Should I do a planned interruption or ?

hello!

my mom is visiting me for a week on august 5th. i would be on VLCD 38 at the time.

i still have about 10 pounds to lose and i kind of don't want to stop

she makes such yummy food that its going to be tough to stay on protocol when she is here.

should i do a planned interruption or stop or?

if i do a planned interruption, do i stop taking hhcg for the week she is here and then resume when she leaves?

thanks for the help!

I would not do a PI, personally. I haven't seen a lot of luck with those but obviously it's your choice. If you read Weight Loss Apocalypse, it explains a lot more about the delicate hormonal balance going on during the VLCDs.

In any case, if you did do a PI, you would transition off the HCG just like you were moving to P3, so 2 VLCDs with no HCG (or 3 if you are on rx). You then eat P3 for up to 14 days. BUT you MUST eat P3 which means no sugars and no starches! I cannot stress enough how important this is! You really risk a lot of QUICK weight gain if you eat starches and sugars. It may or may not happen but again, I wouldn't risk it. After your PI days, if it is less than 14, you jump right back to the VLCD taking the HCG, no loading.

if you are already at 38 days just stop and transition to p3
stay on that for 3 weeks then you can jump right back to p2 if you want

ive done planned interruptions before and its really hard to get back on
besides having to lose already lost weight again sucks
