New (hi) and in a panic

Hello y'all.

Made it though being sick, and moving my house and business, I could do ANYTHiNG!! Or so I thought. I had family come into town for my sons 3rd birthday, I went a little crazy with two parties and about 4 days of poor choices. I have to admit with all the craziness I didn't really study up on p3, shame on me I know. I was up about 6 lbs(some mother nature weight as well) I am not sure how long I was up that much. I did a steak day today. Any suggestions for me or am I a lost cause, did I wait er weight too long?

Thanks in advance and I am so happy to have found this site! Xoxo

Good morning Kelly and WELCOME! :welcome:

As far as waiting (weighting...HA!) too long, you won't know until you continue with your round (yes, P3 and P4 are "continuations") and see how you stabilize. You may be fine, you may stabilize higher than you like, or you may gain more weight. It's really probably up to your own body chemistry and a number of other factors. I actually gained 5.5 pounds in one DAY of eating in my first day of P3 after one round so some rebound is normal. All you can really do is hope that you react favorably AND DO YOUR READING so you are prepared! What you SHOULDN'T do is restrict calories like crazy every day to try and get back down to LDW. That's our first inclination--cut calories. In P3, that can hurt as much as help. Eat to your hunger, eat plenty of fats, avoid dairy and nuts for the first week or so, and trust the plan will work.

Good luck!

:welcome: Kelly!! What's done is done. You can just take it from here and after your CD see where you are. It is tougher the longer you wait to try to relose it, but it is possible to do. Many of us (myself included) have faced this same challenge - esp. after vacations. Hope your steak day works well. Then we often alternate "clean" P3 days with CD's.

Good luck!!

Thank you ladies so much! I was 5 lbs down from yesterday, so hopefully that means the steak day worked!

Normally I over plan for this, so giving in to all the margaritas, Mexican food, cake was totally our of character for me, trust me it wasn't worth it.

Thanks again for the replies!

If you feel you must have a drink during P3, any hard liquor is 0 carbs. Just make sure if you use a mixer that it is sugar-free.
