Yeah, I'm in no hurry with my kids, though they do get awfully heavy to cart around by the end, there! But young walkers can be a blessing and a curse, especially if they can get into everything. My kids are very cautious, too, which can be frustrating when they need to be adventurous but it does make early parenting easier with three little ones running around, none of whom are inclined to dart toward traffic

Thanks for your support.
You've gotten the same advice I'll give, no sugar and no starch-you're asking for trouble w. the cookies, rice and melba chips. Go read the P3 thread they linked for you. You'll be like and A-ha!!

Taryl-nice to see you. Glad you're hanging in there, but really? Worms?!!! Oh man, now I'm worried to even consider a rotisserie chicken. Sigh.

Dbunny-nice drop from your steak day.

Reddy-he's adorable!! Enjoy this season in life. It does go so fast!!

Angela-I've only got 2 dd's, couldn't imagine what I'd do w/ even busier boys!!

bonnie-6? That's impressive!! So wish I'd have been able to have more kids. But I'm thrilled w. the ones I have .

I had steak for dinner, and salad and green beans (ate out) after a burger for lunch and GY w. strawberries for bfast. Dh wants to go out for gelato later, but I'm scared. they're SF flavors, but I'm coming off a CD and know it'll kill the scale if I have it. Even w.o. it I'd be surprised to STS tomorrow. Sigh. Wish I could just eat like everyone else in my familiy.

Thank you Julie. I really am enjoying it but it's going too fast!!!

I saw today that my supermarket has Voskos and thought of you. Unfortunately it's flavored and has granola or something. Going to keep an eye out for the plain kind and try it.

I feel fat and bloated and although I believe I made better choices today I hate this full feeling and STILL miss that empty feeling I had in P2.

I over ate today though I think. I hate a double burger at lunch when one patty would have been enough. I wasn't even hungry for dinner but I wanted to make something for my husband so I made us Turkey Chilli and I ate a large serving. I made a pumpkin recipe I saw in the recipe thread and it was yummy, tastes like pumpkin pie but I felt guilty eating it.

Hoping I'm not up even more tomorrow on the scale. I really want to stay at or below my LIW!

Oh and everyone in the house is coming down with a cold. Baby, Husband and me. And I know I can't take Dayquil or Nyquil. I did that when I was on atkins and after taking it for 5 days and stalling I finally realized that stuff is LADEN with carbs. Ugh. Runny nose, sore throat. No fun.

Thank you so much all for great advice. I do feel like DUH! BOINK!! BOINK!!!

So is it true P3 is more like Atkins? More Protein+Fat and low low carb? That will keep me focussed.

Tomorrow will hopefully be a Chicken or Egg CD Day. All set. Any advice on CD Day?

Thanks again. Now wish me luck ..Ha Ha.

So I had the grossest thing happen the other day and I can't not share. I was thawing one of those Foster Farms young chickens and was cleaning out the cavity and what did I find? Two huge earthworms frozen inside the liver/heart offal. It was absolutely revolting, not only did I have to toss the chicken but now I am having MAJOR chicken aversions because I keep thinking of the random annelids in with my food. I don't even want to know how two FAT worms could have made it inside a chicken like that, but I'm pretty darn grossed out.

Aaaand that's me lately!
oh. my. gosh. i got seriously naseaus from reading that. i would be traumatized.

actually, i think i am.

Guess who hit my mini goal today?! Me! Back down to 182.6! I am shocked. It came out of nowhere. I have been working out very hard but I didn't expect it to come so soon. Unfortunately I managed to injure my foot so I'm going for xrays in the morning. I'm kinda disappointed because I was really on a roll. I'm a little worried it might be a hairline fracture due to the bruising and swelling. That would put a bit of a damper on my workouts. I'm hoping I may be able to go to the gym and do the eliptical for a low impact workout if it's just a muscle issue. If it really is broken, I'm back on HCG.

Ugh I'm clearly doing something wrong! I'm up 1.6 over LIW so scary close to top of window which means tomorrow could be a CD for me.

I'm up over 5lbs from my last VLCD so I've been steadily gaining despite eating properly I thought. I guess I need to try eliminating cheese or something? I didn't have nuts yesterday and that didn't seem to matter.

Not only am I really disappointed with my weight gain but i have the worst sore throat ever! And so does my husband and I'm pretty sure my son does too. Sorry to be negative nancy but I'm feeling sad for myself this morning!

Hi ladies!!

I started P3 over the weekend (by basically forgetting to take my pellets) and so far my weight is fine. But I'm terrified to eat. Yesterday I did try some FFGY with splenda and raspberries...YUM! So I'll get there, just a little freaked out at this point.

