I'm down 3.4 today... very happy with that. Ate my roast beef last night but I think a change is in order on the protein front this round. I did have one breadstick, and savored every little bite. My load weight is almost gone, not I have to loose the 6 I was over liw from last round..

so Eddie, you mentioned that you lost .6 the day sfter the vodka diets drinks... and what happened the day after? I ask because some say theres a two day effect with alchohol... and you stall the next day just curious hope you lost.

Lara congrats on your loss. Ok I have to be honest with you because I don't want to be responsible with anyone listening to my cheats. I actually did it twice the first time I lost .6/3 days in a row with no consequences. The second time I gained a pound on the 2nd day but I ate some different things that are a no no. The truth is I like to go out and socialize and that is the area that I struggle with. I never had a problem with sweets and such. Just late night socializing and of course late night eating. PS I am on day 32 and have totally recommitted myself not to cheat anymore

Hello~
Hovering 1 pound over my window, so I had a little drop from yesterday. Yay!
NSV~ my waist really seems to be getting smaller.. dunno if this is reshaping or what, but my ribs are more prominent as well. Now to get rid of this little pooch...

Eddie-first of all, day 32? That's impressive in and of itself!!! WTG!! And that's not bad consequences from off plan imbibing!! Some variety is understandable on a long round. You're doing well!! I hope the next few days go quickly for you!!

Lara-nice drop girlie!! WTG!! That other weight will be gone by next week and then on to VWT!!

Manders-you've got a full plate! But all fun stuff it sounds like!! Hope you have a great time w. dbf and can resolve some things. And, glad to hear the foot WAS feeling a bit better . Let it rest already!!

I'm down a lb today to LDW+1. I'm pleased w. that. I had fewer calories yesterday, but also had froyo and a nectarine. I think I may have just been eating too many calories. I was emboldened by my incredible stability all that first week that I felt impenetrable!! I think several days in a row of too many calories + weight lifting were the problem for me. I'm taking a break from weight training (exercise at all) for the rest of P3 (more than a week to go) and just focus on eating to hunger. We'll see how that goes. FIL goes home tomorrow, so my life will be less stressful soon. He's challenging to host!! MIL is here another week, but she's much easier to have around!

Have a good week guys!!

From your lips to God's ears Julie! thanks gf!

So Eddie I feel the same its hard when everyone is going out, I feel like I have to barracade myself to avoid even having one vodka or rum drink... thats my weakness too. That's really not bad... you had no gains or stalls and you actually lost, im impressed... now wondering if the diff is that since you're a guy and guys loose faster is that what makes it work? hmm
glad you tried it thanks for sharing.

The only thing that was weird was one time in P3 I went out with friends drinking and all of the sudden it hit me... my friends had to take me home and I left my car downtown! That never happens!! it stays in your system a long time and will kick you in the booty when you least expect it!

have a good day all. happy to feel good today

Hi Everyone!

Looks like the scale is moving in the right direction for everyone so WOO HOO for that!

Lara that's awesome that you're down so much and that your loading weight is almost gone!!!

Dbunny yay for being down today as well!

Julie, so happy for you to see the scale finally moving in the right direction for you! I bet cutting back on the lifting is a bit part of it! Enjoy a little time off from it...kick back and relax some! And then having the Inlaws gone will give you more freedom to eat cleanly and not have temptations!!!

I'm THRILLED to report that my weight is down almost 2lbs today from yesterday! I was soooo sure today would be a CD but I'm actually .4 down from my LIW!!!

Yesterday I was .4 from being over the window so that's a big drop to me! Not sure what I did differently yesterday, I think I kept my calories a bit lower, but I actually think maybe what's happening is that my body is now adjusting to this new way of eating.

My theory is that at first my body was holding onto all the fat and calories I was eating after P2 for fear it would go back to "starvation mode" and now that it sees that I'm eating normal and feeding it calories, it's able to burn and release some of that fat again? Maybe not, but that's my little theory!

The best part is that I ate fruit yesterday, some cheese, some almonds, all within moderation of course, but it's good to know I can do ok eating those things!

Needless to say I'm in a MUCH better mood today. Amazing how this stuff effects my mood but it does. I feel a weight lifted (both literally and figuratively) and I am more confident that I'll be able to get through stabilizing/ maintaining. Still, I can't wait to go back to P2 in about a month!

What else? Still sick, bad sore throat today, but my husband is feeling better so hopefully I'm just a day behind him and tomorrow I'll feel better too!

Have a great day all!

Wow! Congrats girly!

I've been so good all week and been busting my bum really hard with my workouts, so I am treating myself to a nanaimo bar this morning. It's sinfully delicious.

