Thanks, Girls!

I'll give it until tomorrow to see what happens, but will run to the store and get some nice fresh apples! And, a steak! And, then decide between the two. (heehee- hmmm. That's gonna be a tough choice since I love a good steak! =)

Lara, I wouldn't worry about the water thing- apples have lots and plus, you are allowed to drink to quench thirst. I wonder if making apple sauce with the six apples would work??

Lara - I've been lucky enough to not need either one (knock wood!) but I have heard that people have good luck with it jumpstarting their weight loss. Same goes for an all protein day--just leave out everything except for the protein. If you are feeling peaky though, I would definitely recommend the steak day, especially as I know how rough this diet can be on protein levels and iron.

ETA: I don't think that you NEED to fast all day. You can probably do two burgers or portions of steak throughout the day.

And YES, it was a very nice date. Not sure if there is LT potential there, but man, he was YUMMY! It's nice to have a very attractive man find me very attractive too! (Sorry Eddie! )

Whew this thread is hoppin' this morning!! I LIKE it.

Shelby -- You need a red leather jacket to go with those boots, my dear!

Lara -- I think the not drinking water on an apple day thing has to do with the apple fiber absorbing some extra water in the body and getting rid of it. I haven't done one where I drank lots of water still, so I'm not sure what the difference would be. Also, not that I don't believe you, but you definitely don't look 41

HappyChick -- Haha that does sound like a crazy thing! I had heard about hCG before but mentally dismissed it as a dumb thing. Then, I decided to try it at a local clinic that offered it when I got a coupon to go there for a body wrap. Go figure! I decided to take a chance since I was in a bad place with food and dieting at that particular time. I was in a bad eating streak and feeling awful about myself. I'm so glad I gave it a shot!! I even befriended my favorite medical assistant and went to her birthday party, she was way cool.

Eddie -- Nice loss!! You're already on your way. Rock it!

Manders -- I love when that happens, haha! Be proud, you're so pretty! Sometimes when I look at old pics of myself from high school and early college, then look at myself in the mirror now, I can hardly believe it myself. Improving and bettering oneself is one of the joys of life, imo! Even if some of it is totally a vanity thing

--
Well, after two senna tea bags at work in the afternoon and two more last night after dinner, I finally cleared out a bit, if you know what I mean! Lost 1.8 pounds from it, as I thought I might. Now I'll hold off on weighing till Saturday

I cooked up some lean steak and tilapia filets last night so I've got those in addition to my chicken, yay! I also got a bulk box of chicken broth (thanks Shelby!! ) and discovered bulk bags of shredded cabbage, spinach, and salad greens..food will get interesting now I also miss coconut oil and salt on my greens (one of my favorite ways to eat salad actually), but discovered last night that if I use coconut oil cooking spray (0 calories!) and salt on my greens, I can get a similar taste. I was so happy!!

Have a great Tuesday!

Eddie- you did great on your PI!! Mine was about the same and fortunately, dropped off within a couple of days when back on protocol. Good job!!

Also, wanted to share this little ditty with ya.. I have a good friend who belongs to a pretty big MC down here in SC. One day, while on Facebook, I saw a post on his wall about hCG and how he lost 25 pounds so--- of course I clicked on the link. It was a site selling hhCG. I decided to do some more research on the internet before I purchased- that's how I found this place and it was the beginning of my hhCG journey.

I saw him last week and he said: "Wow- you look great!" And, I was like- "It's all your fault!!" He was completely perplexed when I gushed on and on about how if it weren't for his post I would have brushed hCG off as another diet gimmick.... imagine my surprise when he said: "What the hell is hCG?" He and a couple of his club members are starting this weekend. LOL.. Divine Intervention?

Question: What do we do when we plateau at a previous set-point on P2 since CD's are not allowed in this phase?? Any suggestions would REALLY be appreciated!!
Well a stall of 3 days would probably mean you should do an apple day.

I knew that there was a chaps story in there... did you take pics? lol

I am 41 years old =) No one ever believes me but the more I loose the younger I look.

