l, after enjoying my soup immensely, when I plugged in into ****** it's more calories than I though
. I STS today w. 675cals yesterday . Oh well. Today is a new day. But, a moment to whine please, it's VLCD2 and I STS!!! We went for a 2.5 mile walk last night as a family. Ended up at the mall where dh and my dd's enjoyed some gelato. I had a lovely cup of water. And to reward me? STS!!! ![]() Ok, now that I have that out of my system, how are you guys? Good apple slices at Costco? Really? I'll probably get those. I got golden delicious and they're kinda mealy. A few weeks ago the same ones from teh same store were nice and crisp. Sigh. I love a crisp apple!! Thanks for the tip!! Hope you all were visited by the whoosh fairy last night. Please send her my way!!

Awww Julie I'm so sorry to hear you STS! At least you may know that the culprit was that soup!! Kind if helps to at least have a way to justify it and most likely if you stay on plan today you'll be down big tomorrow!
The walking could have done it too? While not serious exercise we know how that can effect you! I am down 2.2 today! Hello 150's! That certainly makes the hunger and stuff feel more worth it. Unfortunately I'm still fighting this rash. Took Lara's advise to use Vaseline and the itching doesn't seem quite as bad. But as I mentioned in the P2 thread we har my sons 1 year pics tomorrow and if it is bad I will have to cancel them. Ugh. Hope you all had good numbers this morning! Morning all. Thanks for the kind words. And yes, "goal" is so personal. But believe me, when I sit, plenty of chunk. I am hoping to get rid of the rolls. I also wear a bathing suit year round as we go to our vacation home often ( home school family). It motivates me to try and get lean.
What I also have learned is goal is very fluid/liquid...I have a hard time maintaining and regain 10 to 15 pounds. Boy would I love to stop that cycle. TOM was supposed to be here and I also played with my RX and lowered it. Bad idea.I was so hungry. I did eat some extra fat as I have in the past to try to calm the beast. So glad when bed time came. Feeling so much better too. A bit of a sore back still but off meds. I have 24 more days...I am hoping to be back firmly in my tight size 6. I think size 4 is just too small for me to hold anymore. Bummer too because I have some cute clothes. lol Food today: radishes, salsa, egg, egg whites, broth, water, frozen berries in a spinach shake with cocoa powder. ~ I will miss my kale and lemon but my teeth are hurting from the lemon! Since I don't weigh daily, I hope the woosh fairy stops at all of your homes very soon! |

!! Sooo glad at least the scale is rewarding you. Lara calls that the detox rash, so it's probably a good sign! Your body is burning your stored fat where all those toxins hang out! Hang in there!!! I am pushing ahead. It's only 3 weeks. We can do *anything* for 3 weeks, right? ![]() Chantel-not weighing? I'd take that today!! You're doing great. Quite a long round you have planned. And I think I'm in the same boat. A true size 4 will likely never work for me. I have 1-2 pairs of 4s that fit, but they're clearly vanity sized. They make me feel good though. I'd be happy to stay a true 8 at most stores. I'm kinda' an 8 now, but some are tight. I also need a good size window and I can gain 10lbs in a few days if I'm not careful. I too hope this round gets me low enough to maintain in the mid-140's. I have this fear that it's too soon after my last round to actually lose real weight. We'll see. So far, not good. Sigh. |

and take some weight with it. Bet you'll see a nice loss tomorrow. The apples are organic and in the refrigerated area and fabulous. A little pricey but I just had to try them. I don't know if I'll buy them again (unless I do an apple day) but fun to try different foods and keep things interesting imho. Convenient too if you have time issues.Quote:

That seems like crazy money to me. Do you steam the kale or do you make the chips? inquiring minds. ![]() Buttah, so glad you are doing better with the hunger! Scale is down today and I've lost 7.1 so far. Not too shabby. Still kinda ticked by my Melting Pot episode but gotta just let it go and I am pleased with the results, just not as fabulous as my first round. I was a saint then though so that clearly helped with my losses I'm eating boring this round and trying to focus on things other than the diet. I obsessed my first round and was very creative with my menues but this time I've got wedding planning, shopping and keeping bridezilla in line to deal with so it's easier to just go plain. Hope Dawn checks in soon Those anniversaries are very hard. Yesterday was the 46 month mark for me since my dh passed away and it isn't really any less painful for me. ![]() |

