Hi all. My first injection was July 28th - so I've been on for almost 2 weeks. Down 10. But, I've stalled since Tuesday... just .2 or so loss. I've been totally on - not a cheat. I don't eat the bread stick and drink tons of tea and water. I'm gonna ride it out - but am annoyed!!! Anyone else had a 4 day stall??

Reddy I have a weekend biker party to attend so plan is to stop injections on day 36 which will be Monday. No injection but 500 cal for the next 3 days. Then party on Firday alittle but alot on Saturday, I'll drink absolute vodka and diet sierra mist twist of lemon(70 calories a shot). Then back to business in P2 by Sunday. I know you might not agree with my plan or even my lifestyle and I respect that but I need a fun time and it will be almost 6 weeks by then. I will not be drinking and driving as we will be camping there, I never do that.btw I will continue to eat right anyway. Sunday onward I will do a short 23 day plan and see what happens. I know this is all "rouge" but I need to do this otherwise it will turn into a punishment instead of a positive life change. I hope that makes sense as I value your thoughts and judgement. I have no judgements at all Eddie, I was just curious! I like to party too! (toughest thing about dieting honestly!) I'm sure that anything you gain while off plan you'll get off within a few days!

Hello all~


Update on me:

Finally down .4 today. I've been stalled out for 5 days now I wanted to do a mini-steak day on Wednesday...usually helps me...but didn't have any steaks in the freezer...unable to get to store b'cuz of daycare. And yesterday I was in an annual 8 hr. training class for work...couldn't get to store...too tired last night...so I figure I've held on this long...gonna ride it out. I seem to be retaining water today...hands & feet feel tight. Actually, I don't mind it...at least I know WHY I'm not seeing the losses...kwim? I am still losing inches, though. My arms are toning up, as with my legs. Blouses & pants are slipping on easier. My problem right now is bras...they're all so big on me...and unfortunately, I need the support...gotta go looking for some.

After next week...I will prolly only be a lurker until school starts on Sept. 4th. I usually run like a mad-woman around this time getting my PreK room ready, curriculum done, Open House meetings, and getting my own 2 boys ready for school, etc. I will read post nightly...keeping up with all of ya'll. Everyone keeps me so inspired.

Good news...5 more days of daycare next week & I am DONE FOREVER!!! Looking forward to some ME time.

Down 3 lbs this am for a total of 10.2 on my third day of vlcd. Happy with that but still pondering what the heck I will have for dinner. Rethinking the rotisserie chicken... although sunflower market aka whole foods does have them with just chicken nothing else.. thats what the label says and I have had those in p3 with no spike at all. I would love that with some lettuce.

So its Friday night and I know that my bestie will be calling me asking me to meet him at the bar but I will have to tell him no cause I dont want to be tempted and honestly I just want to sleep this weekend. Hibernate. Lay like broccoli... just veg out. I want to make the most of this round and loose a total of 40 lbs so that I can nip this and start looking the way I want to. 30 more to go. I can do this. My hcg will last me until the end of September but I never make it that long. Around the 4th week I start to go crazy. I'm considering not weighing until the end of the month but I always saythat and never do it. lol I could always just see how I feel and where I'm at at the end of the month. There's really nothing you can do for a stall except ride it out. I've tried apple days and they sometimes backfire. The number one thing I have to do is find a solution to my protein issue in finding something that tastes good and is on protocol. I will figure it out.

Do you like canned chicken breast? At times, I have used it w/ seasonings & wrapped it in lettuce leaves and hot wing sauce...pretty good.

I used to think the idea of canned chicken sounded gross but the Kirkland brand from Costco is really good and makes a great chicken salad!!!

Lara, I think you should weight yourself b/c it will likely keep you motivated and also you'll know if you hit a stall and need a CD or something.

Angela, yay for being down!!! Keep it up!

P.S. Not sure why I'm still lurking in this thread since I'm now in P3. I guess b/c this thread is more active than the P3/P4 one...

First day of loading in!

I think I ate enough....I was so full at bed time...I felt breathless. I will spare you the menu.....but it was GOOD!!

This morning I was down a pound ...crazy. I love HCG and the effect it has on my body! I could tell that I felt different already...like I had lost some fat off my back.

I also got a wonderful manicure/pedicure/massage and lathered up with enough lotion to last me a month. Fabulous! Today I am going to get my hair done and then I should be good to go!!

The reason I stopped using HCG in the past was that in 2010 (after losing around 70 pounds on HCG), I discovered a fast growing uterine fibroid tumor. It was about the size of a cantaloupe! I had to have my uterus removed (partial hysterectomy). I kept wondering if it could have been caused by the HCG. After the surgery I gained back all the weight I had worked so hard to get rid of. I tried lots of other diets, but nothing was working for me long term.

I am praying that this is a safe and successful journey for me...

I was looking at the canned chicken at the grocery store and there was modifed starch in it... I will look at costco brand today, good idea guys.

ooh Canook I hope youre feeling better. I'm gonna bet you that this round will be easier with the absense of your menses... I know this because I take the pill continuously so I'm not bothered by weight fluctuations or water gain when I do hcg. I wish you luck you can do this!

Reddy~ I think I will weigh too.. and try not to let it rule my day.
mmm Prek~ how wing sauce yummy. wish I would add butter lol

when we all go to p3 I will give you an awesome stuffed jalapeno recipe...

