You know what I was thinking today? The original hCG patients at Dr. S's clinic in Italy got to relax in a spa-like environment every day while on protocol. (Maybe the patients were all super-rich anyways? ) While I think it would be totally awesome if that existed today and everyone could just do that, we can't. A girl can dream though!

...okay, back to work. Sigh.

I really shouldn't be starting until Monday, but my supplies arrived two days ago, and they've been calling my name. Besides, my P3 has been rock solid.. not even a flutter. I figure I'm ready to get the rest of this blub off of me.. I really am!! =)

Thank you ladies for all the help!

I started upping my dose from 0.5 mL three times daily to 0.6 mL three times daily today and it seems to be helping a little bit more so far.

This morning I was worried about being ravenous (since it was my first day on the higher dose), so I also had a scrambled egg with 2 egg whites with a fruit serving for breakfast to make sure I felt better. I'm going to try just the higher dose w/o an extra protein for breakfast tomorrow and see how I feel (I don't want to eat too many calories i.e.: a third portion of protein)!

Also, I did originally "contaminate" the dropper by accidentally touching it to my mouth, rinsed it well after, though, however the same bottle hasn't affected my fiance's results (he's doing really well!), so I'm not sure how contaminated the drops are now. I did look at my skin products, but, forgot to check my antiperspirant until last night, it's Dove and lo and behold there's some sort of seed oil in the ingredients list, so I'll have to try another type.

Thanks again for all your suggestions! I'll keep you posted!

P.S. I was just wondering if anyone would know why I would require a higher dose of drops than my fiance? He's 369 lb and I'm 153 lb, it doesn't make any sense to me? Would it be because my job is physically demanding and he has a desk job?

Okay, any one else have this experience?

I am 55, but I still get my periods, albeit every 4-6 weeks, not every 28 days anymore. I do not think I ovulate very often, though, as I could always feel the sharp ovulatory pain on one side or the other when I was younger. And now it's rare.

Well, I had my last period on my loading days, 20 days ago. And today, I swear to you, I am OVULATING. I not only have all the signs, but I can totally feel it in my left ovary.

Huh.

Buttah~ are you in rx or homeopathic? The first round, I did rx & my period was off the hook!! My TOM was like (14- 20 days... cant remember now, but I was appalled ), & got a second one soon after starting P3!
Subsequent rounds werent like that, but my TOM is always @least slightly affected

Hi everyone. I'm waiting for my hhcg to get here. I've been lurking and reading... Excited to start and lose weight , I'm on several rx for chronic daily migraines. What are known stallers and problems to avoid? I read tomato and beef and cabbage? Any advice?

Buttah, I have found my period to be more regular than ever before. I'm not sure if that's a post pregnancy thing or an HCG thing since I have only had 3 periods since starting HCG but I know that before pregnancy I was all over the place and now it's like clockwork.

But I've read it can make TOM very wonky and all over the place.

Speed Racer, I think every one is different. Some people have said Oranges are trouble but they never bothered me, I have had issues with Tomatoes but not really cabbage. You kind of have to see how your body reacts which is why it's good to keep a journal of what you eat so you can see patterns and see what foods if any are causing you to stall. GOOD LUCK!

I think P2 is definitely harder if I go out at all. I'm so much better off to stay home and pack my lunch every day. I'm hoping I can get through the next few weeks with minimal outside dining. I know that next week DH will want to go out for his bday. He mentioned wanting to go somewhere he can get "all-you-can-eat crab legs" which will be really hard to not overdo. Then I have my bday a few weeks out. He'll want to go out for that too but I know that my workgroup will probably want to take me out. Of course they might want to go out to celebrate my new job as well, it seems they look for any reason to go out

Nice surprise that the car work wasn't as expensive as you expected. We've got some of that to get done in the next few weeks as well and I hope it's not too bad.

I'm sure not feeling very spa-like while doing this but it sure would be nice!

I've had issues with my cycles being really long with the PCOS. Last month my cycle was almost 40 days and I ovulated around Day 24. I'm at Day 15 this month and I haven't tested but I think I'm ovulating now too. Maybe hcg is going to regulate my cycles

Early 30s. I do know that it does increase fertility, somewhat. 2 of my friends got preggers after hcg. It could be causing you to ovulate more..... ~~ I'm sure someone has a better explanation!!

