Note to self:
Chinese food, even if it is chicken and veggies without rice, is not protocol food. Eating Chinese food because you rationalized that it would be ok and convinced yourself that there was no difference was a really dumb, dumb thing to do. Now suffer for it- and have fun releasing the 1 pound gain.. ![]() I'm hoping it's just water weight from the sodium.. FA!! Strict protocol today... even though I'm so tempted to do a CD. argh.. so mad at myself!! |

morning ladies!
Thanks for starting the new thread dawnyama! Well I was not quiet as success this weekend as I hoped I would be. We were out of state at a wedding. Eating wise I think I did pretty good. But I had a couple drinks....ugh...not a lot, but still! So this morning I am up 0.8lb. Here's to a week of clean eating everyone! For some reason, i just can't get this in my head....What day am I on and how long should i go? I'm trying to decipher how long to go this round, mostly because I keep reading how the first time is the best. So I loaded on July 6 and 7th and started VLCD1 on Sunday July 8th. Suggestions anyone? I am pretty committed and have lost 15lbs so far. Advice??? Thanks ladies! |

Good morning, all:
I think my scales are messed up, maybe need a new batteries. I weighed twice this morning and got two different numbers, neither one of them good. The first time I stayed the same, the second time (about 30 minutes later) I gained .4. So either way, I didn't lose, and may have gained. I guess I will take the gain in hopes it will help my numbers tomorrow. Have a great day! Starting weight: 169.1 After loading: 172.8 (+ 3.7) VLCD #1 - 172.2 (- .6) VLCD #2 - 170.3 (-1.9) VLCD #3 - 168.8 (-1.5) VLCD #4 - 167.3 (-1.5) VLCD #5 - 166.9 (-0.4) VLCD #6 - 165.6 (-1.3) VLCD #7 - 164.8 (-0.8) VLCD #8 - 164.1 (-0.7) VLCD #9 - 164.0 (-0.1) VLCD#10 - 163.5 (-0.6) VLCD#11 - 163.1 (-0.4) VLCD#12 - 162.9 (-0.2) VLCD#13 - 162.6 (-0.3) VLCD#14 - 162.2 (-0.4) VLCD#15 - 162.6 (+0.4) |

HELP
A couple of weeks before starting hhgc, I planned a dinner party at my house which happens to be this coming Friday. I know I'll end up eating off protocol. My question ... Do I start all over again, or have a CD. On Friday it will be 7 days incl loading.
TIA |

Chouter-good attitude on STS! You've been losing so well, you know it'll pick back up Andie-if it's at your house why do you have to cheat? Can you BBQ some burgers and just have a small one? It can certainly be done ( I'll make a batch of chili in the crockpot and just take a small serving picking out the beans). Don't just give up! You're a week into it. Try to minimize the cheats as it really seems to mess w/ the hormonal side of the protocol. ![]() Happy-ooh Chinese? Notorious for hidden sugars and starches, not to mention MSG etc. wish it didn't taste so good!!! Weekends are the hardest time for me too!Wow! We're all having a hard time! I highly recommend Robin Woodall's book Weight Loss Apocalypse. She has free videos on Utube too. Very good info. Made me really the about protocol differently, especially cheating! Scared me straight . I was def a rogue before this and now understand things much better and have a new found respect for the protocol. The hormonal side-leptin, thyroid, Hcg, Etc. are what really makes the plan work. Messing w/ that too much can make stabilizing a nightmare! It's hard enough! Be careful ladies! Be strong. It's only 3 weeks out of your life. You can do anything for 3 weeks!I'm on VLCD19 today. Down 0.4 to 147.8 very happy! After eating out yesterday i wasnt sure how itd go. You nebpver know what they add to your food, even when youre carefyl! I would like to extend and see if I can get any lower, but really want to eat! decision,s decisions. Maybe a few more days, but that means another weekend! soooo hard to stick to P2 on the weekends! ![]() Make it a great week! "I can have that later!" needs to be our motto!

Ugh!! I am up today too. Very disappointing since tomorrow is my LDW. I cannot believe I have not gotten to 15 lbs lost this round. I always, always do 15 lbs in a round. I hope I can at least say I am at 14 lbs down this round. Otherwise I will consider my next 2 weeks as an interruption. I have to finish my P2 by latest day Friday as we leave on Sat for my vacation. I am so tired of P2 also. I would consider today as my last dose weight, however, I would like to give it one more day to see if I can get this gain off. Geesh!! Can't catch a break.

