Easy peasy. You just slice up the apple very thin.

Place on Baking sheet. Sprinke cinNamon with Stevia on top (I used three packs of stevia and eyed out the cinnamon)

Bake at 200 for 1.5 hours with door opened slightly. You can cook longer if needed.

I also did a quicker batch this morning. Cooked at 325 for 20 mins and they were good too just not as chip like.

Dawn - congrats! that's so awesome. I don't know how you wake up that early.

Those apple chips look delicious.

My seasonal allergies are super bad right now. I ended up taking some allergy medicine. I hope that won't affect my losses. Might retain some water, but my eyes are itchy and swollen, my nose/sinuses are super itchy and I seriously can't deal right now. Anyone else have this issue?

I am sorry you are dealing with that. I don't have allergies, but my everyone in my family suffers terribly. My eldest son right now can barely talk, his throat is so irritated. If you have to have meds then so be it. As long as it makes you feel better. The symptoms sure don't sound fun.

I've been sneezing up a storm over here! Not very attractive in front of clients lol gross.

I don't think the air travel helped either. Ick. All that recycled air in the plane.

On another note: does anyone else find they get super cranky during the first few VLCD? I'm soooooo grumpy and sad and emotional. I just finished my TOM and normally I'm happy go lucky right now, except I want to kill everyone who annoys me (hypothetically) haha

VLCD1 is going ok. Had chx & homemade tomato sauce for lunch, 1 grissini, & 50oz of water. Hungry, but not excessively so.
My doc prescribed Paxil today due to my stress &anxiety. Ive never been on anything other than BC while on HCG... Has anyone done p2 on paxil?!

I personally have not taken Paxil while on HCG, however my mom has been on it for a long time and she has struggled to lose. It may be coincidence or not, but I detoxed from my old antidepressant at the end of January and began my weightless journey Feb 1 and haven't looked back. This time has been WAY different than every other time I've tried to lose weight.

It doesn't help that I started P2 right after I got back from my visit with my BF. I always find that I'm in a huge funk for about a week after. I cry a lot and miss him terribly. After that week, I adjust to us being apart again and I'm okay. We haven't booked our next trip yet and I need to have something to look forward to so I can stay sane.

I'm at 164.2 for the 2nd day on day 6 of p2 tomorrow I'm going to begin increasing some healthy fats for a couple of days and a planned interruption on saturday to celebrate dh's birthday. I have some surprises in store for him, He has no idea hee hee. Manders so sorry about the boyfriend distance thing. DH and I traveled back and forth for a few months and then we had enough of that. Our hearts broke every time we had to leave one another.

berta - green beans sound so good but I'm afraid to add them, your loss may have slowed but you're still going in the right direction

reddy - I completely understand wanting to be able to enjoy yourself for the ballgame and not be consumed by obsessing over the food, if it was me I know I would probably have a hard time not indulging in that situation, sorry that you've STS - I'm in the same boat today

lara - I have one of those sisters who is not supportive as well, growing up she was always super skinny and I was skinny until I hit puberty and then started filling out, I've always had boobs/hips where she was built more straight up and down, I really started having problems with my weight after my first miscarriage when my thyroid went completely haywire, my sister has really started gaining weight now even though she dropped all of her weight after both of her children were born, I suspect she has a thyroid issue too, she still loves to point out any of my flaws that she can, recently I dropped 12 lbs after switching over to Armour thyroid and was so excited b/c I felt like my body was finally going to be receptive to losing, I foolishly shared with my mother that I had dropped some weight which she apparently shared with my sister, the next time I saw my sister she said "where did you lose 12 lbs from b/c I sure don't see it?", I was definitely annoyed with her, my husband says that he thinks my sister doesn't want me to lose weight b/c at the rate she's gaining if I keep losing then she'll be the heavier one and he thinks she has jealousy issues - I've decided that it's for the best for me to spend as little time around her as I can right now b/c I just don't have the tolerance for her nonsense

julie - your DD will have fond memories of your walks with her, that's around the same age that my mother and I started disagreeing on just about everything, we had a very strained relationship for many years but eventually we both came around and now we get along really well

manders - 1.8 more down and all the vacation weight off is great, hope your allergies let up, I've been lucky so far and mine have been rather mild so I'm trying not to take any of the meds unless I get really miserable with them

dawn - 1.2 sounds like a great way to start the week

buttah - hope you figure out how much magnesium you need to take to keep from using the tea, I think that might be part of my trouble here as well right now and am considering using something tonight since I'm off work tomorrow

