Ugh.. I messed up yesterday. So mad at myself..but, fortunately- the damage wasn't too bad.

Gained 2.2 on loading days and did manage to end up at -.20 from start weight. Not good considering that's D3 of vlcd. Except- D3 wasn't a low cal day.. I went out to watch the Eagles game with a bunch of family and friends. I did so well for the first half- had a burger patty w/ salad. All good. Then decided to have a drink- so dumb!! Alcohol has always had a tendency to make me hungry. Did I resist the wings that were left over at the table.. NO! Did I get into the celery, carrots and blue cheese.. Yes! And, did I eat that damned chocolate chip cookie.. you betcha. Ugh- and then I proceeded to have TWO more vodka/soda/cran w/ lime. I just want to kick myself in the ass today. Talk about derailing.. Damn it!!

OK- back to protocol today. At worst, I've set myself back a few days. I really hate that I lost control and wasted my days (and drops!). Geeze- is it too early for a CD? Super clean today or steak day. =(

I'm going to go back and catch up on the weekend posts.. I hope everyone did better than I did this w/e..

No cd's in P2--cd's are for P3 only. Just get back to protocol and you'll be fine. Just settl in for a few days and get the weight back off. If the scale makes you crazy you might want to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to weigh and psyche yourself up for just getting back to even. Good luck!

HappyChick - Oh how I will miss my margaritas. I feel your pain. Drinkies are always my downfall. Like Shelby said, just get back on the wagon. I'm sure you will be telling me that soon enough

Shelby - I wanna be you when I grow up! Omg, just read your stats! I am 170 and my DREAM WEIGHT is 140!! I actually had a goal this year to be 140 when I turn 40. That is fantastic. Congratulations!! So lucky to have you hear to support us!

I am one lb BELOW my 2nd goal weight today
SO now if I can loose fifteen more by then end of my next 21 days I will be at that fifty lb loss mark.I am am stoked today.

I can not understand why I loose after a cheat? Maybe the fat fast thing Angela spoke here about makes sense. BUT I haven't actually done a fat fast.I have just been going a bit rouge. Like last nights church supper of pancakes and sausage? BUT it's working for me I guess it may be true YMMV!!If it isn't broken... don't fix it right

So my ticker has been changed to my 3rd goal of 230. Didn't think I'd ever get to the 2nd one of 240.But today was the day!!

I trust everyone will have a great loss today too! Later.... chick - a - dees back to the sewing room

YAY!!!! Berta So thrilled to hear that you met a goal. Seems like it takes us forever, but then before you know it...you're at your next one.

I STS today, but I figured it would be close...I've had good losses for the last week, and yesterday was 2 lbs. alone...plus TOM came yesterday, and will be gone by tonight...that always stalls me a bit

I weigh in at TOPS tonight...I should have a 4-5 lb. loss this week. My goal weight has been submitted, so as soon as I get there...18 lbs. to go...I will officially become what is called a KOPs (Keeping Off Pounds...instead of TOPs...taking off pounds), then I can be 7 lbs. below goal, or up to 4 lbs. above goal. It gives you some nice leeway...I am in need of getting some high amounts of protein, including protein shakes, back in me soon, along with a regular vitamin regimen. I see 175 as my goal in my head, but then I look at all the "stuff" that is on my hangy stomach, thighs, and my rear-end, and I think I still need a ton more to go. I'm gonna schedule a plastic surgery consultation here in TX to get an idea (another opinion) as to how much I approximately have in excess skin. I was told previously...35+ lbs., but I think I have more now due to weight gain/weight loss again. I'm guessing the total body lift will net me 15-20 lbs. loss afterward. I also need to have some lipo done on my outer thighs to help break up the large chunk of fat deposits. When I asked about it last time, he wanted to lipo first, then thigh lift later. He stated that once he broke it up into smaller chunks, the body would (could finally!) work at getting rid of it...makes sense when you think about it. The breast augmentation, batwings, and the underarm modification will have to wait until next round.

