Sorry, I blabbed my news before reading any other posts.

Reddy, this is only because you are SO CLOSE to goal (and your dose issues). And we know that apple days only affect water, so clearly TOM just put back what it needed. It's not fair that womens' bodies are so "fluid" with water. We never know what's going on in there. But still... even close to 10 lbs is a lot when you're that close to goal. If you have to call it a round, you should still be very proud of what you've accomplished. There's no other way you could've lost even this much in this amount of time (short of starving, which you kind of did for a few days).

Lara, that clinic of yours? They don't know about fat vs. muscle? Must be so frustrating. I worry about fat vs. muscle constantly. I even measure mine every day with a hand held monitor. Some of what I am losing is probably muscle, but that's normal for someone my size. The second I can, I am doing more strength training, no matter what the scale says. I want a calorie-burning body!

VTmommy, welcome back and nice to meet you!

Um, Julie, the .6 after tea DOES NOT COUNT! Silly girl. You could eat lunch, then weigh again and beat yourself up even more. The scale just reflected the weight of the tea. Stop that!

Hi all....I have to do a shout out to Buttah about something. Thank you for telling us that Robin was on FB. I dont have an account but my mom does so I used hers to get some nuggets. And valuable nuggets at that! I had the best day yesterday! I made my favorite low carb stuffed peppers for DH ( really P3 food) and didn't eat a bite! I also printed the hunger scale sheet out and DS cracked me up as he read it - he has always been an intuitive eater. I don't force feed him at all. Anyway, I asked if he wanted dinner and he said no, I am at a 6 and very content. I didn't know he read the sheet! heheh Cracks me up. Anyway, I am really trying to grasp some things she wrote about food, hunger and taking responsibility. Blaming food, blaming situations. Very powerful stuff. One day I may hire her for Skype but I have a huge trip to Germany this November and all my fun tickets have to go towards that and Christmas.

Hope all of you are doing great...I feel a new kick in the pants and excited to see how I do....and even when drinking wine or traveling.

Off to the gym..have a blessed day!

The gain could be due to water retention since TOM is due today but either way I'm really bummed out.

Almost done with the round (a hard one at that) and I'm not even 10lbs below LDW??! Not what I was hoping for. I thought I'd see 12-15lb loss at least!

I assume the gain is due to TOM and probably also that I did not drink enough water yesterday... But either way I'm going to call yesterday my LID. I'm not likely to lose on my period anyway. Today and tomorrow are last VLCD and Friday will be day one of p3

Hope your scales were much more kind this morning.
I'm sorry! That's such a disappointment!! I think it's just rebound gain from the apple day. I get that from CDs which is why I've never tried an apple day. Hang in there!! and do NOT weigh (or at least count, if you do) after drinking!! That's craziness!!

Buttah-that was Reddy, not me. I know to only count the first morning weight. And for the 150's!!! Congratulations!! WTG!!! Nice job, way to hang in there !!

Lara-sounds like a good choice. I'd move on too. You've done really well. Look at the big picture. I'm not sure about losing easily on LC after P3. I didn't have any success w. that. I don't think you'd lose much muscle w. all that protein in your diet. Not sure though.

Chantel-glad Robin was helpful for you and you're reinvigorated!! I just was looking at the picture thread and saw your "after" from last year!! Very motivating!!

Shelby-count me in the "please share" group! Glad you're back in window and living life!! WTG!!

Me? I'm this morning. Up, again, not cheating at all!! I'm up to 149.6, so another 0.2-0.4 from yesterday. I ate shrimp for dinner and was at 506cals for the day. Sigh. I'm off for a walk w. dd and will just keep plugging away. I feel fine, and TOM is in full force. I sure hope it's just water, but 3 days around here while being "good" is kinda' frustrating.

Have a great day all!!

Hi Everyone! I did 2 really successful rounds earlier this year then basically went a bit crazy eating wise since July - you know weddings, holidays, summer, etc. Well I am back on HCG shots as of Sunday. I am hoping to last at least 30 days on P2 - I am not going to weigh every day - I find mentally the day to day flucuations can be rough.

I rarely eat the fruit - though I might make those apples chips tonight - I think DS would love those too - thanks for the recipe. And I never eat the grissini.

My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the time my baby is 2. I want desperatly to be back to where I was by his second birthday. I did it with DS #1 by the time he was 2.5 - but I didn't know about HCG then I was just doing Low Carb - which is great but stopped working for me after DS#2

Any how - good luck to you all. I am looking to you all for support and accountability!!

