Back in Window 1 lb over LDW. Not bad considering I ate 2 bagels this weekend as well as some bread pudding!

Will behave again today. Would LOVE to get below lDW. Haven't had that much this time.

Tackled closet last night and purged a bunch and set aside a ton of maternity and xl clothing. Still not done but it was a good start!

Hi all... I'm down 3.6 from my coffee bacon day.. yay!!!eating small amounts of high protein until dinner and then its lasagna time. I'm excited!!!!

This guy sounds like a keeper he actually wants me to go to the grocery store food shopping after work! OMG!!!!love it!!

Oooh!! A keeper? Wow!! That's a rare find these days!! Congrats on that drop and enjoy tonight!! A chef? My dh can barely warm up pizza!

Reddy- that's great!! You're doing so well, and incorporating carbs back in too!! I'm sure it feels great to be tackling your clothes! I did it a few months ago and although not fun at the time, was really part of the journey. Letting go of the past and choosing only clothing that fit well and I couldn't hide in. I made the Bacon Cheeseburger quiche yesterday too. (I had several packs of frozen grass fed beef I wanted to cook up-clearing out the freezer!). It was delicious!! I added a bit more bacon than it called for, but Yummo!! I'm happy to have multiple high fat, LC options on hand. I shy away from many of LS's recipes b.c they're really high in cals and fat, but I'm trying to up the fat while I whittle back down to LDW and these fit the bill quite nicely, and yummily .

Shleby-sweter? Is it cooler there this week? I'm sure you look smokin'!! Glad you had a great celebration!! I'm sure the scale will settle down when you go back to "normal".

Marie- Glad you're back and hope work isn't too crazy for you today.

I'm getting closer to window. Down 1.8 to 146.4 today. I guess I'm happy with that. Softball was rough last night. We got beaten handily, which is never as much fun as winning . But, the weather has FINALLY cooled off here, and it was a beautiful night! Thankful for small things .

Every morning I nervously get on the scale, and every morning... there's my LDW again. I keep thinking "well, naturally, yesterday won't show up until tomorrow,or the next day" and then tomorrow and the next day come, and there it is again: LDW.

It's truly a miracle.

Yesterday I realized I could once again eat my beloved Trader Joe's roasted seaweed snacks (sound terrible, but so yummy and salty - people either hate them or are addicted to them). Between that and the SF chocolate syrup or almonds... BLISS.

If anyone's interested, every day I have 5-6 servings of "fat," which includes things like a tsp of butter, tablespoons of olive oil, mayo, peanut butter, 16 pistachios, 20 peanuts, 6 almonds, tablespoon of cashews (I don't count or measure any of this, but that's what my clinic's sheet says), 2 tbsp of salad dressing, 1/8 avocado, 1 slice bacon (and I suppose one package of seaweed snacks, maybe 2).

I'm also eating about double the protein of P2 and, a few eggs, 2% GY (they said be careful of dairy, so I have it about every other day so far) and ocassional SF chocolate syrup on strawberries. I usually have only one fruit per day, just to be safe. But not always.

Eating out has been fine, too. I order grilled fish and veggies, sometimes omelets. Once had to pick the chicken out of a pasta dish (or the shrimp out of a stew with potatoes) at a party. No biggie.

Could. Not. Be. Happier.

Great job! LDW rocks!! So glad it's going well!! You sound so well controlled which is great!! WTG!! Even picking things out of dishes-which we all know is hard to do!! Do you have a guess as to where your total calories are coming in each day? I know you're following their recommendations and listening to hunger, but I'm just curious. Thx!

A man who can cook is so attractive. I dated a guy ONCE who was great in the kitchen BUT he was vegetarian. Still he made some amazing stuff! My husband has always been the guy who burns ketchup lol... but over the past year he has taken on the grill and is a master at it. Cooks burgers and steak etc to perfection. Glad he can do SOMETHING for me food wise! (FINALLY)

Down 1.8 already? That's great! Esp after softball! Keep it up! Sorry you lost the games, but you can't win em all right? lol.

Yay for cooler weather. It's SORT of cooling off here. And by that I mean that it's in the low 80's. lol. In the mornings it will be around 75 which is perfect but by the afternoon it's sweaty hot again. At least it's not 90.

