O/T- thanks for listening. =(

<--- HappyChick is so unbelievably not happy today....can't stop crying...

The vet visit ended with having to put the sweetest baby kitty, my Albert, to sleep. He tested positive for FIV (feline aids) and advanced stage liver cancer. The respiratory thing, the loss of appetite and weight, anemia- all manifestations of stage 3 FIV. He was the sweetest, smartest cat.. Doc said he was probably close to 10 years old, which I find astounding! He was so young at heart and acted like a kitten.

I have to say- I didn't even realize how attached I was to him until today. I've been lovin' this little guy for 3 months. So sad. Needless to say, I'm a wreck, stomach is in knots and not hungry. Not even a little bit.

I hope I did the right thing for him.. for the sake of him not suffering. For the sake of my other furbabies.

This is not the outcome I expected, at all. I thought he'd get some antibiotics for his cold, get his shots, get a clean bill of health and that I would be introducing him into the household. Poor baby- he would have never survived the winter, even with the heated cat house outside.

Sorry for blabbering.. I'm a mess.

(I've been nursing one of my rescue kitties.. he'd been doing so well until yesterday. When he first appeared on my deck back in July- he was nearly dead. Skin and bones, full of worms and fleas, severely dehydrated. Such a sweet cat- I mean, gentle and smart, talkative. I could tell he wasn't feeling good yesterday- barely ate and I had to really coerce him to drink some water. He stayed in the little cat condo I built for him but was gone this morning. I was so upset but so happy to see him come tramping up the steps about an hour ago..lol. He ate a little but seems like he has himself a doozy of an upper respiratory infection. To the vet at 8:30 tomorrow morning... much to my hubby's dismay. He knows it's gonna be a $$$$. I can't help it- I love cats and cannot stand to see any suffer. If he would let me- I would be *that* cat lady.)

Thanks, Dawn.

My husband just forced me to take a xanax. I guess a little sleep will be a welcome relief from this breaking heart. trying to take solace in the fact that I gave him love and comfort for his last days.

I'm struggling with so many mixed emotions. This is definitely the down side to loving animals.

Time for a nap, I think.

Need opinions please ! We're going to Disney's Wine & Food Festival 10/26, 10/27, 10/28. I can and likely will change my mind so I need to have plan - A and plan - B so I don't go crazy & cheat. Either (A) I take the drops and eat relatively protocol (just likely larger portions) to account for the walking & 1 glass of wine a day or (B) I stop the drops (PI) and eat P3 for those 3 days and have a max of 2 drinks (wine or vodka) and then come home and back to P2 and protocol.

Right now I'm leaning toward B. I already have my mind set on a 30 day to more longer round. I just want my weight stabilized during the holidays. But one part of me wants to tough it out but another part is whining about not being able to relax during vacation and enjoy herself a little.

I would choose B as well. Why torture yourself? As long as you have completed 21 days of P2 you are good to go!

That's the way I'm leaning I'll have been 26 days on P2 by then so a 3 day P3 shouldn't cause too much damage I'm hoping as long as I keep strict P3 & no carbs or sugars. When should I stop the drops before the PI. I do the hHCG ? Thanks !

I almost feel like this PI will give me a 2nd wind toward the end of this round.

You stop the drops 48 hours before you want to start P3. You do just as you would if you were ending the round. Stop the drops, wait your 48 hours while still eating P2, and then do your P3 eating.

Hi ya'~

Just checking in before heading to church. I'm heading in to my 1st day of P3 break. Finally broke a 7 day stall...down -.4 today. I usually bounce up 1-2 lbs. while on P3. I do plan to eat some high fat/low carb protein mainly.

I have my broken tooth extracted tomorrow...so far I've only had minimal pain...more like a continuous dull ache. Soft food for a day or two.

The boards seem quiet the last few days...everyone must be super busy. Hope everyone is doing well.

Stay strong!!! Keep on truckin'!!!!!

vlcd7 & -.06 to 147.8 ! Yesterday went with my family to watch Frankenweenie & broke down & had a large diet Coke. It was that or dive face first into my son's popcorn & hot dog So not too bad and I drank lots of water after. But at least it wasn't a major cheat.