Anyhow my main point of my post was to whine about the scale I started at 219 and my first goal is 199. Yesterday the scale was 201.2. I had a drink last night with some friends and some veggies and dip...mostly legal stuff, but I was still anxious to get on the scale today. My weight today...200.0 ARGH!! Damn thing, just give me 0.1 so I can actually see the onederland number on the scale!! LOL oh well, here's hoping tomorrow brings the number I am so desparate to see!

I was put in a boot for 2 months!! Totally recked me . I couldn't even go to the gym. Over a toe!! Hopefully you'll be fine and able to keep going w/ your workouts!!

Watch the rotisserie chicken. All of the store bought ones have sugar and additives, hopefully only on the skin, but many have had problems with them . You'd be safter w. a big juicy ribeye!! And no greens If you choose steak instead you can have an apple or some tomatoes (I do grape ones) after it .

Reddy- Bummer on the colds Hope you're feeling better soon!! That may make you retain some water too. I buy the "real" sudafed - have to show your ID to the pharmacist to get it. That or Claritin D is the only thing that helps dry up my sinuses and doesn't hurt the scale. Actually, usually curbs my appetite. Are you tracking calories? I wonder if you're eating more than you think, or maybe even too little? I don't aim for anything, calorie wise, but I try to track them so I know what I'm actually eating each day and can see what happens on the scale the next day. P3 is a mystery to most of us. Can you pinpoint what you added when you started really gaining? Common issues are: wine, cheese, too much fruit, nuts. Hope you can figure it out and are feeling better.

Vt-good to see you!! Oh man, you're so close!! Sometimes we're down after alcohol as it dehydrates you a bit, so don't be discouraged if you're up a tad tomorrow. It'll get there. Onederland is knocking on the door!!

Last week I was so stable it blew my mind. One day of weight training and I was up, up, up. I did a CD on Monday, and yesterday ate out, all legal, w.i my recommended cals, and today I'm back up again. At the tip top of my window. I was 2lbs below LDW my first day, so I'm up 4lbs from my low. I know I'm still "in window", but I'm toying w. a CD today. I'm sure even w.o. one I'll be down tomorrow if I'm careful here at home, but not quite sure what to do. I'm trying to take it all in stride and be seriously content w. my current weight (dreamt of being here all my life). There is a small part of me that is tempted to call this a PI and jump back on P2 for another week or so and get a bit lower (if I can) so I'll be able to maintain lower. I wonder what that does to the stabilization. I wonder if losing a tad more that extra week or so is really temporary and our bodies go back up or make stabilizing harder. Hmm. Mulling

Julie, so sorry you're having issues. Seems like you're doing everything right so I don't see why you're having trouble.

I feel like I've read that some people can do PI and it actually helps them move in the right direction and then others say it causes issues with stablizing long term? I would LOVE to call this a PI and get back on. (I don't have any more HCG so I'd have to get some anyway) but I miss P2. SO MUCH! Have I said that yet? I think if I do another round I'll plan for a 40 day round> May not make it the whole 40 days but at least I'll have the option. I love not thinking about food.

Didn't you do a CD just a day or so ago? What are the rules about CD's and how often can you do them?

I think I'm going to do one tomorrow if I'm out of my window at all. Thinking either an egg or a steak day.

Any thoughts on Egg days and whether or not they actually work? I feel like that one would be the easiest for me. Also with an ED, can you have mayo (make an egg salad or deviled egg etc)?

As for me trying to pinpoint where I'm going wrong...It's probably a number of things I'm doing. I haven't been counting calories or carbs (I hate counting) but I'm thinking I probably should because I"m probably eating too many calories. Yesterday I ate a double cheeseburger with bacon for lunch (no bun of course) and then Dinner I had chilli and maybe the tomatoes didn't help since they gave me problems in P2.

I also had a few slices of Genoa salami yesterday which I know has some sugar in it. (But man I love that stuff and could eat it all day long)

I also made this Pumpkin recipe I found on here which has Cream Cheese, Pumpkin, Eggs and Splenda. The Splenda could have caused me problems. But omg it was SOOO good. I want to eat more of it today but I'm afraid to. Ok I lied, I already tasted a little this morning

Then there is the cold and your theory about retaining water. Man I feel like its' all stacked against me. I've basically gained 5lbs in less than a week and I'm scared the scale will keep climbing so I have to make an effort to do better today and maybe count calories.

So far I had 3 scrambled eggs in butter with Onions and a little bit of cheese. And then lots of tea b/c my throat is on fire.

