Ugh!! Not another good scale day.....again. That is 4 days in a row?? No, just checked. It is 5 days in a row. Apple day is due. Tomorrow I am thinking of an apple day. Don't know about that. Should have done one today, but am waiting one more day. But tomorrow is my weigh in later day---like 2 hours later. So I am sure I will be down quite a bit Hoping for a good scale day tomorrow. Just like all you fine folks are doing

Happy Friday!! It is the weekend

DAWNI don't get why you are stalling but I think maybe an APPLE day could help break it and get you moving again. I would give it a try!!!

Hang in there!!!

Buttah!

Just a thought..

I am revisiting Pounds & Inches- sort of getting my head back in the game.

I read this passage and thought of you.. Could this pertain to your "ovulation" pain?

Fibroids
While uterine fibroids seem to be in no way affected by hCG in the doses we use,
we have found that very large, externally palpable uterine myomas are apt to give
trouble. We are convinced that this is entirely due to the rather sudden
disappearance of fat from the pelvic bed upon which they rest and that it is the
weight of the tumor pressing on the underlying tissues which accounts for the
discomfort or pain which may arise during treatment. While we disregard even fairsized
or multiple myomas, we insist that very large ones be operated before
treatment. We have had patients present themselves for reducing fat from their
abdomen who showed no signs of obesity, but had a large abdominal tumor.

Thanks for thinking of me! But I'm pretty sure my "ovulation pain" was... ovulation pain. I know the feeling. Just like in the past, it was there for a few hours, then gone. ANd like I said, without giving TMI, I had all the other signs. HCG made me ovulate. That's it, plain and simple. It is a fertility drug, after all. I also do not have fibroids. Nothin' to worry about.

I started feeling super hungry again about two hours before "dinner." Argh! I hope my hunger issue isn't coming back. I was just starting to enjoy this.

So I had some broth and celery, because I've got to push dinner as late as possible tonight. We have plans that will require us to be out fairly late, and if I eat dinner too early, I'll get dizzy later on. Please, please, please, please don't let this be happening again. My first round, had I kept it short, would've ended with tomorrow's injection. But I'm not close enough to normal weight to begin having hunger while on HCG. I'd been planning on 20 more days!

Reddy, help!!!

No!!! I really hope this is an isolated incident for you and that it has subsided. Smart to push dinner so that you're not weak and hungry later.. I hope it's gone for you soon!!!

I am afraid I may have overdone it today as my first day in P3. I didn't eat much the first two P3 days last round but this time I am more hungry (seems on point given I was hungry in P2) WEnt for the Sugar Free Choc Covered Almonds I missed so much but I may have had too many. Oops... We'll see what the scale has to say about THAT tomorrow.

I tried making spinach chips and the only things I succeeded in were making burnt green leaves, setting off the smoke alarm three times and sending my neighbours into a panic thinking my house was burning down. LOL

Reddy, I was able to push dinner until 7, and we are leaving soon. I'll bring an apple. I think I'll be okay. I truly hope so.

But because I love you so much, I wish you would stop believing that what the scale says tomorrow is really a truly valid reflection of today or permanent fat gain from one overindulgence of chocolate nuts. It just isn't. If you stop over-doing it, you will self correct. But I'll stop harping on that. There's enough that's been written on it.

My clinic has a very specific ramp in to P3 which I'm very grateful for. I would not want to begin it with just "no sugar and starch." That would not be good for me!

But I have faith in you. You'll be fine.

Naturally now there's a part of me wondering how low I could have gotten if I stuck it out, but I'm Drinking my coffee with cream and moving on so that's that!

In a sense I kind of made a goal here. 145 was my original goal, then I revised it to 150 and then when my round was going terribly, I said I'd just be happy to at least hit 155! Well I'm 155.4 this morning! So yay for that!

The good thing too is that this gives me some wiggle room for tomorrow I I hopefully will be able to stay in my window!

Anyway I hope you all had good nice scale encounters this morning!!!
I'm so glad you hit a goal! Sometimes we really need to just be happy with ourselves for a bit. Look at how far you've come!

That's scary... the BF and I don't use any hormonal BC.

Everyone is scaring me! I have been feeling sick for almost 5 days now. I have almost no appetite, I'm exhausted and have weird tummy things going on. But my sinuses are being nuts so that makes me think it's just a flu.

My mother made me swear I wasn't pregnant and my BF's mom asked him today if I am on the pill out of nowhere. How awkward is that? I just had my period, so I know I'm not. But really guys. STOP!

