Today is p2 d4 for me. Started VLCD Monday. I haven't weighed (trying to weigh only once a week) but I know I'm not down to my preload weight yet. I gained 13.5 lbs loading!!! So it'll be a while. My stomach is still hanging over my pants.

It's discouraging because I'm doing so good by staying on protocol and only managing to get in about 300 cals per day, yet most people are losing by day 4 and I know it wil be at least a week or more before I can even get to my preload weight.

It's great that so many of us are doing this round together. It should help us stay on track.

I think that I will only do the minimum 26-day round this time because I will be out of town quite a bit and I'd at least like to be low carb by then. It's too hard to travel on p2 since there's really nothing I can eat at a restaurant. So now, because of that darn loading gain, I'll probably just net a small loss this round.

I'm trying not to be discouraged, but while on p4 I ate mostly LC and also introduced fruit, crackers, smoothies, lots of nuts. I could've stayed eating all of those delicious foods and been a lot thinner right now had I not decided to do this round of hcg.

I know I can lose real well with hcg but I don't think it will be much since I have to do a minimum round.

I also tend to gain a LOT when loading....usually its off in 2-3 days. But I have to ask....why are you "managing to get in about 300 cals per day"? where is the other 200???? This could be part of it, maybe?
What do you other gals think?????

Weighed in at 170 this morning ....1.8 lost.

Congrats, ladies. So I am having such a hard time working up the nerve to weigh to track how much I lose in p2. I know i gained A LOT during my load...I can feel it I just don't want to do anything to frustrate myself and go off protocol right now. I've been an emotional reck this summer....obviously hormonal. I feel your pain, felina....we'll do it together!! Cynthm, a hike sounds like fun! Anything to stay busy...from colrado and love to hike! C'marie....thanks for cheering us on! It helps a lot. Stay strong, everyone! We can do this!

Can I join too? Today is VLCD1 for me! I have LC'd and hcg'd on and off all year so far and have lost 32 lbs! My parents invited us to the beach at the end of the month so I would like to get down to 175 (about 10 lbs) for when we go. Nothing like the prospects of being in a swimsuit in front of hundreds of people to be motivation. Yikes!

Good Luck All!

Count me in! My last round was a bust, gained a small amount of what I lost and my 1st loading day for my 6th round begins tomorrow - 8/4/12.

I cheated a lot on my last round and I'm just cheating myself.

You can sub one whole egg AND 3 eggwhites for one serving of protein, so it's actually pretty substantial. My problem is I hated to waste the egg yolks from fresh eggs so I would use one egg and then later in the day use 3 eggwhites from one of those cartons of real eggwhites in the refrigerated dairy section for a smoothie with some frozen strawberries, a small handful of raw spinach, and maybe a little hersheys cocoa powder (the kind with NO SUGAR) and some stevia and I was happy with my milkshake for dinner. I hate cracking eggs! LOL

That milkshake sounds so good, but I dont know if I could mentally drink something with eggs in it

I am kinda hungry today, but its more boredom hunger. I havnt been sleeping well, only about 2-3 hours/night this week, and I am EXHAUSTED. I am going to bed uber early tonight so I dont have the after dinner munchies and I can at least sleep before DH comes home and starts snoring.

If you get the homogenized kind in the milk carton in the refrigerated section it's just like eggnog. Nothing slimy about it, lol, especially when you add a couple pieces of frozen fruit and some stevia and no-sugar chocolate Really the texture is just like a milkshake.

Count me in!

I loaded 7/28 & 29. Started vlcd on 7/30. My first time on the diet. 6 weeks until my honeymoon! Hoping to lose 15-20 pounds total. Have lost 6 so far. I miss food!!! Changed drop dosing to 5 drops 6 times daily as recommended to stave off hunger. Hope it helps! Tired of my rumbly tummy!

hi all!

I would def like to join!! I preloaded 28 &29 and started on 30th.