I may give the sudafed a try if the cold gets any worse. I'm more concerned about my lil man right now. Poor guy. If his throat hurts as bad as mine, he must be pretty miserable.

Oh and Manders, I missed your post about being down already! WOO HOO! So sorry you hurt your ankle though, hopefully it's nothing and heals quickly!

That pumpkin bake gave me trouble. Too much cream cheese seems to be an issue for me. I do best on whole foods, yogurt, meat, veggies. Too many "recipes" seem to stall me, even w. legal foods in them. I also found in my last P3 that eggs weren't effective for me. I did an egg CD and didn't lose anything and realized the days I had eggs I didn't lose, or even gained. Which is a bummer. The egg CD is easy to follow, and yes you can make egg salad or devilled eggs on that CD. You may give it a shot. Even having egg salad after having eggs for bfast then a burger or steak dinner would be a modified CD which might work well for you? Hang in there and hope you're all feeling better soon.

Ah that pumpkin bake may have been the culprit? But it was sooooo yummy! Grrr. I guess I will stay away from it and make hubby eat it!

As for Eggs, I really really really hope they don't cause me problems b/c I love eggs and I feel like I'd be lost without them when doing Atkins/ P3.

As for a modified CD with Eggs and Steak, that may be a good idea to try. Just eat nothing but eggs and steak and see how it works. I just hate feeling like I'm gaining after I finally lost so much ya know?

P.S. Julie thank you so much for your support. I'd be lost without you! lol.

You know the other thing to consider Reddy is sodium or salt. I'm not sure from your menu where the burgers or chili came from...but for me, the salt in fast food or in premade chili (or even homemade with a seasoning packet) will kill me with water retention. And the salami would have put me over the top. Sodium and I are like arch-enemies! I worked with a nutritionist about a year ago and she said that salt and soduim are pretty different. I can put salt on my steak or tomato, no problems. But when it comes to sodium in processed food or ham, etc...it kills me!

Just a thought, something to consider....but who knows, maybe I'm completely off target

Youre probably right about salt. I eat a lot of it and it could definitely be giving me problems.

The burger was from a local restaurant so not fast food but still I didn't make it myself!

The chili was home made - I seasoned it myself but I did use salt.

I just ate the leftovers for lunch so it wouldn't go to waste! I see a CD coming tomorrow! Will prob do steak day but have two small ones otherwise Ill be starving all day!

How bad is it that knowing a CD is in my near future leaves me wanting to have a small cheat day? Ugh this is why I'm I'm this position in the first place. No control over my eating!

Reddy -- If you're gaining weight, also keep in mind that you're sick. It happens a lot when the body is combatting something. Just eat well and take care of yourself, and see where you end up in a few days! And I understand you totally on the lack of control over eating. I'm playing around with different ways to make myself control it without feeling overly controlling..if that makes sense. The more I control it, the more I feel like I lose control! Ya know?! My eventual goal is not only to be at a weight I'm happy with, but to think about food like a normal person..aka not all the time! It's a mental power struggle for me, and I have to learn to let it go, and eat the way that makes me feel best, and not binge when I feel like I'm "messing up" already! Easier said than done.

Julie -- So sorry that you're struggling, dear. Try to stick to the basics today and see what happens! If you have to CD, you have to CD, and you can do it no problem! We all know your affinity for GY...hehe!

Manders -- Hope your foot gets better! And congrats on the mini-goal, yay!

VT -- SOOOO CLOOOOOSE!! Omg! You'll hit it in the next day or two!

I've been doing kind of what Lara did with the one hour meal thing this week. My parents came to visit and left me with all of their leftovers and I've been feeling kind of out of control so I decided to keep my eating within the window and have what I want (including all these yummy leftovers), then stick to water, coffee, and tea for the rest of the day. Could I actually lose a few lbs this way? It would be nice. If not, I know I'm about to jump on a round..but I'm trying to NOT have to re-lose a bunch of weight! I'll already have to re-lose at least 5-6 pounds, but that's not horrible. At the same time, I'm trying not to stress too much. Tired of stressing.

Hey Cocoa... theres a "CAD" (Carb Addicts Diet) thread if you go to the main page and select "other" diets then you will see it, lots of info there that will explain the one hour theory... rather than go into it here just cause I think it may be counterproductive for some people but take a look. =)

I'd be lost without you! lol.
You're very welcome!! It's nice having friends to struggle along with! . don't overdo it intentionally today w. a CD tomorrow in mind. I toyed w. that last night myself, could have had gelato so that I would just CD today. Well, I'm at the top of my window today and not CDing, just eating clean. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but I can totally sympathize w. you!! And all that talk of eggs I went ahead and made a quiche today!! It's delicious!! I hope my body will accept eggs this time around. I may even go so far as to try to make today into a CD, but not intentionally. May have some froyo today. NSA, but still!!