Thanks in advance everyone!

True buttah but if one cup of tea = .6lbs then I'm the pope. Come ON!

I'm over it though. I really am. It is what it is and I can't control it.

I'm going to avoid the scale for the next few days and re-assess after the baseball game.

I will obviously not be in P2 anymore but plan to check in on my friends over here and cheer you all on!

Julie, It's strange, my apple day I did last round stuck. I figure that it was just water weight and now it's being held onto from TOM. This week is going to mean icky scale so I agree, staying away from it for a few days. I just hope that when I hop back on, I'm not up some crazy number. I will ease into P3 as conservatively as possible, even watching closely what I consume at the game on Saturday. I'm SURE the alcohol is going to be what does me in. I am debating whether or not to drink red wine or vodka with Soda. I'm thinking Vodka might be a safer bet? IDK. It is what it is. Like I've said, I'm pretty content with my current body and that's what matters.I'm moody and feeling cramps today so forgive me if I'm not chipper as I should or could be!

I'm frustrated for you that you're up too! I just don't get it. I think you may be in the same situation where you're close to goal and your body doesn't want to let go. And it's holding onto those lbs for dear life. But you are sooo overdue for a nice whoosh and I"m sure if you stick in it will happen!

One cup of tea is 8 oz! One pound is 16 oz last I checked. So leaves an unaccounted .1 for your post-tea weigh in. HMMMMMMM. Your Holiness!

BTW, I've peed and lost nearly a pound. Did I lose fat? Of course not? So there. Water, water, water, water!

I guess misery loves company? I'm actually fine. I'm trying to keep it all in perspective. Yes, it's not fair and frustrating. But, we're healthy, have great families, are pretty thin (enough) and many other blessings. Thanks for co-miserating with me!! There is something cathartic to it! I'd go w. the vodka, personally. I like it better anyway. It doesn't mess w. my head the next day. And, fwiw, many actually lose after drinking. Dehydration, I think, but it may not be as bad as you think. I am sure you'll do fine. Allowing yourself to enjoy the game and food will probably keep you from binging out of a rebellious feeling. KWIM? In P3 CDs will take what little gain you have right back off and then you're on to enjoying food a lot more!! Hang in there. It's hump day!!

Nice walk w. dd. She was pokey this morning, not keeping up w. me, so I made her run occasionally. Sweating now!! . I know exercise and the scale don't get along, but I also KNOW it's good for me. If I am up, I'm up. I look and feel thinner and will not be depressed over the number on the scale. but it sure would be nice to see 145 sometime soon!

Buttah-yep, the tea would do it. I weighed myself once, then drank a water bottle, then weighed again and was up 1lb. Good lesson for me.

Lexi!! you'll do great!

Reddy, for what its worth, when I was coached, she said she never has her clients do apple days.

Julie, yes, I want to be back at that "after" for sure. I am not comfortable in my skin right now. Still too much muffin top.

Reddy, I didn't take your post as short at all. I was making a joke because you said if the tea upped your weight that much, then you're the Pope! (Hence, your holiness!)

Stevie, thanks for the shout out. Glad Robin could help. And FWIW, Robin does not believe in apple days AT ALL either.

Buttah, Congratss!!!

Julie- Sorry about the stall-- those are so frustrating.

Hi to everyone else! Crazy morning here... will check in more later, unless work blows up like it likes to

I'm down 1.2 today. Made p2 chili & the strawberry smoothie for meals today. Coffee & water thus far.

Has anyone had a CT scan on hcg? I have to drink this barium stuff (next Monday). Im sure there is weird stuff in it... maybe eliminate fruit/grissini that day? Any suggestions would be helpful. <3

Have a good day!!

Reddy -- I'm so sorry you're struggling. It's mentally hard to see yourself gaining after all of your work. If your mind is at a place where it needs a break, then call the round and don't feel guilty! Enjoy yourself at the baseball game (I love baseball games!), don't rebel binge, and take care of it later if you have to! Red wine and vodka are both good choices And YES my power is back!! Someone came by the apt yesterday to fix it. Which was awesome, because I got home at almost 8pm and was not looking forward to cooking by lantern

Julie -- If you like the exercise and you have the energy for it, do it! Eff the scale.

Lara -- You're not giving up. You did pretty much a whole round!! You completed a challenge, so feel proud. I think we get really optimistic about where we'd like to end up and where we want to be, but we kind of have to take whatever our bodies give us, ya know?

