Thanks, Dawnyama. And don't worry, I have P2 drilled in to me by now. I can even recognize when people *think* a recipe is P2, but it's not, or it's rogue. I'm witch-a!
Now for a new question: Did any of you, as you were gearing up to start HCG, suddenly run into someone who scared the beejesus out of you? Well, that happened to me. A friend who lost a small amount of weight on HCG, and gained it back, but... that's NOT the scary part (I expect to hear THOSE stories)... are you ready? She gained extra breast tissue that she never had before, and it didn't go away, even after got her weight back down!! This can not happen to me. I repeat: I cannot grow more boob. Not acceptable in any way shape or form. Granted, she says the breast tissue didn't happen on the protocol, but with the regain. But still... Have any of you heard of this?

Okay, another question. The sticky says 2 days of loading (for rx hcg), but Weight Loss Apocalypse claims Dr. Simeon recommended 3 days of loading (calling the 4th injection the first "effective" injection) and recommends 3 days herself. I've just reread P&I and you can interpret it to mean either 2 or 3 days, depending how you read it and exactly which sentence.
My clinic says 2 days. What is the common wisdom here? |

I always load for 2 days. I cannot stand to load any more than those 2 days. #1 I am sooo sick of food by day #2 I don't want to do a 3rd and #2---I cannot fit into my clothing at day #2, cannot even imagine how I would fit into them at day #3 So, 2 days of loading for me!

Yes, i suspect I'd be the same way. Even doing JUDDD right now, I never eat past just-satisfied, even on an UD. It is a hard won habit I do not relish breaking, even for a couple days. And the reason why I'm so glad I found Robin's book before doing HCG!

Well, I have returned from my trip (the reason I postponed HCG in the first place). Two days of all-day traveling and two days of wedding festivities and at the same weight I was before I left, which is a huge accomplishment. BUT...
I'm in no mood to load because of my travels, and I want to not only load properly, but appreciate it while I'm doing it. So I'm going back to JUDDD for a few more days (even looking "forward" to today's DD) to get my equilibrium, and then perhaps begin loading on Thur or Saturday. Stay tuned! Thanks you guys!
Question. Today is my last day of JUDDD, as loading begins tomorrow. It is a DD (under 500 calories), which I kind of like, since I'll be eating so much tomorrow and the next day. I'm just wondering if for any reason, I should make it a higher calorie percentage DD? (to those of you unfamiliar with JUDDD, you can still lose, albeit more slowly, eating slightly more calories on a DD - in my case up to around 700). I want my loading to work, but I also want to go into loading with as low a weigh-in as possible, and feel like I deserve the splurge. But maybe there is something I don't know? And yes please - a link to that site! Although I don't have much time to cook. I think we'll be going out to eat! oh, and one more question. I was sure TOM would've come and gone by today, but it hasn't. I am 55, and although it always comes, it's very unpredictable. Should I wait for it to start? I could be waiting a day or ten days - no way to know, but I suspect it's very soon. Last edited by buttah; 08-29-2012 at 12:26 PM.. |

I am not sure I understand your question about the JUDDD. I mean I do JUDDD and not sure what you are asking. I would just do your DD as usual today and then load tomorrow and the next day. Do not do any DDs while you load. Just load!! When I load, that weight gained in those 2 days is gone the first VLCDs. So don't worry to pack on the weight. It comes off very quickly!
Here is the site to LindaSue: Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Main Dish Recipes Plenty of people start P2 and then have their TOM. A lot of them do NOT know when it comes around because they have off schedule TOMs. No worries. Just start and if it shows up, it shows up!! You will be fine!! No, I was just asking if there was any danger to doing a true DD the day before I load. Like the loading might not be enough or something.
I guess not. |

No. I think you are fine. I mean, you did a DD the day before yesterday too? Just continue on as usual. Just be sure to up your fats on the load days.

I was one of the original HCGers on here back in 2009. Unfortunately, 3 yrs. later I am back. Yes, you can gain back if you have medical issues (as I have) or don't follow the "weigh yourself every day and fix any 2+ lb. gains IMMEDIATELY!" when you hit P4 <-- EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!!!
And, also, for some people it takes several rounds before they are able to stabilize. Took one of my sisters 5. You can only do what you can do. I just completed my 3rd VLCD day yesterday and have lost 3 lbs. as of this morning. So glad I'm back on the protocol. I'm having thyroid issues, presently. I need to lose as much as possible before my thyroid wants to quit on me. I've been told thyroid meds are dosed by how much a person weighs. When that times comes, I want to be on the smallest dosage possible. I'm planning to do a "bridge" round. P2 28 days, P3 10 days, then back to P2 for another 28 days. Then I will decide then if I want to do another round after the holidays. When I do get to P4 I will still have to go glutenn-free, but I know there are alot more gluten-free products out on the market now, so that will be okay. Wishing you the best on your pending Round 1. You'll do great! |