Fortunately for me, salt doesn't seem to effect me much. At least I don't think so!

Cocoa-you'll do well w. your plan. Glad you enjoyed your visit w/ the fam. Those leftovers!! I am having that same issue w. my inlaws here. I will prob freeze my stuffed peppers - I think they're too calorically dense for me in the long run. I tend to overeat them.

Cocoa, please share how the 1 hour meal goes and your results!!! Good luck!

Julie, not going to over do it intentionally today although I didn't eat as cleanly as I should have and am probably headed for a CD. I wish I didn't have these sugar free chocolate covered almonds in the house. I wanted something sweet and I had about 5. Probably not the end of the world but probably not smart when I'm trying to be "clean"

What else did I do that was bad today? I ate some cherries. I know fruit is allowed but I have a feeling I'd be better to skip fruit for a few days and see if it helps. But I did it and man they were good.

I am using an online tracker to try and track calories but it's a lot of guessing since I"m not weighing my food... but I'd say I've come in around 1800 - 2000 calories so far today. Maybe a bit more maybe a bit less. Probably more though I think my goal is to stay between 1500 and 1800 so hopefully that's not going to kill me tomorrow.

Julie, curious to hear how your modified CD goes and what the scale says tomorrow. Hoping you'll see a drop!!!

Tameka, sorry you're up. Maybe you need to eat more calories? You are so lucky to not feel hungry. I'm hungrier than ever right now. Someone in another thread recommended trying Raspberry Keytones for appetite control so I think I'm going to try it.

Jodie-enjoy P4!!

Lara-hope you lose like a mad woman tomorrow!!

Reddy-you'll be fine. If you're over, you'll only be up a bit. Then a good CD would get you nice and low in your window!!

Temeka-was that your first P3 day or are you still doing the days w.o. dosing while you wait? I hope you're in full P3 swing!! It's much more fun than P2!!

Didn't do a CD, or even anything resembling one. According to ****** I'm coming in around 1200 calories. Tried hard not to overeat today, and listen to hunger. Tried to wait a while before my first meal, made it to 11am! Then froyo mid day while we were out shopping, and finally some tuna salad for "dinner". I had a second cup of coffee for "dessert". I'm hoping to just stay in window. Maybe down a tad would be nice!! I'm surprisingly not hungry today. I would love to stay "un-hungry"! I hope so.

Hmm. Mulling
Thank you! I didn't know what about the rotisserie chicken. Thanks for mentioning that! I will start ditching the skin. I just really like grabbing them hot from the deli in the supermarket because I'm suuuuper lazy about cooking.

I didn't go to the Dr. this morning as sleeping in sounded like a better idea. My foot felt a bit better, so I went to the gym and did the elliptical so that there wouldn't be as much sudden impact on it. But then I was all pumped up and couldn't help but run on the treadmill, and I hurt it again. But I'm going to bet it's probably just a muscle issue, as I noticed it was "cramping" more today as opposed to being a sharp pain. I have NO time to work out between now and Sunday when my BF flies in, so I have about a week to recover.

They put fillers in burgers in restaurants missy! Breadcrumbs and such.

Never fear! That's why there's a 2lb window. What are you eating? Give us a menu. Remember, it's WAY more complicated than just calories.

I had a stressful night. I took today off to do some running around and grabbing supplies for the shop. Then I went to the pet store to get stuff for my animals, then as I was going tanning, I happened upon a dog locked up in a hot car. So I called the police and the animal welfare officers and they came out. The owner got there just after the police and he got the dog out. I was soooo angry. He's lucky that the cops were standing between him and I, or I would have kicked his youknowwhat into the next century.

He got a ticket for endangering the welfare of an animal, and the officer told me that I could be summoned to court as a witness. I certainly would go if I had to, but I don't want to.

I was so busy today, I've hardly eaten anything. I'm VERY stressed and nervous about my BF arriving on Sunday morning. I have so much to do. I'm sitting here with hair colour on, waiting for it to process. Tomorrow I have two other salon appointments (I can't do everything myself!) and then I have to also find time to do some laundry, pack my bag (i'm staying with him in his hotel), clean my car inside and out, and STILL GO TO WORK IN MY OWN SALON! LOL!

oh. my. gosh. i got seriously naseaus from reading that. i would be traumatized.

actually, i think i am.