Buttah -- Congrats! I too am hoping to see the 150's eventually I'm secretly hoping for 155 on 10/1 but we'll see..I'll try to take whatever number it is in stride.

Riss -- Yup I'm not weighing myself for a while this time. I will weigh myself in P3 and I generally do weigh myself regularly, but I've been at a point lately where the weight stress is just causing me to go over the edge and setting me up for rebel binges. I'm tired of letting some numbers throw me on an emotional roller coaster, and I can't handle it right now, so I'm giving it a temporary break. My last injection day (LID, hehe) is actually exactly two weeks from today, and I'm planning to weigh a couple days before so I know what's coming, but I'm challenging myself to hold off until 10/1. Sorry for rambling!

Lexi --

Vtmommy -- back!!

Shelby -- I'm going to look up the Biz transition but would also appreciate taking a look at your plan and how it all went for you/made you feel, etc. I did like upping the fats a bit during transition this time around!

---
I can't really report on weight fluctuations so I suppose I can talk about other things I can tell I'm back on hCG because I'm already needing more sleep, I sleep more deeply, and I have crazy dreams that often include guilty food cheat dreams. Last night, I dreamt that I woke up in the middle of the night and ate a huge bowl of rice with eggs, and the whole time I was like, "Omg this isn't protocol, why am I eating this?!" Of course it wasn't real, but sometimes I briefly think it was real and freak out for a second

I'm also more regular right now..hallelujah!!

Today's menu:
B - coffee w/ toffee stevia
L - chicken breast on romaine with WF dressing, apple
D - swai (whitefish), curry cabbage, strawberry smoothie

Have a great day everyone!

