No Worries at all Christy. In fairness I didn't really respond to anyone else's posts yesterday.

I haven't been on a computer just posting from my phone since I'm out of town so it's hard to write too much.(also responsible for typos)

Don't have a scale here so I have no clue where I'm at and won't be able to weigh until mon morn. Scary. ESP bc I can't tell which choices are effecting me

Menu for day 2 will prob be eggs and cheese with coffee for breakfast and then I think I'll brave a bunless cheeseburger for dinner with a glass of red wine (gasp) - it's my grandmothers 93rd bday so there's reason to celebrate. If hungry mid day maybe a piece of Fruit or some turkey!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and weekend! Will try and check in later today!

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Well, it finally caught up w/ me! I had more cals and carbs yesterday than normal-nectarine, cherries, salad, bite of popcorn. AND I worked out, first time in P3-weights. I was weak afterwards, and a tad sore today. The combination of too many calories and the weights netted me a 1.6 lb gain overnight. Right at the tippy top of my window. So, my "dilemma" today? Do I CD, or not? So far I've enjoyed my coffee w/ cream and put a roast in the crockpot for dinner. I'm not opposed to a CD today, in fact I'd love to do my GYCD. But, that may be a bit strange w/ the inlaws here. I'm going to plan on it, and stay open and flexible to what the day brings. even if I just do a clean LC day I'm confident it'll be better tomorrow. We'll see. I'm not stressed and not shocked. Just owning it and hopeful it's not the exercise. I'd really like to keep it going, especially the weight training as its the only thing that rehapes and tones my body .

Reddy-you're doing great. Don't stress it, just relax and make good choices. I'm sure you'll be fine!

Christy-if the new scale isn't being nice, take it back! you'll be fine!

Julie- I know I've read to do a cd as soon as possible but since you haven't actually gone over I'd say maybe eat your roast and such but just watch it more today and if in the morning your at or over 2 then make tomorrow your Gycd!

Thanks for the encouragement. At Denny's. Has two eggs, bacon and sausage. Yummy!

Need a lift

Well, yesterday was the last day before I could start eating on phase 3. I hadn't been able to go to the bathroom in almost a week and at the end of the day, I was told my 90 day probation period at twork would not be extended. Wow, did that take the wind out of my sails. I really loved that job. I'm an out of work almost 53 y.o xray tech who is trying to stay faithful to the HCG diet. I made it through last night although I wanted a drink really bad. I stuck with club soda and lime. Today I got up with swollen eyes, got on the scale and was down 1.8, took a couple senna lax, ate a nice brekkie of eggs with chicken and cheese (YUM), drank coffee, and finally used the bathroom. Got back on the scale and was already up 1.6 from earlier today. Will try to stay positive. Need a break.

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Fatnomore-I agree w. Lara - weigh once, in the morning, naked after potty. The rest of the weights you'll take are VERY inaccurate. Relax and take it 1 day at a time. on the job . I'm sorry!! Hopefully you'll find something even better quickly and maybe full time w. benes? Hope so!! Try not to stress out too much!

Reddy-I took your advice and just ate "normally" today. I didn't have any nuts, or much fruit (had a few blueberries in my yogurt), or any cheese. I had yogurt, coffee/cream, egg & Bacon, and some roast beef w/ green beans and spinach salad. Should all be legal. Coming in around 1750 cals, which is below my RMR?BMR levels.

I'm really thinking it might be the weight lifting. this makes me very sad. I remember last P3 (and went back and reread my journal) I was going along well (not as great as this one, but even below LDW a few times) then wham-o! I added exercise and in and it never was back under control for long after that. I CDed and would be back in "window" then workout again, and gain it right back. That really stinks!! I did light weights during P2 and hoped that would lessen the impact in P3. Sadly, my first foray yesterday isn't making me encouraged. I love how I feel and look when I lift weights. But, I love weighing 147lbs too!! I'm not going to borrow trouble. I'll wait and see where I am tomorrow. We'll see. If I'm back down to 147.6 where I've been most of this past week I'lll be really happy!! I sure hope so. But I feel full (just had a cup of coffee for "dessert"). Hope I'm back to "normal" tomorrow.

Fatnomore good for you for not giving in despite the difficult circumstances! Sorry about the job I hope you find something great soon.

Julie- good luck on the scale tomorrow. Hopefully your clean eating will pay off. That stinks about the weight lifting. Seems counter intuitive but then it does make sense since you're building muscle. I haven't started exercising again yet and I'm not looking forward to it- I hate working out!

I think I did ok today - eggs bacon and sausage for breakfast, lil bit of turkey for lunch and dinner was cheese burger no bun and sauteed veggies - except I did have two glasses of red wine tonight? Did I totally screw myself? So scared of the scale on Monday.

Well, down 0.4 today. I'm ok w. that. But I'm not thrilled. I wish I were lower, but I'm still doing fine. I'll take it a day at a time and see where I am. No CD yet

So the rest of the day you don't eat at all? Just whatever you have during that one hour meal. Sounds interesting, and a little fun!

Larasuzz--Thx for the info on the one hour meal. Just curious whether you have anything else to eat the rest of the day, or is this like having a steak day?

