I STS today. It seems that I do that almost every other day. Hopefully I have a good drop tomorrow. I've been dealing with a slamming headache all day and am really considering going on to bed even though it's really early.
Yes it would be. I am hoping to loose fifteen more this round. That will make it fifty then!!! 21 more days to go

First round, first vlcd ... Hungry all day, not really really bad but its definitely there. So do you guys eat grissini or melbas? I'm going strict protocol cause I'm new to this. Is it one grissini or one serving ? I'm so impressed by you ladies and your strength and your weightloss is great, I wanna join in.. seems like a good plan that can get you to goal , provided I can take the hunger...gulp.

Welcome nspeedracer. A serving is one grissini or melba (the 20-23 calorie ones), but you are allowed two servings a day - just not at the same time. I eventually replaced them nutritionally superior (more fiber, but same or better on carbs/sugar/calories/ingredients, etc.) WASA crisp n light 7 grain. Way bigger and tastier for the same calories.

I was hungry for almost a week (RX injections, just took a while to kick in) and HAD to have extra bits of protein just to stop my stomach from cramping. Also some zero everything chicken broth helped. Sometimes I put celery in it.

Good luck!

Yep. I'm from Abington, outside Phila. Went to college and spent 5 years in SCal (UCI) then back home where I met and married dh, had our kids, then we spent 6 months outside Tampa FL, then out to AZ 7 years ago. We try to visit (Nov last year!) as my older bro still lives in Norristown. But I'm always a Phila fan - Phillies too!!

Riss-being prepared it good. You'll be just fine!!

Buttah- I don't intentionally tan either. I have kept SPF 30+ on my face daily since I was 21. My roommate in college was a "face" character at Disneyland (Snow White) and wasn't allowed to tan her face. And her mom had skin cancer. She taught me about protecting at LEAST your face all the time. I've always been thankful for that. I use bronzer when necessary and apply the self tanning lotion on my legs. I do allow my upper body to tan when we're swimming or outside a lot. W. 6 months of summer I have to do something to deal with the sun. I also have my doubts on the true safety of sunblock. Shade is my friend .

Manders-glad your stomach has settled down. That's awful!!

Reddy-I'm a 2X c-section momma. Not ideal, but so worth it!! My dd's are 3 years apart (3 days bdays apart). It's worked well.

And skin cancer wise, we just buried a good, dear, friend 2 weeks ago who wrestled w. stage 4 skin cancer for nearly 3 years. Such a tragic death at 58. Kind of sobered me up a bit more.

Never tried the full body spray tan thingy. I do the self tan on my legs, but that's all I've done. Hmmm.

Have a great night all!! My softball team finally won!! The second game was ruled a tie, but the umpire made a bad call and we should have won that one too!! I actually enjoyed it (but was dreading it before - hot!!!).

I did a little experiment last week during my loading days..and it worked out great for me. I drank 4 bullet proof coffees with extra butter AND HWC a day, ate protocol foods in larger servings using good fats to cook and dress my salads, plus- had a few pieces of 75% dark chocolate. It wasn't too bad and I didn't feel like a stuffed pig. My hunger vanished yesterday.

BUT I just uploaded some photos to my album on here to show my "progress"

I'd like to add more but then they will be all out of order which drives me nuts and I can't figure out how to order them!!!

I tan moderately too. Used to tan a lot and even fake bake but I know better now. And my father just had some bad skin cancer b/c my whole family is vain and lives for being tan and it caught up. Not worth it.

But i live in Florida and like to get some color.

As for Stretch marks, I had some on my legs and sides and boobs pre pregnancy but now I have full on DEEP tiger stripes on my belly. I should show a true "before" photo where I'm in a bikini on my HoneyMoon. Weighed abut the same as I do now but I looked so much better!
Ha, ha, ha.. my first multi-quote post.. so much better.

Re: tanning. I pretty much stay out of the sun in the summer except while on vacation and even then, limit my exposure to an hour a day with plenty of sunscreen. I've never had a sunburn- I tan very easily and that golden color sticks throughout most of the winter.. lucky I guess. In the spring, fall, and winter- I always sit in the sunshine for a good 20 minutes a day- no sunscreen. It's the best way to get my vitamin D, imo!

You can't help but get plenty of sun in FL.. I always had a little color without even trying!

I'd rather eat my shoe than eat melba..lol! The bread sticks aren't too bad, but I have an aversion to white flour so they don't really appeal to me either. I'll crack a few into my P2 chix soup every now and then.

Good going on your SB game!! Your umpire comment fits right in with what's going on in the NFL right now- I saw a post on FB this morning..lol.. "Please tell the replacement football refs that Foot Locker said you can come back to work now"

I lived in Huntingdon Valley for a long time and then moved out to Holland. When I landed a job with a Big 8 in Philly- I moved over the bridge to Cherry Hill- where I spent the good part of 25 years! I miss PA/NJ sometimes- not the property taxes, tho..lol. We try and visit at least every other year- around Christmas. I sure do miss the Jersey shore!

