Oh and about the sugar alcohol, I am going to avoid it or eat those candies VERY sparingly. I couldn't understand what was wrong with me that I was in the bathroom like 6 times a day... I thought maybe it was a mild case of food poisoning. Now I know better. That stuff tears up my system. Such a shame b/c they are good. I even found Reeces Peanut Butter Cups that are sugar free, but same thing, Malitol. Grrr.

![]() All right. Day off today. On the way to San Diego with my BFFs to paint the town red! Work stress is yesterday and will be Monday but I'm not going to worry about it this weekend. Boy stress--well, once you cut the boy off, presto! No more boy stress! Birthday stress--well, not much you can do about that except have lots of good wine with lots of good friends... Down to 142.7 today (-1.3) after a high fat, high calorie day yesterday. Despite having yoga last night, I was down so pretty pleased with that. I also have been incorporating situps and pushups (I covet mini's arms!) so I suspect some of the 144s I was seeing this week were due to muscle soreness/water retention. I also worked out every day this week, twice yesterday. So...um...go me? Everyone have a fab day and a great weekend and like Julie says, be on guard! xoxox

I love them too, but they sure don't love me!! Moderation is a good idea!! I just realzied I should be in P4. Tuesday was *supposed* to be the end of P3. I guess I lost track in Mexico? Oh well. Still out of window, regardless of what phase I'm in. So, I'll keep plugging away. ![]()

I am just at my upper limit today. So I am not doing a CD, will do one tomorrow if I need it. Hopefully not, but who knows??? I have decided to just stick it out on P3 for now. I am enjoying eating again!!! And if I do JUDDD, I can start at any time to control my weight. Seems easier than straight P2. I plan on doing JUDDD through the holidays and hope to maintain my weight here. Then if need be, I will do another round in January! That will give me time to get through the stressful times of the holidays without trying to stick to P2 for 21 straight days. Then I can lose more if I decide I want/need to. Ah, we shall see how that goes LOL. I normally panic about this stuff. Not this time......

Well, guys. It happened. After barely leaving LIW for a week and half, I'm over my window by... are you ready for it... .1. Probably TOM coming (I have other signs), but I haven't been hungry all day anyway, so I've been drinking water, and since it sounds kinda good anyway, I'm planning on having a steak for dinner.
So here's my question. How big of a steak? I like them well done (don't yell at me), so I had the guy slice a rib eye (I think it's a a rib eye - when you eat well done steak you don't really care) into two thinner slices. I'm thinking of putting it in the broiler. But now that it's technically two steaks (it was ginormous to begin with - I want to say over a pound), do I eat them both? And I like this butter idea. Where does the butter go? Thanks in advance.

Well, at the risk of TMI, by the time dinner came around, the bathroom fairy visited yet again, this time making quite a scene, and for all I know, the steak day wasn't even necessary. But I ate almost the whole steak, and I'm quite certain I ate too much.
This will be my last steak day, no matter what happens. It just didn't feel healthy. Plus I'm fairly sure I could've just gone back to keeping my eating in the hunger zone and everything would've sorted itself out regardless. Stay tuned. And I'm still curious how what size steak is considered "huge." |

Buttah-well, sorry to reply late, but by "huge" most really mean "huge". I've had 12-16oz steaks in the past. I'll be you're down to LDW or even below today.
I'll bet it's TOM retention. You're doing great!I'm still up today. But, it was 5:30am when I weighed, and I too had a really bad bathroom morning . Not sure what brought that on, maybe too much fat? I did a really high fat VLCarb day again yesterday, and am really surprised I'm not down today. ![]() I'm going back to "normal" P3 for me today. No BP coffee (the CO could be an issue. I've gained on it in the past and was really hoping it would work for me. Only 1TBS a day. Jessh! Can't a girl get the benefits of CO?). Had regular coffee/cream, and some GY w. a few blueberries. I have some leftover P2 food I need to eat. So, I think I'll probably have leftover P2 chili for lunch? We'll see. I don't feel like it eating anything just yet. Hope you're all out having fun and being skinny!! ![]() |