First week of P2 is over ! It's always the hardest for me. So down 10 lbs & 2.8 from LDW. Now my goal is to get to 142. Will treat myself to some new clothes before we go to Disney on 10/26 when I hope to be a size "small" . Did get a newhair style a short bob. I'm always doing rewards for myself to get through dieting.

Hey Everyone!

I loaded yesterday and today, and will start the VLCs tomorrow. I tried starting up a new round in the beginning of September, but decided that life was way too stressful. All I wanted to do was eat comfort food. But now, more than three year after my husband lost his job, he finally got a full-time job! He starts tomorrow! And I just got a part-time job that starts in a few weeks. I will be working while my daughter is in school, so it will be perfect. So now that our financial stress will be coming to an end (finally!), I feel like I can do another round before my job starts.

So here I am. Back to hcg! I'm hoping to really get into that happy weight loss mode again!

I've read this thread for the week, and I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law, Berta. My FIL passed away three years ago. It's a difficult thing. Also, sorry to hear about your dog, Manders (but glad it wasn't as bad as you were thinking), and sorry about your kitten, HappyChick.

I hope this week goes well for everyone and that each day will allow a little more healing.

good morning ladies! sorry i was MIA all weekend. i felt pretty crappy with the cold and the last couple days of TOM but i'm still here and weighing in at 147.6 had a bit of a slipup on saturday with a bowl of dreamfields pasta but i didnt weigh yesterday and am down 1.2 since saturday morning, so it didnt seem to hurt me too bad. i was feeling very 'bleh' all weekend. not hungry at all and had to force myself to eat yesterday. i managed an apple, 3 oz chicken, a pickle quarter and lots of fluids. im still averaging about .6 lb a day which is great, but my head isnt in this so im going to fat fast today to see if i can snap out of it and get back on track. if i lose today i will go for a couple days and then transition to p3. last round i transitoned with a fat fast and i did really well in p3, so fingers crossed. i only have a few days left and i dont want to blow it!

Checking in - As I suspected I would, cheated Sat & Sun night and up 5 lbs. I was 162 Sat morn and 167 today. I do this everytime I get comfy. Monday morning and back on the wagon.

HC - So sorry for your loss! I have a cat too and if I lost him I would be beside myself. Sending prayers and hugs your way.

Sorry for lack of personals...got the Monday blues.

Morning Ladies ! vlcd8 & the same weigth as last night 147.8. I started looking at what I ate last night & I think I'm going to give tomatos a little break or at least not have them every day or every other day. Let's see how the week goes scale wise. But I am "feeling" skinnier & I feel my belly flater if that makes sense.

Happy Releases !

Hey all,

Today is the first VLCD. Started the morning off with some strawberries and a little coffee. Can't drink too much coffee because the caffeine makes me shaky and hungry! Can't have that!

Planning on having chicken for lunch with a salad of romaine and WF ranch dressing.

This drives me insane & it happens to me "all the time" when I load or go off plan. For ex. last Sunday when I loaded I ate whatever I wanted & drank as well but did I have to go 6 lbs ?? My co worker on the other hand does P2 very rogue and cheats all the time. So this past weekend she took a break, had Mexican food, drank alcohol, had cheese etc & gained .5 over the entire weekend. She also skips her carbs but has nuts every day and picks at her kids food and loses .5 almost every day.

If I would of done that I would of gained 4 to 5 lbs. Same thing end of August we went 5 days to Orlando and I ate what I wanted (not too crazy) and with all walking I still managed to gain 5.5 lbs. Yes it came right off with
P2 but some people I guess are built different. Okay didn't mean to take over your post but I get so frustrated sometimes that I can never just have a cheat meal & not pay for it dearly.

Barbara - You're too sweet and not taking over my post. I totally agree how frustrating it is when some ppl cheat and only gain 1/2 lb. I was protocol both days until evening. Sat night was a wedding and drank a bunch and Sunday I had too much protein and veggies (basically dbl). I am very puffy this morning and feel at least a pound, if not two, will come off by tomorrow. Just hate it when I do that! Thanks for chiming in and making me feel better

I am kinda mad at myself, I drank Thurs, Fri and Sat night and of course I didnt lose anything all weekend I guess booze doesnt do me any favors.

I am not going to drink this whole week and weekend and hopefully I will see some good loses. I have also noticed the last couple days since I havent eaten my fruit that I am not as hungry as I was before, so thinking maybe I am going to leave it out the next few days and see how things go!
