Shelby--I find that when I eat out at restaurants I am bloated from the additives they use in the food. It happens every time I am in P3, I eat perfectly P3 foods, but still gain. I find that when I drink coconut water the very next day, I am back down the next day. It helps with the sodium/potassium ratio in our bodies. Biz talks about this at length and encourages us to keep our sodium/potassium ratio in check. She even tells you how to prepare for eating out by having potassium/sodium foods earlier in the day, like at lunch if you are going out at dinner, to get a handle on things if you eat out at night. I think that would help with any gains. The coconut water really helps me pee out any gains I have even from overindulging. I am using it in my P3s and it really does help. Just a cup a day.

I use chromium pic specifically for the blood sugar. My doc wants me on it. I take it with lunch! I am also using some cinnamon capsules for the blood sugar--supposed to be very good for that!! I hope you can use some of these ideas.

Well, folks, here is a VERY interesting thing. So after my nice loss back into my window yesterday with a day that was 80% fat (carbs and protein both 10%), I decided to experiment a little bit and do exactly the same thing yesterday. The only thing I did differently was that I ate fish for lunch instead of dinner and beef for dinner. I also had a little mayo with my beef but slightly less butter on my veg. And guess what? At 3120 calories, I was down ANOTHER pound. Now, I know this isn't real fat weight. I'm just dumping the water weight from over the weekend. But I find this very interesting as I've seen less success with cd's lately. Eating like this sure seems to agree with my body! Anyway, I think I don't really need to eat a cup of heavy cream every day but I might keep following up my cd's with a couple of days like this to see if it helps with stabilization. Oh, and I can say that I am comfortably back in my window with a pound to spare!

I have been lurking for months. I think you guys are great. I have a question regarding the fast fast correction day. I have done the fat fast with mac nuts over the three-day period, three times. It has worked out wonderfully. I am can't seem to carve out the three-day period at this time. Do you think it is work doing the fat fast for only one day?

Hi everyone, P3 D1 whoop whoop! Down .8 this am and that makes me even more thrilled to have made the transition. I hate the slow down of P2 week 3 and I knew it was trying to rear its ugly head.

Hi Reddy!! I'm having coffee and eggs too! Made a pork roast last night keeping it meaty lol.

Hi Shelby!!! Cocoa!! Dawn!!! and all... so happy to be here.

Lara that's awesome! So nice to have some wiggle room right?

I'm thinking I'll have a Cobb salad or something like that for lunch today and maybe a steak for dinner!

I think it's worth a shot. Follow it up with a couple of clean P3 days and you should be good.

Shelby-thanks for sharing! How far into P3 are you? I did great all through P3 last time. It was in P4, which really wasn't much different, that I got up and couldn't lose it again. I wonder if it was the exercise for me. But eating the same foods I had been inP3 and I couldn't get it back down. I'll remember your high fat recovery plan when I eventually need it. .

Excited for Reddy and Lara! Jealous a bit too. Can't complain, feel fine, satisfied and not even bored (yet). Just would rather have fat .

See ya next week P3 ers!

You're almost there!! And you're having your cream anyway so that's good!!!

So far for my First P3 day I had coffee with cream, 2 scrambled eggs with a bit of smoked gouda cheese, a grilled chicken cobb salad from Panera and a few sugar free mocha almonds. Hope I didn't over do it with all of that. Dinner will probably be steak and a salad. Tomorrow I'll likely have a burger or jimmy johns (no bread) for Lunch and then the game is that evening.

Buttah, I get them at Fresh Market. They are sooo good. They have SF Choc Covered Espresso Beans, Almonds, and then Mocha Almonds. So yummy.

Julie, the game was... FUN. I earned myself a whopping 4.6 lbs from it!

I started off with the best of intentions... had a cesear salad, some prime rib, creamed spinach...not bad choices right? Yeah, well as the alcohol took a hold of me (and boy did it!) I indulged in way more food and terrible choices including funnel cake, banana cake, Popcorn... ugh. I deserve every oz. I do believe that it will go back down with a few days of Clean P3 eating so I'm not going to stress too much.

I have quite the hangover this morning (it's not even morning it's noon now )

Off to check the other threads and see how everyones doing!

Hi all! Well, I've been having a lovely weekend and doing very well staying on top of "non-hungry" eating. Had a lovely day yesterday with some girlies celebrating a very belated birthday. Brunch at an outdoor French bistro, champagne and an uber dry Cab Sauv rose. All dressed up and looking sexy, the four of us! Then we came back to my house, got comfy and grilled some fabulous yellowfin tuna steaks and asparagus. (I think I am FINALLY getting over the slight aversion that I developed to asparagus over the course of the last few rounds... ) Woke up to a lovely surprise of almost a pound down on the scale and only 0.3 over LDW which NEVER happens when I drink! I may see a bounceback tomorrow but being so close to LDW is aweome and give me a bit of wiggle room if I do pop up a little. Went and did errands this morning and I have sage and rosemary chicken thighs in the oven right now for food this week. I think I will bake or grill a trip-tip later so I will have plenty of go-to food. And maybe, just maybe, I'll get to see the dude later???

Everyone have a fantastic and relaxing Sunday!

Shelby your day yesterday sounds LOVELY! And congrats on being DOWN despite a little bubbly! Rosemary Chicken sounds really yummy! I want that now lol!!!

So I just posted in the Labor Day thread about this but would certainly love your input.

As I posted above, I over indulged (Big time) last night and I was up 4.6 this morning!!!! Yes 4.6. That's what I get for cheating on Day 2 of P3!!!

