I couldn't sleep but about 45 minutes last night again, right before the alarm went off. Sigh. I woke up with a SCREAMING headache. No idea why, unless it's just the general pain thingy rearing its head again. Arm still hurts, searing pain, no idea why - this is getting old or I am! ha ha ha!
Well, despite a bad beginning to my day, I made it through with a good DD, really productive at work, so far at 534 cals. which is 30% of my UD and squarely in the weight-loss mode of DDs. I had a nice treat tonight, I made a cup of that wonderful sugar cookie spice tea, nice and strong, steeped it the whole 6 minutes+, then dumped it in the blender, added one scoop of protein powder, 1/4 cup lowfat coconut milk, and cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and stevia. Tasted pretty darn close to eggnog to me and only 105 calories with 20 grams protein. YUM. Only other thing I ate today was 10 almonds for breakfast (on the run!) and one serving of salmon for lunch. If I don't decide to eat a lil more, with my magnesium and potassium at bedtime, I'm done for the day.

Ok so I managed to get down 3.6 from meaty days but since then nada. It's making me cranky. Still out of the window. At least my lips feel less puffy from the allergic reaction last week. My body is like no no no... we like it right here... but I am saying body, come on work with me here!! I'm ashamed to admit I'm 8-10 ish out of the window. but still its my record at 8 weeks from liw. At least I have that. Ok guys, be good to you today. love yourself. be your best friend. Lara

P3R3D9 & after a correction (steak day) down only -.06
This still puts me +1.6 over ldw. I've never had such a crappy correction day. I had 3 small sirloins because that's what I had in the freezer which were about a total of 11 oz. I baked them with olive oil & garlic & I had 1 raw tomato. Lots of coffee/water & tea yesterday. ![]() Today had 2 whole eggs with a guacamole snack 100 cal snack pac & 6 strawberries + a serving of Greek yogurt. Lunch will be 2 salmon burgers with full fat dressing, Snack - 3 oz of baked ham, Dinner - home made chicken wings with full fat dressing. I'm also going to buy hwc vs hnh since it has more fat and calories. This should bring my total 63% fat/6% carb/31% protein and 107 g & 17g of carbs of protein which is better than the past week. I didn't exercise yesterday either. I really hope tomorrow doesn't put me up any higher since I can't do another correction day. If I keep going up I guess I will try an only protein/high fat day & see. Last edited by pandora174; 11-29-2012 at 05:14 AM.. |

C'Marie--sorry to hear of your pain and sleeplessness. It sure stinks. I agree with Lara, arm pain is most likely back trouble. My DH sees the chiropractor a bit more than he would like. Of course the chiro loves to see him LOL. But it is so worth it. My DH just threw out his lower back yesterday--couldn't even sit to do his work. He adjusted his desk so he stood then entire day. Don't remember if he has ever hurt his lower back before. He is the one always having numb arms/hands. I am the one with the lower back issues. The chiro is not working today, his day off is Thursday, so he will probably will go tomorrow. But he has done the Teeter hangup (our at-home inversion table) twice since arriving home late last night. That thing has been immensely helpful. Anyway, I agree getting old sucks. At least we have things to help us with it though LOL.
lara--I am probably about 8 out of my window too. Well, 8 above LDW. So don't feel so bad. This time of year is tough!! I am just trying to get by best I can. Have a great day!!!

I think tomorrow I'm going to try a protein/high fat day & that sounds yummy. I don't have rib eye but I have ground veal, cubed (sp) steaks & bacon. So tomorrow will be eggs/bacon/steak day with lots of coffee & hwc for me ! |

i do very well with ribeye or even red meat on P3. i always lost .2 pounds or so when eating i in p3. lol
i'm loving JUDDD! yesterday was an 1800 calorie UD- 400 above what i'm supposed to eat and i woke up with a .2 loss. i'm still struggling a little bit with DD in that i want to eat .. and eat. which is funny because i thought that after doing hhcg- it would be very easy. its not! i end up eating almost 800 calories on DD ![]() but its working and im happy about that have a great day everyone! |

A bacon day sounds delicious. But even if it was low sodium bacon I would be worried about the water retention.

