First off, Stevie you POOR THING. I feel so bad for you and I'm so sorry you're sick like that. I really really hope you start to feel better soon. I can't imagine that dieting while that sick is easy. Hope you are on the mend!
![]() Dawn, thank you for those links. Definitely helpful.Just read through them and it was encouraging to hear some people say that they were hungry the first week and then it got better. Someone else also mentioned that they feel more hungry on days when they do exercise. While I didn't "EXERCISE" per say, I was relatively active today. Took to walks with the dog, did Music Class with my Son which is basically chasing him around and picking up his 27lbs self multiple times, Dancing around etc... and then we went shopping and walked around a lot and I had to carry him a bunch today so MAYBE it's a factor. Spoke to my friend who turned me onto HCG and she had an interesting theory about my hunger. At this point I'm doing a "vanity" round. Meaning, don't really NEED to lose this weight, my body is actually in the right range for my height (5'10) I think the proper weight for my height is like 155-165 or something like that. (gotta go look it up again) but I'd like to be a bit thinner. I'd love to be like a size 8 and for my muffin top and hips to shrink some. I think I look best around 150lbs so I figured I'd do one more round to get there. Last time I needed it as I was OVER weight and nothing fit and I felt miserable. But I guess it's possible that I don't have that many fat stores now? She was thinking that maybe my body is not releasing fat stores to keep me feeling full since I don't have that much to lose and that This is why I"m feeling hungry... what do you guys think of that theory? Kind of makes some sense to me. I contacted the girl at the clinic today to tell her about my hunger (I'm STARVING right now and seriously fighting the urge to raid the kitchen) and she suggested upping my B12 and increasing my dose from 25 to 28 and then if it doesn't help trying 30 next week. So I'm going to try that tomorrow. All I know is I never felt one OUNCE of hunger last time and it was SO easy. This time I'm STRUGGLING. Last time I could watch cooking shows or my husband eating yummy stuff and was hardly phased. THis time, I'm feeling ravenous and my mouth waters just THINKING about food. Sucks! |

buttah - glad the hunger is better and hope you figure out what helped, 9.8 lbs sounds like an awesome start
walking woman - sounds like you're well on your way to getting where you want to be before the wedding, I would have never thought to put radishes with a roast in a crock pot - going to have to remember to try that b/c it sounds good winders - looks like you started really well and I'm sure you'll get back to dropping soon stevie - thanks for the epsom salt reminder, fish on the george foreman sounds like a quick no fuss method, hope you recover from the bronchitis quickly, I'm excited to explore the Penzey spices - I did 4 batches of chicken (one with jerk seasoning, one with lemon pepper, one with northwoods, and one with curry) dawn - I don't know how you can do so well working at CFA b/c they're food is so good it would be so hard to stick to plan, it sounds like you're also starting off well, thanks so much for pulling up all the old posts - I've been bookmarking them so I can make sure to read them, so sorry about your brother ![]() lemonmama - looks like you dropped the loading weight fast so I'm sure you're well on your way reddy - 8 lbs so far sounds great, sorry that the hunger is so bad and hope you figure out something to alleviate it, how much B12 are you currently taking? sleepy - 10 lbs so far - WOW! I've never tried Jimmy John's? sounds like I need to check out this unwich Today was loading Day 2. I fixed brunch with bacon, eggs with cheese cooked in bacon grease, and made gravy from the remaining grease. Then we went out for italian for dinner and I had italian bean soup and cheese ravioli in a marsala sauce. I couldn't finish it though, got way too full after eating a few of DH's fries and a cheesestick. I had planned to pick up some ice cream for before bed but I'm now glad I didn't. Of course TOM decided to show up tonight also. My stomach is very upset right now. I'm not sure how much is TOM and how much is all the greasy food ![]() |

buttah--you are a much more sane woman than I. I am 5'4" (actually a tad under) and trying for 115. I am at 129 and still see where I have abnormal fat. It is all about body image and for me, I want to BE a solid 120. So that is why I go so low. Got there once before so I know hcg will get me there again. Once at 115, I bounced up to 118. If I can stay there so my 2 lb window is around there---it would be great! Even if I end this round at 120, it will be so much better than where I am today. To each his own. And our goals are so individual! Btw, I have had 4 kids--all by c-sections and am in my 40s.

Hey gang.
Happy Sunday. Still have the yuckies. And TOM is due. UGH Not weighing due to the illness and meds. I feel thinner however and that is good. I may weigh after TOM and a few days after in hopes I am clean of meds. Thank you for all the well wishes! No hunger here so that helps. Keep working it! My big goal is to lose at least another 10 before my DD baby shower Oct. 6th. Then after that, cycle through Oct & Nov.... |