Let me point out I am breastfeeding a 5.5 week old and eating 800-850 calories. So far so good! I have lost 7 lbs so far. Had to tweak my diet a bit and figure what was giving me small losses:

#1: no miracle noodles. Although zero calories i did some research thay said it affects the fatcrelease
negetively. Mistake #1
Mistake #2: not a lot of red meat. It contains too much fat and takes longer to digest

Stick to protocol and no deviations!!!! If hungry sip on TONS of hot and cold tea sweetened with stevia. REALLY CURVES THE APPETITE!!

Nife to meet all of u!!

Thanks everyone for empathizing with me. It's so nice to have this support.

TiffanyM, I loaded for the weekend, 7/28,29. Started VLCD on Monday the 30th. Nothing unusual, I'm just unusual. It's so messed up but I have no choice to accept it and continue.

Somebody asked why I'm not eating the full 500 calories. I'm not eating so much because I don't have much of an appetite so I skip the Melba's, have just one fruit and sometimes skip a veggie during a meal. I make sure that I get my protein.

I havent been feeling great lately. Most of it is because I havent had a good night sleep in a long long time, and some of it is from my eating habits and stress. I was doing Atkins before this round and I think loading with all the carby foods irritated my system. Not to mention the ridiculous family drama this week. Ugh. I am too old for drama!

BUT! We are going to look at mattresses on Monday! YAY!

Have a great weekend all!!

Congrats on your losses, everyone! VLC day 6: down another 0.6. Losses have slowed each day, but as long as the scale is going down, I'm happy. Measured today and have already lost inches!

You know you may lose more this way! Less carbs means more protein and that means ketosis!

Protocol or Rogue

So....just curious...what's everyone doing?

Me....I am doing MOSTLY protocol. However, my favorite baking dish, for the eggs, does reguire some cookong spray.
AND....I will keep some sf jello on hand for moments of weakness. Might have it, might not. But it's best to have a plan.

I am doing mostly protocol too. Except for more cream for my coffee....can't get through the morning without breakfast if I give up the cream. I also mix veggies, and eat broccoli and cauliflower, and some ahi tuna. When I cook steak, I rub it with a little olive oil. Well, it's what I call mostly protocol, especially compared to my cheat-filled first round!

I am doing mostly protocol too. I have a small amount of cream in my espresso, and the only time I mix veggies is in a big salad. I have some sugar free hard candies on hand if I get 'bored hungry' it tricks me into thinking I am eating something. My biggest problem is snacking, so I have to force myself to go to bed early that way I am not tempted.

I have been yo-yoing btwn 187.4-192 toward the end of Atkins, and was a solid 189 after loading. This morning I was 188.0. I would probably be lower if I could go potty

I just made a big batch of SF passion fruit tea with a spike of Senna tea and crystal light lemonade to get things moving, I know its not really protocol, but I figure its better than laxatives!

I am following protocol to the letter except i am breastfeeding so i increased my calories to about 800-850. I usually dont go over 810. I just added more protein. Here is todays menu:
Morn: coffee (decaf) w/stevia and tsp non fat creamer
Midmorn: 4.5 sliced cucumbers w/ 3 oz of chick breast ( i put it in a sandwich bag and added apple cider vinegar and pepper: eat right out of the bag)
Lunch: same: 5 oz chick breast(i am out with the fam so eating out the bag) 16 oz hot tea w/ stevia
Eve: 8 oz whiting and 10 asparagus spears

Lately...following protocol foods mainly, haven't been too hungry, chicken, shrimp, or hamburger patty and cukes, grape tomatoes, salad, no fruit or melbas, and it really has helped me lose even more...5 lbs. last week, 3+ lbs. already this week...really starting to lose the inches through my hips..which I REALLY NEED. I have always been carb-phobic, and I think I still am. Another thing is if I really am needing an afternoon munchie...I've been grabbing cukes w/ red wine vinegar, or a handful of grape tomatoes.

BUT, I've been having 1T cocoa powder, 1T sweetener, & 1T water (p2 cocoa crack) almost every day & making SF lemonade to drink...