Ok guys, for those who asked, here is what I did. I am praying that this "stable" period continues. Posting menus in case that's helpful as well. (Please skip if you're not interested!) I put in the weekdays that were the days that coincided with my LDW and the following. Obviously adjust the days if your LDW was a different day. On the "clean fats," those include cream, HNH, butter, olive oil and other whole oils (e.g NOT canola or corn), GY, sour cream, and avocado. NO Nuts or nut butters. I found that this gradual easing into fats was wonderful, both for my psyche and for my GI tract...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• Sunday – Day of your last dose: 500 calories
• Monday – VLCD no hCG D1: 750 calories – typical P2 menu with added clean fats*.
o 1T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 1T olive oil
o +257 calories
• Tuesday – VLCD no hCG D2: 1000 calories – typical P2 menu with added clean fats*, and you can add two eggs.
o 1 extra large egg
o 1.5T HWC
o 3T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 80g avocado
o +501 calories
Phase 3 officially begins:
• Wednesday – P3D1: 1250 calories – try to keep with a typical P2 menu, but mix your veggies, add eggs if you want, and clean fats*.
o 1 extra large egg
o 2T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 100g avocado
o 120g cooked chicken (28g extra cooked)
o 0.5T olive oil
o 150g beef 96/4 (50g extra)
o +752 calories
• Thursday – P3D2: 1500 calories – again, try to keep with a typical P2 menu, mix veggies, add eggs if desired, increase your protein to around 8-10 oz for the day, and clean fats*.
o 2 extra large eggs
o 2T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 100g avocado
o 150g cooked chicken (28g extra cooked)
o 1T olive oil
o 200g 96/4 ground beef (100g extra)
o +1009 calories
• Friday – P3D3: 1750 calories. This is where you can start adding some different proteins, fruits, and veggies. Be careful about adding fats that are not considered “clean”; cheeses and nut or nut butters. Those should wait until you are much further into P3 than just the first few days.
o 2 extra large eggs
o 4 slices low sodium bacon
o 2T HWC
o 4T HNH
o 2T blue cheese dressing
o 100g avocado
o 150g cooked chicken (28g extra cooked)
o 1T olive oil
o 200g 96/4 ground beef (100g extra)
o +1169 calories + ~100 more calories of veggies/fruit/protein
Thanks for posting that Shelby! I likely won't be able to follow the P3 part because my parents are looking to visit that weekend..but I can definitely try to keep it clean and not dive headfirst into a container of nut butter
Reddy, this is only because you are SO CLOSE to goal (and your dose issues). And we know that apple days only affect water, so clearly TOM just put back what it needed. It's not fair that womens' bodies are so "fluid" with water. We never know what's going on in there. But still... even close to 10 lbs is a lot when you're that close to goal. If you have to call it a round, you should still be very proud of what you've accomplished. There's no other way you could've lost even this much in this amount of time (short of starving, which you kind of did for a few days).
Lara, that clinic of yours? They don't know about fat vs. muscle? Must be so frustrating. I worry about fat vs. muscle constantly. I even measure mine every day with a hand held monitor. Some of what I am losing is probably muscle, but that's normal for someone my size. The second I can, I am doing more strength training, no matter what the scale says. I want a calorie-burning body!
VTmommy, welcome back and nice to meet you!
Um, Julie, the .6 after tea DOES NOT COUNT! Silly girl. You could eat lunch, then weigh again and beat yourself up even more. The scale just reflected the weight of the tea. Stop that!
They arent familiar at the clinic with the protocol even though I told them about where to find the manuscript. I dont really talk with them about it much anymore now that my favorite Med Assistant who worked there is gone. Even the doctor was clueless and the info that he got from me was probably more than he knew about the deal. He doesnt have that many patients on hcg,.. more like phentermine which I detest.
LaraSuzz, I get clinics or doctors not being familiar with the protocol, but any clinic involved with weight loss/health not being familiar with the discrepancy between losing fat vs. losing muscle mass? That, I don't get! Must be frustrating for you. At least you have us?
WOE: Homeopathic HCG Drops & HCG Diet
Start Date: September 2012
I feel like I'm the only person who is hungry on HCG!
Hello,
I'm a newbie to this website & I actually joined so I could get some help. I've been on the HCG drops and P2 diet for 7 days now and I am not just hungr, but, ravenous!! My fiance is over twice my size (he started at 380 lb), started the same time as me and eating only 500 calories a day & he's doing great! I've lost about 5 lb and he's lost about 12 lb in the 7 days so far. We are both taking drops from the same bottle/company, so, why am I so hungry?! All the time, too! I drink my recommended amount of water 80 oz plus some and drink 2 glasses of green tea, space my meals ans snacks and drops out well, but, I actually have severe hunger pains and I feel like I'm starving all the time & my fiance feels fine!
I don't know what else to do! I have a physical job so I've tried increasing my meat portions & servings to 3 times a day last night, and today I gained 0.6 lb and I stalled the day before that! I feel like crying a lot lately because everyone else I know who's on the diet said their hunger went away after 2-3 days! I was hoping this diet was going to help as want to lose another 45 lb, but, I'm soo confused and frustrated! If anyone has any ideas what is going on with me please share your info. Thank you all in advance!
Hcg and reshaping
Hello everyone and esp Dawn,
I haven't been on here in an age but am doing pretty well. I have been playing around with my diet and seem to have put on two pesky pounds that want to set up housekeeping and flirting with becoming three pounds. I am going to start hcg on Friday to do a little housekeeping of my own just to see if I could get down a little past my lowest weight. Probably will do a reshaping round and a little detox at the same time. I think maybe the time is right just before all the holidays begin. I always feel great on hcg. I think that maybe I didn't stablize well after my last round in April.
I plan to do just the 21 days and then see where I'm at. Kind of excited to be doing this again.
I will def be keeping a copy of your transition plan to use when the 21 days are up!!
Could anyone tell me why my new pic won't show up in the boards? I have one that is much better and shows my weight loss.
Mary - welcome. Quick Question tell me about your plan to Detox while on P2. I did a detox diet/cleanse right before I found hcg and thought is was great (I just didn't lose weight). So now that I am old pro with hcg I have been thinking about incorporating some of those detox things. For instance, today I substituded a Kombucha for a fruit. Also, thinking about doing a detox bath and will probably take Mag Citrate tonight.
Shelby, I like your transition it's very efficient, leaves no guessing. I'm at 163.4 today up .2 lbs. I am messing with too much sugar free stuff. Set me free from sugar free. I'm having a planned interruption day for DH birthday saturday. He doesn't know we have tickets to the philly's game whoo hoo
OMG I typed a bunch of stuff and it disappeared. my new goal is 134. can it happen? I've been in denial too long but after looking at my photos in bra and underwear, I went, this needs to change. These are going to be weekly bra and underwear progress pics. It's painful to look at them and to start them, but it has to be done to light a fire under my butt. I miss YOU GUYS~! I need more breakthroughs and the stick to it ness to go further and not give up!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!
Welcome Foxy - I don't take the drops, but from all of my reading on the site, usually when you are hungry it is because you are taking in too much hcg. I do the shots, and I have seen it recommeded that when you are hungry like that to skip a dose, then lower your dose.
Hoping someone with drops expericence can chime in for you.
I know with me - when I feel hungry now it is either Mental hunger or right before a meal.