Julie--so sorry you are up today. I am most sure that it is the early weigh in time. If you normally weigh in later, then weighing in any time earlier will be effected. It happens to me every weekend. I kind of hate that I have to weigh in so early on the weekdays, but not for much longer. I put in my notice on Friday that I will be leaving. So either 1 or 2 weeks!!! My manager usually only schedules for one of the 2 weeks you give notice for. So while I am planning for Nov 9th to be my last day, I am prepared to not be scheduled at all that week
Cannot wait... sleeping in, exercising once again, cooking homemade foods. Oh boy!!! I am going to so enjoy being a SAHM yet again. Anyhow, I weighed in today and was a bit surprised to be down on the scale I ate brownie batter and 1 mini brownie and was down I am thinking it is the later weigh in time. I normally weigh in at 4:45AM, today it was 7:30AM. Really makes a difference! But anyway, I knew that the 2 day effect is real so I was prepared today and did an egg day. I had eggs for b/l/d. What can I say??!! I love eggs Better than doing a CD tomorrow when I won't be home. Going shopping at our new Whole Foods. I am so excited we finally got one What a shame that it is so far away though--at least a 30 min drive if not a 45 min drive. I will be anxious to see what the scale says tomorrow. Hoping to not need another CD anytime soon!Have a great Saturday night y'all!!!! Oh, and on the steak size--it is relative. If you are hungry then a big one will do. If you are not, then a smaller one will be fine. I find at least a 1 lb steak and cook it. Then I eat. When I am not hungry anymore I stop eating. Whatever is left over I give to either my kids or DH. Mostly though it is just a bite or 2. I am amazed that at my size (barely 5'4" and 122 lbs) I can put away a whole pound of steak in a sitting. But when I have eaten nothing all day.....look out cause mama is hungry ![]() ![]() ![]() They all know to not bother me on a steak day, I get pretty testy on those ![]() |

Thanks Dawn!! You're doing great!! A few added carbs and you're down? I'd call that encouraging!!
Buttah-well, how'd the Steak CD go? You can't just tease us like this!! Hope you're below LDW and able to enjoy your weekend!!Hope the rest of you maintainers are doing well. come by and update us I am down a tad today. Still out of my window, but at least liking the downward trend. I had more carbs yesterday than I had all week and am just going to whittle this back down. I feel good, look fine, and all my "skinny" clothes (mostly jeans) fit well. So, I'm not gonna' freak out. I will, however, try a GYCD on Monday if I'm not back down tomorrow. I do love it so, have a lot in the fridge I should probably eat up. Maybe it'll help get me closer to LDW. I doubt it, as this "gain" is no longer "recent". But, I may still give it a whirl. I dropped the CO and new thyroid med I was trying and will give it another day of "normal" eating. It is the weekend, afterall . Have a Happy Sunday all!! We have church, early as dd(12) is now practicing to sing with the youth band , then I'm making her do another volleyball open gym (try outs for club ball are Thurs. night and I want her to be ready!). The weather here has been just lovely. We did the Botanical Gardens and pumpkin patch again yesterday, just to enjoy this lovely weather!! ). |

The steak day (or the bathroom "event" or both) put me just above LDW, and that's where I am again today. LDW was 152.7 and I typically hover around 153 - 153.3. I don't see myself suddenly going below LDW, but maybe after TOM. And I'm enjoying my weekend just fine! (Had a very early outing yesterday - DS's school function - where I didn't know what food would be available when hunger struck, so I brought along one of the chocolate/pb quest bars just in case. I didn't love it. I guess I'll have to try another flavor? I really need to find an acceptable and yummy protein bar that's P3/no carb friendly as a protein drink.
Julie - good luck to your daughter! Dawn - weighing later is always lower for me, too. Usually the lowest is AFTER coffee and bathroom. And congrats!!!! I am pretty much a WAHM, and I'd kill to lose the W. But that's not happening any time soon. I have one in college and one a soph in HS. Speaking of the bathroom, I was hoping I'd return to "regular" in P3, and so far I haven't. (In fact this probably led me to a steak day I didn't really need to do.) Still "dependent" on Natural Calm, and sometimes when that kicks in, it kicks in too hard. Will my bathroom regularity (always a non-issue) return? And when? Hi guys!
I am just flying by to say hello. Good job maintaining, Buttah! Once I started JUDDDing I never did a true steak day either - although one of my DD I did do a full-on egg day - but when I did steak day in the past, it was at least 12 ounces, sometimes more, with an apple or maybe not. I don't usually eat tomatoes (irritant to arthritis). I think once you get past P3 and maybe into P4 and do whatever it is that you plan to do, eventually those bathroom issues may resolve. Our bodies need a lot more magnesium than most of us even get, so I think staying on some kind of it, like the natural calm, is not a bad thing. I get jerky muscle twitches when I don't have enough. @Julie, Dawn, Shelby, Lara, Reddy, everyone- HI!!!!