His plane lands at 11:03am on Sunday morning I'm dying of excitement! I'll probably get to the airport at like 9am because I'll be so excited. I'll be walking around the airport telling everyone who will listen. hahahahahah

He's seen me on FaceTime but he hasn't seen me in person since 50 pounds ago! We haven't seen each other in almost a year and a half. Which reminds me, I need to grab some waterproof mascara. LOL! I've been running around like a madwoman trying to get things done. Coloured my hair late last night. Getting it cut tonight after work. Already went for a waxing appointment for the areas I couldn't do myself. Gotta get my spray tan done, do my own pedicure. And find some time to pack and STILL go to work hahahah

So much effort being a girl!

Just a few days! I think I look bigger on camera so I'm hoping he's even happier when he sees me lol He'll only be here for a few days this time, but it's better than nothing! I'll be with him every second he's here so we'll make the most of it.

Thanks! I'm excited too! I'm going to do my best to eat as on plan as I can. He knows all about my restrictions and his Mom actually started doing gluten-free so he's sorta familiar with why I make my choices and stuff. He wouldn't push me into eating something bad. He's very supportive and understands all my issues, especially with portion control.

I'm expecting to go up a little bit because I'm sure we'll have some wine and stuff, but I'll behave myself. We only have 2 specially planned meals while he's here, and only one of those will end up being totally off plan. So every single other meal, I can make good choices.

Good morning!! I'm at LDW+1 today and very happy w. that!! I've learned that carbs aren't evil and that calories seem to matter more!! Eating to hunger w.o worrying too much about the carbs is working well for me the past few days. Even had some regular froyo last night!! Woo-hoo!! Not advising that, but seems to work for me .

Reddy-good job!

Manders-the anticipation is part of the fun!! You'll have a great time!

I am almost dead from anticipation LOL I have a bit of a hair-mergency last night. The guy who was starting to do my hair wasn't listening to me and didn't even seem to understand how to brush my hair. So before he could even start, I just said I would pay for the hair wash and I bailed. When I got out to my car I started bawling my eyes out because I NEEDED my hair cut because it was all broken off on one side (long story) so I drove over to the mall and just walked in to this one nice salon and I was (still) crying and the girl was super nice and she took me right in. She actually told me I had to stop crying or she wouldn't cut my hair LOL she did a great job and did it EXACTLY how I wanted. I'm very happy. Now I have a 10 hour work day just about to start, and then 5 hours tomorrow and then my mom will help me pack and clean my car and I promised to do her pedicure in exchange and then I have to do my own too.

Is it normal to go up a bit on the scale when you start doing a lot of cardio? I've gone up about 1.5 which isn't bad but I was hoping to stay around the 182 area. I'm only at 183.9 but still. And yes I know I admitted to eating a nanaimo bar lol

I seem to be breaking out a bit and I don't know if it's from stress, PMS or from the dairy I've been consuming. I don't want to give up cream in my coffee again.

Julie, so glad you're doing well. I think I may "cheat" and treat myself to some fro yo this weekend. I miss it and want it. I'll make it a small serving if I do.

Manders, so glad you found someone to do your hair! I've been there with the breakdowns over that stuff. I'll never forget when I went to see this highly recommended hair and makeup artist to do a trial for my wedding. I scheduled it on the day I was doing engagement photos so I could look really nice in them and also to see how the hair and makeup photographed.

I walked out of the salon looking like a train wreck transvestite! SOOO much makeup caked on my face (I don't wear much normally) The hair was just all wrong and I looked like a hot mess tranny. Especially when the tears ran makeup down my face!

I couldn't believe how bad it was and I was going straight to the shoot for our pics... I walked out of the salon, got in my car and bawled my eyes out., I pulled the pins and stuff out of my hair and drove to the nearest drug store to buy makeup remover.

Ended up taking the photos with NO MAKEUP and my hair a mess.

When I showed up to the shoot the photographer was mortified. She was like how am I going to take your pic if you don't stop crying??? She was super nice but she was like I CAN'T do this if you don't calm down. You need to get it together.

The pics from the begining of the shoot are awful b/c my eyes are all red and bloodshot but as I got calmer and worked through it, it was ok. But the pictures overall did suffer b/c I didn't look great or feel great! Luckily there were a few good ones to come out of it. One I'm wearing sunglasses lol and the other is from behind! Go figure!

BUt I digress... your stress could be breaking you out or perhaps TOM is coming? Super excited for your meet up with the boy. I suspect we won't be seeing much of you from Sunday onward

Awe Reddy! I'm glad you got some good pics out of it. That must've been awful. I'm sure you still looked beautiful.

I was actually supposed to get my TOM about a week and a half ago but it was a no-show despite everything pointing to it coming. Who knows.

I won't be around on Sunday, except maybe before I go to get him at the airport. I'll probably try to get there for about 10:30 am mountain time. Then he leaves Tuesday afternoon so I'll be back Tues night, unless I'm laying in bed depressed. lol

Reddy-I had to at that one!! Cute pic, and your hair doesn't look bad from the back! Glad you tried it before the big day!! I didn't LOVE my hair on my wedding day. It looked good and photos were good, but I wanted more volume in the front, and didn't get it .