Oh no manders.... why? Did you cook them too long? Maybe if you are bold enough to try again try for less time or lower heat? I'm sorry hun!!!

Buttah, as always you are right, I need to not be a slave to the scale but I am. I feel very bloated tonight after eating a lot. I won't break down and cry if I'm up, I will just know I need to watch myself. I'll get to stabilization. I know I will.

Good luck tonight!!! HOpe the hunger stays away!

Tonight has been tough! I'm finally getting my appetite back after feeling so gross all week. Had extra protein and caved with some cocoa crack. I'm sure the scale will not be kind tomorrow.

Why was it SO easy to lose the first 30 pounds, and so awful to lose the last 25? The next 25 aren't coming easy either!

Good morning friends!! How's everyone today?

Buttah-sorry for the hunger yes.terday. That's my hardest time of the day. 4ish. I had "dinner" yesterday at 4:45 and then left the house to go shopping for a while. It was a good idea. Getting out the house . Hang in there, and take it a day at a time. You're almost through the minimum, and anything else you can eek out is gravy

Reddy-those sugar alcohols might get ya'. They kill my belly!! Enjoy yourself today!!

Manders- I'm sure you're not pg. It wouldn't be the end of the world, would it? It would certainly change things, but babies are always a blessing . The problem with the 2nd half of your WL journey is you're closer to goal, you look good already, and your commitment isn't as strong. Normal. You can do it!

Berta-nice loss!! Hope you get it all done in time for your show .

Tameka-you're losing great!! Nice idea of the pic on the fridge. Motivation

I'm down 0.8 overnight again . That's wonderful for the end of week 2!! this round has been different form me. Down it down and I'm at 145.8 today, which was my goal. I do love losing!! I know no one will believe this, but I've lost almost 4 lbs since I added half-n-half to my coffee 4 days ago. Considering I was stalled for 4 days before that I'll admit I'm pleased and happy with that!! Plan to keep plugging away and see where I land. 8 more days.

You have NO IDEA how tempted I am to put half and half in my coffee. You're KILLING ME LARRY! Robin even told me to, IF I was hungry. But I've been chicken. This morning I needed that half hard-boiled egg, and the two (that and half and half) are pretty close. Maybe I will experiment tomorrow. I often suspect my body needs just a tad bit more fat, even on HCG.

Today I STS, but that's fine. I've noticed that is my pattern. STS or lose or gain a fraction, then lose almost a pound, then back to STS.

Like Robin says, fat loss and weight loss are not usually the same line on a graph, and she measures both with her local patients regularly. It's so wrong that my clinic doesn't do that!

Have a great Saturday, everyone.

OH! I forgot to say that indeed my hunger WAS manageable for the rest of the evening last night! AND we were up until midnight out at a rock concert (you must indulge me - my oldest son is the guitarist, and he's a superstar). The kids are all drinking and bopping (or whatever it is they do), and I'm eating my apple. But I was fine. Phew.

Hi Julie

Sounds like you're doing well. I came across a "BIZ article" that may interest you...it is regarding added fats...I haven't tried it...I don't want to stop my losing trend right now, kwim? Hope it helps! I will put it in another post.

I worried that I may have over eaten yesterday but I did ok!

I will behave as much as possible tonight and hope for minimal gaIns! AlcOhol usually causes me gains so i won't be surprised to be up!

Happy Saturday everyone!
Awesome news, Reddy! STS's can be a good thing

Very nice! I get so frustrated when I sew... I'm not very good at it. I do better with crochet, which is what I'm attempting to not chew my hand off