I'm on a plateau, times 4 days now... according to protocol we should do an apple day, 6 apples limited water intake... starting at lunch through to breakfast the next day... didnt really understand the until breakfast time the next day part... either that or wait for it to break. I will give it one more day maybe? Dunno but at this point I could have cheated on Sunday and gotten away with it. GRRR!!
WOW! You look amazing.

2 things. First, as Lara mentioned, an apple day. Fast til breakfast then eat up to six apples in a 24 hour period. Most people just eat them for the one day (e.g. from noon until bedtime that day), unless they are in the habit of eating fruit for breakfast. Second (NOT protocol), a mini steak or all protein day. Mini steak involves cutting out the fruit, grissini, and one veg and having your two protein portions or 7 oz of lean steak for dinner with a raw tomato.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ho hum. Moving into the week 2 doldrums. Small loss of 0.3 today but I was up late on a date and was a little overexcited when I got home! Didn't get a great night of sleep and I've been up super early the last two days, working out, so that's that. Off to shower then sprint demo day at work today. I think this calls for...RED COWBOY BOOTS!
Have a great day everyone!
.3 is still good. As long as the scale is moving down,
Yay for pooping!
But really, how are you doing? I hope you're okay.
____
SOMEHOW, I lost again despite my 8oz steak and huge plate of broccoli with butter. Weighed in at 180.2 this morning. That's 9lbs and today is VLCD6. I'm super nervous about second day gains tomorrow though. I'm being VERY strict with my protein today. That's where I tend to get loosey goosey and have 6 oz instead of 3 per meal.
One of my clients cancelled so now I have nothing to do at work except surf the web and play with my new steam mop.
Yep. Blind internet date. Cute pics but much better in person. Manders and Cocoa can probably appreciate how much we tall girls can dig a man who is 6'3" and well built to go along with it! I wore 4" platforms and he was STILL taller than I was! Add it to dreamy hazel eyes, well-spoken, a rather risque sense of humor that had me cracking up for two hours, and some really nice tattoos (love! ), and well, it WAS a nice evening!
OMG! That's soooooo exciting! Yes, we can totally appreciate a big guy. That said, my bf is tall 6'3 but a skinny boy. He's like 170lbs max. His hips are about 2 notches on a belt smaller than mine lol
Sometimes the best way to move on is to flirt flirt flirt!
On a completely unrelated note, my mother purchased a new steam mop for my salon and I am absolutely obsessed with it. My linoleum is white with grooves in it, so it's ALWAYS dirty, no matter how much Cinderella work I do. After using my new steam mop, the floor is so clean I could lick it LOL I am totally excited to clean now.
LOL!! You'll be cleaning out of boredom, which is probably a good thing.
And yeah I love dreamy accents... It's weird because they moved around some of our locations so I actually sit further from him now than I did before, but he comes by to talk to other sales dev people and he always stops by my desk
Yeah, he's a dreamboat, all right! But I don't really think he is looking for anything exclusive or long term. We'll see though. I don't think ANYONE can promise that when they first start dating someone!
Well today is R3 VLCD13 ... I'm down 15lbs and hit a NEW # for me that I haven't seen for quite a few years (8 to be exact) I'm hoping that I will be able to lose another 16lbs; however, I know that I will most likely only lose another 12lbs.
This round is CRAZY for cravings for me. I'm craving everything that is junk! You know chops, pizza etc ... I'm trying to figure out what part of the would work this has climbed out of because I haven't had JUNK FOOD since February! What do you do to get rid of the cravings! And NO ive got no intention of giving in to them ... They are just driving me pretty much insane!
Hi coffeecups! Congrats on your 15! I find that supplementing with glutamine and chromium helps with cravings. I take 1000mg of glutamine and 200mg of chromium. If I have a craving, I usually try to make a P2 friendly food that has the same flavors or texture. I just ate beef and cabbage with Mexican spices (cumin, chili powder, garlic, onion) because I was craving Mexican food. Not sure about pizza or chops though...
I weighed in at 207.4 this morning. I went down .6 yesterday and 1.2 this morning. I am really pleased with those losses. I so badly wanted to see one-derland this round, but that is probably unrealistic at this point with only 10 days left, unless I extend my round past 43 days. We are hosting a Labor Day cookout so P3 would be so much easier and a whole lot more fun, LOL.
