LOL! I feel ya. Are you doing blue cheese dressing? I decided to add a little fat today (basically like your day yesterday) in the form of bulletproof coffee and another coffee with hwc. I was practically freaking out over the awesomeness. I wouldn't mind that for breakfast every day! I'd like to pick up some MCT oil and play with that as well. Meals yesterday and today were/are still P2. I like that we're on the same schedule!

I usually use Marie's Blue Cheese--yummers! It's a little thick for my taste so I actually split the jar in half and dilute it with a jar of no-sugar salsa. Today I had an organic no-sugar dressing--I think it was the artichoke parmesan. In any case, better than WF or chicken broth!
![]() Cocoa - yes, I just about freaked over the awesomeness of coffee yesterday as well. Happy to be marching along with you, my friend! ![]() |

What is this bulletproof coffee you chicas speak of?
STARVING! I had GY for breakfast, will have steak and broccoli or cauliflower for dinner. Thought of making it a CD day, and I may.. I just feel like some cruciferous veggies on the grill. |

Google bulletproof coffee for more instructions but basically get UNSALTED high-quality butter (like Kerrygold). Melt 1-2T in a cup (I added 2T for 16oz of coffee). Add a small amount of hot high-quality brewed coffee and whir together with a milk frother or other small hand blender. Add the rest of the coffee and enjoy. For added energy and appetite suppression, add 1T of MCT oil to the butter before whizzing up. You seriously don't even need cream.
![]() Oh and as far as that "starving" thing goes, this coffee kept me satisfied until about 2:30pm yesterday, even with skating 16 miles before noon.

Day 15 of P3. Doing well so far. Have been eating protein and some carbs. Some days more, some less. No sugar, no starch.
This is my 5th round and the only round that I haven't had to do one single CD! (so far, knock on wood, etc.) My "coach" did tell me to utilize the 2 eggs, steak for lunch and dinner with a portion of cheese idea from pounds and inches if I started rapidly gaining. So I did and viola...I wish this was my last round because I know it doesn't always go this smoothly. She also told me the first few days to basically eat small portions of protein all day long to get the body more protein. So far it has worked wonders, because I usually do 20,000,000 correction days during P3 and P4. |

Today is the first official P3 day but I'ma goin' SLOOOOOOOW into P3. More meat today, more fats, total of 1250 calories. Please please let this work...

Well, I was down a pound to 162 this morning. Considering that it's the lowest I've been this round, and pretty much back to my previous LIW, I'll take it!! I think my body is liking the fats, which is not surprising..it usually does
With bulletproof coffee and another coffee w/ HWC, my breakfast is about 300 cals of fat! And I'm totally okay with it. My grandma is staying with me for the week though, and she has obviously been brainwashed by the mainstream "fat is bad, calories are bad" camp, so she's NOT okay with it.. She watched me putting butter in my coffee this morning very suspiciously. It was like:her: "Isn't that butter a lot of calories?" me: "Well, I guess." her: "Why do you need so many calories? You've worked really hard to get skinny, you're going to ruin it." me: "No I'm not. Fat is good for me." her: "Good for you how? Because you like it?" me: "No. Well, I do like it, but it's also good for the body. I know you won't believe me, so just go with it!" her: *grumbles and shakes head* Then 10 minutes later, she tells me that she read our horoscopes and mine said that I should keep cooking and enjoying my food because it makes me happy..how appropriate! I said, "SEE, MY HOROSCOPE LIKES MY COFFEE!!!" I'll probably never convince her that fat isn't bad, which makes me sad, but what can ya do? The government makes things hard sometimes. Shelby -- I have a good feeling about your transition. You're rocking it so far!! Just try to play it relatively safe this weekend where you can, and I think you'll be okay. Dbuns (yeah I just nicknamed your nickname) -- That stuff is good! I have a jar of TJ's almond butter sitting in my fridge right now and I know it's my first day of interruption but I want to nibble at it! I should do one new thing at a time though..blah. Hehe. Have a GREAT day today y'all! ![]()

Yeah, a new thread! I am day 7 into P3. Everything is going great. Yeah!
I am eating to hunger or stopping a little before full. Lots of yummy fats, protein, and low carb veggies. I am happily in my window, even below my LDW many days. I wanted to share on of my absolute favorite meals. I have this often for lunch. It is incredible. Grilled Chicken Salad - Chipotle seasoned, grilled chicken breast strips, romaine hearts, vine ripened tomato, English cucumber, orange bell pepper, purple onion slivers, hard boiled egg, avocado, olives, bacon bits, blue cheese crumbles, ˝ ounce raw sharp cheddar cheese and blue cheese dressing. This is a beautiful salad. Just small amounts of everything, but the combination of them are unbelievably rich, creamy and satisfying. Everyone have a great day! Angie |

That salad sounds delish!
I so want to do a round right now, but am trying to hold out. I need to get down about 10 - 12 pounds and want to do it without Hcg. Ugh. I have cast iron willpower in P2, but trying to just do Atkins induction/P3 is HARD! What the hay, horse? |

Up a little today to exactly LIW so that is just fine. 1250 calories or a little more yesterday. 1500 today. Enjoying the fats and the bulletproof coffee is da BOMB! Preparing for the weekend ahead as I will be out of town for a charity event. I will be bringing pre-cooked chicken breast, pre-cooked burger patties, hb eggs, bacon, apples, celery, pickles, pickled okra and cucumbers. There will be wine (!) but bringing my own food should be safe enough and given that I have JUST come off of a round, I am really going to try and do this as a wine "tasting" as opposed to a wine "drinking" event! I hate trying to rely on other people feeding me!

