Apple Day Question

So I've decided to do an apple day today since I've only lost 1lb in the past 6 days despite following the protocol 100%.

I understand that I am not to drink any water other than to quench real thirst but am I able to make apple sauce? I have this great steamer/blender thing that I use to make my sons baby food and I thought I could use it to make some applesauce for myself but is it ok to use some Cinnamon and maybe a little splenda or no?

Thanks....

Also, can I have all 6 apples before I go to bed or is it important for me to eat one in the morning tomorrow before resuming normal VLCD?

I would think you could have them anyway you want them...applesauce or baked. I have had one baked on the one apple day I did. As for the morning thing...I would try to save one, but I would just see how you go. I don't tend to be hungry in the mornings, but that's just me. Hope it goes well!

Thanks Drew! I am not hungry in the mornings either so I think I'd rather eat them all today.

Do you think adding Stevia to the Apple Sauce would be a no no?

Adding stevia should be fine.

I have done many apple days and I never can eat them all. I usually get in 5 for the day and leave off the other one. Don't need it in the morning either. You will be surprised. I am just not interested in food when I do apple days. But do miss my coffee. Hope it works for you! They always did for me

I kept up with the coffee during my apple day. I think I would die (or kill someone else) without it.

I was just thinking, I don't know how I'm going to eat two more apples. I will probably be able to get one more down but I'm not hungry and after 4 they just don't sound so good to me.

Question though, if I did have my 6th in the morning would that count as one of my fruits for tomorrow? If so I'd rather not have it and just resume normal vlcd tomorrow with some other fruit choices.

That has never been made clear to me. I don't know the answer to that. That is why I have just skipped eating the apple in the morning. I wish I knew the answer

Ok thanks! I will eat one more tonight (soon) and then I'm done.

I'm missing my green tea today but it's almost over! I BETTER be down at least a lb tomorrow or I"m going to cry!

It's 11:30pm and I feel soooo bloated from this apple day and I'm so scared the scale is going to be up in the morning. I feel slightly dehydrated but not too bad but I seriously feel like I gained a few lbs today!

Please tell me that won't be the case in the morning!!

I have to admit that I drank quite a bit of water on my apple day and went down 4 lbs. Back up 1 this morning from no bathroom business, however that resolved itself lol

The apples act as a diuretic, so quite frankly the idea of not drinking much water doesn't make sense to me. Your body might be trying to hold on to the water.

I have never experienced that on my apple days. Each one of us will react differently to the apple days. I know of someone who called it a "crapple day" because that is the effect the apples had on her. She said if anyone was not able to use the restroom on P2 an apple day would surely fix that and clean you out good because she could not get out of the bathroom all day long! So we each will have our own reaction to the apple day. Hope you are down this morning! It surely will make all your efforts worthwhile.

Even after the apples, I STILL can't go. So annoying. Pre-HCG I went daily. (TMI?)

I kind of wonder Manders if I would have drank water yesterday if I would have done even better. The lady I got my HCG from said to drink water on Apple day but I didn't since everyone else said not to.

The good news is that it worked and I shed 1.6lbs. Would have LOVED 4lbs like you Manders. Lucky girl!

I admit to use laxatives. I can't eat lettuce or any sort of leafy green, so I basically am SUPER limited to a few select low fibre veggies.