Today I am still at what I was when I weighed yesterday AFTER finally going to the bathroom. Still down from my LDW by .4, so that OK.

Enjoying the brekkies of eggs, chicken and cheese omelets. YUM. I think I'm going to stick with a protein shake for lunch. Verrrry good.

When transitioning to P3, did anyone else have an upset stomach? I seemed to be ok until about 1-1.5 hrs after a protein shake yesterday. It lasted until I had dinner.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I know that God has a plan for me that I cannot see right now, but I have to believe that He knows what is best. Hopefully it will reveal itself to me before my daughter and I are on the street.

@Fatnomore: it's very common to have an upset tummy in the beginning of P3. Your body isn't used to fat anymore, and the comination with more protein. Take an enzyme supplement right before eating, that helps a lot. I also have a better tummy if I stop drinking 30min before a meal, and don't drink during the meal, and wait for about 30min after the meal before drinking again.

Hi All....

P3D3 and I'm thinking I over did it today. Not so much with the particular choices but more with the AMOUNT of food I ate.

Seems my appetite is back in full swing. It's not that I'm ravenous or anything but I have no trouble eating and I am finding myself thinking about food between meals and it's harder to tell that I'm "FULL" and should stop.

Breakfast was 3 Scrambled Eggs with Cheese. Coffee with HC.

Lunch was ham, turkey with Cheese wrapped in Lettuce.

Dinner was a 7oz Steak.

I also had hand full of Sugar Free Chocolate Covered Almonds (Per someones suggestion I got them at Fresh Market and OMG they are so good, are these REALLY P3 legal?) Gonna be hard not to eat more than a few at a time.

I haven't had any veggies today other than a little lettuce. Is that terrible?

I have a bad feeling I'm going to be up at least 2lbs on the scale tomorrow and be forced to do a CD. If so I'll probably try a steak day.

I definitely FEEL more full than I did in P2 and it's not a GOOD feeling.

Julie - You're in in P3? Will you lose a lot of ground if you just take the rest of this phase off weight training? Save the reshaping for P4 and beyond?

Mark exchanged the scale for me and now both are working! And they show different weights. Grrrr. . . .I'm just going to use the old one until it's completely dead and then adjust my weight when I switch.

P4 is going well. I have been eating what I want and not gaining. Sticking to hunger is working well for me. I had popcorn at the movies today, so that was a little scary. We'll see what happens. This morning I was only .2 above my LDW again.

Christy how far into P4 are you? That's the phase that scares me the most. Wish I could skip that one after 3 weeks and go back to P2! I worry that without strict guidelines, I could go far off track!

But it sounds like you're doing well so that's promising! How annoying that your scales aren't agreeing. That would drive me mad! Which one is right? I think you should stick with old scale like you said!

Questions about protein shakes - what brand is best for this phase?

How do you all make your shake?

I'm thinking that may be a good breakfast or lunch option but what to make it with? Could I make a shake with coffee / espresso shots or no? I haven't done protein shakes in years..

Hey guys! So, I went way up to 187 last week. I was pretty horrified. Went back down to 185 on Friday morning. I've been out at the cabin all weekend, came back today. I didn't have my scale with me, but I pretty much ate all P3 allowed food, however I do think I may have "overdone" the bacon (is that possible ) lol

I've been working out like a madwoman. Went jogging/power waking Weds, Thurs, Sat and today. I'm not really sure whether that will show some gains on the scale due to muscles, but I pretty much just naturally have big leg muscles so I can't see much gaining there. I'm not doing any weight lifting, just purely cardio to boost my metabolism, get out some aggression and fill my time until my BF shows up on Sunday. I'd like to be back down at 182 by Sunday.

Yep! The cream in my coffee is always my favorite part of starting P3. And bacon! how much longer for you?

Mander- did you have a good time? Cabin sounds lovely! Hope the scale is kind to you tomorrow!

Christy-yep, P3. I will prob take a little break from lifting. We'll see if clean P3 will get me closer to myLDW. You're doing great!! Glad you got a working scale :-). But you've done very well!

Had a good day. I had 2 shoestring fries from dd today. Shouldn't kill me, right? I'm coming in around 1800 cals and drinking lots of water.

Julie I think I am doing what I beleive we call rouge protocol. I am following a friend of mines plan which is three straight (43day)rounds. I am on day 29 and will take a three day break at day 36. then another 6 day break in Sept. another on Turkey day and finally Christmas break. At least that is the plan. When I finish my 3 rounds I have PX90 sittin in the closet and should come out in the spring as a new Eddie.

I am happy to see you are enjoying P3.

Eddie-wow!! You're brave!! I grow weary of P2 at 21ish days (truthfully around 18!!). I have been a LCer for 9 years and grown very fond of my cream!! If I were rogue on P2 these days (including my cream in my morning coffee) I would consider an extended round. But, w. strict protocol, I can only do black coffee for so long!! . Keep plugging away!! you've got the right perspective and have the long term goals in mind!! Good for you!!

I think we need a new thread for this week. I'll see about making one!! BRB!