Hey all!
I'm up today to 164.2, which is LIW+0.6 or +2.2 from yesterday's 162, however I want to look at it I guess I'm not sure if I treat an interruption exactly like P3, so I'm not as focused on the window as I am on just maintaining in general. I do know why though..let's just say I got into the almond butter last night I'm at peace with my dietary retaliation against deprivation, and I'm sure I can get it off with some clean eating, so I'm not too worried. I think it could have been much worse (especially with all the Oreo talk in another thread.. ) At least my intense daydream-about-chocolate sugar cravings have subsided! (For now!)I'll keep you posted on how the weight goes, of course. Lara -- You can so do it! You may even just need one steak day. The bulletproof coffee is pretty filling, so it'll be especially helpful if you feel like your steak was a little small Dbuns -- I feel like that sometimes too. It's easy when you have very strict, specific rules, because it puts you in a certain mindset..but once you get to a place where you can justify twisting things around a bit, the mindset changes, and sometimes it gets complicated! It goes from "I can't do that, not an option" to "Oh, I really shouldn't, but it's technically okay.." which is a whole different mental ballgame. Shelby -- Girl, you got a plan! Save me some pickled okra! ![]() |

Hello all,
I haven't been on the forum in weeks. I've felt guilty about that as if I had been avoiding someone I didn't want to break up with face to face so I decided to just ignore them in hopes they'd get the hint LOL NOT saying I want to end this relationship though!!! I'm happy to be back and to see the same people still sticking with it! I've been doing really good staying near my LDW, I have to do CD's every so often but when I do have a steak day I modify it slightly so I'm not starving for most of the day. I feel I don't need to follow such a strict regimen now that I know what my body likes and how it seems to be working. For once something like this is actually working for me!! It feels good. I even find myself craving veggies or just not being hungry at all which are 2 things I'm not completely used to. I no longer eat when I'm bored!! Now Halloween always gets me... every year we buy lots of candy, mainly because we eat a couple boxes of those little bars before the middle of October! This year I told my DBF that we are buying treats WE don't like, I said I DO NOT want to fall victim to the sugar this year! Glad to be back. |

Bullet Proof Coffee is da Bomb! I'm having my first ever right now- yummy!!
I've been making my own butter and buttermilk for years- it's so easy! I refuse to pay the prices the grocer asks for high quality butter. It takes about 10 minutes and is a great work-out for your upper arms, too! ![]() 1. Fill a mason jar halfway with heavy cream (baby food jars work great for small batches), and screw the lid on tight. I like to use organic raw cream but, HWC works just fine!! 2. Shake the jar up and down until the cream thickens and forms a fairly solid ball. 3. Then, open the jar, and pour the liquid into another container; this is the buttermilk. Everything else is butter. 4. Finally- knead the butter under cold running water for several minutes to work out any remaining buttermilk (otherwise the butter will spoil quickly). Pressed for time- you can also do this in a food processor. Pour the cream in and let it whir for about 10 minutes! That's it!! ![]() |

my steak day experiment
I did an experiment with my steak days... the first one I didnt have anything but water all day no soda large steak and tomatoes... I lost 2.8
unfortunately I gained 2 back the next day lol... the very next day I did the same steak day with tomatoes but this time I had two diet squirts with dinner and only lost 1 lb... so maybe if you do a steak day no diet drinks?? ![]() still 1.4 over but heck thats not bad right? it will be gone by next week anyways. loading one day, Sunday then vlcd for 3 weeks..and done for 2012 Lara

Bulletproof coffee
Happychick.....Do you drink the bulletproof coffee for breakfast alone or do you eat a regular breakfast (eggs, bacon) along with it. I have tried to find this info on their website but I have been unsuccessful. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi Nancy!
Today is Day 3 of a fat fast for me- I've shown a decent loss over the past two days but realized that I was getting too much protein. I'm shooting for 85-95% fat today- so, no- I didn't have a regular breakfast. As a matter of fact- the BP coffee satiated me too well.. I looked at the clock around 3pm and realized I still wasn't hungry; not good since I'm shooting for 1000 calories today! ![]() I'm seriously considering having another BP coffee.. ![]() |

Where in the world do you girls come up with all this stuff BP Coffee
OH MY goodness .I have a question.... the Smart Carb #2 Cinnamon Raisin 1 Carb bread says on it that it is COMPLETE PROTEIN, 13gm of fiber and 14g Protein. Could you count it as a Protein or does it have to be counted as a starch? I am guessing a starch but hoping protein ![]() |

Are you adding Coconut Oil to yours? I used my homemade butter and I added a TBS of my Nutiva Organic CO (that's an additional 130 cals- 14g of fat!) So, my BP coffee's are adding up to just about 330 cals at approx 35g fat. |

The Smart Carb bread question:
I always thought that fiber carbs don't count so- seems to me, you can count it as a protein. A serving of Smart Carb bread has less carbs than melba or grisini, right? |

Hi all!
I've been CRAZY busy lately, oh my gosh.. ![]() I'm in P4 still but it's basically P3. My normal 'woe' is low carb anyways, sometimes I'll have an occasional corn tortilla and chips with mexican food but that's about it. I've pretty much stabilized 2 lbs above LDW which works for me. I've had a couple CDs here and there but I think they were just needed because of TOM and/or too much sodium. I'm also back to the gym now which is nice I hope everyone is doing well, I hope to have more time to stay up to date with all ya'll!! ![]()