Buttah-glad you're back down!
Marie-how's maintenance going for you? No one else around today? Been a full fun day. I'm sure I'm not down - had some froyo. And BBQ for lunch. Did my best to avoid the sauce. But, what can you do? I'm planning to try a GYCD tomorrow. Haven't done one in ages and have lots of GY to use up. So, I'm thinking I'll do that tomorrow. Unless I'm miraculously down to LDW area (which I know isn't gonna' happen). Anyway. Doing fine. Ok w. this #, but would like to be back below (or even at) 145. |

@Julie, I'm doing ok. BBQ sounds great!
Maintenance seems to be ok. I weighed a few days ago, I really only weigh once or twice a week now. I've been pretty much just light P3 plus maybe a bite of popcorn or a teensy bit of sugar. Honestly. I feel so cr@ppy when I eat any other way, healthy whole grains my b^tt. Stress is getting to me some. The sleep disturbances have started again and I have terrible muscle aches-not sure from what. I tried to get off of the medications I was taking but once sleep starts getting bad I cave. Last night I couldn't sleep until 6:30 am. I tripled up on the magnesium and potassium today to try to get rid of the muscle aches. But life is too short to complain all the time and it doesn't do any good anyways! ha ha ha! I can wear my jeans and I'm doing the best I can. And I'm not in the path of any major storms at this point in time, and eventually the stressors will give up - I will simply outlast them! Hear that, debil!? Better run! I'm not the giving up type! OMG.
So I guess it was a full moon or maybe did something to manifest this guy in my life but let's just say that I am actually happy to be at work today.
I had the chef over for dinner Saturday night. Everything went well, but as the evening progressed he drank a little too much and then he started saying things to me. Like.... I love you. This was our 3rd time seeing each other, thats not good, I mean I can understand a guy laying his heart out but not after me saying lets take it slow.... blah blah. Ok so I will give you that one. My last bf said that to me too and it was a complete disaster. Then... I'm addicted to you... I'm hooked on you.... then he didnt want to leave. I had to talk to him for half an hour to get him to go. then later the phone calls and texts started. ugh. so I was at liw. at least I thought I was cause I weighed at my moms house and it said i was but this am im 3.6 up. I ate tacos beer and a baked potato yesterday. I cant do a cd today I'm too stressed. Nice legs Buttah! I have sworn off dating until at least the end of the year. I dont want to see anyone for a while. I feel icky. ![]()

Although usually it's them disappearing...and me scratching my head! This week I am vowing to NOT text or call the last guy who was making me crazy. Too busy, a little to close to his last relationship, not ready, blah blah blah. Seriously? Figure it out BEFORE ya hurt someone next time! Moving on...Nope. Fine legs! ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, I've had a fabulous weekend in San Diego with all my BFFs. We took a stress-free train ride down. Location of our hotel was perfect--we walked everywhere easily, including from the train. Had a fun evening on Friday. Chilled out day Saturday, with everyone doing their own thing. WONDERFUL dinner Saturday night with some premium wines at a great place where we could people-watch. More drinks at another. Yes, I drank too much. Yes, I overate a couple of times (past hunger--probably around a 7.5 or 8). Yes, I even ate some carbs, including wheat, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and mac n cheese. But here's the thing. I haven't done any of those things in a really long time. I enjoyed myself immensely and know that it was a blip in an otherwise long stretch of great diet and exercise practices. And I'm not trying to be the Buddha--either in the physical OR the spiritual sense! The only regret that I have is that it would have been a perfect opportunity to dress up for Halloween but I thought of that just a little too late. We were already picking people up and I had left my costume at home. Oh well. i guess I just need to stay skinny enough to pull it off next year! I had enough chicken thighs pre-made to do a healthy cd today. I am going to follow that up with a high-fat day tomorrow and maybe weigh Wednesday to see where I'm at. I feel actually pretty good and my rings, which are the clearest indicator of what my body is doing, are sliding around so I don't think to much damage was done. All in all, starting out my 46th year lookin' good and feelin' good! Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday! |

No. Just no computer time. It happens. My egg day did not net me a loss. But that happens. I have a great scale day the day after my egg day. Nope! Wasn't down....again. Tried eating light yesterday (actually could be called a steak day since I had 2 hamburgers, no bun...1 at lunch and 1 at dinner) and still not down. But I weighed in at 4:45AM today
so doing a Greek yogurt day today. I have a bunch to use up too!! Good thing my container from Sept is still good and we were "blessed" with strawberries yesterday. So all is good. But I am frustrated that I am eating well, not off plan, and gaining. Right after I decided to stay in P3 Oh, well. That is how it goes. I am OK with it all. Just like Julie I am still fitting in my jeans and looking fine Just that darned scale ![]() ![]() Buttah--I am still taking my Natural Calm as well. I cannot get away from it right now. But if you are still having issues maybe a probiotic will help? I needed those once my first round was done. I had the opposite issues after that round Takes some time for your system to sort itself out. I am not sure how long, but just know that it is normal and ok to need some help for now. Oh, and it is a good thing I am going to stay home soon---Ky, my youngest, is home sick today. He had some asthma issues this weekend and is not well enough for school. Then my eldest had to miss a few classes this morning, he has a nasty cold. I think it will be like this all winter long Hope everyone is well enough to go back to school tomorrow. |