I'm hoping you have a great remainder of your round. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

No more pancakes

Morning Ladies! I'm going to start posting on this thread regularly I've been mainly over on the Labor Day thread with others that started then Today starts week 4 of vlcd's for me and I've had a tough first 3 weeks. Not tough really, just a few hiccups shall we say. Definitely my own fault and definitely need to buckle down and not allow these situations to happen while Im in full blown weight loss mode. DD gets married in 4.5 weeks so would LOVE to see another 15 pounds out the door. We shall see. Today's plan is to stick to super lean protein (shrimp and cod) and rev up my water and most importantly, stop burning the midnight oil. I go to bed early but watch tv too late and then start making lists in my head of 'things to do' before the big day. Weddings at my house so beyond the regular wedding stuff I have a 'have to have the house perfect' attitude to accompany my mother of the bride stress

I STS again today after a perfect protocol day. But I'm still optimistic another 1 lb drop is coming up, as has been my pattern after a bunch of these.

I also suspicious that my baked apples of late, while perfectly protocol, have a higher glycemic index (due to cooking) that may not be a good thing on HCG. And then there's the fact that I nuked them instead of using the real oven (who has time for that when you're hungry for a snack?). Simeons didn't have microwaves, and we know it changes the molecular make-up of foods. So no more of those, and we'll see.

Walkingwoman, it's fabulous that you're doing this now. Big events coming up, even when filled with joy, can cause stress eating. So, virtually ANY losses you achieve now are so much better than going the other way. And I would be out-of-my-mind stressed with the event in my own home. I too have that "perfect" gene. Hats off to you.

No more pancakes Actually they weren't even very good. I got sick in the night and got rid of all of it anyway

I have been concerned about my facial skin hanging down like a turkey neck, and my stomach being flabby. But there is no way I can afford any sort of surgery. So I am going to stop losing just as soon as I get to the point I feel and look good. I am old and just want to look normal.Don't care a thing about looking good in a swim suit, as I no longer wear them
I JUST KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO WIN THAT 50.00 DOLLARS YET!!!! KEEPTRUCKIN

We all have bumps in the road. But when we just keep truckin on they smooth out.... usually. Persistance pays off! This is a wonderful plan. The first one I have EVER stayed with this long. It amazes me
I wish you the best and I am looking forward to getting to know you a bit better.Keep posting.

manders - did you ever retry the spinach chips? I'm out of spinach or I would be making some more.

temeka - you are doing great!

berta - you are doing so well hitting your second goal. I still need to finalize my goals. I wanted to create a little reward system for myself with mini goals.

julie - sounds like you're really doing well and this may be your last round. That's great that you're still dropping after adding the hnh. I've noticed that I had larger drops when I was using the HWC in my coffee but then I figured that was probably just the loading weight?

crazyprekteacher - good that your new bottle is working for you. That list about clean fats is interesting. It makes me want to experiment but I'm hesitant. I would love to have lipo one of these days but I'm scared of anything like that. I saw something about a noninvasive lipo method somewhere that was intriguing.

viola - I'm not a fan of black coffee either. I've started adding vanilla creme stevia and it makes it much more tolerable. I'm still missing my HWC in there though I hope your test goes well. I've never had to drink the barium stuff but when DH had to he said it was awful. He was practically gagging on it and I told him I couldn't believe it was that bad and that he just needed to down it as quickly as possible to get it over with!

buttah - you actually make that apple sound good. I had a lot of apples my first week but have switched to oranges now which I like better.

reddy - I know you're upset with yourself for overindulging but you can take it back off. It must have been wonderful to get the compliments about being skinny

happychick - I think most of us go off course somewhere along the way but you can get back on track and drop those pounds.

sas - good luck

I was down 1.5 lbs yesterday which is much better than STS which I've had several days already so I'm happy with that. I haven't weighed yet today. I was hungry before bed last night and ate a spoonful of cottage cheese which was more protein than I was supposed to have yesterday. I'm hoping it didn't cause any damage.

We are now on a staycation. Tomorrow is DH's bday so I'm not sure what we'll do. I know that he wants to go out at some point this week to an "all-you-can-eat-buffet with crab legs" which will be really hard to resist! I'm not a big seafood fan but I love crab legs. I can easily pass on the butter b/c I like them just fine without. I can't see paying for going there unless I can enjoy it though. His mother also wants to fix his favorite meal. She'll probably do that tomorrow and I dread it. It will probably be beef with egg noodles, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob. While that would be wonderful, right now it would probably completely derail me. Plus, she'll bake him a cake which the upside there is that I can easily pass on that. The dilemma is that if I go she'll be offended if I don't eat and if I don't go she'll be offended that I didn't come??? She's one of these ladies that love pushing food on you and then keeps pushing you to eat seconds, thirds, ... I just can't do that right now.

