I am determined to not only to lose weight but to transform myself into a physically healthy, morally just mentor to my grown children. Be an example. I know it sounds corny but I have been running hard for too long.
And you?
Well ya I guess it's a drop but I was gunning for my 50lb loss mark today.

That's a darn good reason to start!

I actually started because my ex who's in the movie industry had gotten tickets for the Hollywood premiere of the new Hobbit movie and I didn't want to be fat on the red carpet with the celebrities.

We broke up, so I just continued doing it for myself and the gluten-free/dairy-free became part of my lifestyle. We've consistently gotten back together and broken up again over the last 6 months. We're both idiots.

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Well, after all my big talking, I'm not going to extend. I probably could force myself, but I'm starving today!! Like gnaw my arm off. And grouchy!! Dh was snacking in chic almonds, then trail mix right in front of me, and I wanted to cause him harm. so, to avoid criminal behavior, I am calling the end of this round. It's been good, today is VLCD21, and my LDW will be 147.2. No complaints

I gave in to the nuts last night. Mac nuts. Man, they were good. But I didn't have dinner. Didn't help, I was just up slightly today.

I am calling my round on Sunday, day 21. I've had enough, too. Imma be really good between now and then, though.

I plan on going into P3 on Sunday. I have no idea what that really means though lol I have no idea what I can and can't eat there. Is it basically like Atkins Induction? I'm terrified of bouncing back up.

Nevermind, I looked it up. I'm just trying to decide how many calories is too many. I plan on basically doing p2, just with more protein.

Ok so I have a question for you all...

I'm going out of town next weekend so I'd like to be in P3 by Friday.

If I do the full thing I would be done Wednesday but then I have to continue the diet for 72 hours after my last injection right?

So my question is would I be better off skipping my last injection and then doing the 3 days so that I can move to P3 on Friday or can I just move to P3 after 2 days instead of 3 after last injection. (Hope that all made sense)

THANKS!

I thought it was 2 days, but maybe it's 3 with injections.

The packet I have says continue the 500 cal diet for 72 hours after the last injection. So wait, does that mean 3 days AFTER that day? Or would the last injection day count as one so it's really 2 more after that. Hmmm... .

Ok another question... would I be able to do an apple day during that last 72 hours or no? The reason I ask is that it may be easier to do since I"ll be traveling.

I've wondered the exact same thing, but I think when my time comes for that, that I'll do 3 days. Unless I'm absolutely DYING of hunger on that 3rd day lol...

I think I'll contact the girl to verify. I really want to be able to eat more normal when I'm on my trip next weekend. It will be so much easier.

Based on my math, if the 72 hours DOES start on the day of my last injection, then I think I'll just stop one day early so that I can start P3 on Friday.

Or, one last scenario. What if I start P3 on Friday night instead of Saturday morning so I can at least go out to dinner with my family. Do you guys think that starting it Friday night instead of Sat morning would really be an issue????? - Bolded b/c this is my #1 question.

It's 48 hours if you're on hHCG and 72 hours if you're on RX HCG. So if you're on RX and your last dose is Wednesday morning, you would begin P3 on Saturday morning, technically. If you really want to eat out on Friday, you can, but just be aware that there is a risk of some weight gain should there still be any HCG left in your system! There may not be at that point, but you just won't be sure. It's up to you

On the apple day: I've actually done one in my last 72 hours because I was traveling. I was fine.

HTH!

Don't forget the fat! If I match my fat and proteins evenly, then round out the rest with veggies and fruit, it seems to be a pretty good and stable day for me on P3.

For example:
100 grams fat: 900 cals
100 grams protein: 400 cals
50 grams carbs (veg/fruit) 200 cals
1500 cals for the day. I eat more than that while on P3, usually 2000 or so, but wanted to give you an idea. As you stabilize, you can adjust.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I certainly don't want to gain so maybe I'll just end a day early. I wouldn't eat a big meal if I did eat out friday anyway since I know I need to ease into it so I might just eat something light if I do that. Will see where my weight is at on Tuesday and decide from there I guess.

I can totally empathize with you... I am HUNGRY! The mister is eating chinese right now and the smell is maddening! All day long I have been contemplating stopping on Friday, but am trying to struggle through it.

Either way, I am jealous. I have to wait till Friday, and then decide. I miss GY and steak.. among many other things not to be mentioned here

I'm super dizzy this evening. Haven't eaten much today. Had a protein drink at noon, some tomatoes, cukes and chicken at 4pm. Just had some pieces of chicken. I want to eat like 74 of them LOL

I've heard not to an apple day close to the end of he round, as there could be rebound gains? Hope it goes well though!

Doesn't sound like much food . I'm only at 397 cals, but all my food for protocol is used up! Grrr. I upped my potassium and magnesium. Really helped w/ my lightheadedness and dizziness.

2 more days...

I think I'm calling it quits. This round was just brutal. Had a bad start by gaining 7lbs to begin with from loading. I'm throwing in the towel.

How many days were you on? How much did you lose this round?

I think it's key to have your head in it, b/c if it's not it's so much harder to be successful!

umm well after i gained 7lbs on loading. so if you include that, I lost 12.

I've been on this round for 3 weeks. I haven't taken my drops today, so I'll start finishing up now.

So glad to hear your husband is doing better Berta!

How is everyone's scale today? Did anyone toss it around today? I wanted to!

TOM is finally over so I thought I'd see a whoosh. Got on the scale and it said 165.7! Couldn't believe my eyes! Down 2lbs! So I stepped back on to make sure it was right and it said 167.4 so I got on it again and again and again hopin to see 165 again but no such luck! Stupid scale! Teasing me! Only down .2????

So glad to hear your husband is doing better Berta!

How is everyone's scale today? Did anyone toss it around today? I wanted to!

TOM is finally over so I thought I'd see a whoosh. Got on the scale and it said 165.7! Couldn't believe my eyes! Down 2lbs! So I stepped back on to make sure it was right and it said 167.4 so I got on it again and again and again hopin to see 165 again but no such luck! Stupid scale! Teasing me! Only down .2????
LOL---->tossing the scale around. I've been on a stall since Sunday...got a whoosh this morning

Believe me...I felt like throwing my scale, but it's glass...

Oh Berta that IS good news!

As for me - damnblasthellandheck! I fell off the wagon yesterday face first into pizza and chicken soup with potatoes and candy. On my second day of no drops before starting P3 today! So this morning I'm bloated and uncomfortable and up 1.6. GRRRRROWL @ me!! And tonight is my dinner out that I've been looking forward to! I'll just have to try to make it a steak day since we're going out to a steakhouse anyway. I hope I can fit into my jeans with this bloat!

My downfall was pizza left from the children's end of summer reading program brought back to the library I work at. And then I threw it all to the wind - you know, one of those well I might as well, I've really done it now anyway things.

Siiiigh.