)But yes, it will sort itself out if you just do clean eating days. HOw has your hunger been in P3? I'm not very hungry at all these days. Same thing happened last round after about 3 weeks my hunger was so minimal. I have moments late at night where I want to graze but nothing crazy. Um, if you want to get things moving in the bathroom try some of those SF chocolates just don't go over board! They have me going plenty! Quote:

About swearing off dating.... Last time I did that, I met my Now husband. I kid you not. I swore I would not go on another date and that I was on a "hiatus" and suddenly he came into my life. It always happens when you least expect it and when you're not looking! ![]() Quote:

But we gotta live right? Isn't it nice when the rings are big. I couldn' wear my rings for over a year and now they are big!!! Bummer about the costume. What was it? Do you have any other halloween thing to wear it to? As for me, sorry I've been MIA. Busy weekend. I was at LDW Friday and Sat morning but then after my drinking binge Sat night and eating some carbs for dinner, I was up sunday. Then last night we went out to dinner and I suspect that pushed me over the edge. But I'm not concerend. I'm sure I"ll be back down in window in the morning! Haven't been very hungry lately either which is nice. I am dreading breaking out hte halloween candy for the trick or treaters (we don't get many so we always have leftover) because it means I'll eat it. And we're going ot try and take the Little one Trick or Treating even though he's only 14 months. He is walking very well now and I think it will be cute to go with our friends and their kids. Dawn, I thought I quoted one of your posts but now I'm not seeing it. Hmmm... Congrats again on becoming a SAHM. That's so awesome and I am sure you won't regret it! Glad you're doing well and sticking with P3 for now!!! KIU! Ok that's all from me for now! ![]() |

@Reddy, yes, I'm trying to keep things in perspective. I attempted to do a DD today, but it went up a bit beyond that at least to high maintenance levels. I woke up with a killer headache and next to no sleep again. Saturday night couldn't sleep until 6:30 am, and last night until 5:00 am. This is really.getting.old. It makes me cranky, depressed, anxious, screws up all my hunger cues and hormones (OR maybe my hormones are causing it!?) and sets me up for a horrible day. I actually was crying on the way to work at noon when I finally made it in - and I'm a really upbeat person normally!!! I think the anti-anxiety meds supposedly to help me sleep are causing me to be depressed. Is that possible?
I finally felt "decent" at 5 pm!!! WTH. So I'm sitting tonight eating turkey bacon and eggs and sleepytime tea for dinner and really will try not to get to emotionally or mentally involved in anything and am really going to try to get SLEEPY early. Otherwise, sometime later this week I will have to do the complete opposite and stay up once all night long and stay up all day and flip this sucker around. I'm new and want to say hello to everyone on this thread. Ive finished my first P2 on hCG and will start P3 either Wednesday or Thursday. I'm a little confused. I will eventually learn the lingo, but finished drops Sunday. I'm extremely nervous about P3 because I want to maintain what I've accomplished. This plan is amazing!!! Thank you to everyone for your encouraging posts and information. It's already keeping me motivated

Hello, Shrinking! Love your name
Did you do Rx, shots or sublingual, or did you do homeopathic pellets or drops? or something different? How many days did you do, and how much did you lose? |

Thanks C'Marie!
I did homeopathic drops for 60 days and lost 43lbs. Was only planning to lose 40 as directed but I lost in clumps,LOL! I would lose nothing for 7-10 days then 6-8 lbs is gone just like that. It really balanced out to 5lbs/week. I guess everyone does lose differently. I joined this forum for some support, and maybe I can encourage others too! I'm pretty new, so still learning. I'm not getting any support where I live because the people I know who have heard about this plan are misinformed and narrowminded, so I'm not telling anyone how I'm doing this!! My plan is to be on P3, P4 for next 7 weeks which will include an all inclusive vacation at the end, then use the last 2 days of my holiday for loading! I hope my plan works! I was hoping someone could tell me where I can find the calculation others have used for amount of calories I need once I'm done on vlcd. I have 2 days to figure this out! Today was first day of no drops and I'm not starving. Trying to remember to drink a ton of water. I'm loving this adventure |
