HCG & low blood sugar

From what I understand (and I'm almost completely ignorant on the topic) the HCG diet consists of taking HCG supplements of whatever form, and eating 500 calories a day - it looks like there's fasting at some point - and I have low blood sugar. I've tried to fast before, and it never ends well, lol... Anyone on here with low blood sugar & success with HCG?

There's no fasting in protocol. It's something some of us have chosen to do on our own accord.

Thanks, Mandy! I've been skimming through the threads, and clearly there are a LOT of books and guides and videos and whatnot - is there one simple concise source of info that I can read, or am I doomed to extensive research... ? Thanks!

There ya go. There's a lot of differing opinions and advice, but there's only ONE simeons protocol. Stick to it and you will lose amazingly.

Thanks!

The absolute most important thing to read is Pounds & Inches by Dr. Simeons.

You can download it for free. I don't think I can link it here. But if you have trouble one of us can get it to you.

Thank you! I bet I can find it at the library. I'm reading the short form page now - Very interesting!!

You can find Pounds & Inches online if you search it.

Thanks - I'm an old geek & only like to read books I can hold in my hands.. LOL

It's honestly more like a short manual.

The truly most important info on this site is in weight loss apocalypse. Gives a reason for all the protocol rules and why you should follow them and the true science behind them.

I have low blood sugar issues and this was a concern for me when I started hhCG. Immediately before my first round (less than a week), I had a low blood sugar episode, complete with crying jag, biting the heads off co-workers, and migraine headache, not necessarily in that order! :D I was pretty concerned about the 500 calories but decided to try it anyway. I never experienced a low blood sugar episode in any of my rounds and in fact haven't experienced one SINCE doing my rounds. This is one way that I know for SURE that hhCG isn't a placebo--if it were, I would have been having those radical blood sugar swings--and I wasn't. I've lost 70 pounds on h/hCG and am so thankful that I found it.

Just wanted to add the same experience. I have the inherited form of hypoglycemia, and never had an issue on any rounds. And must agree...cannot do fasting cause of low blood sugar and glad the protocol never required it!

.... And another one with the same story. Hypoglycemic, shaky icky all my life if I missed a meal. During hcg treatment.... GONE. In fact mostly have to be reminding myself to eat. I get hungry sometimes at meal times, sure, but it's not bad. My first week, in detox from sugar and carbs etc, about the 4th or 5th day in, I did get a little shaky but I was fine. And now, HARDLY EVER have that issue, even months and months of maintaining. If I have to skip a meal or more I am no longer afraid.
