few more questions
So I'm on day 2 of loading and I've been wondering about how you all do your dosing. This morning I took my thyroid meds/sublingual B12 first thing since that's what I'm used to doing when I wake up. Then I wasn't sure if I could immediately take the pellets. I waited about 30 minutes then took the first dose and began cooking breakfast. As I had the pellets I took note of the time but then I wondered if the 20 minute wait before food and drink is from the time you first put the pellets in or the time they completely dissolve? Also, is there a minimum amount of time between doses. Yesterday I didn't take the first dose until around noon, then took the next one around 5, and the last one right before bed.
Also, I'm trying to figure out how to work in my other supplements. I'm not even sure what additional ones I need to add. I usually take my thyroid meds/sublingual B12 first thing. Then I take my multivitamin and calcium right before bed. I know biotin was recommended and there's a small amount in my B12 pellet but I'm not sure if it's enough. I was also wondering about iron b/c I've had to take that in the past and someone indicated they had to take it while doing this plan. Someone recommended magnesium and potassium. I've had to take magnesium in the past for leg cramps but I still need to get some potassium. What dosages of supplements do you all usually take while doing hcg? Thanks in advance for the help in figuring this out Last edited by riss; 09-08-2012 at 10:41 AM.. |

I take my hcg pellets when I wake up first when I have to go to the bathroom (usually around 4:30 or so) then when I get up I take my thyroid meds. But this round I have had to switch that around. When I wake up at 4:45AM I take my thyroid meds, shower, get ready for work and then take the pellets at 6 AM when I get to work. Then I take my second dose anywhere between 2PM and 5PM. My last dose is anywhere between 8PM and 10PM. Just depends on what I am doing and when I can get them in when I am not drinking or eating. So my schedule is NOT the same everyday. Guess I didn't help you very much did I? LOL.
I take the minimum supplements I can get away with while on P2. I usually end up taking vitamin C, digestive enzymes (my doc wants me to take them), potassium, cinnamon. I ONLY take them with meals, so I don't get them in 3 times a day like I usually do. I have 8 potassium pills in 1 day (4 at each meal). I find that dose keeps the leg cramps at bay. I don't do biotin as I don't have any hair issues. I don't do calcium either--my doc said she didn't want me to. I also don't do a multi while on plan. You will know once you start what you need and what you can cut out. I don't want my supplements getting in the way of me losing weight. If you search through this forum, you will find tons of threads on supplements that others are taking while on P2. Here are just a few: Supplements Supplements: What do you feel is important? Additional Supplement on P2? That should give you a few ideas!

Oh, I forgot to tell you about the pellets. I put the pellets in and since they take some time to dissolve, I count 20 mins from the time I first put them in my mouth. Then after the 20 mins, I start drinking/eating.