So I didn't do a CD today but I'm thinking I should tomorrow. Would you agree? And if so what type of CD? Steak day? I never had to do a CD in my last P3.... so I'm not sure exactly how to approach this. I just know I want it to go away!

Correcting sooner rather than later is always best so I would say tomorrow for sure. As far as which cd to do, there is a list in the short form. Dawn recommends the steak day. I have others that work better for me and that I like better because I don't have to fast all day. Up to you! Good luck and fingers crossed for stabilization!

Shelby which CDs are your favorite?

Reddy--I don't ever split my steak day into 2 servings. But others have done so. I don't know if you get better results by sticking with one serving or 2, so I cannot advise to that. Only that Simeon's directs us to not eat til dinnertime. Doesn't hurt that I put my dinner time ahead by an hour or 2 on steak days, though LOL. And the only way I can get through a steak day is having coffee with cream---3 times a day!! Love that!! Now that I have answered your questions about the steak day, I will tell you MY favorite CD. I love the greek yogurt day!! It is my favorite. I love greek yogurt and strawberries. Absolutely love it so much I can have that all day and still have it again the next!!! A close second is the egg day---I love eggs!!! And you can have them so many ways.

And I know what Shelby will say....her favorite---chicken thigh day!! But that never worked for me. So you will find what works best for you.

Hmm... Egg day would probably be my 1st choice only b I love eggs! Can you put cheese in the eggs? An maybe mayo to make egg salad?

I dont know If I could do a steak day where I can't eat all day!!! But I could try it I suppose.

I feel like I remember reading that egg days don't work for everyOne. But that is the one that seems the most doable to me bc I love eggs!

Yes, you can add a bit of mayo. I love egg salad and deviled eggs. A bit of cheese for scrambled eggs would be OK too. How can you go wrong eating 10-12 eggs a day? You certainly won't go hungry on that! What I have noticed about the egg day is that I don't lose the day after an egg day. BUT I DO lose the day after my day after my egg day Does that make any sense We call it the 2 day effect--when I do the egg day I see the release a day late. So it still works, just not right away.

Interesting Dawn!!!

I think I may go for a steak day this time just to get it off quickly.

Maybe do an Egg day if I need another CD in the future.

I just had a modified P2 Chilli but I ate too much. (So much for eating to hunger) I made it with some oil and added cheese but I should have stopped eating when I felt full. Now I just feel stuffed.

I hate that feeling!

Hi all. I'm doing well on my 3rd day of p3. Although I had a bug bite and my leg is all swollen and red. Very strange, dunno what hapened. Also my glands are swollen too... if this dosent go away I will have to go to the dr.

Reddy try the steak day with a tomato! it works for me in fact its the only cd that works for me.

Well I told my bestie that it wasnt gonna happen with me and he called my girlfriend and started hanging out with her. She didnt tell me either until i brought it up and so now the both of them can take a hike. So much for having friends. They are perfect for each other.

How's the steak day going Reddy? Dawn was totally right--I do chicken thigh day regularly. I don't know if you saw that I posted that I've noticed better luck following up my cd's with super high fat days? I've done it a couple of times the last few weeks and it seems to make the cd's stick better. I think I am hitting about 80% fat on those days. I posted it around here somewhere. For sure on the Trailblazers thread, anyway.

Lara - sorry to hear about the drama. Ugh!

Dawn - Are you hanging in there, kid?

As for me, my Sunday turned into kind of a non-fun day. Didn't end up hooking up with the dude yesterday and I HATE waiting around for these guys to call/write/text! It drives me just bananas! (mmmmmm...bananas! )

Anyway, I started having a little pity party for myself yesterday and instead of a regular dinner ate leftover almonds (probably about a half cup), cheese (probably about 6 oz), and strawberry HWC mousse. Followed up by a couple of glasses of red wine and three small squares of 85% chocolate. Not exactly the most balanced dinner around! I didn't eat when not hungry and I didn't eat past full and I certainly could have made worse choices but I didn't feel good about WHAT I was eating, iykwim.

In any case, I didn't weigh today and probably won't until Wednesday or so. I am going to shoot for a couple of super clean days, high fat, until then. P4 officially starts Wednesday or Thursday but I doubt I'll be adding too many carbs back--they just aren't part of my lifestyle anymore. The biggest thing I miss is beans and since I am heading back to Isla Mujeres (Mexico) next weekend, I'll probably have some of those while I'm there. Otherwise, ceviche every day sounds amazing!

I'm looking forward to getting the heck out of dodge. Away from all stress, work-related, boy-related, etc.

Hope everyone else is well. Who is lurking out there? Did we loose Dbunny?

Lara, I'm sorry to hear about that. Some people we think are our "friends" really aren't and it's always hard to realize that. Clearly this guy wasn't the right one for you. Sorry hun!

Shelby, I bet you would have been ok on the scale but prob best not to weigh and get yourself down if it were up a bit. Waiting for a guy to call is the hardest thing b/c you want to reach out to them but realize you shouldn't. Sorry your day didn't turn out so hot yesterday.

So the steak day is... going. I haven't eaten anything today. Well I had one coffee with cream this morning and then I've been drinking tea and water. I'm hungry but it's surprisingly manageable. Just sent my hubby out to get me the biggest steak he can find. (I'm allowed to have as big a steak as I want right?)

My grandmother (93) is in the hospital right now so I'm going to drive down to Miami tomorrow to see her. Leaving my son and my husband here. I really hope she's going to be ok, but its' hard to know and I want to see her. Traveling may make being on plan challenging but I'll figure it out. So I'm going to leave tomorrow morning. I will probably come home on Thursday (can't leave DS and hubby that long) And hopefully she'll be stable and out of the hospital by then.
