It's looking like Labor Day weekend will be my start date.
I have a good window of time following the holiday, and I believe I have my mind wrapped around the idea of going back on again. |

I'll be starting Labor Day weekend also (I'm usually lurking daily). You all really inspire me and help me stay on track. This will be my 4th round (hopefully last) I love HCG and am so glad I did not listen to the negative hype. Good Luck to all !!!

Let's see, I know Diva mixes veggies. She allows some VLC foods like SF jello and diet sodas. what other roguishness did you pick up from that darling lady?
I was looking at the WL apocalypse book. Phipps-Woodall suggests choosing a non-holiday event for loading, but I think I'll still go w/Labor Day. My traditions for the holiday don't revolve around food, but we do eat a lot while we're up camping. I'm not good at snacking, but if I'm sitting around with other snackers, I might remember to eat lol. OTOH, I don't want to be so full that I don't enjoy my trip. Hmmmm.

Mixed, veggies, sf jello, Crystal Light, no obsessive weighing, organic animal protein, no ground beef, turkey and tuna in water ok, peaches, nectarines, occasional eggs, cottage cheese, fat free Greek yogurt, Myoplex shakes on occasion, not counting in P2 (but counting with equal fat and protein grams in P3), no provisions for apple days, read up on stress related hormone activity, drink lemon/cucumber water. Cabbage family ok (I like Kale very much!), mushrooms, peppers (thinking stuffed with turkey may work. Like P2 chili?), occasional fat free cheese with apples, and on RX, ok to do longer then 40 days per her doctor. Take potassium, biotin and magnesium. About the scale...and Robin taps into this, if the scale is getting all the power to dictate your mood of failure vs success, put it in the garage. Weigh in the beginning and weigh in the end. Just let the program work. Wow, she probably feels like I stalked her! lol - but truth is, she has stabilized better then anyone I have seen thus far. Must be something too her plan. I missed that what Robin said about loading on a holiday. Interesting! |

It's part of Objective #1 of the Mind Body HCG Method... 1. To identify stages of physical satiation or complete fullness.
"This objective is relearned during the loading days, at the start of the protocol. We recommed that you choose days that don’t make sense at all. Refrain from loading at a birthday party or a cultural holiday feast. Try not to have a good reason to force-feed and this will help you relearn the body’s signals separate from the dysfunctional drive." Robin Phipps Woodall (2011-11-08). Weight-Loss Apocalypse: Emotional Eating Rehab Through the HCG Protocol (p. 79). AuthorHouse. Kindle Edition. |

Hey Stevie, I saw in another thread that you have downloaded WLA for kindle but have no kindle reader.
You can download a free kindle for PC app from amazon. That's what I use. I don't have a kindle device, but I can read kindle books right on my pc. They have one for mac, too. Just go to the retailer's site, under shop by department, hover over books, and select Kindle Books. Look at the bar at the top of that page and select "Free reading Apps". I don't care for the kindle cloud reader because you have to go online to read. I like the one under "Computers", which allows you to download the material to read while offline. Once you've installed the reader, you can go in to your amazon account and select an item for download to the reader. The download option defaults to the cloud reader, so you'll have to change the selection each time you want to download a purchased item. |

I will likely be starting around then, too! And I am definitely going to be using Robin's principles. Even planning a few Skype sessions with her. I highly recommend watching her videos (all of them!) and checking out her FB pages, where she answers lots of questions. Hoping to knock off the last 23 lbs or so!

Again, watch the videos. They're on her YouTube channel, and you don't need a YouTube account to access that. I don't feel I'm the one to summarize for her, nor could any of us do her justice! You can call the Mind, Body method clinic in Minnesota to get rates. Just google? |

If I had to give a summary of Robin's work, I'd say the key point is that we have to buckle down and rid ourselves of the emotional relationship with food. We must learn to eat only what our bodies need by redirecting ourselves away from all forms of using food as a crutch (for social anxiety at parties, for a cure for boredom, etc). That's much easier to say than to do. Further, it isn't just about redirecting. It's about delving in to solve the issues which are at the root of our misuse of food. That's huge for me, and I'm sure others feel the enormity of it, too.
That being said, her you tube videos, the book I've read, and other online resources are absolutely packed with a lot of information over far too broad a range of topics to adequately summarize. I suggest you find 20-30 minutes here and there to view a video whose topic interests you. I always learn something whenever I do it. I'm not sure I'll follow through with my plan of a Labor Day start. I really need to do this thing right this time, as it will be my last round. I'm not sure I have my mind wrapped right yet. Forgive me if I bow out. I'll get there eventually. Last edited by emel; 08-23-2012 at 08:56 AM.. |