Congrats on the loss Walking Woman! Those kinds of temptations make it so hard to be social on HCG P2.
I avoid social situations like the plague when in this phase. I do have something coming up towards the end of the round and depending on where I'm at in the loss department I may or may not indulge a bit. I can't believe I'm considering a cheat - like you I was a saint the first round not a single oz of cheat but being hungry and whatever takes away from my focus. We have VIP seats behind Home Plate at a Tampa Bay Rays game. Includes free food and drinks and access to some amazing food in the club level as well. I've never done anything like that before (Friend gifted us the tickets) so I don't want to miss out on it. I feel like some experiences are more important than weight loss although I don't want to undo my progress. We'll see where my head is at when I get closer to that day. |

Reddy, that sounds like so much fun! If it weren't for my dd's wedding coming up shortly, I wouldn't have minded my little splurge but the recovery days weren't worth it with my timeline
Just this one time won't be a biggy but multiple situations and the makeup days could really impact my results. I think for me the big thing was I felt like I didn't have a choice sitting next to the hostess paying the big bucks for the melting pot and she'd have to pay for me regardless of my participation. I guess some people would have just sat there but I didn't want to be the Mother of the bride that didn't participate, ya know? Especially because the hostess is a family member of the grooms ![]() Just realized that many of us are at the midpoint of a normal round. How funny that I hadn't even thought about that as it seems time is flying by. Good! I want this weight gone ASAP! here's my boring menu for the day: 96 percent lean turkey burger, shredded lettuce with hot sauce for dressing and bag of apples Roast beef unwich with just lettuce, tomatoes and dijon mustard, water like a crazy woman, vitamins and lots of sleep with any luck ![]() |

I have had TOM this week, it kicked my butt, so I stopped the hhcg knowing I would have to get through yesterday and will do the VLCDs starting up again tomorrow. Just wasn't in the mood this past few days for VLCDs. *****Stevie--you are so petite and look fantastic!! Cannot imagine where your fat will come off of LOL. I am glad you are feeling a bit better.

Dawn-lovely pictures!! They do a great job w. that!! you look good girl!! I don't know where you think you've got weight to lose either!! I know you're petite, but you look good, healthy and slim!!
WW-I get that about the melting pot dinner. Sometimes social pressure outweight the diet. Hopefully you won't have many more situations to face before you're through. You're doing great!! I do better w. boring menus. Too much "fussing" seems to work against me. Reddy-yep, I become kinda' a hermit while in P2. That's why this window w. dh away is perfect. He makes it so hard on me sometimes!! That game sounds like a blast!! When we lived in the Tampa area (5 months back in early 2005) we went to a rays game. Really fun time!! And that's quite a setup!! See where you are when the time comes. I just made 10 meals on the grill. I decided if I was gonna' go out there to make the shrimp skewers I'd might as well make a few other things. SO, I made 6 burgers and 3 servings of NY steak. All measured, seasoned and cooked so I can just pop them in the micro for lunch or dinner. I had the shrimp for lunch w. a spinach salad They're so small and w.o. the shells I was able to have 20 of these little guys for my portion. Closer to 4oz instead of 3.5 but they're light on cals. I'lll be right at 500cals today. |

Julie,
yes, this round I am not counting calories (Sticking to 500 to 600 on average however from experience) nor am I weighing very much. I started to weigh but then I got sick and not I am on TOM so no reason too torture myself. lol Dawn, lovely pictures. You look great I think! Bless you and your family. I thought those photos were well done. walkingwoman, I buy raw kale. I either pull the leaves and put in large Rubbermade and keep it in the fridge or on P3, I bake them with olive oil and sea salt. Makes chips. Very addictive! A friend of mine makes raw kale, cinnamon, feta, cranberries and almonds. I think a sour apple or sliced strawberries would be a good idea too. So many choices. Kale is hearty, a bit bitter so if you have not had it, don't over buy. lol Hi Riss, Reddy, Sleepy, Buttah and all!! |

reddy - great drop! I hope the rash goes away soon, the VIP seats for the ball game sound really cool so I hope you can enjoy it
walkingwoman - i'm sure all the wedding stuff is a bit stressful so it's amazing that you're doing so well staying on track dawn - you look great in the pics, I'm sure that was a tough day for you and your family I think it's going to be best for me to avoid social situations during P2. I was reminded today that I have a work lunch tomorrow and we're going out for italia. I usually get the grilled chicken salad there but it has cheese, olives, and roasted red peppers that I'll need to tell them to leave off and definitely need to skip the bread. |