Here is an Asian dressing and/or meat marinade that might offer some variety:

2 Tablespoons fresh minced ginger
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup Bragg's aminos
2 pk sweet-n-low

How about Chili?

100g 95% lean ground beef
160g Hunts Fire Roasted Tomatoes w/garlic, or home roasted
1/2 t chili powder
1/2 t onion powder, or diced onions
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t Hershey dark cocoa powder
pinch of salt, and black pepper to taste, and a shake of cayenne for punch!

Serve with grissini stick crumbled on top.

NJD.....I had a 4 day stall that just broke on Wednesday. I think it was a variety of factors: pre-TOM bloating, an strenuous 8 mile hike on Sunday, and my body adjusting to the big loss from the first week. I didn't do anything different, just kept eating as I had been, and the stall broke on Wed, same day as TOM started.

I'd get the whole foods chicken if it is clean like that! I'm not going to do a super long round either Lara.. I miss P3!

I'm praying right along with you Canook! I had everything removed 9 years ago. Gained nearly 100 pounds the two years following. I don't take hormones anymore at all.. Just herbs for the last couple of months, along with HCG.. I'm finally starting to feel free again.

Down nearly 6 pounds this week. I'll take it!

I have a team "meeting" tomorrow for lunch. Would you load a 3rd day or try to find something on the menu to eat? It is supposed to be VLCD 1. I don't feel like explaining it to everyone.

I would load another day, it wouldnt hurt. This time I loaded for 4 days and the last day I ate normal and still lost 3.6... seems like I always do 3 days.. it gives your bady to get the hcg in the bloodstream...

I miss p3 too Tiffany!

So even though all I ate yesterday was a piece of chicken, I am UP a whole pound! Now I'm rethinking going into P3, maybe I should stay with P2, although I don't know what good it's gonna do considering I managed to gain a pound when I only ate 150 calories yesterday.

Also, I'm quite lost on the 72 hours bit because I always just decided to look at it as three days... where yesterday (thursday) was last dose and then friday saturday and sunday would be final vlcd days and then I'd start P3 on Monday. BUT then when I look at it in terms of hours, I'm already 24 hrs past my last injection, so is that a full day 1? which then tomorrow morning would make 2 days, and sunday morning would make a full 72 hours and then I'd eat P3 on Sunday?

I don't even know what to do. My low before that unavoidable cheat day (which wasn't even a BAD cheat for pete's sake!) was 136 and I saw myself being close to 130 by the end of this, and now I've GAINED 2 pounds since then even though I'm hardly eating, and now I'm at 138 which is nowhere near where I wanted to be.

The day of your last inection counts as part of the 72 hours. So if yesterday was your last injection you would start p3 in Sunday.

I know about the +-2 but I'm not sure if I even want to go into P3 now that I've already gone and gained a pound from eating a piece of chicken!

As fickle as our bodies are...that is prolly the problem...you ONLY ate a piece of chicken! I have found that with HCG, there is NO rhyme or reason. It's hard to fathom why the body would not lose even more, but we gotta take what we can take. Are you feeling tired & depleted? Is food becoming boring? If so, maybe you should call it quits for now. Or perhaps do a small PI to just help you mentally & physically replenish, and then jump back on to P2 to finish to goal?

Just an idea..........

Girl! What reason did you have to only eat 150 calories? That's your problem. You're kinda walking into serious starvation there.

yeah I think I'll go ahead into P3 and give myself the option of calling it a PI if I feel like I want to try again by the end of next week.

My body isn't any more depleted than it was at the beginning, but I AM very bored and mentally over it.

phew. I'm feeling better now that I've figured out what the heck I'm doing!

I was under the impression that with HCG starvation mode is not something that you need to worry about.

I was told that if I'm not hungry, don't force myself to eat, and that I can eliminate things as much as I want as long as I stick to protocol based items. I ate chicken and was full, so I wasn't gonna force myself to eat anything else. Just was not hungry.

Starvation Mode..and Why You Probably Never Need to Worry About It.

If I were very lean then it might become an issue because at that point my body wouldn't have enough abnormal fat stores to utilize through HCG which THEN might cause my body to freak out, but it also takes long term calorie restriction, 1 day of eating 150 calories won't send my body off the deep end, especially since I've still got quite a bit of fat pudge on my belly for the HCG to use.

I would think that even though we do not "technically" go into true starvation mode, per se...our bodies are designed to protect themselves, kwim? I don't always eat to the protocol 500 calories either...I think 300-350 is prolly my average. Most days I get in my veggie & protein at each meal. I haven't done the starch in a few weeks, and only eat the fruit allowed when I am out & about . I am taking (sneaking) an apple in to the movies tonight. Hubby & I are going w/ our neighbor friends for dinner & to see "Hope Springs"...it looks hilarious and I am so looking forward to getting out...been a while.

I had stalled recently a few days...but lost 8 lbs. the 2 weeks before...so it happens that way for me usually. I have been feeling twinges of hunger before meals yesterday & today...which is a pattern for me that means I am losing when I feel a tad hungry. Other than that...I never feel hungry...thank goodness.

I'm not saying you were going into "starvation mode" and I'm not saying you were hungry either. I'm merely saying that I refuse to believe that eating 150 calories in a day on ANY diet is okay. The idea of that is very scary and I'm only mentioning it because it concerns me.

Are you taking vitamins?
