im still 5 out of the window but its better than 10 right? 5 out isnt bad I guess. I will try to do coffe with cream all day and then I dunno what.

I just want to be in the window dang it.Lara

Heading into the weekend

Hello all,

I'm up a few extra lbs from where I'd like to be but I feel confident I can get things back down. I'm actually feeling crappy from all the junk I've been eating so I shouldn't have such a hard time staying away from it this weekend....I hope.
I want to be happy it's Friday but I've been dreading them lately because I seem to lose all control come weekend. I need a new hobby and a couple friends. I did the whole 'detach from everyone' when I hooked up with my bf, now we're a couple years into it and we're done speding every minute together...but I don't have any friends now, or they're busy when I'm not...it's tough.

Happy Friday, peeps! Well, exercise did not happen either last night or this morning. Blame it on pure exhaustion. I may or may not try to get some in tomorrow but I'm not going to beat myself up if I end up taking a week or so off. Good news is that my temps are still up and pretty steady so I know I am managing my adrenals well. I think this is just normal tiredness from a lot of work and play.. (Amy, I know I owe you response re: your labs! ) Haven't lost anything the last few days but as noted I have not exercised except once this week. I'm going to see where I land tomorrow but I'm actually just cruising along content here. I am a little less than 3 above my normal window less than a pound above my weekday window. Keeping it clean, getting some rest and not overdoing the booze this weekend should certainly help.

Hope everyone else's day is low-key and y'all have a fab weekend!

Still here. Still in the window.

A few parents took our college kids out to brunch to this historic beloved pancake restaurant. It wasn't even hard not to order pancakes. (Everyone had pumpkin cranberry ones - they did look awesome.) I just had my omelet and was more than compensated by hearing the mom next to me go into shock that I wanted to lose 10 or 20 pounds (I only met her recently, post weight loss). "But you're tiny!" She didn't even think I had big boobs. That never happens.

Happy sigh.

A quick note - I'm heading to a work-study group and then onto a concert tonight. I will say I'm a bit discouraged. I did 3 DD this week and my weight has not budged. In fact, it's up. I did have 2 nights this week where I did not sleep well, so I resorted to meds the last 2 nights, so some of that could be waterlog from meds. But that certain number on the scale sure is a familiar one. I think I'm stuck. I may do an old-fashioned CD for my next DD, tomorrow.

The last few days I have noticed my skinny jeans getting loose. I hope it's a good sign. I'm just super nervous going into the Thanksgiving weekend holiday, NOT that I intend to over-indulge, but that I will be eating foods that are more carbo-licious while trying to stay as wheat-free as possible for my joints. I may need to lower my JUDDD numbers going forward.

C'Marie, YAY on loose skinny jeans. I hope your sleep improves.

My plan for Thanksgiving, just so I've said it "out loud" is:

Egg white or protein shake breakfast.

A healthy snack mid-day if needed.

Then, at our dinner:

lots of salad, pick out the croutons
turkey w/out the skin
and lots of veggies (our friends make the most delicious veggies you've ever had in your life - thank God)

If I indulge, it will be stuffing OR desert, but not both. I'll assess beforehand which looks more deserving. And only a small serving.

I pledge to gain the bulk of my holiday enjoyment from feeling skinny and having everyone notice. I suppose that's a healthier addiction, no?

Last night we were at a fundraiser - I knew there would be hors d' oeuvres coming at us right and left, and didn't want to be shipwrecked without healthy choices.

So to prepare, I had a broiled salmon fillet before we left at about 5pm (this was the same day as the pancake restaurant for breakfast where I had a veggie omelet instead of pancakes, mind you).

As a result, I wasn't even hungry at the fundraiser. I had one tiny chicken burger (about a tablespoon), without the "toast" it was on and a few slices of raw red peppers. I concentrated on seeing friends I hadn't seen in years. It was so much fun.

My first day of P4 will be thanksgiving... oh boy!
My daughter actually told me I look "slim" today
I only lost about 10 pound in round 1 but I wasnt entirely faithful...lol
BUT its 10 pounds I couldnt have lost before .. thanks for all your help ladies

How are you figuring your P3 and P4? P3 is 21 days, P4 starts right after P3...

i always forget to count the loading days as P1.. Im on the first of three days on the 500 cal no hcg.. Thought that was considered p3.. then several weeks of LC eating no starches or sugars right? P4 is maintenance?

Ah, I see!

P1 - Cleanse phase prior to VLCD (created by Kevin Trudeau--most people skip this--this is NOT the loading days)
P2 - 23-42 days of the very low calorie protocol (this includes your loading days)
P3 - 21 days of no starches no sugars
P4 - at least 21 days of gradually adding back starches and sugars prior to any resumation of the VLC protocol

So you will be starting P3 on Thursday, NOT P4, which means no starches and no sugars on Thanksgiving. Does that sound right?

Hi All, quickie post again. I honestly keep forgetting about this forum now that I don't get notifications. I feel terrible saying that, but I guess it's a testament to the fact that I no longer feel like I'm dieting and it's now just a WOE! I do miss you all though.

Skimmed the posts b/c my son is going to wake up soon and I have to finish a few things first, but wanted to say hi.

Where is this picture of Shelby and Cocoa? Did you guys meet up? Details....

As for me, I've been stuck at the 160 mark for about a week. That's 2lbs OVER top of window which I don't like but given how I've been eating I'm suprirsed the scale hasn't gone up. I've had carbs (not a lot but some) almost every day. I've tried to do some low carb days in attempt to "correct" but haven't been totally clean so they haven't yeilded more than a lb or so. Today so far I'm carb free and hope to keep it that way. I really want to be down at least 5lbs from here by Xmas. If not, I'm considering another round which I DO NOT want to do. We'll see.

Like Julie, I have found that Sugars don't effect me the way starches do. I can get away with some sugar, it's the heavy starchy stuff that kills me.

As always thanks for the support guys. I think I need to make a point to come here more so I can stay accountable and get motivation from you all!

I'm officially in P3 today!!!!!!

LDW was Friday (175.8)...today I am at 176.2...so up +.4, but it may be sodium...I seem tight/swollen. I finished up a 3-day FF...didn't lose...but I didn't gain much like I usually do after P2...so that's success I am feeling pretty good...I don't seem to be as tired, and not getting the 5 o'clock slump!

I am following LC JUDDD. Seems like it may be a good program for me. After the holidays...I am going to re-evaluate and possibly think about losing 10-15 lbs. more. I have been shrinking a lot more lately (even this week w/ maintaining!), and feel like perhaps this saggy skin may have more fat in it still...as long as it gets flatter & squishier...it tucks in really well with Spanx type garments
