A Word About Apples

It has occurred to me that many may not have seen this years release of the "Dirty Dozen"- foods that have come in with the highest levels of pesticide residue. Unfortunately, conventionally grown apples top the list!

Since apples are one of the mainstays of the HCG protocol, daily and during apple days, it might be wise to choose only organically grown. In other news, we should also be aware that apples are one of the next crops on the list to be genetically modified (GMO).. hopefully, that doesn't come to fruition!

Here's the recap on WebMD. The original report is also available online.

I buy organic apples for this very reason!

I keep the dirty dozen list in my phone and that is the produce I buy organic. I buy everything else conventional to save money.

I wish they would stop the GMOs! It's a bell that can never be unrung and it's scary!
