Unrealistic goals?

Was just curious to know if losing very large amounts of weight is possible on long/multiple rounds of hcg. Such as, lets say, 150 pounds.. give or take a newborn baby or two. Or is that unrealistic and not possible? Has anyone here lost anywhere near that much? Should I just opt for lipo? :console:

dawnyama 07-14-2012 03:39 PM

Oh, no!! Do not do lipo! I heard that the fat they suck out is truly gone from your body, but when (or I should say IF) you gain weight afterwards you gain new fat cells in awkward places  You can do well on hcg. Several here have lost close to 100 lbs.

Hi FR,

Last September, I saw my dr and had considered Gastric Bypass or Lap Band to lose the 120-140 lbs I needed to lose...and decided to give Rx hCG a chance.

I started in late October...and have done 3 long rounds and 1 short round. I'm down 66 lbs. (I had lost another 10 but gained 5 back after each of the first 2 rounds.)

My skin has continued to pull in as I continued to shrink. I'm 5'4" and 57 y.o. F. I started at 273 and am now currently at 207. I figure I'll end up somewhere between 130-150...but not sure exactly where with my medium-large frame.

currently this is the inches breakdown for me...
Bust (down 8 1/2")
Waist (down 10 1/2")
Hips (down 10 1/4")
Thighs (down over 6 1/2" each)
Knees (down 4" each)
Calves (down 2 5/8" each)
Upper arms (down over 2 5/8" each)
Forearms (down over 1 3/8" each)
Weight (down 66 lbs)

I don't currently have alot of "baggy skin", as it's taken me 9 mo to get to this point. Not only that, but I'm finding the areas where I felt like I had an excess of over-distributed fat have seemed to reduce...so my body feels more even, and less "problem-spot" lumpy.

I know of some folks (esp those with multiple pregnancies) who have has tummy tucks/breast lifts after hCG...and they have seemed to be happy with them. Not sure what I'll do with another 60 off...we'll have to see.

I CAN tell you I'm glad I didn't do the other surgeries and found Rx hCG...it's been a miracle...no question.

HTH (Hope this helps),

I think you can do whatever you put your mind to, although I do think there are some ways you can make it easier on yourself. I started at 232 and began by limiting myself to 40 grams of carbs a day and absolutely no wheat or milk products. At 215, I switched to Atkins induction and did that until 202. I couldn't seem to break the 2 mark, so I switched to hHCG and I've gotten down to 183 as of today.

I couldn't imagine going from eating 3000 calories a day to 500. Could you explain the newborn thing? Does that mean you're pregnant right now?

Very reassuring to hear that. I've been doing quite a bit of reading on hcg lately, though I've not seen too many ladies of my size that seem to be on it. I feel like a whale among fish with some of your profile pictures. Ya'll are just tiny and svelte! lol Im so envious!

Jodie, wow! Thanks for the breakdown, thats awesome! I hope I can see the same type of results as you. My hope (not sure if I should say "goal" since, honestly, any weight lost is an achievement) is 150 pounds gone. As for inches, the more the merrier in any location - it would be nice to not have to wear size 54 mens bluejeans anymore. :o

Manders, I can be an extremely focused person, some say to the point of complete stubbornness. I think I just hit a bit of a down day and kinda looked at the task of losing so much weight as the unreachable holy grail. But the more I read success stories and look over before/after photos, the more I *know* I can do this. Gotta be positive right? Im gonna be sexy next summer, yup, you just wait and see.
And no, not currently pregnant though possible plans for one in the future, once some things in life sort themselves out. I was more or less referring to 8-10 pounds or so. :D I have an odd habit with loopy metaphors sometimes. So like my "goal" is 150 pounds lost, but I wouldnt exactly complain with 140 or 160.

Glad you all are here tho, cos I have a feeling Im going to need alot of support and pushes in the right direction. ;)
Sometimes I get so excited, already looking at clothes I might be able to fit into someday, there's also so many things I would love to try in life but am currently too large for like hang gliding, parasailing, scubadiving (i look like a beached whale in a wetsuit), horseback riding (on something smaller than a clydesdale would be nice)......... and then other times I look at the limited food and just go "ugh!" "Where's the bacon, and soda, and meat-lovers pizzas?!"

MagieDen 07-15-2012 04:52 AM

You can do this, just put one step in front of the other and one day at a time and you will do great! :hugs:

Here is a very motivating thread about our own Shelby:

She has lost 70 lbs on hhcg and looks amazing!!! You can do it too!

Oh, and my pic is me at goal. I do have a before which shows me at my much larger start weight of 150 lbs. Just don't like those old pics of me.

