VlCD3 and I lost the loading weight!!! Phew!

So I'm down almost 8lbs in 2 days! I drank a TON of water and tr yesterday which I'm sure helped!

As of this morning I'm .6 over LIW so I'm ready to start losing some real weight!!! We're taking family photos for my sons 1 year next week and I'd love to be below 160 for those! I think it's possible! 5lbs in the next 7 days... Here we go!

You can rid yourself of those 30 and we'll all be here to support you!

Dawn, hang in there. Your first 2 days were crazy fantastic! Tomorrow I bet the scale will be blessing you once more.

Scale is down 1 lb for me today for a total of 5.7, I'll take it I have shopping to do since it is my dd's bridal shower this weekend. I need a dress to wear and her gift so gonna be busy. I think I'll be hitting up Jimmy Johns for another unwich for lunch, then the filet I was going to have last night.

Nice to read everyones day to day.

I had a terrible night again with a sore back and sore throat/cough. I am on a handful of meds. Bummer.

Woke up early by a long distance phone call, got up and yapped for a half hour while I drank decaff. Realized I didn't weigh. Oh well.

I would say all of us our seeing our tummy's shrinking a bit. I can see it in my face all ready and my stomach ( upper).

Keep working it!

Those meds can really stall you. I remember when I was doing atkins and I didn't know that Dayquil and Nyquil had carbs and I took it day and night for a week. And of course I didn't lose any weight and I actually put on lb or two despite being under 20 carbs a day!

I hope you feel better soon!

Good morning ladies,
Just checking in.
I was only down .8 yesterday, so I was very happy to have a 2.2 loss this am.
8# down, 17# to go.
I am so happy with how this round is going. I have not had any problem sticking with plan and protocol.
I find it so much more helpful to have my head in the game and keep it in the game.
I also find it helpful to have my menus pre written, so easy to follow and not get off track, no cheating.

What is making this round successful for you?

Have a wonderful day!

Winders That is awesome!

I'm down 0 today and pretty bummed about it!

I had cabbage and broth yesterdy and I'm wondering now if one or both of those could have affected me? Wish I knew for sure bc I'd really be bummed if I can't have cabbage. I already know Tomatoes cause me issues so my veggie options feel so limited.

Today I'll avoid those things and see what tomorrow brings- although I did want to have chili tonight which means tomato! Sigh.

Reddy,
Are you drinking alot of water?
I am really drinking as much as I can and that seems to help with salt issues from foods.
Just keep on keepin on!
If you are doing the right things, you will get the right results.
There are fluctuations on the scale on this plan that can be very discouraging, but, if you know you are on plan, expect to see a whoosh soon :-)

Wishing you the best!

Thank you! I know and I get it I'm just bummed bc I gained too much loading so i haven't really started losing yet! I know it will come off I just wish I knew for sure If it was a normal stall or cabbage related. I'm gonna look at my notes from R1 bc now that I think about it- I think this happened last time too! So it's prob normal!

And yes tons of water and tea! Tons!!

Thanks Reddy. I wish I could say I feel better today. But alas, this is hanging on.
I am down 7.8 as a total. We shall see how I do. And sorry to say, cabbage and Braggs, not a good losing combo for me. I hope it is not the same for you. It tastes good!

Winders,
I would say for me, just so this is the right time to lose as I finally do not have a ton of interruptions. Summer is just a very difficult time. I hope we both get to 145 this round! Looks like Reddy wants to as well! Come on 145ers! hahha

Hi all who check in. Happy Friday.

Plan, prepare.....its the weekend. Don't let it undo all your hard work!

Just stopping by with a quick hello! Off to shop for wedding stuff today so busy, busy, busy.
Scale sts! grrrr...oh well, it was bound to happen. Still happy with results and just going to chug along. In fact, the lack of chugging water probably is what caused the scale number. Hmmm...have a great one!

Dropping in to say I dropped 0.4 lbs. I am pleased because I have lost 7 lbs (+or- 0.5 lbs) in only 5 days. I am on day #5 too! So that is only really 4 days of low calorie eating. I am very happy!!!! I have had cabbage the last 3 nights for dinner. Might switch it up tonight with another veggie.

So thrilled for you. I want this to be your round!

I had to get an xray today. Doc thought I had a chance of pneumonia as my oxygen was out of range. I only have bronchitis but seriously, I feel so much better. Antibiotics are so strong! They work on me instantly. I also have a UTI which is a bummer. Drinking a lot of liquids today.

I wonder how much veggies everyone eats? I ate a lot more then I usually do. I ate 4 cups of kale (its in the cabbage family) with lemon and a pinch of pink salt. Delish. But is 4 cups a lot compared to everyone else I wonder.

I've had at least two cups with every meal (cabbage, spinach, celery, cukes, stuff like that, anyway).