Good Morning Ladies,
Have not been posting the last few days. Glad to see all is well here. I am hanging at 161, hoping for a woos soon. Down 9# total half way point of my round. I am thinking of transitioning to LC JUDDD for P3. I have been reading alot of positive stuff about this WOE. I am a planner, I cannot fall off the wagon if I have a plan and stick to it. So I am planning this. Do any of you have experience with JUDDD? Hope you all have a wonderful day! |

Love JUDDD! Did it just for a few weeks right before I came here, and to be honest, I sometimes wonder if leaving it was a mistake. Yes, it was slower, but I was only hungry every other day (I have struggled with hunger on HCG) and in a way, not so much because I controlled what my 500 calories were, and I ate mostly protein, fat and veggies. Sometimes I think if I could trade the fruit and melba (the latter being a total waste of calories that I don't always have) on HCG for more protein and veggies, it would be SO MUCH easier. AND... eating pretty much whatever I wanted every other day, just no stuffing myself.
Anyway, there are many ladies who've switched to JUDDD for P3, and there are even a couple of threads about that over there if you search "titles" with HCG.

Buttah how is your scale today? Winders you're doing pretty well. I've heard good things about JUDD and may try it at some point in the future.
I'm down 4. today> Not too bad I guess but I am only down like 6 REAL lbs and I too am half way through my round. Not thrilled especially since I've been hungry and itchy. Rash is still here and bothering the heck out of me this morning. I just tried to test my HCG by putting some drops on a Pregnancy test. My understanding is that if it comes up negative, then the HCG is no good. Well I didn't want to waste too much so I only put a tiny bit and so the line was faint but it was negative. I tried peeing on it too and got negative still. I have a feeling I now know why I'm hungry. The HCG is no good. If so, I'm pissed and I am going to call the girl today to discuss it. Before I do, am I correct that it should have come up positive? |

Reddy, don't have my official weight yet, but my preliminary one shows me up .4 from yesterday. As predicted, mind you, since it's the day after a post-SM-Tea weigh in. (My theory is that SM Tea cleans you out, but takes some water with it, which you suck right back up the next day.) However, since I was down 1.4 yesterday, I guess that brings this 2 day average to .5 a day. Still not losing much this second week, though. Not enough to warrant what my body's been through.
Hunger is better, though. Reddy, is your hunger worse again? Peeing on the stick, from all I've read, will tell you nothing. But if the HCG on the stick (enough of it?) was negative, not a good sign. I can't imagine your clinic doesn't batch test, though. Make sure you had enough on the stick, even if it means wasting a dose! If it's still negative, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. |

Reddy-down 4 today? Is that 0.4? If 4, that's a LOT!! If you're gonna' use the pg test to check potency, you'll prob have to sacrifice a dose. If the stuff is bad, you'll be getting new batches anyway. In for a dime, in for a dollar. That's a very reasonable explanation for your hunger!! Let us know. Buttah-yep, that tea isn't worth it for me. I've found taking magnesium twice a day helps me feel better and keeps me moving along . No ups and downs. Hope you're at least STS today. JUDDD would work well for you after this round. C'Marie has done well this past round going right to it from P2. It doesn't work well for me. Felt too deprived after P2 and really overdid the UDs out of that sense of deprivation on the DDs. Many do very well with it and I love the idea of it!! Sounds like you've got a plan going there.Winders- if you're good with a plan and sticking to it I think JUDDD will do well for you. I couldn't make my DDs 500 after hcg, I felt too deprived. and then my UDs which were supposed to be about 2000 cals, became free-for-alls. I ended up gaining 3 lbs in 3 weeks and felt frustrated after sacrificing on my DDs only to gain in the long run. It really works well for many though. Give it a whirl and see how you do! I'm finally down a bit. 1.6 today, but still at 153.4. I'd like to get back to the 140's please. I was really hoping for those nice 2-3 lbs first day losses to quickly return me to my window from last round. Evidently my body isn't keen on my plan. So, I'll plug away and stick to the plan. I know it works, and has worked for even me, but I also worry that my body is getting wise to this plan and becoming more efficient. I tell you, come famine, I'll be the last girl standing. My body is HIGHLY efficient!! ![]() |

