Lol!! The good "old" days on hcg? I wasn't as close to goal as you ladies, so I'm happier where I am now
but I did love the losses. 19-20lbs in 21 days? I'd be seriously thrilled with that!!I am 149 today, and only 5'6". But I'm pretty muscular w. a large frame, so another 10lbs would look great on me. I don't look awful at this weight, all things considered. But since I'm already here, I'd love to see if I can get down a bit further. I wonder what I'd look like in the low 140's or dare I dream of seeing the 130's? Now I'm just getting greedy .Dawn-that's a good decision. Save your juice for when you're in the "zone". An Old Timer's round? Sounds like a plan!! ![]()

I know! Almost 2 years?
wouldn't it be nice to be at an all time low in our 2 year anniversary? I'd love it! I'm not even sure what my goal weight will be for this round? I'm happy to finally BE in the 140's! It'd be a miracle to see 13X on the scale. I'm gonna try for it. My body may resist with only 7.5 weeks btw rounds, but I feel stable ![]() |

Cindy ![]() Your support during those times was so appreciated. You always cheered us on through thick and thin. It did not go unnoticed! I did really well after some private coaching but had some very tragic events take place that threw me for a spin. Then back to back travel and summer good times. I am probably 155-158? I think my goal will be to get to 140 and stable at 145. Anything lower would be lovely but knowing what I know about myself, I just wouldn't be able to maintain it. lol, Dawn...old timers cracks me up. Julie, I would love for you too see 13X! Its a thrill! So one thing I have failed to do for a few rounds was to measure. I am going to measure this go around and take pictures. I have my DD baby shower Oct 6th and would like to be on P3 by then for sure. So thinking I will do a long round to get where I wanna get! ha Manders, I have had so many redo rounds and such, for me too it feels like its been a long journey. I would love to say this will be my last round but truth is, I just have a time stabilizing. I have a million excuses for that. Hoping to one day stop repeating the same cycle. Hang in there hon! |

I'm looking forward to maintaining in the low 140's for life, but am really excited to SEE 130anything!! Even just for a day or so would be exciting!! Miles from where I started!!
Vacation Fri, going to try and stay clean. Low carb isn't working well for me. I keep gaining even on plan right now . Gonna try even amounts of carb, fat, and protein today. I'm sure I'll be up in to 150ish after loading but hopefully I'll at least lose well. I got 19lbs off (including loading weight) last round. Should be workable, but my body has a rebellious streak!! |

I have a trip to Mexico mid Oct. I will have a week or 2 of P3 under my belt by then, but that will be my biggest challenge this next round. I seem to not respond well to CDs anymore. I drop 1 lb, and the next day it comes right back, with friends.
hope my body can stick to this lower weight. It sure is nice feeling "normal"!! |

Julie,
I know with straight low carb, it doesn't work for me either. I know that once I hit 44 ( I am almost 49), what worked before just stopped. Maybe age, maybe hormones. No fun! I am taking my RX Sunday and Monday. VLC will be Tuesday. Is that your official start date? 19 pounds would be awesome for a round! The hard part will be stepping on the scale and weighing in but I have to do it! This will be my last round for 2012 I do believe so I am really pondering my game plan. I was not going to weigh daily but I am rethinking it. I am afraid I will color out of the lines too much. Don't forget to take pix and measurements, even just for yourself! |

I'm a bad measurer! I will have pics as we're in vaca while I load. This'll be my last round too, and I'll weigh daily. I lose focus and motivation if I'm not!!

Stevie---I am going to start my VLCD on Monday. I have my 3 day weekend Fri, Sat and Sun. I believe I will be working on Monday so a great day for me to start the VLCDs. No family around to tempt me LOL.
I cannot wait!! I feel like a beached whale right now and have not even taken the pellets yet! oh my. That is why I won't be loading---just eating normal. We are going to Golden Corral on Sat, and that is an all you can eat buffet. So I am sure I will be loading even though I say I won't ![]() ![]() I might even eat so much that I might start the VLCDs on Sunday. That would be even better. What are your plans for the weekend? Any parties?

Julie--I hope you get things sorted out. I cannot imagine being in the same boat you are in. I know my failings/troubles in maintenance mode is that I introduce sugar and I have to stay away. But I don't learn from the past--just repeat the same mistake EVERY SINGLE round. I would hate to be spot on and following the instructions and gain. That is very disappointing. Maybe it is a sensitivity to something you are eating every day. If you eat something like eggs every morning- why don't you eliminate it for a week and then reintroduce them? Or whatever food you have EVERY DAY. I would suggest a food intolerance. For me it is a food group intolerance !!!! I cannot have sugar in any form. That just brings out the beast in me.

Don't forget that we can have food intolerances in P3/P4 as well as P2. If they didn't treat you well in P2, then they may be "it" for you in maintenance as well. Have you ever thought to laser foods? I have done that once I was done with a round and don't recall having a sensitivity to that food when I was done lasering them. Plus my family had a fabulous time laughing at me while doing it LOL. If I were you I would laser those eggs!

I think I may start my VLCDs on Sunday. I feel as big as a house right now. I am awful and miserable. I am eating what I want and know that it isn't going to work when I am done with P2. I have to stick to P3 and then go to JUDDD for P4. I HAVE to have a plan for good. I cannot just eat whatever because that doesn't work for me.
I just made this the other day and it is dangerous....Shugary Sweets: Oreo Peanut Butter Dip Oh my!! I know that I cannot have this again LOL. But for loading----oh yum!! Last edited by dawnyama; 08-30-2012 at 04:04 AM.. |

Hey ladies!! I miscalculated my stay-cation. I don't check in until Sunday, thought it was tomorrow for some reason? Even had the housesitter lined up for Fri-Fri. So, I'll load NEXT weekend and start VLC Mon. the 10th. It'll put me in early P3 for my Mexico mission's trip mid-Oct, but will still make good use of Dh's trip in late Sept and have me all the way through P4 before my trip to CA in mid-Nov.
I'll be a week behind you guys but still w. you. I also feel like this is an ideal time to do it. I'll be pretty strict, but allow any AS I like, and mix my veggies. I may add half/half on my 2 VLCDs w.o. hcg. But that'll be it. ![]() |

Loading starts today, as I figured it would make VLCD1 Sept 1 which is kind of neat and clean. See my "I just did my first injection" thread, and I be with you all right after Labor Day!

Julie
Just scrolling through my facebook tonight and saw a blurb about a test for sensitivity to a food. I don't know if you left on vacation or not yet, but I will post. Nope, see it is Sun you leave. It says to take a drop of food in question and rub it on the insides of your wrist before bedtime. Check for any redness or any irritation in the morning. It says that you have to check the whites of the eggs separately than the yolks as some are allergic to one and not the other. It is part of the "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride. Fawn recommended that I put Amy on the GAPS diet. This is it! Amy was having such stomach issues last year that included her having an ultrasound of her gallbladder. I have not done the GAPS diet for Amy, but would in a heartbeat if she was still having issues. |
