I use the 96% lean from Trader Joe's. I like it for P2. I will usually make up 2 packages which makes almost exactly 9 portions and cook four burgers for a week. That way I can eat them on the fly, cut them up in my salad, or heat them up for dinner. Last round, I had a really good time cutting a cooked burger patty into about 8 pieces then making mini sliders with mustard and cucumbers as the "bun" with them. Fun to eat and took a long time!

It's not really double Simeons fruit--200g of strawberries is about 8 large. 200g of apple is what I would consider a medium apple. I would still have a half grapefruit. I didn't eat oranges much--not a huge fan.

Julie - Thanks! I did travel last weekend and came back the usual 5 pounds up but I am working it down. I had some really weird fat loss right at the end of P2 (really REALLY weird! ) so I don't think 143 is bad at all. Still about ~0.5 over my window but it's all good. Stuff is "filling back in!"

Hmmm. Couldn't find the 96% at my Trader Joe's. But good to know it exists!

Good Morning Ladies,
Well, I am up .04 but not sweating it.
DH and I are going to finish pressure washing the house today.
The extra activity should help.
Still waiting for my woosh!

Have a great day!

Hi all.
Yesterday was tricky. I had a wicked headache and was very grumpy till way late in the afternoon. I ended up eating some things trying to feel better. It made me very nauseous. Milk is the only thing that works for me so I had some. sigh...TOM is here and I have been sick so maybe it was a combo of all going on. Today will be better I hope. Day 14 for me.

I wore a size 6 jeans yesterday but they were snug still in the hips, just not where I want to be otherwise, I would end the round next week. I am going to start back at the gym next week as I take my son as well (it is part of his home school PE if you will besides swim class) so I have to go. I miss lifting and walking. Since I don't micro manage the scale, I am ok with bringing my exercise back in for P2.

Anyway! Going to a friends house after DS tackles some academics to swim. Supposed to be a hot day here in So Cal.

Have a great day all.

Stevie I was grumpy yesterday too!

I STS this morning and I'm not happy about it. ESP bc TOM will be here in a few days and last round I did not lose a single oz while on TOM. So what's the point. Debating calling the round but would like to hit 155 first. The. I would have lost about 10lbs. Not fantastic but not too bad either.

Reddy, I am so sorry you are still struggling! What did the final pregnancy test say? And your clinic? Surely they have advice for the rash at least?

I have not yet weighed this morning. But I'm blissfully not starving anymore. It's all I wish for you. But know that you may dip dramatically after TOM. That's what I do.

reddy - hope you figured out if your hcg is good

stevie - 10 lbs with TOM sounds great

buttah - I'm curious about how you feel the cottage cheese works for you b/c I would like to add that but have been hesitant

winders - good luck with JUDDD

julie - everytime I read about you having soup it makes me want some, it is so hard going out to eat with other people b/c they pressure you about food - there are a couple of people in my workgroup that make snide comments about me always getting salad and how I need to mix it up, it's not exactly the most enjoyable experience to sit there eating salad while they have pizza, pasta, subs, and stromboli so I wish they would just keep their mouths shut

Morning Ladies! sorry I haven't been around. This wedding is taking over my life
Scale is not being super nice but I'm down 8.1 so far I can definitely see the inches coming off in my upper body

Wishing everyone a great day and nice losses tomorrow!

I'm gonna' try to keep up w. this thread too, but totally understand it most of you just post on the P2 thread.

Reddy- BIG to you. Some rounds are just that way. I know you want to get to a certain # on the scale, but what does your body look and feel like? How are your clothes fitting? You're leaner now so the lbs may be less inclined to leave. There is definitely fat loss and inch loss.

Stevie- to you too!! Enjoy the swimming (wish I had a pool or at least friends who invite us over!!) I'm gonna' ramp up the exercise a bit too. Walking is usually safe. Tight 6 is still a 6 .

Buttah- I hope the beef works well for you. I feel more satisfied w. it and lose better for some reason .

Riss-good to hear you're doing well! soup!! And I even lost after havinng it!! YEAH!! I know that feeling while watching others indulge (dh is a great one to watch!!). Just be confident you're doing good things for your body and in the long run they're just jealous. Living well is the greatest revenge .

Winders-hang in there. You're doing well!

WW- stress is a killer!! Enjoy this hectic season and let the weight loss thing take care of itself. You'll stick to protocol and you'll get there.