When I was cleaning out my closet I realized I have a ton of cool weather options, really cute sweaters and scarves and long sleeve shirts. I would LOVE a chance to wear them. I usually only get ot wear them when I go to Cali for Xmas. I am going to the Outlet Malls this weekend and hope to find some cute things that aren't all wintery.What I need most right now are some nice tops (short sleeve and sleeveless) I never understand why they only carry winter clothing in the stores in FL. I'll never have a use for a down jacket here, why is that even on the rack lol.

So happy for you! You are doing so great! You are eating what you want, you are maintaining, that's how it should be! I love how we can eat out in P3. I don't count calories or pay too much attention to portions in P3. I just eat low carb and it seems to be fine.

Yesterday I did a mostly meat day but I did have a few SF Choc Covered Almonds and some Snap Peas, I had a block of Chocolate, yet I still did ok. I have found I can have SOME carbs now and still maintain and it's awesome.

I'd love to lose some more but to be honest, I am afraid to loose more and have nothing fit. I just want my belly and waste to shrink, not my arms or legs. Time to start doing targeted exercise.

Ok time to work is really the deal... Have a great day!

Hi Jules! I haven't kept track every day, but when I have to the best of my ability, I've come in around 1100-1600 high quality calories, with lower days in the beginning and higher days more recently. It's only the beginning of my second week of P3. It's been explained to me that my hunger WILL increase gradually to where I need more food, and when that happens (and only then), I will eat more. I think had Simeons spent more time studying stabilization, he would have come around to promoting gradual increases in food/fat intake after a round. I just try really really hard to never be full. I'm content, and I'm thrilled to feel that way.

It's a mindset, though. I have to be vigilant to keep it. I hope I can.

And note: my BMR basic calories come in at 1328.05 before adding activity. But still, I'm going by hunger not some pre-ordained number that doesn't know my body or how hungry I am.

For full disclosure, there is one other thing I'm doing. My clinic gives me a weekly "b12/lipotropic" injection which supposedly helps burn fat and speed metabolism. HOWEVER, I'm not sure it really does much, if anything: I've been getting it since I started HCG, and clearly my HCG losses were not spectacular to say the least. Here's hoping at least my stabilization will be.

I'm horribly over my LDW. Just bad eating habits getting the best of me (eating because of stress), I won't go into anymore detail than that...
What is the coffee/bacon day? It's sounds obvious but I would just like to see the daily meals listed out. Or do you just drink coffee and water all day and then some bacon, or can you eat bacon all day long??? lol sounds nice.

So after torturing myself with steak days that worked (sometimes they didnt and I only had 1 lb loss) but were really hard.... and having no sucess with chicken thigh, egg, or yogurt days I tried
a bacon coffee day... one pack of bacon, coffee with cream and I always have a nice drop the next day, it keeps me full too. I even have had a rum and diet coke on these days. always works.
you can eat it all day. didnt really drink water but I had 32 oz of coffee with half and half splenda

I have been under so much stress. I am also eating late at night. Not anything bad, at all, just late! I know that's a factor in how much my body stores vs burns. I do ok all day long, but at night I get hungry, like really hungry. I think it has something to do with my circadian cycle still being OFF big time. I am trying to wake up earlier and earlier and take my supplements earlier but when I wake up and am in pain it is so nice just to lay in bed and baby myself. Thus perpetuating the cycle! UGH. My jeans are getting tight.

Buttah, your P3 sounds like my first 2. Never went up, never did any correction days, just nice and solid all 6 weeks 1st time and all 8 weeks 2nd time. Rock on, girl! Awesome! I'm so glad for you!

Hi everyone! Super quick fly-by today! I am crazy bsy at work but had a nice date last night AND to top it off, despite drinking wine and eating some carbs (one small piece of bread. some couscous, and some baklava), I was only up 0.2 today. Now, I'm still just over two pounds OVER my window but I'm ok with that. Tonight the celebration continues with Mexican food. Lucky me, I am going to a place where I know I can eat low carb (chili verde, salad on the side) and going with a person who really isn't in the mood to drink much, if at all. I need a little break from drinking! Have a fab day everyone!