First VLCD

Goodmorning!! My LDW was 257. In P4 i got down to 253. After loading im at 258.4. I hope it comes off as easy as it was to put on. Today is my first vlcd...so here goes nothing!!! I hope everyone is doing well.

Tameka wishin you an amazing p2!!!

Today is my first p3 and I was surprised to see that my final VLCD yielded me 1.2lb loss despite TOM! Shocked to lose on TOM! Perhaps it was the pre-menstrual time that had me retaining water more thAn during!!!

Naturally now there's a part of me wondering how low I could have gotten if I stuck it out, but I'm Drinking my coffee with cream and moving on so that's that!

In a sense I kind of made a goal here. 145 was my original goal, then I revised it to 150 and then when my round was going terribly, I said I'd just be happy to at least hit 155! Well I'm 155.4 this morning! So yay for that!

The good thing too is that this gives me some wiggle room for tomorrow I I hopefully will be able to stay in my window!

Anyway I hope you all had good nice scale encounters this morning!!!

oh, wow.. that's kind of scary, Buttah. I'm 50, but am solidly in menopause- in my 2nd year of no periods.

I can't even imagine getting pregnant this late in the game... perhaps you should use something for contraception *just in case*. HCG is used as a fertility drug- to induce ovulation. I mean, we have to wonder if our eggs would even be viable at this point- but, it is not unheard of! I used to work with a lady whose mother had her at 64!!

I'm sorry you had a rough round, Reddy! I wish you the best in locking in the losses you did achieve! It may not have been as much as you would have liked, but any downward movement puts you closer to goal, right!? I'm keeping my expectations at a reasonable level since I keep reading that the first round is the best. I lost 30 my first round (40 days) and would LOVE to lose the last 30 this time...lol. If it happens, I'll be ecstatic- if not, onward!

Take care these first days of P3- lock it in!!

Manders- Congrats on the virgin territory! WTG!

Tameka- Looks like you and I are only a day apart in our round- are you doing 40?? If so- let's hang out!

Julie- glad to hear the bill for your car wasn't too much $$$. My 4Runner has 178K on it and started running really rough last week- I thought: "OK, baby- you've been so good to me, time to start nickeling and diming me, right?" Turns out- I just needed a tune-up, BAD! It IS the little things.. lol. ugh.. I do need tires, tho. Blah! I hate spending money on tires- I'd rather have shoes.

Riss- I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but what I do before going out to eat is visit the restaurants' website, take a look at their nutritional info, and plan my meal before I get there. OMG- DH wanted to go to The Cheesecake Factory one night.. I almost died when I took a look at their info. It's a no-wonder they were so reluctant to release their data. The only reason they did is because the law requires them to in Washington state. I told DH- sorry, no effen way!! We ended up at a pretty high-end Greek restaurant that night...lol. S'good!

SpeedRacer- Love the name, lol. I used to have a huge crush on him (yes, on a cartoon, hahaha) and would dream up ways to get rid of Trixie

I gained .60 my first day of loading. eeeek.. I hate the load gain- just glad to *know* that it will disappear. (No where near as worried as I was the first round!)

Reddy, that ALWAYS happens to me with TOM. It takes a bunch of water with it. Anyway, you should be VERY pleased with what you accomplished considering you were starving half the time. I hope you stabilize beautifully - you deserve it.

Um, no. Not an option. My luck I'd have another 6 foot plus boy-man who eats a million calories a day with no issues. Right now I live with 3 of them, and this can really skew one's perspective on food and what's normal.

Ate the same exact food both days, everyone! So why did it cause me to gain one day and lose the next? Because (note to self, so I remember, too!) the daily scale is BAD indicator of what's going on in your body.

Ate the same exact food both days, everyone! So why did it cause me to gain one day and lose the next? Because (note to self, so I remember, too!) the daily scale is BAD indicator of what's going on in your body.

Congrats on the Loss! Like you said, it just goes to show that it's not always about what you eat it's just normal fluctuations on the scale! So happy you're moving downward....