Dawn~how do you do the direct link like the one you did above? Is it the insert link tab (pic of blue earth?) been trying to figure it out...lol. I know it is really simple...prolly why I'm not succeeding :o

ETA: I think I may have figured it out...I need to right-click "copy link address"...I wasn't doing that...kept seeing the whole www link, etc...was looking for the title of the thread only, and this works...yay! Just in case someone else doesn't know how...they will now ;)

Nope. I do it the long way. I open a new tab on my browser and go to the other thread, copy there, and come back to paste. I know there must be another easier way, but I don't know how to do it.

Sweetie, EVERYONE looks like a beached whale in a wetsuit! Seriously!

Welcome--you are going to do GREAT! Also, C'Marie has lost about 100 pounds and JulieBoolie who has a success thread of her own has lost around 120 or so. Those ladies are both MY inspiration!

Arctic_Mama 07-15-2012 08:22 PM

I'd have to do the math with my signature... But I've lost just shy of 100 pounds since I started counting (about 110-115 if we're considering my all time high weight) and I think 65 or so of that has come off with hCG? I'd be losing more but now I'm on a pregnancy break and so any weight lost is coming off through general on-plan eating (nutritious, satiety driven, low to moderate carb). Still, I've lost weight and kept it off through hCG, calorie counting, AND low carb over the past four years, with no significant regains.

It can be done, it isn't even that hard, but it DOES require complete commitment to changing the way you relate to food and never, ever giving up.

I have lost about 130 but went all the way down to losing 150 at one point, I am dealing with issues including discouragement at times and some emotional issues that arose in me. I know you can do it. We'll cheer you on! I am currently waiting for a supply of RXHCG to come and want to get in a place where I'm fully on and fully committed. I'm also waiting for Weight Loss Apolcalypse to arrive in my mail box. Here's my before photo. I have struggled with losing and gaining the last 20 lbs but I'm gonna do it, by the grace of God I know I will and forever put to death my power food has had over me or that I've allowed it to. In the past four years I have been through the death of a spouse, the healing and COMPLETE restoration of a suicidally depressed teen who is so amazing I am blown away. And remarriage 1.5 years ago, moving to a new city, a new job and the adjustment to all of that.

I am so thankful I saw this thread! I have been so down lately about putting some weight back on and it's just the push and inspiration I needed!!! :jumpjoy: I can't wait to read through all the stuff I have been missing on here!!!

Oh, Shelby, how I missed you!!! :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Very true! I've always had a flat tummy/tiny waist but huge thighs and saddle bags. Well I had lipo on my thighs to get rid of my saddle bags, inner and outer thigh, knee area and under my buttocks. However, i gained weight after lipo and the fat went to my waist, an area I've never had issues with prior to lipo. So Dawn is correct!

julieboolie 07-16-2012 09:19 PM

:welcome: I know where you are it seems an impossible task, but it certainly can be done!! You sound motivated and committed, which is totally necessary. :high5:

I have lost about 125lbs. About 100 of it was with Atkins. My first shot at it was successful and I kept losing throughout that first year. I was thrilled. I never could get below about 175 without heroic measures, and couldn't keep any losses below that point.

So, back in 2010-2011 I found hcg and have been able to get down to my current (give or take) weight of about 148-150. I was skeptical, but it does work, even for lifetime obesity sufferers w/ hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance and thryroid issues :D.

You're in good company!! It definitely possible. Look at it in little chunks though. Otherwise it's overwhelming. 10lbs at a time. :high5:

FraggleRock 07-17-2012 07:23 AM

Very good point, a little bit at a time. Get myself into one size smaller jeans and I'd be happy. lol. After that, we'll see how far I can take it.

I've already started making some little meal plans, using some of the ideas on the site. And have spent so much time reading over posts and stories here, it's making me so much more confident about this!

I'm ready to change, and I'm so glad I found this site for support and help if I hit a little speed bump somewhere along the way.

Same thing happened to me. Heavy hips and thighs became bat wings and back fat, post-lipo.

You can totally do it! There are some great stories here and on You Tube. I highly recommend reading Weight Loss Apocalypse and watching her videos on You Tube (just search for weight loss apocalypse). The woman's name is Robin Woodall and her book and videos are absolutely changing my life.

Like you, I have a lot to lose. I'm thinking around 120 pounds. I'm down 22 after my first round of HCG. I'm in P3 now and can't wait to lose more!

It totally can be done!!

pendragginp 07-17-2012 07:17 PM

And honestly the ladies here are warm and supportive. They cheer you on and help you back up if you're discouraged. You can do it!
