The clinic I used the first time would let us chew a piece or two per day. As long as you don't go overboard on it, I don't think it would be an issue. You could try it!

I tried to not chew much gum but there were times when I HAD too. All the garlic I was eating combined with Ketosis did no favors for my breath!!! I don't think it effected me much!

I'm a firm believer of sticking to protocol but you have to make the food taste a little good right? I call it man versus food sometimes lol. I have to find a way to cook some chicken with flavor... I would do like to just get a rotisserie chicken and attack it but its not protocol. wah. |

So...I have been gathering all my supplies together and making sure I am ready for this. I found some HCG in the freezer and also some HHCG drops. I wanted to check the potency so I bought two pregnancy tests from the dollar store. The HCG from the freezer tested positive and the drops tested negative.

BUT the BBQ Sauce is very good, the Rasberry Vinegrette is good and the Ketchup( a bit thin) but tasty I add horseradish in it to eat as a shrimp dip. I really like all the ones I listed![]() Everyones taster is different and sometimes eating them alone (like to taste) isn't very good but whne added to something it is. I LOVE the caramel dip with an apple ![]() |

Well, I've officially surpassed the minimum days required for P2, so now it's a matter of just deciding how far I wanna push this. I know for sure that I want to be on P3 by next friday because I will be going out to dinner on that day and can easily eat P3 at that restaurant but don't want to struggle with more P2.
I'm not yet at my goal, but given the fact that in this 4th week I've slowed down to losses of only -.5 a day, I'm not sure if it's going to be worth it to keep trudging along. I may just call it, and then work on these last few pounds with diet and exercise in P4. I'm wondering what I ought to do to jumpstart a bigger loss during these last few days. Maybe a mini steak day. |

Kayla, what was the outcome of that 4lbs you put on? Was it a fluke? Was it gone the next day?
You've done amazing so if you are ready to call the round, go for it! Remember that you have to stay on the VLCD for 72 hours from your last shot so just keep that in mind if you want to be in P3 by next weekend but don't stop just yet. |

I think I might go ahead and have tomorrow be my last dose... or maybe even today, and just go into my 72 hours starting tomorrow... I could start P3 on Monday |

freaking out...
Tonight I went to costco and bought some grouper sauteed it in a pan with some old bay seasoning, it was gross. bought strawberries and had spinach...
so theres this pre made shredded chicken no oils or fat just breast meat...that I bought too... I was thinking that I could eat that tomorrow... no sugar no fat and all that. what do you guys think about that plan? I really would like to eat it with some salsa... dunno what would happen. I just cant eat beef right now for some reason... maybe if it was filet mignon... but thats so expensive. ugh its only day three and im having food issues! I could do chicken breast? help! How bad would it be if I got a roteisserie chicken removed the skin and just ate the breast? omg I sometimes think that I would be better off just drinking a shake or taking a pill instead of eating!

Lara, one of my favorite dinners in P2 was Lemon Tilapia. Super easy and yummy.
Take Tilapia and season it well (I use Adobo, Garlic and Onion Powder, Salt and Pepper and Dill) then take 3 slices of lemon, squeeze them over the fish and place them on top. Wrap it in Tin Foil and put it on grill for about 15 mins (flip half way through) It comes out SOOOO good. And I'm not a fish person. |

I consider veal a yummy, often overlooked meat for P2!
PS I have done the rotisserie breast before because my mom bought a rotisserie chicken once and separated some of the breast out just for me, since she knew I could only eat the breast. It was very sweet so I didn't want to turn it down. I just heated it up, squeezed it in a paper towel to remove as much fat as possible, and weighed out the cooked meat portion to eat. She gave me enough for 2 or 3 meals, and it didn't negatively affect me. Now I wouldn't do all of my chicken meals that way, but if you're in a bind, it's an option! Just my opinion

I'd be careful with those rotisserie chickens, they're injected with extra stuff and has sugars and starches in it to flavor it

Lara, I agree with Kayla, I'd stay away from the rotisserie chicken. I buy their boneless skinless breasts and grill up a bunch at once. That is the best thing for lunch. For dinner I eat a piece of fish with asparagus. Every single day. I get tilapia from Costco. I bought some kind of fish called swai, but I hate it! I have 3 pc left. I will eat it til it's gone. Hang in there girl, You just have to get back in your groove. You can do it!

those are some good ideas ladies, thank you. I just ate my grissini, the only semi-yummy thing ive eaten today.
lolok so here's my agruemnent on the injected starches and sugars inthe rotisserie chickens..... we are eating fruit and that had sugar in it... and I just had a breadstick... so does the no sugar and starch rule only apply to p3? what are your thoughts? It's a different kind of sugar. It's not refined. I was starving at costco, and I looked at those chickens. They are chock full of all kinds of stuff! Chemicals everywhere!

My veggies are usually sliced tomatoes or cucumbers with red wine vinegar and water sweetened or just sliced with salt and pepper!I do eat canned spinach too. Lettuce is ok but I am not much on it unless other items are in it too. Just some ideas they may not be up to your tastes at all. ![]() |