Yes, I usually lose with TOM but it's usually at the end, not during or at the begining so this feels unusual. But I'm not complaining.

And that's awesome that you are losing fat. I wish I had one of those.

I have to say that a few minutes ago I felt my stomach and for the first time since before my pregnancy, I felt my stomach muscles! I haven't seen (felt) those in forever. I'm in awe about it. Wow. They really ARE still there they were just burried under all that jiggly stomach fat!

Feeling good and thin this morning!

That would be a nice bonus. It usually makes my TOM come every 3 weeks But it's a small price to pay for all the other benefits!! how's the scale today? Going down I'm sure .

I'm down 0.8 today, 146.6, which is lovely!! Ate out last night too. Chipotle - got the chicken over lettuce w. some pico. It's about 200cals according to their site and all good in my book!! It's been nice to find ways to keep up w. the fam while sticking to plan!! Happy . Evidently the half-n-half I've added to my coffee the past 3 days hasn't stalled me. That's the best part!! I can do anything if I get my morning coffee .

Have a great day ladies!! Happy Weekend!! Dh leaves today for MN for 10 days. That'll make eating more easy. He's a bit stumbling block to my "diet". Well meaning though he is, the kids are easier to manage. .

Happy, I haven't seen Eddie around at all lately. Maybe too much TOM talk? lol.

.6 really is NOthing! I gained like 8 lbs when I loaded this round!!!

Julie, CONGRATS on being down almost a lb. Especially since you ate out. So nice to be able to live a semi-normal life while in P2!!!

TGIF! Looking forward to the game tomorrow. Will face the scale on Sunday and do what I have to do. (Buttah I'm going to read about all the info you posted about Hunger Scale, CD's etc later tonight!!!)

Julie, congrats on your loss!

I kind of love when my family's dinner is a non-issue. I've been eating dinner at 6, while my son (the other one's away at college) can't eat until he gets back from Crew practice, which means 7:30 - I could NEVER wait that long on P2. So I sit with them, and it's fine. Luckily, my DH is wonderful and makes them their dinner (sometimes with a little help from our beloved housekeeper when she's here). He's totally supportive. And to be fair, they've just been going out to eat more - without me. Which is also totally fine. I love a chance to be in a quiet house!

Today is day one, loading today! I'm so excited to see how fast the pounds come off... It's been a hard year for me going on and off Atkins a bazillion times and Im the same weight.... I'm praying that I don't get crazy hungry ...
Does everyone eat their melba and grissini or do people skip it? I m so used to having to avoid carbs to lose....

Viola-I only added the hnh after I was stalled for 4 days and ticked . I lost the next day, which was likely just a coincidence, so I kept it. I've been losing well ever since, so in the very least it's not hurting any. And boy does it make my life happier!! And on your losses!! You're smokin' it!!

Natalie- and I'm excited for you to load!! My favorite part!! I skip the bread/grissini. It doens't really add any benefit and I've been LC for 9+ years so it doesn't make sense for me. I do enjoy my fruit twice a day. apples!!

Buttah-yep. I kinda eat alone sometimes then just visit w. the fam. Keeps their lives more "normal" and keeps me on plan. I wish dh would take the girls out. I'm never alone!! I homeschool and dh isn't really big on initiating any care of the kids on his own.

Reddy-enjoy yourself tomorrow. Relax and enjoy! You'll be fine. And congrats on getting to goal!!

Hungry!! I'll live, it's manageable, but I'm hungry. Gonna' go have lunch. Had my apple late, so I'm full blown hungry, not just a tad. Busy day, but it's all good!! Busy night planned - take dd's to vball, then drop them home and go to a small baby shower. I'm bringing veggies (lots of cucumbers) so it'll be just fine . Dh is leaving in a bit, so he's packing and running around. It's all good. 1 more week for me to see where I can get. Pretty confident I'll hit 145, but I'd really love to get lower than that and maintain up to that. KWIM?

Awesome about the Chipotle- I was looking into doing that one night for dinner too - it is good to have it in my back pocket as an option.

Also - I have been having HNH in my coffee this round too. I am just careful to only put in 1tsp per 12oz coffee. It is just enough to make me HAPPY and I don't have any issues with losing - yet any way.
