HCG for Juice Fasting?
I have always wanted to do a prolonged juice fast, for health reasons (i have a chronic headache) but I could never get through one due to hunger, like extreme hunger and cravings...
Anyone ever use HCG during a juice fast/feast to deal with that? Natalie |

Juice Fast / Juicing while on HGC
I just finished my annual HCG "get the holiday vanity weight off" cycle. We saw the movie Fat, Sick, and nearly Dead, as well as the Healthy for a Change and then the forks over knives stuff, so we wanted to start juicing. Well, we did this when I was about to start my HCG.
Again, I just finished, and let me tell you, this was BY FAR the easiest HCG cycle ever... bar none. I did the gorge for the first 3 days where I ate like crap. Then I went straight to the green juice. I still had the gigantic first few days of weight loss to basically get rid of the gorge stuff in my gut. Then after that, I went on to lose 1-2 pounds per day. I ingested nothing but green juice (4 Kale leaves, 1 Cucumber, 2 Apples, 1/2 Lemon, 1" of Ginger). That recipe makes 2 glasses. I drank 1 for breakfast, 1 for lunch, and then made half a batch for a single glass for dinner. A few observations below: My energy level was completely normal, if not better than normal. When I'm typically on HCG, I am sluggish, I can't do any physical activities, and I get dizzy and almost pass out when I stand up. Since I was juicing on HCG, my energy levels were sky high. I could do everything I could before, regardless of the physicality. My mind didn't get sluggish either. Normally my mind feels as weak as my body. Not this time. I never got hungry, and I kept losing pretty much a minimum of 1 pound a day (I lost .8 and .6 at one point during the final week). I usually wake up 2-3 times per night while sleeping to pee... this is off and on HCG. Since Juicing, I don't wake up to pee at all. I don't know why, but I don't. Let me tell you, it's FANTASTIC to sleep through the night. So there you go. I know this is a long first post, but I came here to see if I should juice while on HCG, and the chick who was going to do it never posted again, so I felt compelled to register and post about it seeing I just did it. You can have the juice with and without pulp. I didn't notice any difference in weight loss, although with pulp did seem to make me feel a bit fuller. Also, you won't go to the bathroom quite as much as on the typical protocol. |

I posted this in the rogue section as well;
I decided to try a few days of juicing and maybe blending on my protocol. Im using a juice recipe from the thread juicing on hcg. It is a combo of kale, cucumber, lemon, and apple. I love green juice, tastes great and is super easy to make! If i throw in a smoothie i will use greens, sunwarrior protein powder, and a frozen clementine or stawberries. I always found that i would go off plan the first few days and I am thinking it was because i was still eating - with juicing/blending my appetite drops really fast and I am not tempted to "have another bite" that being said...I am only on vlcd2! I juiced yesterday and feel wonderful today. Had a good workout this morning and weigh in #1 was a -5.3 pound loss! 2/4/13 load 152.3 2/5/13 vlcd1 153.4 2/6/13 vlcd2 148.1 |

Not juicing, but I have used green smoothies. 1 to 2 per day followed by a dinner with protein source, and veggies.
I use a total of 11 cup of greens composed of spinach, kale, romaine lettuce( mixed variety if I have it on hand), ginger, parsley, a bit of celery, lemon juice, an apple, half of a banana, a pear and whatever I feel like throwing in and water. I throw in a pinch or two of Celtic sea salt. This will usually make enough for two days worth. Filling and I love it. Easy to throw in a coffee mug to go cup and go. |

I've been juicing for a few years and have been on a juice fast for the last 23 days. I plan on going for 40 days.
I've only done one round of HCG last summer and plan on doing my second round next month. I too was curious about juicing while on HCG and I'm thinking that I might juice while on HCG for a 26 day round and track my progress on here. I'm getting closer to my goal, but I don't think I'll make it by the time I hit my 40 days, so I'm hoping HCG will put me over the edge. |

very interesting.
i have yet to try this but i might. i have lyme disease and i cant decide if its better to do this, get all the detox and healing (which hasnt reaaly been proven) the nutrients ect, or to avoid sugar like im supposed to, because lyme likes sugar. i cant seem to commit to any diet at the moment. still trying to decide and work up the courage... you people are so strong! |

BigPete, did you use a juicer or just something like a magic bullet? I have been trying to decide if I should try this or not and am definitely interested now!
Thanks ~juli |

Im so sorry to hear about your Lyme! My daughter suffers from that as well. I know how awful it can be! She too has sugar cravings. We went to a phenomenal doctor who put her on a wonderful protocol but getting a 16 year old to follow a health plan is near impossible so she still has symptoms. When her symptoms get bad she stops all sugar, caffeine, dairy, etc... and usually feels better in a few days. I hate that she goes through this! I hope you have success with treating it!!
As far as Big Pete goes...he only posted one time - I wish he would post more often! I am doing a juice fast right now - i love the way I feel on them! I juice lots of greens to keep it low carb. I feel super, great energy, and a clear head. I have not had the negative symptoms you hear about yet - so i am hoping i dont get them at all |

Could you recommend something to try? I was thinking a cored apple , a stick of celery and some raw spinach. No idea how that would taste though... any input for spices or sweetener? Or just those ingredients. So appreciate your help, I am a juicing "virgin", lol.. Blessings, ~juli |

Most people who choose juicing choose to use a juicer instead of a blender. One will give you a smoothy, the other juice. Rationale? With juice, you are fitting WAY more nutrients in per glass.
Recipes. I don't have any, but from lots of experience, pack in a lot of your favorite greens. For instance, I love spinach, but don't care for arugula. Pick what you like best from among green veggies, cucumbers, etc, and then, (this is for weight loss and HCG), add ginger, lemon, and one apple, or just a small amount of fruit until you can enjoy it. I have not tried putting stevia into juice yet; however, in the past, I added way too much fruit, and I have to work on it this time around. Most of my past juicing was for health, not weight loss. Lastly, google the movie, and the website, as well as great tasting green juice recipes. |

Question: what does the P3 look like?
I started juicing last year, stopped eating meat, needed to lose some weight and began a round of hcg, vegetarian (actually eggs since I am trying to do strict) I was initially going to do green smoothies but I could not take the texture and never thought to juice since I was told "I need the fiber" I have juiced a few days and released a load of weight the next day, and was NOT hungry in the least, so I might finish out my last few days juicing. My last dosing day is likely Mon the 15th...so I wonder to all you juicers, what are you doing for P3...and for the vegetarians, same question since I am not eating meat any longer ![]()

Many people agree that P3 is the most important phase. I did not juice for P3. I want my body to reset at a point HIGH in calories. As high as possible. I LOAD on the fat, but I follow P3 STRICTLY. I do lots of salads piled with protein, cheeses, bleu cheese dressing, olives, and a bunch of other proteins and fats. Juicing for me, if I do it during P3, would be an add on.