Hi Ladies! Busy MOB the last few days! No scale for me today. The Melting Pot event was just too much for me and I caved. Not horribly, but I did. So, today's a new day and I'm thinking a good clean day or two and the fun I had on Saturday should be long gone
![]() Stevie, How are you doing today? Hoping your health is improving ![]() Buttah, great job on bringing an apple to the party. Hope your hunger issues are resolved soon. Dawn, I'd kill (well, that might be a tad extreme) to be at 129 right now Wishing you a smooth ride to 120!Reddy, Congrats on your loss and best of luck at the parties! Winders, Great job! Rissa, you must try the Unwich! if you go on their website you can put in any sandwich and then customize it to see the info. Their food is super fresh and the meats are fantastic ![]() |

Still having a hard time (third day of 125iu, so I'm stumped).
When you guys say you're not hungry on HCG, do you feel weak and shaky at all? Is your stomach cramping, kind of in knots? Or do you just simply feel like you don't NEED to eat in any way (although you might have a craving for a certain taste you miss - in your head, not your stomach)? My stomach is cramping. I feel irritable, lacking in energy. I keep asking myself: maybe this is what it's supposed to feel like, but then I say "nah, couldn't be - people do 40 days of this!" We have a busy weekend, and I've felt like it's hard to leave the house because I must be near my chicken broth, my tea pot, my bits of protein in the fridge in case I feel even more faint all of a sudden. To make it worse, scale stayed the same today, possibly even up .3, I can't remember. I wonder: 1. does HCG take longer to work, or not work very well, if your metabolism is really screwed up? Or if you've been doing various diets, with minimal carbs and sugar, for the past six months? 2. does HCG take longer to work, or not work very well, if you're near menopause or possibly have some other hormonal issues that you don't know about, because you haven't had any symptoms yet? 3. Are you guys really able to go out, socialize, work, whatever, feeling "comfortable?" I just want to feel comfortable! 4. Why did I have that one great /evening, my first day of 125iu? Thinking out loud. Hopefully it's just too soon

dawnymama, all I can tell you is that 50's feel different than 40's in so many ways. And in a lot of ways, better. It becomes more about health than turning heads. Don't get me wrong, I consider myself attractive, and most people think I look like I'm in my 40's... but... it just changes.
I reserve the right to change my goals, but I looked amazing at 130 - it's a realistic place that I can live the rest of my life. We'll see. But, seriously, your head changes. For the better. |

buttah--I have never felt shaky doing hcg. I don't do Rx so I cannot help you on how you are supposed to feel on that. I do know that some supplements are recommended for those symptoms you have though. Are you taking any? I know that some have suggested potassium (I myself take 8 pills per day to keep away any cramps) but have heard that is good for the shakiness. I also hear of some suggesting others. I don't recall what they are, but I just brought up a few old threads about supplements here:
few more questions You may want to check out those old thread I posted. While on hcg I don't feel hungry. I don't have stomach cramps. I don't feel like I cannot go out. Sorry you are feeling that way. I hope it goes away soon. Last edited by dawnyama; 09-09-2012 at 02:40 PM.. |

I am taking potassium, calcium, multi-vitamin, vitamin D, magnesium and getting some super B12/lipotropic (sp?) injection from the clinic once a week that's supposed to help with everything.
I'm getting curiousier and curiousier about hHCG, man. I'm naturally just so skeptical, that I fear my skepticism alone would cause it to fail, but you guys are making me wonder. |

Maybe you are just detoxing. I know you were doing JUDDD before hcg. Was it a low carb JUDDD? You might just be detoxing from wheat/sugar/carbs. That is what it sounds like to me now that I think about it more. A lot of folks who begin with the low carb WOE feel the very same way--almost flu like because of the "icky stuff" leaving your body. I am sure it will go away. Just stick with it.
The only other thing I can think of.....you are having yeast issues. Your body is detoxing from candida. I know that a couple of years ago we had a poster on here (she was in the rogue threads) who had a terrible time in P2 because it would cause yeast die off. It was killer too. Her name was Paula. She didn't lose much on P2 because of those issues. I bet that is what is going on!!!! I know that ShelbyLA has had issues of that sort too. She may have done a cleanse before starting P2. See if she has anything to say about it. I think she is in the P3 threads now that her round is over. Last edited by dawnyama; 09-09-2012 at 03:25 PM.. |

It was a mostly low carb JUDDD. Not entirely, but pretty much. Very little fruit, virtually no bread, flour, pasta, etc with the exception of maybe a half slice of whole grain bread every two days. Maybe half a sweet potato once a week. I'm not a desert eater. And before JUDDD, I did Dukan. No carbs other than low-carb veggies.
Robin Woodall thinks it was the intermittent fasting leading right into HCG, which to her, meant I needed more loading. But I'm losing, so I'm not sure Paula's story applies. I will search it. Last edited by buttah; 09-09-2012 at 03:36 PM.. |

I ended up doing a third loading day today. I'll probably hate myself for it tomorrow on the scale but it felt like the right thing to do. My period is in full force and I'm miserable with it. I woke up with a sore throat this morning. Then had a bit of family drama this afternoon so it's probably just as well that I didn't jump into VLCD today.
It's funny though b/c I think the hcg might be kicking in b/c I was less hungry than normal. I had a cheeseburger for lunch. Then had salmon with basil butter for dinner, ate a whole lot of this since it's one thing we love and I won't be able to have for awhile. I ate a piece of chocolate and a couple of peanut butter cookies as a snack this evening. I have now hidden/removed the items that will tempt me to deviate from plan. Then I spent this evening cooking food for the next several days and dividing/chopping veggies. I drive about 40 minutes each way to work each day and usually work long days so it's best to have as much done as I can before starting my work week. Tomorrow will officially be VLCD #1 and I'm hoping I'm prepared. |