Emel,
no forgiveness needed. This is your journey Well wishes to whatever you decide to do. I imagine most of us will just hang in P2 threads anyway. Buttah..good idea to allocate time to watch and learn. I actually started P2 last week but very rogue. I won't even load Labor Day but I will be traveling and enjoying myself so I will call it an interruption. I do not weigh every day anymore. Looking forward to being more on protocol come Sept in hopes this is my last round for 2012. I do tend to do detox rounds as I travel often. |

Robin also uses the word "gluttony" often. I think we are all guilty of that far more often than those who've never had an issue with weight. Thin people rarely stuff themselves. They also don't "diet."
It's about learning to push the plate away before you're close to uncomfortable. You will have that food again. It's not going extinct. And you will enjoy more when you have true hunger. Polishing off a plate merely because it "tastes good" and is in front of us is what got us here. Conveniently forgetting that 20 minutes after feeling really full, you will actually feel really stuffed is what got us here. If you can embrace the freedom of knowing nothing is off bounds ever, two things happen. 1. You find that you actually usually crave healthy foods, with occasional treats. 2. You eat smaller portions, feel comfortable and wait for hunger to return to eat again, because you don't like the "stuffed" feeling anymore.

Chantel-are you already on P2? Cheater
You'll be way ahead of us!! ![]() Chouter-have a great time!! ![]() I'm going to do another round myself. I'm not unhappy here at this weight. High 140's is still a dream come true for me!! But, I'm still padded and have a lovely little window to try one more round before my big trip to Cali in mid-Nov. I'd like to be thinner and nice and stable by then. So, I'm doing a Stay-cation in Scottsdale w. my fam starting Friday then going through Labor Day to the following Friday. I'll "load" the last 2 days, I think. Not sure I can start P2 while in a condo in Scottsdale. Maybe I can. I'll bring my pellets and see what I can manage. An earlier start would be nice. hmmmm. Either way I think a quick 3 week round would be nice (10 lbs would be great!! more would be just spoiling me!!).

hehehe, very rogue my dear. Very. I am eating very fat, and super low carb. Just playing around too see what happens. I don't even weigh right now. But! I did stop the RX today and slowly increase calories all week because our plans changed. We now are leaving earlier for our desert trip and have to come home early to go to a funeral. So....like you...will start the HCG Sunday and Monday. I don't really load anymore as I eat high fat often. I call it a "mini load" I guess. I think September is a great time to do the VLC days for me because we have no birthdays, no special occasions and our home school year officially starts so we will be focused on getting our groove back with that. I hope you get those last few off!! Me too! hehee ![]() PS: Remember when we first started on 2010? My first and second round were awesome. I actually got to 133!! I am almost 5'7 and medium, muscular build (at least I think so). 133 was way too hard to hold. I would love to just get to the low 140's and hold it. We shall see what our bodies want to do., As I age, it seems to be more stubborn! ha Last edited by Stevie Renee; 08-25-2012 at 09:39 AM.. |

hope things go well. I DO remember way back when.....those were the days, eh? I got down to 115 and I can hardly believe I had done that. Now I am just wishing for 120 I might join you all in another round in Sept. I stopped my round because I was cheating every single day. So I figured why waste that precious hcg? But I do need to lose---jeans season is coming up soon and I have to fit into my jeans. Right now doing JUDDD til then. |

Well think it over...and see how Sept looks for you to try a new round. Would love for us veterans to do this together! You, Julie, me, Chouter. We need Peg here too! lol I have a bathing suit to fit into Labor Day! ACK! But yes, jean season for sure. I love my jeans and want them to fit better then they do. Summer time is always the hardest season because of our schedule and activities. I remember my first round was Sept 26th. I did 36 days and lost so great. I want that magic again. I was a bit rogue too. Lots of eggs and egg whites with hot sauce. May do that again since it is cheap and agrees with me. Dawn |