Sorry for the ramble

Happy Monday

Good Morning everyone.

Today is my first 500 cal day. We had a big party on Saturday and went out on Friday so I am starting my first day at 114. Goodness I remember when I would have paid big money to weigh that and now I am stressed a little about it. What the heck I did pay big money and never weighed that little before hcg!! Anyway I am excited to start and get down to 108 again and maybe do a little reshaping and even get to 105 before the holidays start.

Have a good day!!!!

Berta I am beyond thrilled for you! That is so awesome! You've done so well this round! Keep doing what you are doing. Well, not exactly (those cheats COULD catch up to you) but sometimes the extra calories can get the scale moving and they did! KUTGW!!!

Sounds like you've got a good plan. STS seems to be par after a good drop like you had yesterday! Keep going! I too would like a breast augmentation. I want a lift and reduction but I am going to wait until I'm done having children for that!!! I'd also like to have my tiger stripes lasered off my tummy!!!

You are due for that 1lb drop and I know it's coming. I do think that you may want to try and stop the apples for a day to see if it makes any difference. Or try eating them in a different form? I think Apples are fairly high in sugar to begin with and have a higher spot on the GI anyway. I found Grapefruit to be great for me. Usually down some after I have grapefruit!

I'm sure that Cottage Cheese won't have any adverse affect. Sometimes hunger indicates that we need a bit more protein!

I LOVE Crab Legs. I could destroy like 3lbs of those suckers. Probably more. And they are pretty low in calories (although high in salt) and I don't eat them with Butter so I consider them a decent low carb option. Obviously not ideal in P2 (although Crab is on my list) but still... Enjoy the Staycation. As for MIL, can you explain to her why you can't have those things and politely ask that she not push that stuff on you? Or maybe you should just stay home and make an excuse that you're not feeling well?

Good luck on your first VLCD! I'm sure you'll get to your goal if you follow the plan!!

First-I'm an Eagles fan too!! Bummer game though . Second-choc. chip cookies KILL me!! They're my cryptonite, so I sympathize!! Third-it's early in your round. Take it as a mini load day and get back to P2.

Riss-enjoy your staycation!! Love those!! Although in P2 that would be really rough!! Enjoy celebrating. I'd eat before you go to MIL's and then just ask to take some home as leftovers for tomorrow . Good luck-those types of social situations make P2 really hard!

WW-you're back on plan and doing great!! You can do it!!

Berta- on hitting that goal! WTG!! And after cheating? Wow!!

Sas and Mary- to P2!! Good luck!!

Reddy-how's the scale today? Are you down some? I bet you are.

Shelby-Thanks!!

Angela-I so wish I could swing P/S. You've come so fat though. I'm sure you'll love it. I've heard mixed reviews on lipo and fat moving around afterwards. Look into it . You're also doing great!!

I'm up 0.2, or STS today, depending on which reading you choose. I'm fine w. it. Lost well the past week. I'll be stalled here a few days after walking this morning and I'll be in the heat at softball for 2 hours tonight, which always stalls me . Oh well. It's fun and good for me.

Have a great week ladies!! This is my week 3 (whew!) and I would love to get lower in the 140's. Even stalling is beneficial making stabilizing easier.

I want to be around 140 too! I am 170. I have used coco oil before in my coffee, mainly for an appetite supressant and it works great. Also, helps you if you suffer with constipation. Welcome to the group!

Well, I'm restarting. Again. I ended up having the flu really badly and was sick all weekend. It got so bad that I was drinking pedialyte to keep myself hydrated. I'm sure my weight is all messed up. I'm doing a reload day today and getting back into it tomorrow.

I'm so sick of gaining and losing the same 10 pounds. I can't believe how difficult it's been to get below 177. What the heck? Even when I'm 100% perfect, it's like I hit 177 and the next day I'm back up. My body does not want to go below there! WHAT IS GOING ONNNNN!!!??

Mandy - Are you walking or doing the 30 min of light exercise? That is something I did not do in previous rounds, but am doing this time. Maybe that would give you a boost. Sometimes I don't weigh because it affects my mood too much. Either way, you will break your stall!! Hope you are feeling better!