I'm getting into the swing of this round. Hunger comes and goes, not awful, but no non-existent. Just to clarify . Manageable . I'm down 2.2 to 151.4- still way too high, but at least losing the load weight finally. Thought it would be quicker and easier, but it'll be what it'll be. Me stressing over it won't accelerate the loss, it'll likely slow it down. So, I'm letting go. I may even skip a few days weighing. We'll see. Trying to get to a relaxed state of mind over this round. But the sad thing I've realized is, that at this smaller size, 5-10lbs is an entire REAL size. Muffin top and all A great accountability partner to be sure!!

Shelby-yep, 5lbs from a trip is what I do too! Glad to see getting back to "normal" eating is getting you back down. Did the girls refill btw rounds for you? I think mine are making a slight comeback!! I hope they stick around and my tummy and thighs depart this time!! I'd love that!!

Walking Woman I totally understand the stress that comes with planning a wedding. I got married in Jan 2010 and had a pretty big wedding that was a year in the making. For a year I lived and breathed nothing but wedding. My mother and I have very different taste so I really took on the task myself (with my husband who happens to have really good taste and is great with design and art) It was sooo stressful. Then in Dec 2009 we decided to buy and close on a house. Doing that one month before the wedding was so insane. And I was also working on weight loss at the time.

So hats off to you, I know how stressful it can be. The wedding is in a month or so right?

Buttah I'm so thrilled to hear you have your hunger under control. I hope to be there soon. It is good to have had you here going through something similar but I"m happy that you're no longer suffering!

I Upped my dose to 30 units this morning. WE'll see. I haven't gotten a preg test yet but we're going to pick one up today. I am pretty sure that when tom comes next week I can expect a huge stall so I'll likely end the round a bit early. No sense in fighting a losing battle. I know I could expect a woosh after TOM but I'm pretty sure that when TOM would be over my round would be too anyway.

Julie, I know the number on the scale is not everything so I'm trying to keep that in mind. I kind of thing my tummy is finally going down some although it's still quite bloated looking. Like when I look down I can't see what's below it bloated. Not the best feeling. But I see slightly more definition in the area and so I figure I'm probably losing inches. I didn't measure before this round but I did measurements last time so I should probably see where I'm at by comparison. Doubt it's much but maybe?

It does seem like many of us are having difficult rounds and not seeing hte kinds of numbers we want but it's probably b/c so many of us are close to goal. At least we have each other to keep motivated right?

For sure!

And I too understand if some of you want to stop posting here and go to P2. No worries. I like both threads as I learn so much from you all.

Julie,
what a bummer that even after all those weeks, exercise still does that to you.
If I don't exercise, I get pulled muscles and pinched nerves really easy. I have to keep it up. My grandma rolled over in bed and broke a rib. She had terrible health issues. It reminds me to keep at it for sure. You weigh less then I do. I think we are the same size, right? If I can get to153 bu end of this round, I will be stoked! I am going to have to work super hard to get to the 140's....sigh.

Hi all. Love reading your day to day experiences.

Off to Trader Joes and then swimming.

Have a wonderful day.

I am not buttah, but I have had cottage cheese in my rounds. I love it!! I also do well with it, on the losing side. I eat 4 oz (I am lazy and don't want to weigh out 3.5 oz, so I just put it in a half cup measure ) for a meal. I do not ADD it in addition to my menu. It is one of my proteins for the day. When I choose to use cottage cheese, I lose well with it. I really do enjoy it, and I have it a few days a week. Oh, and I choose low fat, not the fat free kind.

Yes, I agree!! I had a rough start (even though I lost weight I just wanted to eat when TOM arrived) so I took a brief break. Now I am restarting and have to re-lose weight I just have this pattern of starting, then not doing well, then giving up. At least I am not giving up! TOM is over and I don't have any events to attend for the next 3-6 weeks. So I am good to go

My co-worker still is asking "why do you want to lose weight? You are so skinny!!". She sees me in my Chick Fil A uniform every day--not my "regular street clothes". So she doesn't see my love handles and such. I have large upper arms and when I am on the hcg they slim down noticeably. The only thing that targets those fat deposits!! So I am doing this for the slimming effect. Need to have fat deposits gone!!!!

Morning ladies! Scale is not cooperating this morning and is up .4 but that's not much. I think I was lacking in water yesterday so I'll up it back up today. Hard to get all my water in when I'm out shopping. Not a fan of public restroom, lol. I just ordered some intermountain pellets. Hope I like them. My drops are ancient and I'm wondering about their optimum performance so figured why not give the pellets a try? we shall see if I think they make a difference in my losses when they arrive. I miss the hcg amazon days. Fast delivery and all. Not sure what I'm having today but since I don't have anything other than hcg legal foods in my house, should be easy DBF keeps trying to talk me into going out but aside from Jimmy John's no thanky! He leaves for Cabo in less than 3 weeks and keeps 'talking' about dieting mostly while he's consuming a starbucks sugary concoction with whip, etc.