viola - welcome

STS for me today Hoping for a drop tomorrow. I had coffee with the vanilla creme stevia today and it wasn't bad. Then I had sliced apples for lunch and got pulled away before I could eat the rest of my food. Then I realized about 6PM that I hadn't had anything else all day?? It was quite a strange feeling to realize that I hadn't really thought about food. The bad thing is that I didn't get in my water like I usually do at work either though. Of course by the time I got home I had to have something so I heated up some more lemon pepper chicken and put it over lettuce and sprinkled some salsa salad seasoning on it again. Now I'm trying to chug the water to get it all in.

riss, my doc said to take magnesium citrate, and mentioned Natural Calm, which is exactly that. I went to Whole Foods to get it, and the woman there said it's wonderful stuff - it calms you at night, helps you sleep and makes you go in the morning. So I bought a separate calcium, which she said to take in the morning, so I'm just taking the magnesium citrate at night. We'll see in the morning!

Just had 96% ground beef for dinner again (had chicken for lunch), minus one fruit and two breads, my calories are at 382! But I am SO CONTENT!!! Went car shopping with my DH this evening, and dinner was delayed until 7pm. Didn't bother me one bit. It's like I have my life back in comparison to the first starving days. Robin says if you aren't hungry, you don't eat. So if you go to bed at 382, so be it. You already have enough leptin (by the same token, if you need more food due to hunger, you need more leptin, so it all sort of evens out).

Please let me be in the 150's tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening. Manders, feel better!

My doc recommended magnesium oxide for me way back when I first started having leg cramps but I was always hesitant to take it b/c of the warning about a laxative effect. Now I'm really considering taking it before bed.

Magnesium oxide is different than citrate. I have already been taking magnesium oxide (it comes in my calcium), and it didn't helped one bit, although that could've been because I was taking the calcium at the same time? Still, they specifically said "oxide."

Starting today, I'm done with my interruption and back in P2! Bring on the black coffee..bleh

Magnesium citrate is a more bioavailable form of magnesium than magnesium oxide. How many times can I say magnesium in a sentence? Hehe. I have the same problem with not being able to go, so I am taking magnesium citrate 2x a day, drinking ginger tea to help my digestion, and resorting to senna tea if it gets too bad. That's the plan, hopefully I won't have to lean on laxatives as much as I have in the past.

Another thing I'm doing differently is (gasp) not weighing!! Planning not to weigh until 10/1, which is close to when I'd end the round anyway. I felt like that was a good date. We shall see if I don't die from the curiosity first!

Welcome back to P2 babe! You and I both!

This is way TMI, but I REEEEALLY went to the bathroom tonight. It was insane. I was scared. I sent a text to my BF saying "if I die, tell my mom I love her" I'm so glad he loves me enough to put up with my potty talk

Looking forward to a big drop in the morning!

I have terrible allergies and theone thing that made them go away plus seemed to promote losses was acupuncture! Try it it totally got me off allegra claritin flonase and benadryl!! Neti pot is good to cleanes the sinuses of pollen and allergens...

lara - I have one of those sisters who is not supportive as well, growing up she was always super skinny and I was skinny until I hit puberty and then started filling out, I've always had boobs/hips where she was built more straight up and down, I really started having problems with my weight after my first miscarriage when my thyroid went completely haywire, my sister has really started gaining weight now even though she dropped all of her weight after both of her children were born, I suspect she has a thyroid issue too, she still loves to point out any of my flaws that she can, recently I dropped 12 lbs after switching over to Armour thyroid and was so excited b/c I felt like my body was finally going to be receptive to losing, I foolishly shared with my mother that I had dropped some weight which she apparently shared with my sister, the next time I saw my sister she said "where did you lose 12 lbs from b/c I sure don't see it?", I was definitely annoyed with her, my husband says that he thinks my sister doesn't want me to lose weight b/c at the rate she's gaining if I keep losing then she'll be the heavier one and he thinks she has jealousy issues - I've decided that it's for the best for me to spend as little time around her as I can right now b/c I just don't have the tolerance for her nonsense

julie - your DD will have fond memories of your walks with her, that's around the same age that my mother and I started disagreeing on just about everything, we had a very strained relationship for many years but eventually we both came around and now we get along really well

manders - 1.8 more down and all the vacation weight off is great, hope your allergies let up, I've been lucky so far and mine have been rather mild so I'm trying not to take any of the meds unless I get really miserable with them