Reddy, I will try to find those sections for you, since I just read them.
As for the "I know I can weigh that - I weighed it at my wedding" feeling, pregnancy, childbirth and just age take a toll. We can't always comfortably weigh what we did at our wedding, or in HS. Sure, people who've been thin their whole lives often do, but frequently even those women are slightly bigger later in life, even if doing nothing different. Someone recently posted about the Dr. Dukan "true weight." You can go to the diet's website (I did this diet, and it was great for a while, but I got bored) and calculate yours - every pregnancy (including those like one of mine that went tragically far, then ended) counts and raises your "true weight." Mine came in around 144 - I'm 55, and only 5'4", three pregnancies, two kids. It also asks for things like your highest weight, etc. One more question. Today, I've had all my protocol food, except one melba/bread stick (don't love those, and they don't help much), and my calories total 404. What does one do in this instance, if still hungry? (I'm okay, now, but I've got a couple hours until bedtime.) Little more protein (what I have been doing, but my clinic said don't go over 8 ounces a day)? Veggies? What? I'm sure you guys must bump into this. If I'm starving, I want my whole 500 calories! Last edited by buttah; 09-09-2012 at 07:12 PM.. |

Going to check out the true weight thing. Sounds interesting.
I was 29 when I got married and I'm 32 now but I'm sure that the pregnancy has changed my body and I may never get back to or be able to maintain 148. We'll see. I had a c section which I've heard makes it harder to tone your stomach again? Not sure if it's true. Feeling hungry tonight but maybe not AS bad as yesterday. So perhaps upping the dose is helping but in reality I shouldn't feel ANY hunger... And I do, so I'm still not comfortable or happy with this. But I'm going to do my best to push through. As for coming in low on calories, my clinic said you can eat the extra calories in Veggies. If you had to, you could do protein too but not fruit. I'm still hungry right now and trying to figure out what I could eat to take the edge off... no clue what to eat though. Last night i "cheated" and ate the other half of my grapefruit and still was down a lb today so... I say eat something and use your calories! |

ladies!! I'm home from my fun stay-cation!! You wouldn't believe it if I tell you what the scale said this morning. I did bring it on myself, I really ate this week!! Like crazy eating, day in, and day out!! Well, only 3-4 days of being really bad . I gained 10lbs this week!! AHHH! I did a GYCD today for my 2nd "official" load day. Ironic, isn't it? But, all things considered, I feel much better. I was all bloated and full feeling. I feel much better. I'm actually looking forward to VLCDs. I sure hope I feel this way for the next 23 days!! ![]() Chantel-hope you're feeling better!! Buttah and Reddy-hope your hunger subsides. That really stinks!! I was really hungry my frist round 2 years ago. I was on the drops and followed protocol to a "T". No lontions, makeup, etc. I was misearable, cold, hungry and grouchy. But I lose weight! I now do the pellets, and feel so much better wtih them!! I would think Rx would give you your best hunger suppression and losses. Reddy-you may be low on fat to lose. That makes a lot of sense. I'm sure I'll have slower losses this time around. But I sure hope the 10lbs of loading weight goes quickly!! I've certainly got abnormal stores, but we'll see. Each round is different. So, as we're sitting by the pool today, I remind dh that I will be starting a new round tomorrow. Dh drops this on me, he doesn't want me to lose any more weight! He serioiusly thinks I'm thin enough. That's a nice place to be. I am not unhappy this size but am still padded. I will see where I get. But I do have a great support system and encouraging family. I'm very blessed! Here's a cute pic of us at the pool today.

Hi everyone. Every once in a while, I read these threads and stick my nose in. I did rX hCG to lose my weight and have maintained well for a long time.
I did hCG under a doctor's supervision, so my doses were administered by a doctor. My dose of hCG varied greatly from round to round. One round I needed well over 200 to control my hunger. Another round 125 did the trick. When I needed to move up in dosage, I could feel some relief immediately. When I needed to move down, I did the "skip a day" method and it took longer to feel the effects of the change, although I did feel better before I felt right. If you would like more help with this, PM me, because I probably won't be back to this thread. I won't remember which one it is. LOL |

Sleepy-you sound good!! And motivated!! Today is my VLCD1 too!!
. Hope you lose well!! I'm ready to lose!! I am actually longing to feel lighter and emptier. I also look forward to a flatter belly again!! I love that part of P2. I just had my coffee, black but heavily sweetened w. AS. That's the only way I can drink it w.o. my beloved cream in it!! I am feeling strong and motivated today. I just hope this feeling lasts, and the scale is kind. Dawn-you're a week ahead of me again!! Is your siggy up to date? You're so close girl!! ![]() |
