Even Dr Oz no longer recommends skim milk. He says it is best to have 2%!! So yes, full fat is much healthier......and yummier Remember that Simeons' does NOT have us count calories on P3, just avoid sugar and starch. That is it!

You may, you may not. You have had a rocky time on P2 so who knows? I know that I am looking forward to eggs, bacon and grapefruit with my coffee in for breakfast I am not scared, because I know what to do if I am out of my window

Yeah, P2 was rough. A lot of personal issues, so I'm pretty proud of myself for at least losing my loading weight plus an extra 6 pounds.

But how much is too much?! I KNOW that I have issues with eating too much. I could eat too much celery if given the opportunity, it doesn't have to be bad food.

I have had a very tough round too. Didn't mean to make you feel bad. You did do great!! Amazingly enough you will be surprised how much you won't want to eat tomorrow. We wait all 3 weeks or so of P2 for P3 and when it comes you don't want to eat I eat reasonable portions. I have 2 eggs fried in butter, 2 or 3 slices of bacon, 1/2 grapefruit. That is my breakfast with a cup of coffee. I love it!!! For lunch about a cup of full fat greek yogurt with added pecans and coconut and berries. Then for dinner meat and a salad. It seems like not much food, but it is filling. All that fat!!!! I love P3 I really do try to keep to what I would think are regular portions. And restaurant portions are not normal--they are way too big.

Okay, sounds good. I was thinking maybe 3 eggs (I can't do bacon or I'll eat the entire package in one night) for breakfast, some chicken and veggies for lunch and some bison or fish for dinner with veggies.

Sounds perfect! I would do 3 eggs if I didn't have bacon. To add some fat I put some sour cream on my eggs. Oh, talk about yum Fortunately I do have bacon I won't be home for lunch, so I am not sure what I will have yet. We shall see.

Hi All,
On P3...I think this is end of 2nd wk...beginning of 3rd week...Traveling...so no "easy" food...tho I am getting tired of caesar salads with chicken or salmon!!!
I'm at the AMA Women & Motorcycling convention in Carson City, NV....and playing catchup here....

Missing my P3 cheesecake and cocoa crack!!!

Back to weighing on my travel scale...and maintaining within LDW range...life is good!

I am now officially in P3 Have to get going on doing some baking. I want to have a few things to take with me that are going to be my treats for when we are in NC this weekend. I am thinking of some cream cheese muffins and some almond flour cupcakes. I am trying to transition my whole family to grain/gluten free so I am sure I will have them join me in eating what ever I make But first it is breakfast time!

Congrats on P3 Dawn!

So this am I'm exactly the same as yesterday, it was a low carb day to lock in my steak cd. Not sure what the heck I will do today though. I think I will fast all day until 3pm and then decide what I will do. Someone asked me out to dinner but I'm wondering if he will flake on me and if we do go I want to eat whatever I'd like so the torture will be worth yummy sushi. LOL.
Still 4 over liw but its okay.

Dawn-enjoy your bfast!! Hope your baking goes well. I can't jump into that type of stuff in P3 or I gain . I need to stick to whole food for a while.

Nicole-you're in the home stretch! You can do it! Finish strong!

Lara-STS after a steak day is quite an accomplishment . Have fun tonight, whatever you decide.

I'll be officially in P3 tomorrow!! But, , I did add half and half to my coffee this morning. 2 cups too! STS today even after lots of cabbage yesterday. Whew! And TOM is in the house . So, no complaints here . I not that anxious to be done today. Oddly enough I think maybe the cream was enough for me? Definitely what I miss most. Followed by Voskos . The hunger suppression seems to still be good. Yay!

Oh, and I'm wearing a really small pair of capris I've had for ages. They've NEVER fit! And today! They look good!

Good Morning ladies!

Yay Dawn! You've been ready for P3 for awhile. Glad it's finally here.

Lara, you ready? Next week darlin, and it's on!

Congrats Julie, on fitting into those pants. That's such a great feeling!

I was thinking today, that the biggest difference for me will probably come from this round. When it's all said and done, I want to treat myself to some kick butt new jeans! I've wanted a pair of miss me's forever, and I should be able to fit into them after this round.

I am so ready!! I was thinking that I would start Saturday but I have an all day seminar.. I could load that day but I dunno if I can eat everything I want... which might be good since I'm notorious for gaining 8 lbs on loading lol. Maybe thats a good plan then.