Okay okay guys

I'm doing pretty alright. Ate way too much on Friday-Sunday so am coming back down this week, but haven't weighed or anything. I think I was a bit hormonal or something -- I suddenly had a constant desire to consume everything!! I didn't technically eat anything non-P3 but I still was eating a lot. I have no idea what was going on there, sheesh! Did a bulletproof coffee day yesterday and am keeping it clean and low-carb/high fat today. We shall see what I do tomorrow..perhaps a bacon coffee day? I'll probably weigh Thursday but I may get curious tomorrow, lol.

I also was hit with an allergy rash all over my body this weekend so it wasn't the best, but it's going away now, which makes me happy! Note to self: Next time you think you can get lazy because it's 10pm and not wash the new bedsheets before sleeping on them...just freaking wash them!

Anywho, I'm feeling a little more normal today. Stomach seems a bit sensitive, but nothing bad. I'm actually wearing some jeans that used to be a teensy bit tight earlier in the year but now they're a little big..so yay for that!

Well, finally coming in here to report on my Greek yogurt day. I love that CD. First you get to eat. And second, you get to eat berries!! I love Greek yogurt and I love berries!! And then to top it off, I lost 1.6 lbs!!! How awesome is that !!?? My stats are to the left. In my window. Not quite like the bacon/coffee day, but as long as I am in the window I am OK. Whew!! I worked long enough today to get a break so I had my lunch for breakfast, my breakfast for lunch and will have a light supper. Hoping that no cheese and no nuts today as well as keeping it light will keep those pesky pounds off! Well, another long day at work tomorrow so I won't be able to post til late again. Have a fantastic evening and Wednesday!!!!!!!!!

Good news is I won the lasagna cook off last night and my prize is that the looser would be my slave forever! lol I like this guy a lot.he was a perfect gentleman and asked me to do something this saturday.

But my mind is like whoa nelly get it under control now before its too far out of reach and then youre making excuses to throw in the towel. I will not throw in the towel. This is the best I have ever maintained... I'm week 2 of P4.I still feel the urge to get back to my last days weight on p2.

So here's the challenge for me, the holidays are coming. Maybe a good idea to try to get under liw or loose during p4 so that I have wiggle room and feel better. I could try counting calories with a combo of low carb high fat.... I could do steak days... so I guess im asking....
Whats the best way to loose in p4?

First, I'm so glad you're able to maintain w. a normal menu including some carbs! I hope to be able to the same! ITA about the winter clothing! I'm in AZ, where we rarely see "cold" but our stores are filled w. turtle necks, sweaters and down! I do actually own a down coat. But we like to hike and travel to colder & wooded climates. We can drive to the snow (and do) in 2 hours, so once a year we take the kids sledding. . Enjoy that shopping!! And I also get the wanting to stay the same so your clothes will fit!! Me too!!

Thanks! Sounds wonderful! It's good you expect your hunger to increase and will feed it when it happens. There are some who really never regain a huge appetite. As you listen to your body you'll make the right choice at the right time I'm sure. The bolded part is key! I think that calorie range is just a suggestion. I'm not shooting for a # either, but am keeping loose track for records. I'm not sure those shots are really helping you much, but thanks for the disclosure . Like you said you took them t/o your round and the weight wasn't flying off of you. Your patience and determination is admirable and inspiring. I suspect you're doing well because you're vigilant, careful, mindful. This is how successful maintainers live their lives. It can get difficult over time, but you will do great!

You're not giving up, which is key. Take it a day at a time. CD, P3, CD, P3 repeat. You'll get back down.

Only 1lb after lasagna? Sounds like a success to me. Sat. will be fun too!! So sweet young, new, love . Enjoy this time!! The weight? You're pretty low overall. I know we all want to keep losing, and it's never "enough" but enjoy your life a bit too. Maybe try cycling to lose? I've read it's quite successful for many (like JUDDD).

I'm back to the top of my window I'm at 145.2 today. Whew! I've done really low carb the past few days, and seems to be working. Of course, I'd like a bit more wiggle room, but also would like a bit more food! I'm not super hungry, but miss my apple . I've had 1200-1400cals and around80% fat the past 2 days. I'm doing the BP coffee, added CO to it and that really helps keep me satiated until lunch .

And, Costco is now selling Horizon Organic Heavy Cream Just wanted to share .

Buttah-so would you say, from your experience, that those "fat burning shots" are not worth it? What's the theory behind them? Sorry, but I'm considering them, and not quite sure it's worth it? TIA!