My hunger issue is so much better today! Please see my post in the P2 thread and help me figure out why so I can keep it this way? I don't want to put the same thing in two threads.

Are you guys kidding me???!!! I barely get maybe a 1/2 cup!!! Well, I do have a big salad--but that is only because Chick Fil A makes it!! LOL. I eat it only when I work so it is not every day. But I do not like veggies. I eat a 1/2 cucumber when I have them for my veggie. I will eat a tomato, or an onion. But generally do not eat much of them at all. Do not like them and probably won't in the future.

OMG I'm so hungry. Why am I so hungry this round. Day 3 and I have total cravings and hunger. Did NOT experience that ever on round one.

Drinking tea like crazy but it's not quite cutting it! I do have a few celery sticks left so I'll eat those and hopefully it will help!

My 2nd round was the same way. Hated every moment because I was soooo hungry. I get what you are going through. The only thing that helped me was seeing the losses on the scale. That and knowing I would be done in 21 days. Here you go, you need one or a few of these.....

Let me add that I tried every trick and tip that was given to me. I upped my dose, lowered my dose, ate all day, ate only 2 times in a day, had tea.....yada, yada, yada. Nothing helped. Nothing at all. The only thing that helped was going into P3. The very first day of P3 I couldn't eat I went from being hungry 24/7 to being stuffed 24/7. Very not funny

The only thing that sort of helped me was the boxed chicken broth (fat free) with some chopped up celery. I was nervous about the sodium (it wasn't the reduced kind), so I watered it down by about a third. Green tea helped a bit, too, but not as much as the broth.

Yes, started off way bad but muddled through. You crack me up with your veggie stance! You know, some people just don't like 'em. That is okay!

Reddy...go read Buttahs posts. Maybe you need a wee bit more protein?

Food is done for the day, it is 6:15.

Oh man I hope I'm not going to continue to have this hunger the whole time. I mean it is only 23 days but STILL. Part of what I loved last time was that I wasn't hungry and didn't even think about food. Now every commercial, everytime I see my husband eat etc my mouth waters.

Did you experience that in future rounds Dawn or just the first.

As for upping protein, I could but I'm scared to! Who knows I may be down tomorrow. (Man I hope so)

But I am hoping to keep the hunger at bay. Seems to hit me the most at night.

Reddy--I will share a tip that I got. There is a tea called "Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life". The brand is Yogi. I bought it on the recommendation of a poster here some time ago. It is used to "help suppress appetite" and it also says energizing. I found it at my Walmart I believe. I bought it a while ago and have opened it, but do NOT recall if it worked or not. I am sorry to not be more help, but maybe you can find it and it will work! She swore by it though. So I was hopeful. Will have to try it this weekend! We have a college football game tomorrow and everyone will be munching on "stuff". I need all the strength I can muster to not partake.

Reddy, I upped protein ounces by using the leaner proteins and still keeping my calories under 500. Depending on the protein, once or twice it gave me 4.5 ounces! A couple of times I had a "snack" of some of my protein.

Although yesterday, my calories got to 535-545 (with Robin's approval, mind you, but she says if your hunger is that bad, you are in starvation mode, which we don't want.) That was the only day I was over 500. (She actually does not believe in counting the calories, but that's a bigger story.)

She told me to eat a hardboiled egg this morning if I was hungry, and at about 10am (I waited - coffee alone was fine at first for the first time in 6 days), and that was a Godsend (although I gave half the yolk to my dog). As I said somewhere, that too could be why I am fine today.

Robin said DO NOT try to put off your meals, allowing yourself to get even hungrier. Eat when you are hungry, and for me, that did not allow waiting until lunch to have more than a piece of fruit.

That and the broth. I hope that helps. There's more in my other posts.

Oooh that's tough. I barely did anything social 1st round bc it was hard. The few times I did I got through it bc I wasn't hungry so it was more just fighting the urge to want to eat the yummy food in front of me. This time with my hunger I imagine it's going to be Really tough!

Sunday I have a birthday party and a baby shower! No doubt I'll have a lot of temptation. Give me strength! As for that tea thanks Im going to look for it.

So again curious, after round 2 have you found you're still hungry? Like did you only have no hunger your first time?

I know this is always a hard time of year.
Thank you for remembering Stevie! Yes, we are doing a service on the night of 9/11. I will be participating in a wreath laying ceremony so we have "practice" on Mon. Staying here in South Carolina, as usual. DH was just saying last night that he wanted to get back to NY one year. That would be nice. Hard to do with the kids in school though. One year we will get to see that memorial. Yes this week will be difficult.....it always is. Thanks again.

Thank you! All of that makes sense. Interesting about the not putting of meals. My friend who turned me on to HCG said she had to eat at the exact time everyday and she would not get hungry but if he varied it too much it would leave her really hungry!

I may try an up my protein. As for the egg do you eat just one in place of your protein? The plan I have does not allow eggs although I know it's part of original protocol.