to those up or struggling to relose (I'm right there w. you!!) Got up an hour early and STS from yesterday. I'll take it. Had some choc almonds and that's not part of losing this recent gain. But, today's a new day and I'm off to a good start!!We got a new puppy last night, so I'll be offline most of today chasing him. Having company tomorrow so I've got to clean a lot today too! |

Thanks for the kind thoughts. yes, I think it's in my neck too, but it's really weird that it coincides with switching of the types of cane. My chiro is off Thursdays too, and I've had so much to do at work there was no way I could get in there prior to Friday anyway. I will try to get in there tomorrow. Right now, I am putting dmso and magnesium spray on the whole upper arm and the neck, along with running my little infratonic on it. My neck doesn't feel sore, oddly. It's just WEIRD.
In other news, after 2 good DD this week, I'm back to my usual "stuck" weight, and I'm 6 pounds above my lowest, and 3.6 above window. I am strongly considering doing a primal "hack" being talked about on MDA and on the JUDDD forum here with all potatoes, nothing else but spices, vinegar, no fat at all - and I'll pick the variety with the lesser alkyoloids or whatever it is called that raises inflammation. Some people are losing .5 to .75 to 1 pound a day for a short period, say 4-5-7-10 days. It is just an experiment, and cheap eats - I think it might raaarf me up and get the burn going again. I may or may not incorporate JUDDD calories on the DD doing it, depends how hungry I am. And then again I may not do it at all ! LOL |

Hi everyone!
Well my light evening yesterday (1 1/2 chicken thighs and a medium avocado) netted me a 1.6 loss yesterday so back to 146 even this morning and just a pound above my 145 upper limit limit. Still 5.4 above LDW but . I really am shooting more for that 145 mark these days. If I can stay close, I'll be thrilled.I have a wine tasting event tonight and I am truly going to try to do it as a "tasting" as opposed to the "wine DRINKING" occasion that it usually turns into! I may or may not skip dinner or have my remaining chicken thigh if I'm hungry when I get home. I've gotten in 3 good workouts this week and going to try and keep it rolling tomorrow (as mentioned, pending the "tasting" this evening!). Fingers crossed for another good drop but alcohol + me usually = water weight. Good incentive to keep it mostly sober! C'Marie - I've had two neck surgeries so I will echo Dawn's thoughts about the neck thing. My biggest problems and pains aren't actually IN my neck, they are shooting down my arms, numb fingers, and sort of wrapped around my shoulderblade. I would imagine that the new cane is different enough that you are leaning on it differently and pinching the nerves right at the base of your neck which tie into that whole bundle controlling the arm. Ow. The only thing that helps me with stuff like this is ice and aspirin. It doesn't feel good but it really really does help. Heat, as good as it feels, is often detrimental because it increases the inflammation, which in turn increases the pressure on whatever nerve is being pinched. In any case, I hope you feel better! OTOH the potato experiment sounds interesting! ![]() In other news, I wish everyone lived closer. I literally have about 5000 avocados on my tree this year that I am going to have the devil of a time eating! ![]() Guess what? TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! ![]()

Shelby--me too!! I absolutely love avocados!!!!
We have to buy them out here. Do you have the green ones, or the black ones? I thought the black were from FL and the green (low fat ones) were from CA. Am I wrong in thinking that? |

The most typical ones from California are the Haas avocados which are smaller, have dark brown bumpy skin and are the yummy high fat ones. I have an unusual kind of avocado tree--a Fuerte avocado. They have smooth green skin, are about the same size as a Haas, and are usually even higher fat. So I have green CA avocados. And a LOT of them! I seriously picked 50 about 2 weeks ago, they have been getting ripe now for about a week and I now have about 20 in my fridge... Guacamole anyone? I love it but that is one thing that I have a hard time eating without chips... I've been eating about 2 per day. |

I did a mini egg say in P2 and lost 1.6 lbs. I definitely could do 10 to 12 eggs & that would definitely be more filling for me than bacon but not as tasty. I could easily eat 5 to 6 pieces of bacon for breakfast & another 4 or 6 pieces for lunch & then what about dinner For me I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing today. Easy on the fruit, keep an eye on the protein grams & lots of healthy fats & see what happens tomorrow... |