Bitsky sorry to see you struggling. The good news is that you can always get back to where you need to by staying on track and being focussed. Stress eating is always a killer. That was me this past weekend. Hang in there!

Sorry to see you are stressed too. Try and make time for your meals even if you have to set an alarm! And i'm sure in a few days you'll be back down and the jeans will fit better. Tight jeans are the worst!

Ugh sorry about the rash. That's awful. I had one in P2 and it was the worst. Are you using anything to get it under control? (I would have done the same thing at 10pm btw)

Congrats on the Loss! That's really awesome! You are doing great. At first I know you were hating on P3 but it sounds like you have it under control! Keep it up!

Yay for finding a good new guy. A cook and a gentleman too? Score! And if you're only up a litttle from Lasagna, I'd say you're ahead. Holidays are definnitely going to be a challenge for many of us but we'll get through it. Don't throw in the towel lady. Don't! I too want to get to or below LDW and that' hasn't been happeing but I'm trying not to stress.

Congrats Julie on getting back into the window! That was fast. Very happy for you! Seems you too are doing great with this P3. Keep it up lady!

As for me, I'm about .6 over window this morning but I earned it yesterday with some bread and rice. I know I should avoid both of those things even in P4, but I've been feeling down and my attitude kind of sucks and I'm doing the "A screw it" thing which is what ALWAYS gets me into trouble. Having a hard time staying focussed. BUt the truth is, I'm not unhappy with my weight right now so it's ok if I'm a little up so long as I keep it in check. Today I'm trying to be clean and hopefully tomorrow I'll be down again.

Don't feel well today either. Massive headache and wooziness. Hope after lunch it goes away.

All I know is that WITH the injections, my HCG losses were not huge. At all. From 169.5 pre-loading to 152.7 LIW in 45 days. With the shots. Who knows, maybe other factors limited my losses - like my dosing and hunger issues (although in the beginning, while that was going on, my losses were good). And I DID come to HCG mid-diet, as in I had been losing steadily for months. I didn't start HCG "out of the blue" from bad eating habits, etc.

And then again, so far my stabilization has been wonderful. I keep worrying I'm jinxing it by saying that, but it's true.

But... I do feel energized by the shots. One day during protocol I mentioned to Robin W. that I was feeling (and seeing) a nice flush in my cheeks. I felt "revved up." Lara - I am having really good luck this time ramping up exercise a bit (30 mins treadclimber, 20 pushups, 125 situps, daily) and doing super high fat if I overdo it or I'm over my window.

Hi everyone! The crazy work days continue as we wrap up one of the last parts of our project. Frustrating, rewarding, satisfying. Hard to tell which end is up! This morning I was down just a little (0.4? 0.5?) but I had heavier food than I normally eat and later plus one little drink. I'll give a shoutout to C'Marie and her fabulous "low carb margarita." A shot of tequila over ice, two limes, a packet of lemonade Crystal Lite, a glass of club soda, and voila! Low carb drink! Nice to have with Mexican food! Weirdly, I DO seem to not lose much or gain if I eat roasted/stewed pork. Chicken and mousse tonight after a nice salmon salad today. The sweet and spicy salmon is really good over lettuce. Hoping to see a nice drop! Good NSV today. Wearing the "goal" sweater (and yes, it's cooled down dramatically to fall-like temps here!)--the really unforgiving one--and it looks great! Also wearing what can really only be described as "stripper boots"--over-the-knee, grey suede, 1 inch platform, 6 inch heel. Whoo! Hopefully I don't break my neck in these (or my ankle!)!

Sweet & Spicy Salmon
4 6oz deboned salmon filets
1 small can pineapple chunks or one small can pineapple juice
1 large lemon
4T brown sugar sub (I like Just Like Sugar Brown--inulin derivative)
1-2T hot chili powder
1t cumin
1/2t salt

Remove zest from lemon with a grater and set aside. Cut lemon in half and squeeze juice into a bowl or a large plastic bag. Combine salmon filets, pineapple/pineapple juice, and lemon juice in a large plastic bag and refrigerate at least one hour or overnight. Pre-heat over to 400. Line a baking dish with foil and spray with pan spray. Take fish out of marinade and discard. Lay salmon filets on pan (skin down if they have skin). Combine lemon zest, chili powder, cumin and salt and mix well. Add brown sugar sub last and immediately pat evenly on top of fish filets, creating a "crust". (If you add the sugar sub and let it sit, the topping will stick together and will be difficult to pat on top of the fish.) Bake for 12-14 minutes or slightly longer depending on how done you like your fish.