Thank you for starting a new thread!!

My apple day worked!!! Down to a new low this round I have dropped quite a bit. And thank God I have. I was no liking apples by my second one yesterday. I could barely choke down 4 apples--we are allowed 6 on an apple day. I normally get in 5. Oh well. Whatever it worked I will wait til tomorrow to see if there is rebound weight, but just know I am excited!!! I can soo feel it in my clothes too. So I must have dropped inches too.

I'm pretty active during the day. I go up and down 2 flights of stairs at least 8-10 times a day at work and then I'm always running around, getting up out of my chair, lifting heavy things, sweeping, mopping etc etc

I think a huge part of it is mental. I've NEVER been this small in my entire adult life, so I don't feel that desperate urge to get to my ultimate goal like I did before. The last time I was 177lbs, I was 13.

I was actually REALLY in focus last week and I lost 10 pounds in 7 days, but then I got REALLY sick and that threw me off. And I don't mean sniffles sick. I mean like sleeping beside the toilet sick. I was totally in the groove though before. Guess I need to recapture that. It also doesn't help that I keep hearing people telling me "oh, you don't need to lose anymore" and it gets into my head and then I don't feel so bad about not trying so hard. I mentioned to one of my clients that I wanted to lose another 37 and she said NO WAY! Maybe 10 more and that's it. And I'm like

I notice some of the girls in here only weigh themselves once a week. I think this is something I need to try. If I STS or go up even an ounce, it makes me really upset and then I end up sabotaging myself. Maybe I will make Friday mornings my weigh day once a week.

Berta - AWESOME!! WAY TO GO!! You motivate me to reach my goal!

Mandy - Wow...you are moving a lot! I hear ya on being sick. I got Montezuma's Revenge a couple weeks ago when I was in Mexico and I was hating life! lol You're body is probably trying to play catch up with your routine after being ill. You do look great, but you know what's best and how you want to look and feel. Ppl tell me all the time that I don't need to lose, but they don't know my body. I suffer from Edema in my foot and if I so much as get over 155...it's absolutely miserable. That is my sole reason for trying to take the weight off...again, lol. What is your motivation? Listen to yourself and your body and the weight will start coming off again.

I am a protocol girl, hence what I am about to say is with this slant. I NEVER add in ANY oils on P2. The good doctor wanted this to be a low fat, low calorie diet and I do NOT add in any oils on P2. I have heard about an experiment on my yahoo groups with coconut oil. They had a group do coconut oil in P2 and some strict protocol without. Those that did the coconut oil were found to not stabilize in P3. I don't know about you, but I want the stabilization as much as IF NOT more than the weight loss. This protocol is a whole plan...what you do in one phase will effect the other phase and what you do in P3 effects P4...and so on. I highly suggest you stick to the original plan--it is what works best If you read through the rogue thread her eon the hcg forum, you will find that their best round was the ones where they followed protocol to the "T".

OK......my $0.02 are done for the day

Just want you to know I am a coconut fanatic--when NOT in P2. I use it on my skin, in my body (3.5 TBL every day), and everywhere in between. Love coconut oil.

Thanks Susan!

Yes, I'm not certain what caused my illness but I did eat beef (accidentally obviously) that was recalled due to e.coli contamination. I wanted to die! It was awful. I have no idea if that's what caused it, but I'm on the mend after a night of prayers on the bathroom floor

I think I need to find a reason to get to 140. I never really had one, other than being able to wear a lot of the stuff I couldn't wear before like fitted blouses, high-waisted skirts, sleeveless dresses, etc. But now, I CAN wear all of those. It sounds superficial, but getting to 140 for me is all vanity. I work in an extremely superficial industry. I made this image to keep myself motivated though. I would REALLY love to be able to wear a bikini confidently one day.

Apple days are for stalls, not for CDs. So no to your question. There are no CDs in the protocol for P2. Just continue on eating P2 is all that should be done.

And, no one will tell you to leave. Love your input

Yes, they are fine for P2 as a stall buster. They are not correction days, as in "I cheated and I want to do something to correct my cheat so I'll do an apple day." Obviously, if people want to use them that way, it's fine. I was just too worried about them not working for a stall if I overused them.