Congrats, Dawn! Hey, can you check out my "Biz smoothie" question in the "what are you eating today" thread?

Down .7 today. I don't seem to average a half pound a day, but I'll take it. My fat loss monitor (if I can trust it) showed I was down more than that in fat though, which is all that really matters.

You had it in addition to your 2 servings of protein, right? I'm curious how that impacted the scale, but have you weighed since? Inquiring minds want to know .

Mine hasn't been working out at all!! I think he still looks good, but 2 years ago he broke his collar bone while mountian biking. He was finally into working out and looked great, lots of muscles. I was happy . Since then, some settling has occurred and he's a tad soft in the middle. I was just telling him last night that the middle isn't bad, it's that the upper body has gotten smaller b/c he's not lifting anymore. He'd like to get back to it and hopefully once I'm back at the gym more he'll want to also.

WW-I stopped by AJ's salad bar last night for "dinner". Got some of their chicken, some salad and a splash of their balsamic vin. It was yummy, cheap and good on the run. I'm finding ways to eat out more easily as I get into more rounds. Too hard to avoid social eating, even for only 3 weeks! Oh, and I LOVE the pellets. So much easier and I think more effective. Good aminos and B vits too!!

Dwan-woohoo!! you go girl!! I've noticed I like the way I look and feel on the hcg. I feel leaner, and have a general sense of wellbeing and contentment. At least until the end when I get lightheaded and hunger .

I will prob also be having cottage cheese today. We're supposed to go hiking today and that's nice and portable for the cooler . I have chicken breast lunchmeat, but dh will prob eat all of that.

I'm down 0.8 which was a pleasant surprise. I expected small to nothing after a few nice days in a row. Maybe my typically nice first week losses were just delayed a bit? I kinda did a GYCD as my second loading day after my week of indulging. That would add up.

Julie, down .7 today (didn't weigh yesterday - but I had the cottage cheese the past two days). Mind you, I was under or close to 500 calories both days, having had less fruit or "bread" to make up the difference, albeit unintentionally. My body really wanted the protein more than the carb/sugar. Having said that, I honestly don't think the cottage cheese made me lose more or less. I think I just am where I am, and that is losing slower than the first week.

Congrats on your loss.

Perusing Biz's site for fun, and she seems to have had success with cottage cheese w/ herself and clients. YMMV.

Yes, and she says low fat not fat free ( I am an old client of hers) and no carrageenan in the product. Her latest newsletter as well. I could not find cottage cheese without so she said to use greek yogurt or no dairy at all in the shakes.

All is well here. Just plugging along.

Neither my Knudsen low fat or no fat list carrageenan, although I spotted it on a container of HWC (not using that anyway.) I may have to try this shake today. But first off to the clinic to pick up my week's shots, and since they're weighing me, I think I'll eat after! Did she specify 0 fat greek yogurt?

No, she said not to ever use fat free products. Only low fat...good luck on your weigh in.

I see the old menu thread is back up, thanks Dawn I am going to spend some time reading it again because I am wondering about my veggie choices this round. I did so well my first round and did tons of spinach and asparagus. Hmm..things that make a girl wonder...I may have to hit the market today and get some and lose the broc and so much salad greens. I used cukes a bunch too. Having cukes with cuke sliders for lunch and cukes with chicken breast for dinner

Cukes are one the best for losing. I slice them up and soak them in Apple Cider Vinegar and keep in Tupperware. They last a good 5 days without getting too soggy. A great "go to: if you are really hungry or mental hungry. lol

Love that old thread! Thank you Dawn!

I do the best on celery, radishes and cukes.

Oh yeah, radishes too. Hmm. Maybe I'll make some p2 chili as well this week. Ok, i'm golden and going to make this week really spectacular and I'm losing the bigger pkgs of apples too. Need to have more strawberries and smaller apples sliced super thin for more chew factor

My DH says golden! Too funny. Yes, bigger apples...not good for me at all. I did do some strawberries this week. I have spinach and frozen berries to make the Biz shake too. May do that minus the dairy and just eat the animal proteins.

Lets make this week spectacular! Monday will be tricky for me as DH is off and wants to BBQ and such, we shall see what I can do to not cause too much damage. lol

Have a great Sat!
