other diets

I have just lossed 53 lbs doing weight watchers. However I wanted to lose more weight faster and learned about the HCG diet. I am three days into this program and have already losed 7 1/2 pounds. My question is a simple one, when I am done with the protocol of the HCG diet can I continue to lose weight slower with Weight watchers?

Susan -- that's a great question, and I don't think any of us knows the answer, exactly. Many of us have found it difficult to lose any other way after hcg -- though a few have managed to do it.

Wishing you good luck with your round!

I'll also add that it is NOT recommended to lose weight for the first three weeks after your P2. The point of P3 is stabilization and that includes not going outside of your window on the low end (purposefully, anyway) either.

From Pounds & Inches (assuming you've read it???)...he is discussing the period of three weeks after your course of vlcd's...

Losing more Weight
An ex-patient should never gain more than two pounds without immediately correcting this, but it is equally undesirable that more than two lbs. be lost after treatment, because a greater loss is always achieved at the expense of normal fat. Any normal fat that is lost is invariably regained as soon as more food is taken, and it often happens that this rebound overshoots the upper two lbs. limit.