Hey ladies! Struggling to keep my weight from bouncing like crazy here, I'm having massive pooch bloating right now (I look pregnant, except my fundus isn't even over my pubic bone, yet!) with the hormones and retaining water like crazy. Still, sticking to the intuitive eating and doing decently, though a few meals have been overages and I'm aware of it.

I'm taking the kids to the zoo in a little bit and then settling down for a nap this afternoon. We have annual passes and it is a beautiful day, so even a homebody/vampire like me can't resist a bit of sun!

I might be joining you guys a week later. I saw some great reshaping on this last round but the weight loss isn't really sticking. I am stabilizing great, just higher than I'd like. I am going to visit family out of town from 8/1 to 8/9 so if I come back feeling icky, I may do a quick round, loading the weekend of the 11th. I'll see how I feel when I get back though...

you ARE pregnant... lol

anyways, first day on P3 is going well. Had 1 cup of egg whites and 1/2 cup of salsa for breakfast with a coffee. Had one chicken skewer for lunch. Honestly, just the ability to have my extra protein without feeling guilty is keeping me in line. I wasn't even tempted by the nanaimo bars that I so dearly love at the coffee shop a bit ago. Maybe P3 won't be so bad?!

Hi All!

I will be moving into P3 a week from today and I'm reading up and trying to prepare.

I get the gist of this phase, and I did atkins induction for 4 months before hcg so I know what it means to eat low carb but I have a few questions.

First, I know there is no particular calorie counting or limits but how much do we really want to /need to eat?

Can I expect to not be that hungry for a while because my body has gotten used to eating so little or is my appetite going to come back full force?

I know on Atkins Induction you can't have fruit but can you have as much fruit (low sugar/ glycemic) as you want?

Can you eat Nuts in p3?

I realize you have to start slow in introducing things back but once you're in full low carb eating for a week or so, What happens when you do a small cheat? I ask this b/c when I was on Atkins Induction, if I so much as looked at a glass of wine or a piece of Licorice, I would gain a lb. Is that what happens if you indulge in a piece of chocolate or some frozen yogurt once in a while? I really want to maintain the weight I lost and Ideally do another round in the fall so I want to do this right!

Thanks!

Well, I'll try to answer some of your questions

You've got the right idea, that first week go slow and keep it clean Atkins style. I kep fruit in, lower glycemic works best for me. Once I'm eating higher calories and pretty stable I usually add froyo. And some chocolate too. Ive done well w/ it in the past. Take all the challenging foods (nuts, cheese, sweeter fruits, etc) slowly!

On the gaining ?, it's different for each of us. I'm pretty sensitive and can gain quickly from a carby indulgence. Others can have lots of carbs w/ little to no gain.

Basically P3 is all about testing out our "new" bodies react. You'll find you may be sensitive to things that never bothered you before. And some things will work fine that you couldn't tolerate well before. I've seen that eggs don't go well for me . Watching your portions is key too.

There are online calories to help you find your chart calorie level. RMR/BMR . I use it as a loose guide, but won't push myself past hunger this time around.

HTH!

Thank you! Really looking forward to P3 - I am so sick of celery and asparagus! I do want to be careful with my calories bc I think I may have been consuming too many calories when I was on Atkins and think that may be why I stalled.

I did the BMR calculations last night and it said around 2100 which seems like a lot after this. But I also know eating Atkins style full fats that the calories add up quickly! I will just go slow and try not to eat past hunger (always been a struggle for me) hope I do well!

HTH!
I agree with everything Julie said for P3 EXCEPT for the froyo (unless it is sugar free) and the chocolate. IMHO, both are best saved for P4 because they have sugar.

Oops, forgot to specify that. I have a good froyo place out here w/ stevia sweetened dark chocolate froyo! and does me no harm! And I do have dark choc sometimes on P3 . Also does me no harm, but Shelby's right, it's not protocol.

Silly question: is "froyo" called frozen yogurt? I have a yogurt place here, Orangeleaf...and they have SF choc. & SF vanilla...both made w/ erythritol(sp?). Been thinking to have a small cup when I get to P3, week 2 as a treat. I love ice cream/yogurt. Also have a recipe using coconut milk, cocoa powder & sweetener...pic looks divine

Yeah I'd only do sugar free froyo in P3.

Found a recipe last night on pinterest for a homemade cake batter "I'ce cream" made with coconut milk and stevia I believe that said just 40 cals per serving. I want to post the recipe here and see if you all think it's ok for p3