Ha! I wish it were 4! I meant to say 0.4!!!
Not that exciting! Tom is on the way for me too so I'm not thrilled by it! I know you were hoping for more Julie but you did pretty good so hooray for that! I too am way to close to where I was in P3! I thought I'd be down like 8-10 true lbs by now! Oh well. I hope to reach low 50's before it's all over. My 145 goal is not likely to happen. I am hesitant to give up a dose but then I figure I may end the round a day or so early anyway so maybe it's worth it to test it for sure. Have to buy another PG test. STevie, you're doing well considering all the obstacles you faced with being sick and on meds and TOM. We can all do this!!! Off to get my hair blown out. Pictures tonight. I bought this cute dress to wear but when I tried it on DH said he didn't love it. When I asked why he said it made me look wide in the hips. Oh well. I guess I"ll wear my new size 8 jeans. Just have to figure out a top that will go well. If i Have time may stop in a little boutique nearby. Just made a new P2 recipe. Chicken Pizzaola. It was pretty good and easy to make. I've been experimenting with new recipes all week and none have been a disappointment. Will have my fruit this afternoon b/c dinner will be late due to the photo shoot! Have a great day all! P.S. Yes I"m still hungry and itchy! ![]() |

STS after all.
Julie - Already taking magnesium, but I guess I'll try more. How many mg do you take? Does it make you go every day? Without SM, I don't go at all. And a scale down with TOM is always a big deal, no matter what WOE! Stevie, great loss! Reddy, my clinic is not stingy about syringes (gave me extra when we experimented with my dose) - I doubt yours will be either, given what you're going through. Per Robin, I had a bit less than 1/4 cup cottage cheese this morning. Making it from dinner one night to lunch the next day has been my biggest issue by far, and if I can do this, I will make it through the round. Robin said to use low fat (a bit more fat, less sugar and carb) rather than non fat (a bit less fat, more sugar/carb). Given that I don't eat beef much at all and only eat low fat proteins, I decided to try the low fat. Feel like I can cruise to lunch time now!! I hope this doesn't hurt me. My plan is to eliminate the Wasa crisp light calories for these calories (about the same) and see what happens. At least the CC is nutritious calories. And for teh 1/4 cup, it was only 1 gr of fat. I may eat a bit less protein for lunch or dinner. We'll see. Anyone ever tried cottage cheese? Last edited by buttah; 09-13-2012 at 09:53 AM.. |

And you guys who skip the lousy "bread" allowances - what do you replace the calories with? Without them, especially if I skip a fruit (which I also like to avoid), I'm coming in under 500 every time (once in the 300's - so I had the dang "bread," even though it does nothing for me) - and I NEED those calories!

Buttah- I usually have beef daily so I don't need to up my calories. I do 3.5-4oz of meat twice daily, 2 fruits, and 2 servings of veggies (aside from the occasional tomato or onion mixed into things). I am consistenly around 500 each day w. just that. W/ fish, I'd up the veggie cals. And I hope the CC helps. I just have coffee (black) until 10am when I allow my first fruit. Lunch 11:30 or later, I try to hold off as long as I can. Then I get hungry mid-day. I have lots to drink (even the occasional soda) and my second fruit. Then dinner 5:30ish. Thankfully, I don't get too hungry after dinner and drink plenty to stay full. I answered your mg ? on the P2 thread, but I take 2 300mg tabs each morning and usualy a third after dinner. I tend to get crampy otherwise. Keeps me moving (the coffee helps). I decided to have some of my soup for lunch. I have 1 serving (supposedly) left, but it's a big bowl of soup - broth, cabbage, tomatoes (I know, I'm a rebel mixing my veggies) and GB. There's only 3.5 oz of GB in the serving, but enough "soup" for 3 servings. So, I'm splitting a burger (4oz) into 3 servings and adding 1/3 to each "bowl". Guessing the beef content to come in around 3oz each bowl. We'll see what the scale says about it tomorrow. But it sure is yummy! |

Julie and Shelby - that is SO helpful, thank you!!!!
Julie I think I asked on another thread (and anyone else) - if you have ground beef, what percentage fat do you use? I know Berta said she has no issues with 93%, but I'm looking for other experiences as well before I break out the ground beef (I'm really not a beef eater, and would prefer things like ground beef taco recipes or even burgers to "steaks," hence the question. OOPS! Saw you answered me on the other thread - never mind! (unless anyone else wants to weigh in!) Last edited by buttah; 09-13-2012 at 01:27 PM.. |