Julie -- Work is still stressful, sadly. Going through a weird period. Hoping things will smooth out soon! And yes I think I still might be retaining or something..I peeked at the scale this morning and am still 5 lbs from my norm! After a bp coffee day and a low carb day? Sigh.

Reddy -- I actually am trying the bacon coffee day today, hehe. So far it's going okay. we shall see what happens in the morning. I like experiments though. Thanks Lara!!

I am a bit above where I was yesterday, but still in the window. I am so happy!!!! But yet, want to be AT LDW, not just barely out of my LDW. KWIM??!! That is why I am thinking I might try the bacon/coffee day.

I just printed out a resignation letter to my work. Like a fast food place needs a letter LOL. But I am going to go back to being a stay at home mom. My DH wants me to stay home because it is quite hectic in the mornings. Just when he needs me most I am already at work LOL. We have 4 children and this year they are in 4 different schools. That means different start times and different ways to get to the schools. My DH is under a huge, whopping amount of stress at work and this just compounds it. It has contributed to his health and it really is best if I just stay at home. Kind of scary because I don't know if we can pull it off, but we will try! We have done it before. I only started working at Chick Fil A a year ago. Oh, well I am just rambling now.

Lara---I have heard of people doing their P4 like this....try a new P4 type food (like sweet potato, banana) one day, do a P3 day the next, then do another P4 type food, then a P3 day and so on. That way you can determine how different foods react in your body/diet. Doing the clean P3 days in between should help get any gains off.

I think with the bacon/coffee day, the high fat is why it works. I am thinking of doing a few days of high fat one day in the near future. Just have to work out my menu. The bacon/coffee day is easiest. No thinking involved. Just bacon!! I like that!!! Once I quit my job, I am going to get back to working out daily. I cannot wait to work my muscles once again. It should be fun!!

Cocoa, good luck with the BCD! I hope it works for you. I may try that next time I am up a bit. Hoping to be down tomorrow but if not maybe even tomorrow.

Today I have eaten pretty cleanly but I'm craving something sweet right now and I don't have anything on hand that is Plan Friendly. I should go buy something but I'm lazy. How sad is that. I'm just tired b/c I rode 8 miles tonight and I haven't been feeling well.

Dawn, congrats to you on going back to being a SAHM. That's awesome. And it sounds like it's the best choice given your situation. I'm sure the kids will appreciate it and so will your hubby!

I am a WAHM and it's very challenging but I appreciate being home with him!

Going to have some almond butter and then maybe soak in the tub.

Jeans are better today must've been "bloat" LOL.... I still haven't weighed. I did Monday/Wednesday maintenance-calorie down days and Tuesday's UD wasn't really all that UP either. We will see how the weekend goes. I put protein powder in my coffee today for breakfast and it held me a long time. I'm thinking of incorporating shakes into my lower-calorie days and see where that lands me.

Those shots sound interesting. I wonder if anyone does them in my area. What would I put into a google search to find out? I could use some more "pep" that's for sure.

Hi guys!! Really curious to see how your bacon coffee days go! I'm doing one today... I seem to be doing the bouncy bounce recently and excercise of all things is what started it in the beginning....

When i do the bacon I put it in the oven at 375 10 mins each side... on a foil lined and slightly sprayed with pam.... I like to get it crispy the crunch is very satisfying. And... I like to bother people at work while I munch on it to get them back for eating cheetos every day, lol

I need to get closer to liw then I will start trying a sweet potato, sounds really good. with butter salt and pepper... mmm

Yesterday I had the mind fuzz I wonder if it was from the lasagna on sunday..
and I had some candida rash too. thats hot... I havent been drinking enough water either.

So tonight I have a match mixer to go to. I've been looking forward to it for like three weeks now. I really would just have a bf but me and the new guy havent had that conversation just yet and I have no idea if hes still looking... we met online on a dating site and I took my profile pic down and he said he would delete his but his pic is still there so... I dont want to count my chickens just yet. I dont think hes the kind of guy that is trolling but you just never know... but heres the deal, when I try to make guys my friends they fall in love with me, when I show them how much I like them it never seems to work out. so i will play mysterious for now. and make him work for it. On the other hand...he's already my lasagna slave for life, I just just make him my bf. lol.