dawn - 1.2 sounds like a great way to start the week

buttah - hope you figure out how much magnesium you need to take to keep from using the tea, I think that might be part of my trouble here as well right now and am considering using something tonight since I'm off work tomorrow

viola - welcome
I just think there are two kinds of people, thoughtfull people and the people that justify themselves to make comments to others that are just plain inconsiderate and rude and I've had it with them. If they have the gall to say something to me having known me and my struggles then I will be happy to put them in their place and or just stop hanging around those kinds of people.
I am thinking that she is jealous of you too. I think that it's good to sit back and realize that her comments are simply a reflection of her own feelings torwards herself. The best think you can do is not react. I'm working on that myself and its hard.

I think the hormones mess with us sometimes. Treat yourself well.
I hate to say this but acupuncture would calm some of those funky feelings.. Obvi I'm a huge advocate, =)

Morning all, have to make this quick b/c I have a conference call at 11.

Buttah I hope the Natural Calm worked for you!!! I hate that feeling and I have had to rely on the Senna tea to go at all this round although the apples seemed to bring me a movement today!

LOL Manders at telling your BF you might die!

Cocoa! Welcome to the mix!

Berta, I hope you hit the 50lb mark this round. I have a feeling you will b/c you've been doing so well!

As for me, my apple day yielded me a 1.4lb loss! Seems the only times I've seen any movement on the scale this round were the two times I drank the tea and then the apple day but whatever, I'll take it!

I could NOT have done the Apple day if I was experiencing the hunger I had before but It wasn't that bad b/c I wasn't actually hungry. IT was more a mental thing of YUCK to another apple. I ate 5 in total. One plain, one I made into APple Sauce and then I did 3 batches of Apple Chips. I also drank some tea and water like Manders always says she does b/c I was THIRSTY!

So with that, I"m going to plug on since I'm not feeling hunger anymore. Plus I have a ton of P2 food to finish up anyway! I'm at 156.4 this morning and my goal at this point for the round was 155. I think I can get there!

Have a great day friends!

DELANEY S - Saw your post in the other thread. You should try and apple day to break your stall. IT worked for me!

IM BACK!!!

Yay!!! My drops came yesterday and i plan to start hhcg tomorrow!!! I missed you ladies. I have to do a steak day today because i ate two rows of coconut macaroons last night at 10pm.. Anyway i want to get back to 253 so maybe after my load days i will be right back at my LDW 257. I need to drop 3 lbs from this steak day.

Im so pumped!!! Do you ladies think it's a good idea to do some weight lifting in P2?? I really want to tighten my arms, thighs and butt. Maybe twenty to thirty minutes a day?? I did alot of cardio last year( 1 1/2hrs a day)elliptical and i lost 56 lbs. I got these rolls under my butt. I regained some (the reason im on hhcg) and i don't want droopy skin this time. I thought weights might help instead of so much cardio.

Im definitely going to try those apple chips...mmm..delicious!!!

Berta, Reddy, LaraSuzz, Dawnyama and manders- way to go on your losses!!

Manders-I've been married 10 years(together 15 yrs) & we've only been away from each other 3 times..we can't sleep without each other!!
I completely understand..

Happy Releases!!!

Hoping you had a nice drop today!

Woo hoo! That'd be awesome!

Another thing I'm doing differently is (gasp) not weighing!! Planning not to weigh until 10/1, which is close to when I'd end the round anyway. I felt like that was a good date. We shall see if I don't die from the curiosity first!
Black coffee is the worst. I put hazelnut stevia in it, and it's... meh. P3's addition of h&h is heavenly. I absolutely HAVE to weigh every day. It's my daily boost to keep going. GL!

This made me LOL for real. I had a similar experience last evening, and I was like, "WTH is going on?!"

I've never had enough energy to do hard exercise, but I know some on the boards have done weights during P2. I stick to walks/pilates... & then only sometimes. GL with your start!!

~~~
I'm down 4.6, which is all my load weight, plus .5 or so!! I'll take it! I had a headache for most of yesterday and today it's still here. I don't think I've had adverse effects to Tylenol on HCG in the past. I't slow grade, but it's enough to be annoying & I have stuff to do!
Happy releasing, everyone!
Wow that's awesome!! Keep it up!!!
Hopefully the headache will go away. I think it's probably from detoxing from sugar and carbs!