Down another little bit this morning (0.6). Slow and steady wins this race! (Said the tortoise... ) This is the third morning in a row that I've gotten up and worked out. Yay me! It's been quite a while since I was really good about it. Problem is, you guys are not posting enough to entertain me on the treadclimber from 4:45am to 5:15 am PST! So get ON it!
Yay for losses Lara, Eddie and Tims!
Hey lady!
Love feeling skinny!
--
I STS today. I was relieved that I didn't go up after the huge steak/buttered broccoli debacle, but annoyed that I'm SOOOO close to the 170's. Now that said, I was 100% on plan today and drank lots of water, so I can't imagine not getting to 179 tomorrow.
Today I wore a high-waist bandage skirt with *GASPPPP* a see-thru flowy shirt. My bra area was totally visible, which sounds a bit tarty but it was actually super cute . I never in my entire life thought I would be confident enough to wear something like this. So happy!
You have done really well! a nice break is due for you and me lol
Ugg. I didnt loose anything this am, big fat zero, I have no energy. Last night I had 94% ground beef patty on lettuce and apples. I know there was hardly any fat becasue it tasted like poo. lol
If I feel like this thoughout the day I will stop early, besides 1.2 down in one week is torture.
did I make a mistake with the ground beef?
Apple day was a success.. down 2.0 this morning.. wow!! yay!
One pound away from the 50's..
I'm in such awe of this protocol- it has really changed my life and it's just the beginning. I had really given up hope- it was so depressing to work so hard and never see results. hhCG has been a God-send.. feeling so much happier these days!!
Rock on!!
I STS today. I was relieved that I didn't go up after the huge steak/buttered broccoli debacle, but annoyed that I'm SOOOO close to the 170's.
Today I wore a high-waist bandage skirt with *GASPPPP* a see-thru flowy shirt. My bra area was totally visible, which sounds a bit tarty but it was actually super cute . I never in my entire life thought I would be confident enough to wear something like this. So happy!
I TRY to workout somewhere between 4 and 6 days a week. It's not hardcore--just gentle cardio for the most part. I usually do about 30 minutes of either rowing or treadclimber (kinda like a hiking machine) 3 days per week and then yoga once. The weekends are a toss up as to what I do, if anything. But I have seriously been so darn busy between vacation and work that I haven't exercised regularly since April or May and it DOES make a difference in my muscle tone, if nothing else. (Last round, I did Bikram yoga once a week and just about KILLED myself trying to do it on 500 calories a day!) I am really trying to get enthusiastic about weights again because I know muscle and bone loss as we age (I'm 45) can be halted or minimized with regular weight bearing exercise but I will wait until P4 for that. I do NOT enjoy exercise--I wish I did--but if I CAN'T do it for some reason, it drives me crazy! And I am completely aware that that makes no sense, btw!
Yay for STS, especially after a cheat! Don't be too disappointed if you stall for a day or two. It happens and always seems to stick right around those decade numbers!
The outfit sounds totally cute! Isn't it great to be able to wear things that make you feel sexy?
Hang in there kid! What week are you in again? I think you are about 1 week ahead of me and Cocoa. I just counted and I have 13 vlcd's left, so I am exactly halfway through, as of today. It's gone pretty fast, so far, and it certainly helps to have my bff's all on a round with me. Last year, we were all staggered which was a little challenging! I don't have issues with beef but I know some people do so I don't know what to tell ya there. I do hear you on the 1.2 in a week...ugh!
Yay! Apple days are awesome! Now hit that protocol hard today and lock in your loss!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, after being essentially stalled for about 4 days (0.9 in 4 days), I had a nice little drop last night of 1.5, putting me back to the weight I was after I came back from Mexico. Sad that I was up almost 10 pounds from LDW after Mexico and am just now getting back to it but I guess we have to measure these victories as they come in whatever way we can! As I mentioned, today is day 13 (vlcd 11) and I have 13 more vlcds (10 with hcg, 3 without) to finish a minimum round so I am halfway through it. I am shooting for no lower than 140 this round with a window between 140 and 145. I would be happy with 142-143 as LDW though as I was a little scary at 137.

Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely day. Stay strong!

Hey you

The outfit sounds CUTE!! I am excited to go shopping after this round! I think my mom is going to fly out here and stay with me for at least a couple of weeks after she leaves her job (she's a VP of HR quitting and looking for a new job), so maybe in October? And I know she will want to go shopping..which is great because I'll be a new size! How perfect

I'm hesitant to say that you made a mistake. I personally don't stall with beef (which is good because I love it), but I know some people feel they do. Whether you continue on with it or not is totally up to you, and you can test it out a few times to see what happens! I think that there are a lot of factors at play so it's often hard to pinpoint something to blame. on losing so little, though..that mentally sucks!! Keep at it and focus on how you feel better in other ways, maybe? The weight will come off!!

I always think that and then somehow find myself eating more apples!! Am I apple crazed?! It's like I develop a weird apple obsession while in P2! So glad it worked for you though, that's great

I also need to get back into exercise. I used to be so regular about it (it helped that ex-bf absolutely needed to go to the gym 3x/week), but with the move and the new job and everything, I've definitely pushed it off. Most of my exercise comes from walking to work a couple times a week - it amounts to 3.5 miles for the day. I'm planning to get back into doing yoga once a week once I make it to P4. Need to find a good studio. In my perfect world, I walk to work 2-3x/week, do yoga once a week, and lift weights once a week. I'll work up to it

I did hot yoga my last P2 as well -- I survived one time, and realized I probably shouldn't do it more, lol! I thought I might faint!

Anyway, if you decide you want an exercise buddy..

--
Well, I made it through happy hour last night -- I just told everyone I was doing a cleanse, lol. It was nice to go out for a little bit. And then I went home, read some of a book, and went to bed. Relaxing! I'm feeling some good energy today and I hope it lasts.

I'm wearing jeans today that I used to consider my "skinny jeans" when I was about 175-180. I'm probably hovering around 165 right now, and they're a little big At least I know that some fat is coming off my love handles and thighs!! Too bad I have a slight aversion to belts..

I'm gonna go with Shelby's send-off because I could use it today, too: STAY STRONG EVERYONE!!

WELLL, I normally eat bison, which is even leaner than the extra lean ground beef. It's only 120 cals per half cup and when I season it with homemade taco mix, it's TO DIE for.

Well done! I bet if I went to Mexico, I'd come back 30 pounds heavier lol kudos to you for working out.

Did you know that one session of hot yoga can burn 500-800 calories depending on how strenuous it is? I would definitely recommend against doing it on P2, but seems you ladies already figured that out Love wearing my skinny jeans too, but I won't wear belts either! You're doing so well with your breakup, so proud of you!

___

Well, drumroll please!!!! Today is VLCD8 and I weighed in at..... 178.8!!!!!!! That's a loss of 53.2 pounds since February. I have NEVER EVER EVER lost this much weight before, and the last time I was in the 170's was when I was 13 years old (and on the way up the scale!). I would have cried when I saw that number, but I wasn't awake enough yet

So that's a loss of 10.4 this round so far. Would that be 7 days, since today marks day 8? Is that how it works? Anyways, I am unbelievably excited and feel a renewed sense of commitment to keep seeing more and more virgin numbers.

Thanks again to every single person in here who has been so supportive, and totally called me out when I needed to be. You guys are the best and I could NOT do it without this forum.

I also wanted to mention that I think I'm only going to treat my trip my Michigan as a PI. My body is losing so well that I don't really want to say stop. So if I'm still steadily losing up until right before, I will do my PI and then get back into P2 after. And if I'm slowing down or stalling and my body adjusts to a new weight, then I will call it a round and move into P3. I leave on Sept 9, so that's 17 days away. So I figure 2 final VLCD without the hHCG which leaves 15 days, so I'm going to say 15 more pounds would be a miracle, but I'm gunning for 10 more which would bring me to 168. OMG. I can't even believe I'm writing that number!!!!

Okay, I'm blabbing. I need to go put some makeup on and go out and get my car oil changed and then get supplies for the salon. Be back later babies!