Lara glad you're doing well. I remember dating and it's never fun. You don't want to pour your heart out but you don't want to play so aloof that they don't know you like them. Such a fine balancing act! Go to the mixer! Until you know for sure- you should keep options open. Have fun! (sorry about rash)

I'm back in window today 1.4 over LDW. Going to behave tody bc I'm sure there will be some weekend temptations. Dinner party on Sat for one.

on the rash! Enjoy the mixer. Never hurts to keep your options open. As my financial prof always said "you want to BE a diversified portfolio, and you want to INVEST in a diversified portfolio". Have mulitple interests, and choose a guy w. multiple interests. Keeps you balanced . I think this part is the fun part. The "discovery" phase where they *could* be anyone and anything (super sweet, generous, thoughtful, funny, romantic). Enjoy!

ITA about SAHM. I had to quit my job last year to stay home to teach my girls. But, to be honest, I'm so glad I did!! They're only "little" this one time. I know financially we'd be better off w. me working, but we'd also be spending more $ in eating out (junk food!) and gas, etc. The stress and loss of quality time isn't worth it, for me, right now. Dh makes enough for us to get by, if we're wise in our spending and shopping. W. me home full time I can use more coupons, plan meals better, and keep on top of clothes etc. better. So far, so good, for us. I hope it all works out for you too. I think it will. It'll be a relief for you all, and you'll love being with your kids and dh more. And dh's stress level will go down, which you'll all benefit from .

Bummer on the scale. Stress won't help that either! Hope the bacon/coffee day went well. I'm toying w. one myself, but suspect I'll bump back up once I eat the next day. I'm learning that CDs of any kind don't really stick for me. Slow and steady LC seems to be more effective. We'll see . Not where I want to be, yet. Planning/hoping to get there soon!

Hi everyone! The crazy work days continue as we wrap up one of the last parts of our project. Frustrating, rewarding, satisfying. Hard to tell which end is up! This morning I was down just a little (0.4? 0.5?) but I had heavier food than I normally eat and later plus one little drink. I'll give a shoutout to C'Marie and her fabulous "low carb margarita." A shot of tequila over ice, two limes, a packet of lemonade Crystal Lite, a glass of club soda, and voila! Low carb drink! Nice to have with Mexican food! Weirdly, I DO seem to not lose much or gain if I eat roasted/stewed pork. Chicken and mousse tonight after a nice salmon salad today. The sweet and spicy salmon is really good over lettuce. I'll be you rocked those boots!! Love the margarita idea. Adding that to my arsenal! Glad the project is coming together. Been a long time in the works and it's stressful yet rewarding at the end. Hope the implemenation goes smoothly! Pork? I haven't paid any attention to that for me. I haven't had it much though.

As for me, I'm about .6 over window this morning but I earned it yesterday with some bread and rice. How're you feeling today? Glad you're back down this morning. I hear ya' on the "not unhappy" camp. I want to be unhappy as I'm at 145.6 this morning, but I'm just not! I want to be 143 or 144, but it's not that big a deal, or distance from where I seem to be settling. Gotta' refind the zeal to be smaller.

Thanks! I'm so happy you're stabilizing well!! I didn't get the shots afterall. I read some reviews on the Dr. giving them, and they were mostly 1 star, and sketchy. So, I'm skipping that. But, I like the *idea* of them. Hope your "glow" comes back .

I'm up a tad today, and think the SF van breve latte I had last night, may NOT have been SF. Ever see a "barista" who just looks overwhelmed and not on top of it? I had my doubts about her, and there is really nothing else off about yesterday's menu, I don't think. It's only a skotch, but I was low on cals and carbs yesterday, and was hoping/expecting to be down today, not up. . I know the scale doesn't really, truly reflect the previous day's eating, but I've been VLC for the past 3-4 days, and was hoping the losing trend would continue. Oh well. Gonna' keep it clean and homemade again today. Got some leftover P2 meals I defrosted and will give them a whirl today. P2 chili and chicken lettuce wraps. I need to go get some lettuce though!