Manders-good thing you trusted your instinct and ran!! Glad you found a capable and sympatethic hair stylist!! I am still growing out a bad haircut from last Dec!! She hacked into the one side (assuming in an attempt at layers?) and it's been a mess since!! Too many Living Social/Groupon coupons!! I hate paying $$$$ for hair, but you do get what you pay for!!

Been re-reading my ****** for insight into what's working for me (and what's not ).
1. Afraid the exercise will need to be a separate chapter for me down the road . Sigh. One thing at a time, right?

2. My ratios the past 2 days were 50% fat, 30% protein, and 20% carbs. I had a few choc covered almonds, and real frozen yogurt. And, I'm down or STS both days. My cals the first day were low, 1400, but yesterday I was around 1800 and even consciously overate my froyo (took too much and couldn't bring myself to throw it away) at 8PM. And when I was successful my last P3 that's where I was.

3. I had tunafish the past 2 days and several days my first week. Fortunately I like it, and have plenty of it, so I'll be keeping that as part of my repertoire! Seems to work for me .

I'm not seriously anxious to add too much else in. I'm working on sticking the weight first, then I'll challenge it once it's a set point . I'm content for now. Hope the weekend doesn't tempt me above what I'm able. We'll be eating out a bit. And Sweet Tomatoes is on the list. Sigh. Need to remember, that even though it's a buffet, it doesn't mean I HAVE to overeat!! Self control!!

Thanks Manders! Thanks Julie! I was able to brush it out and get it smooth so it didn't look bad. Luckily since I have my hair permanently straightened it goes back to that easily!!

I ended up finding an amazing person to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day and was very happy with it in the end.

OMG I love Sweet Tomatoes. It's one of my favorite places to eat. But you can go SOOO wrong there if you're not careful. Those cobblers they make are my biggest downfall. With some soft serve on top... drooling!

Glad you're finding what works for you. I think that's the biggest challenge for p3. I think I'm finally finding my groove and I believe the gains I saw at first were just my body adjusting to the new addition of fat and calories!

We have a Sweet Tomatoes here, but I have never been there before. I'm not fond of buffets...so I stay away. I don't like the temptation of eating wrong stuff, or eating way too much which makes me feel miserable.

Last weekend, my family went to Golden Corral...aka "The Pig Trough". I don't usually like to go but went anyway because I remembered that you can pay "by the pound" (to go box). When I told the cashier...he said if you have had WLS or if it's for a special diet program...you can pay $4.99. Pretty awesome...I didn't know that. But, I declined and just put romaine lettuce(I always bring my own dressing!) and cold cubed chicken breast in my box...it was perfect! And it came to.............$2.36...can't beat that...the momma was happy, the daddy was happy, & the kiddos were happy (they love the fondue machine!)

.5 away from the top of my window... I am trying to keep it clean, but have indulged in a bit of 85% chocolate and wine the past few nights....

DOOOON'T buy coupons for your hair lol hair stylists go to school for 1-2 years plus apprenticeship plus years of training and experience. A good stylists WILL cost you, but it's more than a hair cut. They're artists.

You have curly hair too?! It's the worst! They guy last night couldn't comprehend that I wanted my hair cut dry. I should've known going to a mom & pop. Normally I pay at least $80 for a hair cut.

Yeah it's naturally curly but not the good kind. I could never actually wear it curly - it was just a fuzzy frizzy mess. Most people that know me, even those who've known me 20 years dont know that I'm curly bc since 7th grade I've been straightening it.

I was so tired of spending an hour A day on my hair so In 2007 i decided to try Japanese Thermal Reconditioning. It's permanent (unlike keratin) and it makes your hair pin straight which means its totally wash and go! The down side is that I can't style it, it doesn't hold a curl now so it's quite boring but I still prefer it this way!

Just had it done a week ago today. I go once a year. 7 hours in the salon!!!

I know I'm not the only one watching the Olympics .

Angela-Sweet T's is great b/c all their food is fresh!! Not processed, made or cut up there . The soups are delicious, but usually have flour in them to thicken them . But, the salads are great, they have a SF mousse option and good soups. I avoid the muffins, pizza, pasta and baked potato, but the kids like those! And, my coupons for $20 for all 4 of us to eat? Can't beat that!! I haven't done GC in ages. Did bfast buffet there once, not awful, but not something I'm likely to do again. But, that chocolate fountain has appeal...

Manders- I have found 2 good hair stylists through my Groupons, but 1 bad one! They're out there . The best one was at my old gym. She's $75 for a cut, but did a fabulous job!! I'm growing it in, and w. highlights the coupons help a lot!!

OMG - I pay $20/cut (it's $15 plus $5 tip) - and I think it's a bit pricey! But my hairdresser does a marvelous job and I like the cut ...