I'm down 1.4 from starting weight (-4.2, including load) I wish I could call it a whoosh

Hoping and working toward a good drop tomorrow!!

manders- you are gorgeous! in both pics!!

reddy- wowwy what awesome progress!! you look so much younger in your new pics!

i had 3 c-sections and was looking at my body this morning after my shower and UGHHHHHH i'm skinny except for that pouch!

seriously, i have been on hhcg for almost 3 months now and i weigh 111 pounds! my goal is 105. i was on a 2 week stall and the scale started moving again this week (i started adding coconut oil- i know- rogue). so basically, it took me 3 months to lose 23 pounds. which is fine- cause i didn't have too too much to lose.

i want to get a tummy tuck and boob job but i really am afraid. i look fine in clothes though so meh.. who knows. but i love the way my face is thinner and you can finally see my abs- sorta.

Morning Ladies, I don't see any males yet so I assume it's ok. ha ha. Today is load day two. I feel disgusting to say the least. My weight didn't go up today which kinda shocked me. Last night I had a foot long tuna salad sandwich. Two bags of chips and two slice of pizza. yucky.

Mandy - I have 23 shots left, but I might get more depending on whether I want to do a full round or not. I'm guessing I will. I have the countdown app too 'cept it was countdown to vacay. lol I didn't see Katie's show I am reading "Stop Eating Your Heart Out: The 21 Day Program". Good Stuff for emotional eaters.

Dawn - Was the scale nice to you this morning?

Reddy - You are 5'10" and 150??!! You're my hero! All I can say is WOW!

Riss - Hope your headache found someone else to bother and you're feeling better.

Buttah - I hear ya sista. I just hate spray. I'm sure they are a lot better quality in LA. Here, they make you stink like trash for 3 days. I do botox and I have had a lift and implants. I fight to stay young bc my BF of 3 years is 26!! ANOTHER reason why I want to lose some weight. I feel more confident around all his 20 something friends! ha!

Berta - You can do it!! I love your motto about food not ruling us. This round I am going to heavily read books about eating disorders because I truly feel I have one. I hope someday we won't turn to food for comfort anymore.

Julie - Congrats on your softball win

Welcome nspeedracer! 1 Grissini breadstick not one serving Good luck to you!

I love the sun and tanning, but I always do in moderation and just to have some color. I use lotion everyday and I do not want to look like a leather purse. I haven't used a tanning bed since March, but I will be going back soon and that will only be like once a week. I just don't have a lot of spare time to do stuff like that.

I added some pics to my gallery. Forgot to take pics last night, but still have today for loading so I will be nice and plump tonight and will try not to forget.

Question...what is STS and CD? Never seen those before.

That's a great loss and WTG on loading well!! I was actually born and raised in Huntingdon Valley. But the Abington side, not the Upper Moreland (I think) side. It was a great place to grow up and I miss the seasons. And the Jersey shore? My folks owned a hotel in Ocean City growing up and I spent most of my summers there. It was divine!! Sigh. I miss that too!! What day are you on? Down 4.2 sounds great to me!!

My dh is 5-6 years younger than me, so I get looking younger. Thankfully he's starting to look older (finally!! had a baby face for years ) and I'm looking better. Most people think I am younger than him !! Great accountability though . I need to go check out your pics! I love pics!! And no gain after loading? That bodes really well for you!! I think you'll do great!!!

everyone else!! Hope you're down and doing well!!

I'm down 0.8 to 143.8 this morning!! I'm quite pleased with that!! I usually STS after an exercise day, but I don't feel sore today so maybe my body has accepted softball on Monday's finally!! Whatever it is, I'm pleased !!

Have a great day all!!

Hi everyone. Sorry to post the same thing in two threads, but I need advice:

EMERGENCY, need help before I eat anything.

Okay, today is day 4 of STS. (week 4 - typical, right? Why did I lengthen the round FOR THIS?!)

And even though I KNOW it's only a water situation, I am strongly considering an apple day, purely for psychological reasons (as Dr. S it was anyway).

But first, please tell me:

As someone whose body NEEDS protein and doesn't love high glycemic foods, how do you FEEL just eating apples all day? I'm already barely managing hunger, and I fear just apples will make me hungrier. I wish it were a protein day. Are there any alternatives to a P2 apple day? Like, from Biz? I know what Robin would say, so I won't even ask her (and I don't disagree with her; I'm just frustrated).

And doesn't a day of just apples make you ravenous by the day after?

Help! I need answers and experiences!

I don't know how old you are and ya don't have to tell me- but, we probably know some of the same families.. I was pretty close to Byberry and Buck Rd.. =)

Ocean City is so nice.. I wish I would have known you then..hahaha! I also wish I would have owned The Circle Liquor Store..lol!! That place made a fortune!! I hung out in Margate most summers- family had a condo on Atlantic.