Julie--love your pep talk
![]() You are so sweet to remind us of these things. I am sticking to protocol just because I want to maximize my losses. And that hasn't worked But I am down at least 14 lbs from start weight. So in all it is good. Just not my best. Berta--so glad you checked in. Prayers for your DH this afternoon. Hope things go smoothly. My uncle had his gallbaldder taken out (maybe it was appendix and they just took the gallbladder too) when he was in his 70s and he did remarkably well. I think your hubby will be just fine Congratulations on your first mini goal ![]() woohoo!! |

I have been pretty steady this round, today was my first gain, but it has been slow-going with tiny losses that hardly add up. UGH! I too was hoping for at least 15 on this round. Bummer! |
The party at my house has me making one appetizer and each of my friends bringing one, plus will include cocktails. I'll probably make cabbage wraps instead of the avocado wantons I was planning. I'm just being honest in saying that I will be having things that aren't protocol. My main question is, do I have a correction day or just get right back on track the next day? I'm really am trying to give this my all, and have even declined other invitations, which includes a family reunion because of protocol.
I probably should have waited till after the party to begin, but slipped my mind.
() Ph 2 no Correction days just keep pluggin along. It is just time wasted when we cheat. I have done it many times . If I had not I would probably be at around 240 by now. But it isn't a race and you can't just not enjoy life. But yet we have to learn self control and the more we practice it.... the easier it gets!![]() Best wishes![]() Last edited by Berta48; 07-23-2012 at 09:53 AM.. |

Andie-I hear ya! Finding the perfect time to do a round is impossible! There's always something-bday, wedding, graduation etc. just do the best you can and go back to clean P2 the next day. Maybe not eat most of the day until the party and try to minimize the off plan choices too? Clean P2 will help you relose and you still have time afterwards.
Dawn- I'm sorry your round isn't your best one yet . Do you think your body may be getting used to it? Wherever you finish, enjoy your loss, wear that bikini proudly, and have a wonderful time on vacation!!Berta- hope all goes well w/ dh. And on hitting 250!!!! Way to go! You're certainly the little engine that could! Chugging away losing syeadily! Love your mindset that weightless is a marathon, not a sprint. The fast losses on Hcg always make me forget that! Kutgw!Just put pork ribs in the crockpot for dinner. Sure wish this was a P3 day . |

I did my apple day. Just finishing up now. Went from 187.8 to 183.6. I'm hoping it will keep going down and I won't rebound back up.
Today feels like a new chapter for me. I was so totally at rock bottom yesterday. I was mad at myself for eating all those cupcakes, I felt physically sick from the sugar and gluten, and I was REALLY missing my ex boyfriend, despite having a great new guy in my life now. It took all my courage not to binge eat or (quite frankly worse) call my ex crying. I'm ready to get into the 170's and get these last pounds off!!!!! Berta - how long do you think your DH will be in the hospital for? |

I was also pondering a few things this morning. Everyone says I don't look anywhere near 183 pounds, and even though I think I look closer to average now but I can still grab handfuls of fat on my stomach and thighs. So I thought to myself, perhaps all my life I've thought I had a large frame and that's why I am heavier than I look, or perhaps I have a very tiny frame, and therefore I am heavier than I look and it just fills me out?
And then I was also thinking, wow, I still look really fat and I've lost almost 50 pounds. so.... HOW FAT DID I LOOK BEFORE?!?! and then I was really horrified. ![]() ![]() |

![]() When everyone hears my numbers they think I am a stick. But alas, that is not true I have always thought I was big boned because I am thick--stocky I think is what you would describe it. I don't have a big butt or large thighs ---I am just large all over. I am now at 124.6 and am still big. I have huge arms and my thighs have cellulite everywhere. So I am not done with P2. Just breaking for now so I can enjoy my vacation. When I am at 115, I am thin and not huge!! Cellulite is gone and I feel so much better. I know what you are talking about, as I still have fat I can pinch. |

I don't see what the world's problem with being thin is. I'm not talking about like anorexic thin, just a nice healthy weight. Why am I not allowed to want to be thin? I always get crap from people like clients or family or friends who say I better not get too thin. Why? Because then I will be smaller than you? I don't WANT to be curvy. I don't embrace the whole "fat is beautiful" thing. I actually think it's really unhealthy. I am in a ranting mood today LOL |

![]() I always get it from my DH's aunt. She tells me every time she hears I am on a diet (again) that I shouldn't. She says that my face is too thin and when I diet it only gets skinnier. That is her problem not mine. I just nod and say "OK"! And it is done! We chose what we want to weigh, nobody else. They don't see us naked, only we do When a co-worker asked me "what are you losing weight for"? She was like accusing me of being anorexic or something. I told her "I am sucked, tucked and smashed into this uniform. If you could see me out of it you would understand " Then I told her I am going on vacation next week and want to be bathing suit ready. And just laughed it off. None of her business anyhow. |

Meanders,
I get the SAME sh-t from my mom who also does hCG. I'm 5'7" and due to summer/vacation I have gained some weight back but would like to get back to about 140 (maybe even just under)... People always have something to say. The worst though is when it comes from my mom who I've tried to coach and work through her own losses (she has way more weight issues than I do)... Very frustrating. As for "cheating"... Has anyone tried the 800 calorie protocol? |

I was down zero this morning, which totally shocked me since I crashed and burned at the bridal shower yesterday!
YAY! I am a little scared about what tomorrow could bring. I did spend quite a bit of time in the potty yesterday after the shower. My body didn't like me eating that stuff! Sorry for the TMI. ![]() |
