Lean ground turkey on P2
Hi all...I need some feedback. My boyfriend and I are new to this diet. So far doing really good in our second week VLCD. I realize the the protocol was written ages ago, well before some genius decided to grind lean turkey.
So what's the verdict on lean ground turkey on P2? I would love to hear your thoughts, especially those that have incorporated it into the meal plan . Thanks !! |

I've seen some ground turkey that has fat ground back up into it. So, if you decide to eat the ground turkey, be sure only buy the leanest there is to make sure it has very little fat.

I think you can use the white ground turkey, the darker one is fattier to my knowledge. I'm a little bit rogue in that I eat turkey and use cottage cheese too and eggs once in a while, not very often.

The clinic I went to for my first round included it on their acceptable foods list, so I've eaten it before without issue. Whether you try it or not is up to you.

It's not part of the original protocol but it was on my list of allowed foods so I ate 98% lean turkey (5oz) serveral times without issues in P2.