Yup! It evens out. It's hard on the days when you STS, but the drops are worth it! Keep up the good work!

~~~
I'm down .4 this morning. I am SO tired today. I work on Saturdays, so I'm at my office attempting to garner up the energy for the day. I'm sipping my black coffee wishing it was 7pm already (10hr shifts). This upcoming week is going to be interesting. I have that ct test on Monday morning, then I'm traveling for a business training. I get to see a good friend from college while I'm there (who I haven't seen in nearly a year!!)--- we are going to do dinner (seafood place), and some shopping. I may indulge in a drink w/her...one glass of wine, maybe?! I don't want to stall myself, but... we'll see. I'm afraid the barium stuff I have to drink for the ct test will make me stall anyway, but we'll see.
Have a good day ladies!!
Clean Fats on Phase 2 (BIZ article-partial)
I can give a link which explains her theory if anyone would like to see it.
Here is the breakdown of what/when to add the fats:
The above being said, it isn’t just a case of eating whatever fats you like. You can’t just go willy nilly and expect the phenomenon to work. No, I have come up with a list of what I call “clean” fats, or fats that are acceptable for P2:
Sour Cream*
Greek Yogurt*
Butter*
Ghee*
Oils**
Avocados
Raw Macadamias
Half and Half*
Mayo***
Monday – 500 calories
Tuesday – 750 calories
Wednesday – 1000 calories
Thursday – 750 calories
Friday – 500 calories
Saturday – 750 calories
Sunday – 1000 calories
The cycle starts over again on Monday.
Thanks Angela!! I appreciate it!! I am pleasantly surprised at how well I'm losing with the hnh. Truthfully, the hnh and GY are the 2 things I miss the most while on P2. Intriguing. I, also, would like that link . If you're losing well, don't mess w. it!!
Buttah-sorry to tempt you. Just wanted to be honest. I'm sorry you STS, but you totally get how it works and you'll be fine. 1 day at a time
Viola-sorry for the long day ahead!! Hope you find the energy somewhere!! Your visit will be fun!! I just saw my old college roomies in June and it was wonderful!! Sorry about the test, but hopefully there'll be no neg. impact from it.
Reddy- for STS!! A nice juicy burger for lunch sounds divine!! Only 8 more days for me . Bacon, yum!
Taking the girls to the movies today. "Unconditional" looks really good. Coke Zero for me, gotta' resist the popcorn!!
Julie, I didn't mean it in a bad way. I've been thinking of trying HNH anyway. I'm glad you reported your experience! Now I just may.
I put in the weekdays that were the days that coincided with my LDW and the following. Obviously adjust the days if your LDW was a different day. On the "clean fats," those include cream, HNH, butter, olive oil and other whole oils (e.g NOT canola or corn), GY, sour cream, and avocado. NO Nuts or nut butters. I found that this gradual easing into fats was wonderful, both for my psyche and for my GI tract...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

• Sunday – Day of your last dose: 500 calories

• Monday – VLCD no hCG D1: 750 calories – typical P2 menu with added clean fats*.
o 1T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 1T olive oil
o +257 calories

• Tuesday – VLCD no hCG D2: 1000 calories – typical P2 menu with added clean fats*, and you can add two eggs.
o 1 extra large egg
o 1.5T HWC
o 3T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 80g avocado
o +501 calories

Phase 3 officially begins:
• Wednesday – P3D1: 1250 calories – try to keep with a typical P2 menu, but mix your veggies, add eggs if you want, and clean fats*.
o 1 extra large egg
o 2T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 100g avocado
o 120g cooked chicken (28g extra cooked)
o 0.5T olive oil
o 150g beef 96/4 (50g extra)
o +752 calories

• Thursday – P3D2: 1500 calories – again, try to keep with a typical P2 menu, mix veggies, add eggs if desired, increase your protein to around 8-10 oz for the day, and clean fats*.
o 2 extra large eggs
o 2T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 100g avocado
o 150g cooked chicken (28g extra cooked)
o 1T olive oil
o 200g 96/4 ground beef (100g extra)
o +1009 calories

• Friday – P3D3: 1750 calories. This is where you can start adding some different proteins, fruits, and veggies. Be careful about adding fats that are not considered “clean”; cheeses and nut or nut butters. Those should wait until you are much further into P3 than just the first few days.
o 2 extra large eggs
o 4 slices low sodium bacon
o 2T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 100g avocado
o 150g cooked chicken (28g extra cooked)
o 1T olive oil
o 200g 96/4 ground beef (100g extra)
o +1169 calories + ~100 more calories of veggies/fruit/protein
Shelby, if you're still around, are the added calories IN ADDITION to the things added above them, or do they include the extras above?

No, I understood you . I just don't want others to try and stall. I don't normally add it, but my 4th day stalled prompted me to try it. I'm so glad I did!! Much more enjoyable you may just lose better?

Busy day today. Saw "unconditional" in the movie theater today. HIGHLY recommend. Good movie! He girls and I liked it

Just finished dinner. Got strawberries for later. Have a good night all!

Struggled to drink my water today ... forcing myself, but it feels like work. I struggle to drink enough water all the time, though. P2 is especially hard. Its 6pm here & Im not particularly hungry. Could be my dinner isnt appealin?. Too early to be sick of the foods for sure. Stuck with the plan @ work this week, which Im proud of, because our cook is excellent & we always have Oreos (my nemesis)!