I'm on Day 6, vlcd4. I thought I was only 5 days in- I had to look at my tracking chart to double check. I think I would have been further along- those darn Eagles made me stress out.. HA! Yea, yea- it's their fault!

Hey all.. Today is VLCD 1. I am going to do an extended round, since I have so many interruptions planned.. the first one being Oct 5th, the second on the 27th. This round is going to be an interesting one!

Buttah- Take a deep breath!

Apple days are very effective- and, me personally- was not ravenous the next day, quite the contrary. I also never wanted to see another apple as long as I lived tho- lol.

Simeons:
"The other way to break up a plateau is by giving a non-mercurial diuretic for one day. This is simpler for the patient but we prefer the apple-day as we sometimes find that though the diuretic is very effective on the following day it may take two to three days before the normal daily reduction is resumed, throwing the patient into a new fit of despair. It is useless to give either an apple-day or a diuretic unless the weight has been stationary for at least four days without any dietary error having been committed."

Welcome DB! Wow..you've got some great stats! Speaking of interruptions, what exactly defines an interruption? Is that when you have to go to an event or your on vacation and you absolutely can't eat protocol?

I already don't love apples. The idea is just not appealing, especially when I'm barely managing hunger. And re-reading Dr. S saying it's "purely psychological," as in the water weight will eventually come down anyway, I almost feel the "grown-up" thing to do is just be patient and have another perfect protocol day. Not taking a diuretic, so looking for any "alternative" P2 stall-breakers.

"A plateau always corrects, itself, but many patients who have become accustomed to a regular daily loss get unnecessarily worried and begin to fret. No amount of explanation convinces them that a plateau does not mean that they are no longer responding normally to treatment.

In such cases we consider it permissible, for purely psychological reasons, to break up the plateau."

Welcome to PH2 thread.
I have said it many many times before... so I will say it one more time.RX HCG is much better to control hunger. At least for me it is.

Also drinking chicken or beef broth(no MSG) really helped me when I was useing the Hemopathic HCG. Just a suggestion. OR you could try splitting up your meals into four like 1 1/2 oz protein and 1/2 fruit and just eating on that all day long instead of at two meals. Also drinking hot tea and your water will help keep you feeling full too.I sure hope this helps in some way.
It is a terrible thing to feel hungry.

Hi and welcome! I haven't popsted to you yet sorry.I don't do personal much any more as my time is sparse at the moment. But nice to meet you.
I will tell you how I came up withthe saying I have. I am not preaching tonyou or anyone else.I am speaking ONLY of myself.

I am a born again Christian. And one day I was in the kitchen eating stuffing on Chips and dip(or something?) and praying(not that I am embarrased of praying but that I am a Christian and stuffing my face( gluttony is sin) so I ws praying and sinning at the same time
Well any way the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said"

Chips and salsa has always been my guilty pleasure.

Sorry I haven't done any personal shout-outs yet. I'm having a hard day, but I will get to it.

Have thought it over and, and there is no way I can do an apple day. I had one apple already and the very idea of 4 or 5 more makes me feel weak. HCG is hard enough.

I will have to let the water weight play itself out the "natural way." And considering that I'm certain I ovulated a week or so ago, this is probably just my uterus filling up with fluids. Chances are any apple day fix would be temporary or set up me up for yet another stall. Not doin' it.

Well any way the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said" WHY DO YOU LET FOOD RULE YOU AND NOT ME?" That was my eye opener! My DD had lost over 100lbs in less than a year on RX HCG so I decided right then and there I would try it too. And with the Lords help I would loose this fat and get back in control of my eating. So that is the story. This is my journey.SO far it has been quite interesting.
So that's how the saying came about. Again it's very nice to meet you and have you join us!

P.S. We have a guy ...but I haven't seen him post much anymore... his name is JIM he met a new lady so he is probably just busy in life now!

Have a safe trip and enjoy NANA! I lost my mom last year in Oct at 93.
I want to say also.... that you are beautiful and I do not see where you need to lose weight at all? I'd be so happy to like like that!

I don't care for the melbas much either but they are better with the WF jam on htem.I have been eating one slice of Sara Lee whole grain multigrain bread a day(not all days) but it only has 45 calsories. So I figure they did not have such a thing 50 years ago and it isn't anymore than 2 melbas. But anyway it might not be good for you.But it hasn't hurt me so far. It certainly helps me stick to plan.I do not care to go rouge a little bit as long as I keep losing each day and so far I have. It may not be much but it is still a loss. Anyway JFI. You can always try it and see how your body does YMMV

HI JULIE AND ANYONE ELSE I'VE MISSED.OH MY... HOW COULD I FORGET DAWN MY BUDDY

I use my normal sweeteners on P2 and do well. I suggest you do the same! I bought so many flavored liquid stevias and they are sitting in the cabinet....unopened. I prefer my regular sweeteners, to include Splenda.
